    XBLA server searched by hackers, tons of new Cover art for Unannounced and Upcoming games

    Hackers leak tons of unreleased Xbox Live Arcade games | VentureBeat

    Digging around in the cover art files for Xbox.com has revealed over a dozen unreleased (and some unannounced) titles. Included among the previously unknown titles are Double Dragon II (Double Dragon Neon was released last month) and Star Wars First Assault.

    Other titles — like Toe Jam & Earl, Retro City Rampage, and Karateka — have all been officially confirmed by their publishers. Sega’s HD remake of Nights into Dreams comes out this week, and GamesBeat can confirm the cover art discovered by the hackers is legit.

    I'm almost certain this wasn't a hack but a marketing thing.

    1) What kind of hacker spends there time getting into a system with million's of peoples personal information and then decides on getting a few pictures instead.
    2) About half of these "Unannounced" and "upcoming games" are already out.
    3) Why would unreleased games already have information on the servers if they aren't out or even announced yet.

    Because they scaned xbox.com servers for the pics, they didn't do a hardcore crack-in.
