    Need help with Sega Dreamcast

Honestly, I didn't know where to put this but I said fuck it and placed it hear. I bought this at a shop for $10. As far as I know, it turns on, but I don't think it works on my modern TV. I have a Hisense 32D12. What can I do to try it on a modern TV? I tried googling and it seems I need some sort of adapter. Any help?

Heres a picture of what I got. I know I need the VMU memory card and a game or 2.

The regular av wires work for me but picture quality isn't the best.

I use a VGA cable and something that like this...
DC Dreamcast Sega VGA Box High Definition Cable s Video RCA Adapter Converter | eBay
I read some games and TV models don't work with them but i've never had any problems with either.

I noticed there are Dreamcast/VGA wires on Ebay now but i don't have any experince with them but that would be a less cluttered look than going with the box.

Hmmm I could go with that. Honestly I don't care about the quality, I just want to know if the console actually works before I invest into it.

I would, but I haven't had an old TV like that in years.

You can find them on Craigslist for $20. Even free sometimes.

Even some recent consoles don't work with certain HD TVs. My Wii doesn't have color output on the Aquos brand HD TVs in my house.

32 is too big. Thanks for the offer tho.

I'm going to buy the VGA box and use RCA cables to connect to my TV. I'll give yall an update when I get it and see if it works.

^ This, or if your TV will support it the A/V cables to plug it in should fix your issue. As for games, I'm not advocating this but you can put Dreamcast games on standard blank CDs at least for testing purposes to see if it works. Though most are fairly cheap at second hand game shops or ebay/ amazon.
