you wanna know the bullshit excuse that they can use for desmond being related to all these people.

Genghis khan. he had so much sex with all sorts of women that pretty much anyone can be his relative (me, you, Anyone you meet today).

desmond can relive your memories if he felt like it.

I was really hoping just to play just as Desmond for this game but I guess this is cool as well.

Well, looks like I'll have to get Brotherhood and Revelations before AC3 comes.

That cover art styling reminds me a LOT of Assassin's Creed II, which I loved, so this should be good. Even more excited now!

Very nice sig by In2, thank you very much!

Apparently GI is sending out next month's issue with this cover-art to a very small number of randomly selected subscribers.
    I really want this one

I'd assume this will be the only one to be part of a "ACIII" series, at least in the main console lineage (I'd put money on the Vita game involving this new assassin.). Assuming this game finishes the 2012 storyline, the next console game will probably start a new saga and hence get the numbering four.

In other news, my god am I excited for this one. Very much looking forward to it.

    Basic formula people:

As long as Ubisoft pushes out more ancestors, more spin off sequels will be made. More spin offs, more buck.

Sorry to say it, but I wouldn't get too excited to see the conclusion of Desmond's story just yet.

Man, my excitement for this has skyrocketed over the last couple days. All the leaks, now official confirmations with boxart and magazine covers. This is going to be awesome. And I agree with Ps360's earlier comment (as I've echoed many other times). I want to play as a female assassin! Maybe in the next trilogy, we'll finally get that chance. Also, if they've been working on this game for 3+ years or so like they've been saying, I expect it to be as huge as AC2 was, if not bigger. Imagine the story length from AC2, but with the best of all the extra side-content they've been adding into the games since? Could we finally get a 60+ hour AC game? Yes, please! Give us 10 sequences of ancestor, and 10-15 of Desmond, and I'll be super happy.

Well, fuck! They better not screw up, although they've already got minus points for choosing such a lame and uninteresting setting.

AC3 seems have the least interesting setting so far in the series... bring back Ezio and Altair!

The American Revolution was basically a rag-tag militia defeating the greatest military and navy of the day. That's a pretty inspiring story there. That time period may not have the architecture of Renaissance Italy, but it was a (mostly) unblemished landscape thick with wildlife. The beauty of that possible setting is enough.

I have a feeling that Benjamin Franklin designed the hidden blade.
