    New Zombie Filled Dead Island: Riptide Screens Released

    Dead Island: Riptide the open world action role-playing zombie game that comes to you from developer Techland just had some new screens released. Dead Island: Riptide is the sequel to Dead Island, but the developers prefer to call it a spin-off. The game follows Purna, Logan, Sam B, and Xian and the games new character John Morgan. The game takes place on the island of Palanai which is in the Banoi archipelago. As the five your goal is the survive the zombie infestation on the island and get off it safely. Players' will be able to choose from the five survivors as their playable character. Dead Island: Riptide is set to release for the PS3 on April 23, 2013 in North America and April 26, 2013 in Europe.


    The new images that were released by Techland contain a lot of zombies in them. Also in the new screens are the games protagonists. Those protagonists being Xian, Sam, Logan, and Purna. In all of them you can see the protagonists fighting off herds of zombies with anything and everything they got. Another thing they contain is some explosions being shown in them. Finally you will get to see some of the setting in the new screens that were released.

    I like it, it looks slightly more colorful, but not so much that it completely changes the style of the game.

    I just hope they bring in a few more weapons and make the four characters have even more distinctive elements, that sets them apart from one another.

    The first was a co-op blast, and I am totally on board for this second outing. Hopefully all the wonky technical issues are ironed out this time around, so that people can look past them, and get back to whacking off zombie limbs.
