    Dark Souls II Reveal Trailer!

    Namco Bandai's beloved Dark Souls series is getting a sequel. Dark Souls II debuted last night as a CG trailer during Spike's Video Game Award show. The footage showed armored knights working through hostile terrain, and taking on an army wearing masks similar to those worn by the Court of Owls in New 52's Batman. You also see a dragon/skeleton that looks to be the size of Godzilla. I really hope we get to fight one of those! Wouldn't that be awesome? I loved the first Dark Souls, so i'll definitely be picking the one up!

    Video isn't working due to the VGA's crummy copyright reasons (I presume).

    Anyway, really excited about this! Just some small information that wasn't mentioned:

    The game will come to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 - More important than you might think because it means that it will not be coming to next-gen consoles. Considering that those new devices are expected to come within the next year or two, we can guess that the release date will be around Fall of 2013.

    Miyazaki (FromSoft's creative director, I believe) has also mentioned that multiplayer will likely be revitalized with an actual mode. Could mean the end of invasions and a separate fully-fledged PvP mode similar to the DLC content's arena.

    Speculation: Based on the trailer, it seems the game could be a prologue to Dark Souls instead of a direct sequel. This is mainly based on the fact that dragons seem to still be flying about, and as Dark Souls players know, the Dragons were wiped out by the Gods prior to Dark Souls' events. However, it could be that the dragon is instead a Drake or Wyvern, which did exist in Dark Souls. We'll have to wait and see.

I can't wait nothing does it for me like Demon's Souls or Dark Souls even though my good wife has confiscated Dark Souls and says I'll never play it again. Dark Souls 2! Help me I'm going to explode.
