    Dead Island: Riptide First Gameplay Video Revealed

    Dead Island: Riptide, the open world first-person zombie game just had its first bit of gameplay revealed today by Techland. Dead Island: Riptide is the continuation of the story of Dead Island. The game once again follows the four survivors from the first game, who are Purn, Xian, Sam B, and Logan. The game also adds a fifth survivor who you will have the choice to play as in the game. Dead Island: Riptide is set on the island of Palanai, which is an island in the Banoi archipelago. Dead Island: Riptide is set to release for the PS3 on April 23, 2013 in North America and April 26, 2013 in Europe.


    Today Techland has released its first gameplay video for their new game Dead Island: Riptide, which is set to release on the PS3 this April. The gameplay video that was released today goes into full depth on something that is new to the game. The new thing that they are showing off in the gameplay video is a hub defense mission, which is new to Dead Island. The video goes into depth on what you have to do to complete this hub defense mission and shows off one of the survivors going out and scavenging for items to help with the hub defense mission. The first ever gameplay video can be seen down below.

    Dead Island can't wait!! I actually can't wait for the briefcase from the rigimortis edition wooo hooo!!!!! the video looked great looked like Dead Island hasn't changed much but what do sports games do haha he did mention franchise so I have they play to start developing another

    Pre-Alpha footage should mean that the graphical pieces aren't done and there are a lot of things missing. Hopefully the gap is covered between now and the release, I saw some very clunky melee and shooting in those few minutes.

    Lmao. I mean it was damn sure fun, but the glitches and the save corruptions shadow my memory. I moved my save out of cloud today and loaded it up. Guess what!? Everything's gone. All my blueprints, developers weapons, misc items for crafting. Not to mention, I would've lost entire save at one point if not for cloud and being in habit of moving saves up there periodically, but did lose about 20 hours of gameplay. Sickening honestly.

    The graphics looks ok I know techland is very capable when it comes to graphics I mean good for a multiplat...but the game looks just like the 1st one although that hub defense thing looks very cool...well I'll wait for a price drop.
