The Walking Dead episodic adventure game developer Telltale Games is hoping to launch the series' second season of content this fall, CEO Dan Connors told Eurogamer following the BAFTA award ceremony. "We're aiming for fall this year," Connors simply replied to Eurogamer's query about when the new season would arrive. Not much longer for fanst to wait, but they might find respite in writer Gary Whitta's suggestion that additional content would arrive sometime before the next season. Connors didn't clarify what that bridging content might be, only jokingly saying of Whitta that, "We threw him into the zombie pit."
Connors also stated he "would think" the next season of content would arrive on PS4, given its timing, but added, "we don't have enough information from them [Sony] to announce it or anything." He said the dev team at Telltale is bullish on Sony's new console, and is particularly fascinated by the system's social connectivity.
They are also trying to get the saves from Season One to work with Season Two on PS4. Saying; We're in close contact with Sony and they understand what is the secret recipe of The Walking Dead so expect that we'll be talking about it soon.
"I think there's a lot of room for us to grow there and take advantage of that and create new experiences with the stats and the shared experiences," Connors said. "There's a huge opportunity there."
