During a panel at SXSW, Borderlands 2 developer Gearbox has revealed a new vault hunter is coming to its RPG-fueled first-person shooter."Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped," a teaser for the DLC announced, revealing a silhouette of the new character decimating enemies. "Bandits beware, a new vault hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."Details for the second add-on character were scarce, much like the Pandora wasteland; however, the teaser (which you can view below) leads us to believe the new character is melee-focused.
Gearbox franchise director Matt Armstrong wouldn't reveal the exact release for the DLC during the panel but confirmed the upcoming content will be included as part of the Borderlands 2 season pass and added, "DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don't think you'll have to wait long until you see that character."

Does Borderlands 1 affect 2 in any way?

not really interested in any new characters iv lost interest after the stupid lot of "invincibles" as they have killed/sacrificed the dlc gameplay just to make these unbeatable bosses. Ill prob still try it as i have the season pass tho.

I would have the plat in BL2 long ago if it wasn't for the blasted Challenge Accseptet trophy.... It's kinda lame to make that trophy depended on a very rare spawn characketer as Jimmy Jenkings....

I was just about to give this a pass, until I realized that I actually have the Season Pass for BL2. Not that I've been using it much. Once I realized all those stupid "invincible" bosses are sidequests, and required (both in main game and DLC) for the "all sidequests" trophies, I've kind of lost interest in playing the game.
I'll download this character nonetheless, but BL2, on the whole, has become a lot less fun to play than the original. Just my opinion, of course.

Total Awards: 8So excited for this. I agree, I hate rare spawn-dependent trophies, but the Invincibles are not very Invincible and once you have one or two Legendary weapons you can solo them in your normal playthrough. That's what I did - got'em on the first or second try and didn't take more than 5 minutes at best.
The only reason why it has become less fun to play is because you have a level cap at 50. This DLC is supposedly going to increase it and I expect it will be released by end of March. Between Borderlands 2 and Skyrim, I feel these two games have been some of the two best money returns for the PS3.

I haven't even looked at BL2 in a while, since the first DLC. They need a level cap raise before its even worthwhile to me personally to go back into the game.

Don't see a lvl cap raise anytime soon. They have too many problems trying to do that.

Total Awards: 8Great find; if I had to choose between the game breaking and not breaking, then I'm fine with no level cap. I'm simply looking for a reason to play Borderlands 2 for more hours, but that sucks for those who are waiting for a level cap to experience the DLCs.
At least they're honest.
