Proteus Coming to PS3 & PlayStation Vita

Proteus is a adventure game that is made by indie developer's Ed Key and David Kanaga. Proteus is a game where players' explore a procedurally-generated island. Proteus has a huge emphasis on the music that is in the game. Players' have no goals or challenges other than the ones they make for themselves. Proteus first released on PC and Mac via Steam on January 30, 2013. The game is all about exploration, mystery, color and sound.

Today it has been revealed that hit indie game Proteus would be making its way to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The console version is going to be ported over by Curve Studios. Proteus on the PS3 and Vita will be cross-buy, so no matter what system you buy it for you will get the other copy free. More info on Proteus being on the PS3 and Vita will be coming over the next few months.

I wonder what the trophies would be like for a game like this?

Obviously this is so you can come up with your own adventures in recreating episodes of Lost with your imaginary friends. I hope Hurley is that phallic tree thing.

You have no fucking idea of the level of boredom this thing can produce.

I know retro is the in thing and all, but do we really need Atari 2600 tech without scores? Maybe they'll have a boredom meter for the console version!

The problem with how you guys are looking at it is that it isn't really a game. It's sort of a dynamic interactive sound-based/connected landscape, if that makes any sense (with retro atari-styled graphics). It's meant more for relaxation and casual enjoyment more than anything. It's not really a game in the traditional sense.

There's something called the " real world" and its been around for quite some time now, and it was pretty innovative for its time.

I think I remember a review on this awhile back, it looks.. better in motion and so on but still not my kind of thing not really what I would call a game more of an interactive experience.
