Capcom has released their first-quarter numbers and the company has posted declines in sales and profits. Sales came in at 9,575 million yen (£55m/$93m) which is a 45.1% decline from last year's first quarter. Similarly, profits, which were 765 million yen (£4.4m/$7.4m), fell by 7.5% compared to last year's first quarter.
Capcom cites the lack of major new titles during the period as the reason for the lackluster numbers. Right now, Dead Rising 3 is continuing to sell well for the company. Additionally, Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy for the 3DS was released in Japan in April and showed promise; the game is scheduled for a winter release in the west.
The company forecasts net sales of 80,000 million yen (£460m/$778m) and a profit of 6,600 million yen (£38m/$64m) for the full fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2015.
