This is the first game in the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection that you will come across. In Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, you play as a one-man army determined to stop a deadly high-tech weapon from falling into the hands of a highly elite resistance group known as Dead Cell. You must utilize your skills in stealth, weaponry, and counter-terrorism to fight off the competing powers. Going through the storyline, you will eventually meet the gigantic war machine, Metal Gear Ray. Do you have what it takes to defeat Dead Cell and save the world?

I guess you guys never played "MGS2 Substance" before... Snake MGS1 VR Missions are REALLY tough. Not to mention [Euro]-Extreme Mode

This is gonna be hard, REALLY hard. Kudos to anyone who will plat it !


Inb4 : "U suck @ MGS2" >> I did MGS2 : SoL & MGS2 : S on PS2 & PC, and I had really hard times finishing the MGS1 Snake VR Missions. [Those who beat the final 'Gurlukon' Stage and managed to achieve the 5th 'Grenade' stage really deserve a place amongst the Gods.]

The first one is very funny :lol: The second one, I don't understand it. Spoilers. Maybe in the theater scene, you must change the character to Rose and Raiden in the final scene. There's actually a video of this on youtube.

Never played the VR missions before but judging by the comments here I'm not looking forward to it. Dog tags are gonna be a bitch as well. Plat might be unreachable but I'm still damn sure gonna try

Easy way to see if you're gonna hang yourself with the help of you wireless controller or not [pun intended] : Check the vids from BrazilianJoker, AmaebiUniO, Anonymityhope, AdnanKauser and AdamSpencer87 on YouTube. Even with these, you're gonna have a real hard time trying to beat all the missions [if you want to try the Top Score everywhere, feel free to do so, but it will take weeks -no joke !]

For me, the hardest [not by far, though] VR Mission is the #5 Grenade w/ Snake MGS1. Hand Grenades + Invisible moving Crates = Hours [if not days] of endless retries... Just to have it done. AmaebiUniO's vid is perfect, watch it, try by yourself, cry all the tears of your soul, watch the vid again, try again and you'll eventually kill yourself...

Oh, and I forget to mention 'Bomb Disposal' Mode, which is really tricky as well ; and 'Eliminate All' mode with its invisible soldiers... No, definitely, this game brings back painful memories... But it was soooooo good I'm still gonna try to plat it, even if I must die trying -or my controller, likely.

always wanted trophies for metal gear to bad this collection isn't including Metal Gear Solid i would have loved playing Shadow Moses all over again in HD

I guess 3 bronze for the wigs + Camo against 1 gold for every DT... You're gonna need at least 5 playthroughs, just like in the old days.

I guess they didn't put the "Blue Wig" trophy since if I remember correctly, you have to collect all dogtags just to unlock the "Blue Wig".

No difficult trophies, but you need to beat the game in all the difficulties in order to get all the dog tags..
