Capcom announced today that they are making a game based on the kids favourite sour candy brand in the U.S, Sour Patch Kids. The game will be called 'World Gone Sour' and will put players in the sugary covered exteriors of a lost piece of candy and have it platform across movie theaters, concession stands, and other enemy-filled locales to reach the ultimate goal, which apparently is a guys stomach...
Capcom are taking this quite seriously and have signed hip-hop artist Method Man and The Office co-star Creed Bratton to lend their talents to an upcoming downloadable game, which will be released in Spring 2012 for $4.99 on PSN.
Here's Method Man's new track for the game
Sebastian Genesio, Sour Patch's Marketing Director had this to say;
So, you looking forward to this?“Sour Patch is the #1 all sour candy brand in the U.S. but there is so much more to these iconic characters than just their sour exteriors and sweet interiors. Bringing our ‘lost kids’ to life in video game form will add a new dimension to these lovable snacks. We feel this video game will resonate strongly with our core audience of teens and young adults.”
