    Final Fantasy XIII-2 Trophy List

Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set several years after the previous title and follows the story of a mysterious boy named Noel and the returning character, Serah, as they try to find her missing sister. The developers have made various changes to the battle system and added many new features, but Square Enix says that this title "exceeds Final Fantasy XIII in every aspect". The game is due for release in North America on the 31st January, 2011 and February 3rd, in Europe.

Thanks Jacob, but why are the trophies so vague. "defeat a powerful enemy on equal terms" What does SE think is powerful and what are equal terms?

"Defeat an army's worth of enemies"?

Kinda vague, yes, but I bet it's not gonna be that hard.

For example, a "great number of enemies" is most likely 100 or 1000, I bet staggering 1000 enemies -which isn't much if you wanna do everything I'm guessing- or defeating 1000, stuff like that.

Of course there will be mindless grinding! This is an RPG, a Final Fantasy! You're going to have to grind to beat "an army's worth of monsters", or to be strong enough to fairly defeat all the powerful enemies that might qualify as "defeat a powerful enemy on its own terms", or whatnot. Or would that qualify as "mindful" grinding?

Mindless grinding and RPGs just go together, like peanut butter and jelly.

For the first time we can agree on something
since when did a Final Fantasy game didn't have grinding anyway.

hopefully wont be as time consuming as xiii trophies, that game was way too boring for me to continue to play another 50 hours for a couple trophies

The grinding doesn't seem luck based as grinding away for the trapezohedrons in FFXIII was luck based with a very low % of dropping but maybe this could be more grinding for a longer period of time. We'll find out when that time comes.
