    good place to farm ammo?

i find myself and sheva running out of ammo quite frequently, i dont like the laser sights because it throws off my aim which isnt very good to begin with and sheva uses way too many shots to bring down even the simplest of foes, im wondering if playing the first stage with just the stun rod and knife would be a good way to get some ammo to stockpile it since you cant buy ammo from the store for some reason that makes no sense to me, anybody got any good spots to load up with ammo quickly and easily?

I found 1-1 and 3-1 good places for ammo. Another tip would be to make sure you and Sheva are using different weapon types so she will not use the ammo you need and you wont use what she needs also headshots then run up and melee can save ammo over time.

Sheva doesn't use ammo, she has her own unlimited amount.

Thanks to djunglist for the sig and avy and Thunder for the platbar

yeah i just realized its more effective to stun them with a shot or two and then smack them with some melee action so that saves ammo, gave her a magnum and rifle so she generally headshots them now instead of shooting them in the chest 10 times with the handgun, but magnum and rifle ammo are way more rare than handgun ammo, and i rock the handgun for picking off enemies and shotgun for close encounters, it would help if the aiming mechanic was better suited to a third person shooter like dead space instead of the mess that it is

I'm not quite sure when it comes to ammo as it has been a long time since I needed any (I have heaps in storage I could join your game & hook you up) but I know for a fact that 4-1 is your absolute best stage for finding treasures to sell to upgrade your guns so you can get infinite ammo.

You don't have to give her any ammo

This right here. I farmed quite a few of the earlier levels for money so I could upgrade my weapons to where I didn't so many bullets. Preferably the first (?.?) Oil Refinery section, with the two Chainsaw Majini. There is a ton of money to be had in that level.

You could take away her handgun and just leave her with the Rifle. Or take all her weapons and force her to be melee. But I would like to know if you've been upgrading your weapons or not. The ammo boxes do have a limit to how much you can put in them, making you potentially forfeit the chance to grab a Rocket Launcher or other new weapon, so be wary with how much you carry as the game usually does provide enough given the fact your weapons are upgraded.

yeah well i suck at shooters and the aiming mechanics of this game make it very difficult for me since i cant really see where my laser sight is pointing so its tough to pull off headshots or even be moderately accurate

i have been upgrading all my weapons fairly equally and always try to have open spaces in my inventory for healing items and new weapons and right now sheva just has a rifle and magnum, neither of which has much ammo but is powerful enough to make every shot count
