I'm having control problems at Chris campaign, what could it be?

Hello,

You will see, I'm playing this game at Chris campaign and I arrived at the part where you have to drive the vehicle for chasing Ada Wong. After a lot of tries I figured out that I was not going anywhere because although I was doing what the game asked, my car would not reach hers because of its speed.

Then I thought in doing that with my other control because I was going crazy, and what do you think? It worked. The difference was notorious (the speed was higher than before) and finally I could finish the chapter.

But although I have arrived to Chapter 4 I have the doubt of what is happening and if I'm the only one with that problem, that because I read in some forums other people found this part problematic too and because after all my control is not damaged and It works perfect with other games (in fact, while playing that specific part, it made the car to run but it didn't matter how much pressure or times I insisted it didn't increased the speed to it max level).

I would thank you if you give me some ideas and lights about the topic.

I didn't have this problem when I did my first play through but when I played with my friend and he was driving he couldn't catch her either so every time the game would start over she would be closer and at the 3rd time she wouldn't leave his sight

You have to press x to accelerate if your Chris and piers must shoot hummers
You can accelerate best when your in a straight street not when turning hard
And acceleration takes some time to build up again so use it wisely

Yeah, you can add me on the list. Both playing as Chris or Piers I have a tough time getting through that chapter. And yes, I do use the boost whenever I can, and yes I do keep the accelerate button pressed constantly. I just can't keep up, and have to replay this section several times before I get through it. To make matters worse, when I do make it, I am not doing anything differently. (I'd swear that the last time I did it, I bumped into all kinds of things and still kept up with Ada.)

Where is this other forum where you read about people having trouble with this section?
