[top]Tips & Strategies

  • Airbrakes - Are sometimes crucial, but depending on your vehicle's handling you can crash into walls with ease.
  • Side-Shift - Side-shifting allows you to shift either left or right without slowing you down a little like the airbrakes do. Use the side-shift to quickly go down paths that pass you quickly, or to dodge enemy fire.
  • Absorb - Absorbing weapons in singleplayer will give you health, more health comes from defensive weapons or powerful weapons such as Plasma. Use this feature to quickly gain health in Combat or other events.
  • Barrel Roll - By wiggling left and right while in the air to gain a helpful boost.
  • Perfect Laps - In Zone, getting a Perfect Lap means full health for you! Complete a lap without smashing into a wall and have your health refilled! Your health actually fills up periodically after a set amount of time without crashing into walls, and this is extremely helpful in Zone.
  • Right Tool For The Job - Choose the right vehicle for each event. Fighter vehicles are better suited for Combat events, Speed vehicles are suited for Races and Time Trials.
  • Skill Cuts - I refer to these as Alternate Routes (because that is basically what they are). Use these to earn an advantage against the rest of the vehicles or cut seconds off of your time. You will see red arrows that will point to two ways, and it is up to you to decide which to take.
  • Offensive Weapons Pads - Use these to blow your opponents to bits. Use weapons with
  • Defensive Weapon Pads - These are primarily to help you, these consist of turbo boosts, autopilot, mines and more.
  • Speed Pads - Blue pads found on tracks are called Speed Pads. These give you a slight but extremely helpful boost.

[top]Roadmap

Step 1: Finish Singleplayer Campaign

For this step, you're going to focus on finishing every event in the singleplayer campaign. Also try to get Elite Passes (or golds) on the events when you can, but that isn't your biggest priority. Also pay attention to your rank, and try to do all or most of the Prototype Challenges for the next step. This step will unlock the following:
  • 2048 Champion, 2049 Champion, 2050 Champion
  • Completist
  • 2048 Speed Pads

Step 2: Finish Multiplayer Campaign

Once you're finished with the singleplayer campaign, it's time to dive into the multiplayer campaign. This is where most of the game takes place, oddly enough. With over 200 events to finish, this is also one of the longer steps. Just by playing and finishing the campaign you should be able to unlock each of the multiplayer trophies. So this step isn't all that hard, just time-consuming. You'll also want to work on getting to level 50 here, and once you finish you should be close. You'll definitely hit 25 at least. Once this step is finish, you'll unlock:
  • Multiplayer Begins, 1 Down, 19 To Go, 50 MP Events, Halfway There, Multiplayer Finished
  • Multiplayer Completist
  • 50 Kills
  • Rank 25

Step 3: Elite Pass Each Event And Challenge

The reason I left this step until after you finish both campaigns is so, if you're having trouble with Elite Passes, you can have most, if not all of the vehicles unlocked when you try to do them. This step can be completed before you finish the multiplayer campaign though (it's what I did, with some difficulty). In this step, you'll want to clean-up any event that doesn't have an Elite Pass, including the Prototype Challenges. Also in this step, try to Elite Pass an A+ Class challenge. This should leave you hanging with each of the trophies unlocked!

Completist
Complete all events in the Single Player Campaign

This is a pretty straight-forward trophy. You must complete each event in each season. For tips on each event, see Elite Completist. In the 2048 Season, there are 15 events. In the 2049 Season, there are 20 events. In the 2050 Season, there are 25 events. Once these are all completed the trophy will unlock.

[top]
Elite Completist
ELITE PASS every event in the Single Player Campaign

To earn a gold (or "Elite Pass") you need to meet the certain requirements. These are just exaggerated versions of the normal "Pass". If you can't earn the Elite Pass the first time around, you can wait until you rank up and earn new vehicles that may assist you greater. There are three different seasons, 2048, 2049 and 2050. You will need an Elite Pass in every single event in these seasons. The seasons consist of these events:
  • Race - Race events are classic Wipeout. Out-speed, out-gun and out-smart your opponents to cross the finish line first.
  • Time Trial - Time Trials are all about completion time. Finish is under the allotted time to succeed.
  • Zone - Zone Events will test your skills to the limit. Don't worry about accelerating. Just steer and survive for as long as you can. Remember, some ships' special features are disabled in Zone Mode.
  • Combat - Don't race! Damage and destroy your opponents to score points. Tap the right stick up to spin on the spot. Being destroyed will cost you points. You can Absorb in Single Player Combat Events, but not Multiplayer.

2048 Elite 1
Get an ELITE PASS on the C Class Time Trial on Capital Reach in 2048

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

This one is fairly simple. Right at the start, keep right and try to hit all of the speed pads. From here, just continue in whatever way you choose and try to get the speed pads along the way. When you get to around the halfway point of the level you will see bundles of speed pads around corners. Use your airbrakes to hit all of these pads and get a major boost. This trophy will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2048 Elite 2
Get an ELITE PASS on Empire Climb Zone Mode in 2048

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

This is blissfully simple. All you have to do is survive until you see the Zone at the top reach 30. Your health refills if you get Perfect Laps as well. Just try not to crash into the walls. This will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2048 Elite 3
Get an ELITE PASS on the C Class Combat Event on Metro Park in 2048

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

Pick up some weapons and blow stuff up. Quake and Plasma are some of the best weapons, and if you are low on health, Leech Beam from the defensive weapons can prove to be helpful, or using to absorb the weapon. There isn't much else to Combat events, just blow stuff up...nuff said. This will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2049 Elite 1
Get an ELITE PASS on the B Class Race on Unity Square in 2049

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

This is an odd one. You need to finish a race using only fighter vehicles, and rockets. Getting rockets is crucial, they can easily slow down the opponents and even destroy them. Alternate routes are a good choice, especially near the end of a lap there will be a ramp to the left, with a speed pad at the start. Go up here, hit all of the speed pads and do a barrel roll to really get a lead. This will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2049 Elite 2
Get an ELITE PASS on the A Class Time Trial on Metro Park in 2049

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

Another tough Time Trial. For this, I found that hitting almost each speed pad did the trick. So at the beginning hang left (do not go down the alternate route) and then hit the next speed pad on the right. Then, keep in the middle of the path and hit another one, and go right (do not airbrake, you can cleanly turn here and hit all of the speed pads if you are a legend, airbraking could run the risk of smashing into the wall) and take the left path, right to the right side so you can hit the speed pads. From there, barrel roll off the large drop, and keep going left. Finish the lap and repeat. Aim for 40 seconds on each lap. This will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2049 Elite 3
Get an ELITE PASS on Downtown Zone Mode in 2049

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

You should be getting pretty used to how Zone works. When you get to A Class, tight turns are crucial, so be ready for them. Again, avoid walls as best you can so your health doesn't diminish. Complete a lap without losing any health to have your health filled (you will see Perfect Lap once you complete one). This will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2050 Elite 1
Get an ELITE PASS on Queens Mall Zone Mode in 2050

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

Take the left path at the start, and then keep to the right, then left and keep off of the path with the speed pads. Take the turns and take either path, the left is easier to maneuver but if you crash into a wall you'll lose more health than the twisty turns the right path offers. On each turn in this event, I found that tapping just before each turn made the turn feel smooth (and I felt like a badass ). Just follow that path though and you should be fine. Mach 1 speed seems intimidating but I found the turns to be easy with the airbrakes . This trophy will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2050 Elite 2
Get an ELITE PASS on the A Class Race on Empire Climb in 2050

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

The other vehicles will get a lead at the start, but if you drive without smashing into walls and pick up a Turbo or two, you will be able to catch up. If you keep driving normally you'll be able to pass each of them, surprisingly. This is one of the easier events, I found. This trophy will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

[top]
2050 Elite 3
Get an ELITE PASS on the A Class Race on Sol in 2050

Trophy related events are the larger shapes, and, for the most part, are on branching paths of the main one.

Pick up the missile and just get behind the vehicle and wait for the missile to lock on to it. This takes approximately five missiles to kill him. Just keep repeating the process of picking up a missile and letting him go in front of you. This trophy will unlock as you work your way towards Elite Completist.

Prototype
ELITE PASS all Prototype Ship Challenges

You will find Prototype challenges around the campaign map, but they are hiding, kind of. Look for random triangles that are pulsating, and tap it to find a Prototype challenge. Finishing these challenges unlocks a new vehicle in each class, the Prototype vehicle. This means there are 6 challenges, each are unlocked at certain ranks.

Speed Thrills
ELITE PASS any A+ Class Challenge

Don't be alarmed, you only have to Elite Pass one of the A+ Class challenges. You'll want to choose whatever map you feel comfortable with (since you actually have a choice). Choose your most comfortable vehicle as well, and make sure they're fast. Feisar Speed or Feisar Prototype may be your best bets. Sol may be the easiest map, since you get a lot of air, many opportunities for barrel rolls which can gain you the lead. Aim for defensive weapons, mainly Autopilot and Turbo. You'll need to finish first in these events to actually earn an Elite Pass. Disregard offensive weapons and use them for health (absorb them ) because the other vehicles can be vicious.

[top]
Multiplayer Begins
Finish an Online Multiplayer event

To start Multiplayer, go to the menu (found in the bottom right corner of the Singleplayer hub) and select Online Campaign. From there, just tap on the first event, or Node. Play it to the end to unlock this trophy.

[top]
1 Down, 19 To Go
Complete your first Online Multiplayer Level

There is a total of 6 nodes/events in the first level of the Online Campaign. Since these are random, I cannot give tips. Just finish the 6 nodes/events to be finished with level 1, and onto level 2 you will go. This trophy will unlock as you work your way towards Multiplayer Finished and Multiplayer Completist.

[top]
50 MP Events
Finish 50 Online Multiplayer events

You will get this trophy while trying to complete each event in the multiplayer campaign. Simply finish 50 of them and this trophy is yours. This should unlock before you finish level seven.

[top]
Halfway There
Complete 10 Online Multiplayer Levels

To complete a level, you'll need to finish all nodes/events within the level. Completing level 10 will require you to complete 80 events. Nothing too hard here, just takes a while to get there.

[top]
Multiplayer Finished
Finish the Online Multiplayer Campaign

There are 20 levels in the multiplayer campaign. Simply complete them all to earn this. For more info, see Multiplayer Completist.

[top]
Multiplayer Completist
Complete all nodes in the Online Muliplayer Campaign

This is probably the longest trophy in the game. To unlock it, you'll need to complete all 210 nodes in the multiplayer campaign. You can get either Passes or Elite Passes, which usually consist of hitting a specific player with a weapon, not finishing last, finishing the event, etc. These are all random, so I can't necessarily give tips on them. It's much easier to earn a pass or elite pass in the multiplayer campaign than the singleplayer, there's just far more events to do. Here's a breakdown of nodes in each level:
  • Level 1: 6 nodes
  • Level 2: 6 nodes
  • Level 3: 7 nodes
  • Level 4: 7 nodes
  • Level 5: 8 nodes
  • Level 6: 8 nodes
  • Level 7: 9 nodes
  • Level 8: 9 nodes
  • Level 9: 10 nodes
  • Level 10: 10 nodes
  • Level 11: 11 nodes
  • Level 12: 11 nodes
  • Level 13: 12 nodes
  • Level 14: 12 nodes
  • Level 15: 13 nodes
  • Level 16: 13 nodes
  • Level 17: 14 nodes
  • Level 18: 14 nodes
  • Level 19: 15 nodes
  • Level 20: 15 nodes

[top]
50 Kills
Destroy 50 ships in Online Multiplayer

There are only two types of events in multiplayer. Race and Combat. Combat is what you'll usually be playing, so this trophy is easily obtainable before you complete the campaign. Pick up weapons and keep wailing on opponents with them. Plasma and Quake are two of the best weapons to use.

[top]
Rank 25
Reach Rank 25

See Rank 50. You will reach Rank 25 once you get a total of 137,000 experience points. This should come naturally if you're just playing the singleplayer campaign, if not you'll be close to it once you finish the campaign.

[top]
Rank 50
Reach Rank 50

To advance your rank, you need to earn experience points. Your experience points for the current event are displayed in the top right-hand corner. To view your total number of experience points, tap the home icon, and go to your profile. Experience points can be earned in a number of ways:
  • Combat (1-5 XP) - This is for using a weapon on an opponent.
  • Speed (30 XP) - Push the acceleration button at the beginning of an event when you see the word "Go".
  • Agility (10-30 XP) - Probably what you'll get most, this is for hitting speed pads and going a certain amount of time without hitting any walls or taking damage in general.
  • Pass (10,000 XP) - You will get this when you earn a regular pass on any event.
  • Elite Pass (10,000 XP) - This stacks with your regular pass. You will technically get 20,000 XP when you get an Elite Pass, but a single Elite Pass is 10,000. You will get this on any event when you earn an Elite Pass.

[top]
Beat Zico
Altima, C Class, Speed Lap, Pir-hana Speed - beat 52.00 seconds

One of the harder trophies in the game. This isn't as Wipeout HD's "Beat Zico" but hard nonetheless. You're first step is finishing the singleplayer campaign, this is so you can unlock the map Altima in the speed lap section of the singleplayer campaign and also so you unlock Pir-Hana Speed. Once that's finish, go to the left of the hub to find all of the speed lap tracks and classes. Choose Class C, and the last track on the bottom right. Now you'll need to perfect your technique.

At the start, you'll need to take the path to the left and hit the speed pad. Barrel roll off this ramp and hit the next few speed pads. It's crucial that you don't miss a single speed pad, or you will be down by a few milliseconds at the end. When you get to the large drop, do another barrel roll and hit another speed pad. Go up and hit the speed pad, then you'll need to barrel roll in the short time you're in the air. It's tricky, but it's a must do. Go up the ramp and do another barrel roll, and you are done with the mandatory barrel rolls. Now just focus on the speed pads. Take the tight turns here and angle into the speed pads in the next section so you hit all of them, it's tough. Continue along, and once you get to the tunnel take the right path. Hit the speed pad at the end, and airbrake into the next three. If you've done all of this perfectly you should be under 52 seconds.

Keep in mind this trophy does take a lot of time and practice, and practice makes perfect. The trickiest things were hitting the third barrel roll without touching the ground, since it's a small amount of time that you're actually in the air, and hitting all or most of the speed pads.

[top]
Mach 1.5
Reach Zone 65 in any Zone Event

While this might seem tough, it really isn't. The best event to try this on is the Zone on Sol, in the 2050 Season. The reason for this is that there are no walls on Sol. Instead, the most common way for you to lose health is to fall off the track. Falling off the track is a lot harder to do than grinding walls. Take the least complex route, so at the start keep right, and after that keep left and lastly right. It's also very easy to gain back your health in Sol. You can do this by not taking damage for a certain period of time (15 seconds or so). As for vehicles, I chose Feisar Speed, a very trusty vehicle with good handling and speed.

[top]
The Unlucky 7
Destroy 7 opposition ships in any Race in the Single Player Campaign

A deceptively easy trophy. First, get to Rank 30 and complete the Qirex Prototype challenge. The reason for this is because the Qirex Prototype has an unlimited cannon, and I hope you can see how useful this is. Next, select the first event, the race. This has to be done in a race, so it's best to do this on a race that doesn't have weapon pads. This is so the opponents can't kill each other and also can't heal themselves. Start the event, and be sure to be the last guy on the track. Then just wait for some bullets to come your way, and hold and unload on the vehicle in front of you. It's best to work on one vehicle at a time, at least I found. Also, when you go around bends, don't shoot. Chances are you're going to miss, so when you are in a turn, just let more bullets spawn and shoot when you have a straight shot. Once you've killed each opponent before finishing the race this trophy will pop.

[top]
2048 Speed Pads
Hit a total of 2048 Speed Pads

Not too difficult, you should definitely get this while going for golds in each event. In case you don't know, speed pads are the blue arrow things on the track that give you a boost. You should be looking out for and hitting these regularly. To make it even easier, if you tape the "house" icon in the top left corner of the event map, you will come to a screen. Go to Home Profile, and tap the right arrow to come to another screen. You should see a stats page, tap the Speed Pads icon at the bottom to check your progress.

[top]
Perfect Pir-hana
Get a Perfect Lap in the Pir-hana Prototype, in the A Class, Unity Square, Speed Lap

The first thing you'll have to do is get to Rank 50 and complete the prototype challenge to unlock the Pir-Hana Prototype. Once this is done, you'll need to start up the Unity Square A-Class speed lap. Airbrakes and Sideshifts are helpful here, as they can quickly get you away from walls and safe from harm. You'll need to finish one lap without taking any damage, so if you grind a wall for a split-second, you will not earn this trophy. Try to take it slow when you can. This may take a while, but once you get used to the map you'll be sure to get it.
