[top]Tips & Strategies

A few hints to help you along your way:
--Try not to get to frustrated when you can not find an animal. Certain animals only appear after certain missions have been completed. If you can not find a certain animal, don't stress, just move on to the next mission and go back to the other when you

--Make sure you always save because although there is an auto save feature, it does not always save when you want it to and when you are ready to quit. Save after so many missions have been completed and before you quit and exit the game.

--The very first email is the most important one. You have to make sure that every picture you take is submitted into this email as well as the email for the mission. By submitting the pictures into the first email, it will put them into the encyclopedia in which you need to fill for the the platinum. For some of the animals you need to take the pictures of the females, males and babies, so be sure to check the encyclopedia to see which email needs what, or simply scroll down a bit for a list.

--Most animals intertwine with missions, but there are some that are not. To be safe, just every new animal you see, snap a shot and add it to the email (encyclopedia). Make sure if the animal has different genders and ages you take those pictures as well. Such as baby, child, adult, male and female. If you are unsure if you have taken the picture or not, take it again, when you submit it, you will either get a score if its new and if not, you will receive nothing from it.

[top]Roadmap

Introduction: Welcome to the wonderful world of Afrika, where you cruise around in your jeep and snap pictures of the wild in its natural habitat. Record the sounds the wild makes as well. Some of the pictures you take will end up in magazines so you want to make sure you take the best picture you can. You receive some of the best Sony (how ironic) equipment to help you with your missions. The game is fairly easy but long, and takes a lot of patience. So sit down and strap in, this going to be a bumpy ride.

Step 1: Play the game of course. There are about 120 little missions, photo assignments. You will receive each mission via email and some of them in order to complete you must click OK. Read each email carefully and try not to over whelm yourself. Try to take on one or two missions at a time. More missions appear when you submit a picture or complete a previous mission. There is a few main missions that need to be completed for certain trophies, but in order to get the platinum you must complete all the missions. Try to do the main missions first, you can always go back and do the secondary missions. There are also 20 items that you must find for one of the trophies, all but one can be found through out the missions. The one that is out of a mission is the bottle, refer to Find Bottle Trophy for details. You also want to try to fill the Animal Encyclopedia by taking pictures of all animals, different genders, and babies and send them in to the very first email you get.

Step 2: After you beat the game, go back and do a little clean up. Don't worry about trying to get it all the items although most are part of missions, or filling the encyclopedia in just one play through, you can go back afterward and get what you missed.

Hippopotamus Yawn
Complete Mission "The ultimate big mouth....You know who!"

Mission 003
This can take some time. You will need to go over to the Hippopotamus pool in front of your camping ground and wait. It may take some time for one of the hippos to actually yawn. Be careful not to be seen by one of them cause they will charge. Try crouching down behind the bushes with a good camera view. Once the hippo is relaxed one will yawn. Be quick though, cause they yawn fast and it will be a bit before they do it again.

*Note* Each picture gets "graded" and depending on how the picture looks depends on how much money you get or if it will even count. Try not to use zoom to much because distance is a good factor in scoring. Also, make sure the angle is good too, to far to one side or the other doesn't help your score at all. Try to be close and just about dead center with the pictures.
