[top]Roadmap

Step 1: DO THE TUTORIAL
At first glance the game's mechanics and system is a little confusing to understand. Once you do all 5 parts of the tutorial then you will understand the basics and even see how to develop different methods for beating each challenger.

STEP 2: EARLY DEVELOPMENT
When picking what element Leonidas should be, remember this little fact: you will be fighting against Bakugan who have the Darkus element at the end of the game. I prefer the water or Aquos element as many of the Bakugan you will face in the tournaments do not counter the element. DO NOT PICK HAOS. The final boss' location negates the Haos light element and will severely hinder your efforts to finish the game. I suggest you listen to Alice's advice at the store on buying Bakugan for each tournament. As for upgrading I only upgraded the strength of the Bakugan (the last choice BP) as it seemed the most important. Play through the first two tournaments and when you unlock how to play Battle Royale matches STOP. You should now go to the Park and farm your 20 tag team and 20 Battle Royale matches while the challengers are still in the "Easy" category. If not then you will face them in the "Normal" to "Hard" range. While in the Park doing some early grinding focus on the Bulletin Board early to unlock Bakugan and cards that become available when the "???" condition is satisfied.

STEP 3: LATTER DEVELOPMENT
Now that you have a good sense on what is going on finish the rest of the tournaments and stop when you get to the Ultimate Battle Tournament. Take some time and upgrade the Bakugan you feel comfortable with to MAX. Once you defeat the last challenger in the UBT and are teleported to the final boss hit and select "Return". You will now return to the town with the 250,000BP you won from the UBT Tournament. Now go back to the Tournament where you will face the same final challenger again. Beat him and "return" from the final boss. You will farm 250,000BP each time you do this, thus eliminating hours upon hours of grinding. At this point buy all the Bakugan that are available along with the cards and now defeat the final boss. Once done return to the Park and finish the Bulletin Board jobs and buy everything else from the store.

Step 4: BATTLE ARENA
These trophies were made just to annoy the player. The trophy only counts the character that is selected as Player 1, so no there is no way to cheat the system. Also, along the way concentrate on battling in each area.

[top]Trophies

[top]
Bakugan Emperor
Get every trophy in the game

Difficulty: ***
Once all trophies have been obtained the platinum trophy will unlock.

[top]
Rookie
Finish the tutorial in Story Mode

Difficulty: *
If you followed the roadmap then the trophy will pop up once you skip the tutorial. If you dove right on in then perform the full tutorial and the trophy will appear once the tutorial has concluded.

[top]
Beginner
Win the Neo Challengers Tournament

Difficulty: *
The first tournament of the game and it is simple. Focus on winning each Gate Card so you can be well on your way to earning Battle Professional. You will face-off against Shuji, Runo, and Marucho. All three are easy.

[top]
Intermediate
Win the Supreme Tag Team Tournament

Difficulty: *
You are now introduced to the battle method of "tag team". If you notice one of your partner's Bakugan alone on a Gate Card you can Double Stand with them as well. The tournament is simple and does not provide any real challenge. The battlefield is the Aquos field so it will benefit Aquos Bakugan and will harm Pyrus Bakugan.

[top]
Advanced
Win the Brave Battlers Tournament

Difficulty: *
A Battle Royale match is where four players will go against each other in a free-for-all beat down. Focus on earning one Gate Card at a time and use your Ability Cards late in the match. I say this because if you have 1 or 2 earned Gate Cards then your next battle will have all 3 challengers attempting to stop you from earning the third Gate Card. The battlefield will benefit the Subterra Bakugan and harm the Ventus ones.

[top]
Bakugan Pro
Win the Maximum Power Tournament

Difficulty: *
Now the challengers will start to be set at the Normal difficulty. It is your basic 1vs1 tournament. Be aware you will face off against Masquerade, and he is your first real challenge in the game. If you have followed the Road Map then he will be a cinch; also invest in performing a couple Double Stands.

[top]
Bakugan Master
Win the Bakugan Master Cup Tournament

Difficulty: **
The Pyrus Bakugan will have a benefit during the tournament. Avoid the lava on the ground because it will harm you. It is beneficial to use the lava geysers because you can reach new areas for more G-Power points.

[top]
Bakugan King
Win the Ultimate Battle Tournament

Difficulty: ***
The first part of the tournament will have everyone as Normal to Hard playing on a battlefield which benefits Haos Bakugan. Once you have defeated Marduk the first time you will be sent to the Doom Dimension to face the final match. Hit and return to the town with your 250,000BP and repeat this process 4 times so your farming time is greatly reduced. For the final battle you will only have the Omega Leonidas Bakugan. Use the following cards to win the final match:

Gold: Obviously use the Omega Leonidas Gate Card
Silver: Find a Gate Card the benefits your elements vs. a Darkus element
Copper: Power Drain
Red: Use the Omega Leonidas card
Green: Any
Blue: Turn of Fortune

Throw your Gold Card first and after you are done collecting some G-Power, land on the Leonidas Gate Card. After you win the first Gate Card, Marduk will likely throw his Ax Vladitor card so prepare to lose one. Your second choice should be the Silver Gate Card. Marduk will throw his Silver type. Now for the win throw your Copper Card and do not land on it first. Let Marduk throw Ax Vladitor on the card first and then throw Omega Leonidas onto the card. Ax Vladitor will now start the battle with half of his original.

[top]
Challenger
Make it into the top 500 in the Bakugan World Rankings

Difficulty: *
After each match in either the Tournaments or in the Park you will earn RP or Ranking Points. These points lead to your Bakugan World Rankings. If you beat each Tournament and then spend some time doing the challenges you will earn rank 499 after the second Tournament.

[top]
Contender
Make it into the top 100 in the Bakugan World Rankings

Difficulty: *
Just keep fighting in the Park and Tournaments to earn rank 99 and the trophy. Rank 100 will likely come just before the Ultimate Tournament.

[top]
Elite
Make it into the top 10 in the Bakugan World Rankings

Difficulty: *
Same as above, just keep progressing through the game.

[top]
Best of the Best
Make it into the number 1 spot in the Bakugan World Rankings

Difficulty: *
If you followed the Road Map and kept farming early then you will likely earn the top Rank right before the final battle with Marduk or immediately afterward.

[top]
Wealthy
Earn 10,000 or more total Ranking Points in Story Mode

Difficulty: *
10,000 Ranking Points is a cinch to earn and does not need to be earned in one sitting; it is cumulative.

[top]
Extremely Wealthy
Earn 50,000 or more total Ranking Points in Story Mode

Difficulty: *
Same as above. 50,000 Ranking Points will come through natural progression and will likely come up during the Battle Royale Tournament.

[top]
Customer
Shop at the Store

Difficulty: *
Enter the Store after the tutorial and when you have earned some BP from the Park Battles buy one Bakugan, Card or Upgrade.

[top]
Patron
Spend at least 30,000 Bakugan Points at the Store

Difficulty: *
At the end of each battle you will earn BP which is based on the match difficulty, how many and what type of Bakugan you defeated (if at all), and the challenger. Spend 30,000 BP total at the Store, which does not have to be in one sitting.

[top]
Miracle Shot
Collect ten or more G-Power Pick-Ups in one shot

Difficulty: *
The G-Power Pick-Ups are the floating items with a red "G" in the middle. After throwing your Bakugan, steer him in the direction of the points throughout the level. You will also likely need to get a couple of Fuel Canisters to keep the Bakugan moving.

[top]
Ultra Shot
Collect three or more Hyper Ability Cards in one shot

Difficulty: **
The Hyper Ability Cards are the card-shaped items found on the battlefield. You need to collect 3 of them with one Bakugan throw, so it can be difficult. I found it best to do it on the Haos, Darkus, or Subterra battlefields.

[top]
Great Shot
Collect three or more Battle Items in one shot

Difficulty: ***
Battle Items are inside the floating barriers that are difficult to reach. The best method is to either aim for 1 or 2 and then focus on finding a leap pad for the third. The easiest battlefield to do this on is either Ventus or Haos.

[top]
Amazing Shot
Collect three or more Fuel Pick-Ups in one shot

Difficulty: *
Fuel packs are the green canister devices that allow your Bakugan more movement allowance. Hitting three of them is not a hard task.

[top]
Smashing Shot
Break an obstacle on the battlefield

Difficulty: *
An obstacle is a diamond-shaped floating device found on the battle area. The easiest method is to manually aim at one when they are available, which is after the first tournament.

[top]
The Whole Gang's Here
Unlock all characters in the Park

Difficulty: ***
This trophy unlocks after the final battle with Marduk and you head to the Park.

[top]
Where Will I Put Them All?
Collect every Bakugan in the game

Difficulty: ***
You can not collect every Bakugan until after the game, so focus on a few early in the game and spend your BP wisely. Once you have defeated Markduk for the final battle return to the Park and defeat him 2 more times to unlock all of the Bakugan IF you have already satisfied the previous ??? requirements on the Park Message Board. If you are missing any Bakugan then the solution is simple: return to the Park Message Board and defeat whomever is underneath the ???. Make sure you buy every Bakugan from each element type. The final one - Ax Vladitor - will cost you 100,000BP.

[top]
Full Deck
Collect all Gate Cards

Difficulty: ***
The same with the Bakugan trophy you must defeat all challengers in the Message Board and also naturally progress through the game. Here is the breakdown of each Gate Card and how many cards are in each type:

Gold: 38 Gate Cards
Silver: 32 Gate Cards
Copper: 31 Cards

[top]
Loaded Deck
Collect all Ability Cards

Difficulty: ***
As listed above you will not be able to purchase all Ability Cards until you have FULLY completed the Park Message Boards and the game. Here is the breakdown:

Red: 25 Cards
Green: 26 Cards
Blue: 36 Cards

[top]
Explorer
Unlock all battlefields in the Park

Difficulty: ***
The battlefields are unlocked through natural progression through each tournament. The final one will unlock after the final battle.

[top]

Win a game against every character in Story Mode

Difficulty: ***
This trophy will come through natural progression of the game and will conclude once you have defeated every named character in the game.

[top]

Play as every character in Battle Arena Mode

Difficulty: *
From the Main Menu select Battle Arena Mode. Select 1 character at a time (you cannot cheat it so begin to suffer), win the match, and then move on to the second. You may also change up the battlefield to cater to your character's Bakugan. Doing so will help with the next trophy.

[top]
Grand Battle Brawler

Difficulty: **
Once Dan teaches you the rules of Battle Royale go ahead and farm the 20 matches in the Park while the challengers are easy.

[top]
Steering Ace
Steer a Bakugan for at least ten seconds

Difficulty: *
To steer a Bakugan throw it away from the Gate Cards and press to begin steering. You may need to refill your Bakugan's meter with a Fuel canitster. Not difficult at all. If you are looking around the Battlefield it is easy.

[top]
Subterra Smasher
Win a battle using the Subterra Quake Special Shot

Difficulty: *
The Subterra Quake Shot can only be used with a Subterra Bakugan who is upgraded to at least level 5. Once in battle there is a gauge under your character's corner which increases as the battle intensifies. It must be full in order to use the Subterra Quake Shot. Once in battle there is a gauge under your character's corner which increases as the battle intensifies. It must be full in order to use the Ventus Storm Shot. Once full use it on the field and WIN THE MATCH IN ORDER FOR THE TROPHY TO COUNT. The Ventus Shot creates a tornado around the Bakugan which all items within its radius will be caught by the Bakugan.

[top]
Darkus Phantom
Win a battle using the Darkus Phantom Special Shot

Difficulty: *
Same as above but use a Darkus Bakugan. The Darkus Phantom shot takes 40BP from all Bakugan on the field and gives it to the shooting Darkus Bakugan.

[top]
Aquos Spiraler
Win a battle using the Aquos Spiral Special Shot

Difficulty: *
Same as above but use a Aquos Bakugan. The Aquos Spiraler shot allows the Aquos Bakugan to move around the Battlefield more gracefully and allows for a greater range of movement.

[top]
Shaking Master
Win five Shaking Battles in a row

Difficulty: *
A Shaking Battle is where you must shake the PS3 controller violently to increase your BP. Easily done in the early Tournaments. A level one Shaking Battle is simply shake, shake, shake it like a Polaroid picture. A level two Shaking Battle is keep shaking until told to stop. If you shake while the screen says "Don't Shake" you will lose BP.

[top]
Shaking Guru
Win five Level 3 Shaking Battles in a row

Difficulty: ***
At level three you must shake the controller (when prompted by the on-screen instructions) either up and down or side to side. You will know when to switch when the controller on screen turns red.

[top]
Shooting Master
Win five Shooting Battles in a row

Difficulty: *
A shooting battle is where you must shoot your Bakugan's attribute symbol multiple times to earn BP points. Remember:

Pyrus=Red
Aquos=Blue
Subterra=Brown
Haos=Grey
Darkus=Black
Ventus=Green

At level one you simply shoot the symbol. At level two you still shoot the symbols but now there is a Gold symbol which gives more points. Get the Gold symbol before the enemy does. You can anticipate it by guessing what will fill in the empty holes.

[top]
Shooting Guru
Win five Level 3 Shooting Battles in a row

Difficulty: **
This is the easiest of the three battles. At level three there are just more Gold Symbols.

[top]
Timing Master
Win five Timing Battles in a row

Difficulty: *
Winning 5 Timing Battles in a row can be easily done in the early Tournaments. At level one you only need to worry about the button. At level two you need to focus on and . A good way to ensure victory is to have your Bakugan's BP higher than your opponent's prior to the battle's beginning.

[top]
Timing Guru
Win five level 3 Timing Battles in a row

Difficulty: **
A level 3 Timing Battle is where you must (ala Guitar Hero) hit , , or shake the controller when the symbol is at the sphere. To ensure a victory do it against a Hard character in the Park and also give your Bakugan a boost if needed. Does not need to be 5 times in a row in one battle, it may be over a period of battles but must be in a row.

[top]
Battle Professional
Win ten Gate Cards in a row

Difficulty: *
Winning a Gate Card is done by:

1. Beating the challenger's Bakugan on a contested Gate Card;
2. Double Standing with two Bakugan; and
3. Performing a Stay.

You must win 10 in a row without losing one, so you must win every match with 3-0 Gate Card Score. Can be done with the first 4 matches as the challengers are set to Easy. Focus on earning those Gate Cards early and quickly and this will be the easiest in the game.

[top]
Sphere Attack Student
Make a successful Sphere Attack or Critical KO shot

[top]
Sphere Attack Master
Make ten successful Sphere Attack or Crirical KO shots

Difficulty: *
Please see Sphere Attack Sensei.

[top]
Sphere Attack Sensei
Make twenty successful Sphere Attack or Critical KO shots

Difficulty: *
A successful Sphere attack is when you aim your Bakugan at a challenger's Bakugan which is already on a Gate Card. Aim the reticule until it is red and place it at the feet of the rival Bakugan. Make sure you hit until the shot type is "special". Release and your Bakugan will ram into the other Bakugan causing damage to the other Bakugan. You will know when it is successful when blue text shows on screen saying "SPHERE ATTACK". Do this 20 times total.

Difficulty: **
Place 3 Bakugan in your deck and head to the Park. Make sure you actually fight a battle against 20 other Bakugan. Double Stands do not count toward winning the match. You must simply defeat 20 Bakugan.

[top]
Subterra Master
Win twenty battles using Subterra Bakugan

Difficulty: **
Place 3 Subterra Bakugan in your Deck and head to the Park and win 20 battles against other Bakugan. You must engage another Bakugan in order for it to count.

[top]
Stand Your Ground
Perform twenty Double Stands

Difficulty: **
A Double Stand is when two of your Bakugan are on the same Gate Card. If you do this feat then you will earn one of the three Gate Cards needed to win. Practice earning these as they are a good way to win matches quickly.

[top]
Staying Power
Perform five stays

Difficulty: *
A stay is performed when all 3 of your Bakugan are on the field and for one complete turn are still on all 3 Gate Cards. An easier way to do this is in the Battle Arena. I was able to do it 3 times during Story Mode but that was by luck.
  1. Go to Battle Arena and hit to add another player (will need a second controller).
  2. Set Gate Cards to Manual on the next screen.
  3. Once the match begins both players will throw down a gate card, 1p (you) should hit to place another Gate Card down and then throw your Bakugan on any of the three cards.
  4. Player 2 should throw his Bakugan off the map making sure not to place it on any of the Gate Cards.
  5. Player 1 now needs to place 1 Bakugan per card and when prompted perform 1 stay. Now place another Gate Card down and repeat the Stay process until you have 5.
  6. Meanwhile Player 2 must keep missing all of the cards.
