[top]Tips & Strategies

  • Feel free to swallow your dignity and play on Easy for a bit of an easier time.
  • Trophy data carries over so you can use chapter select to clean up any trophies/diaries you still need.
  • Lockpicks are needed for audio diaries and other goodies. Make sure you scavenge the areas thoroughly so that you aren't left feeling hopeless.

Down in the Briney
Took a Bathysphere ride in Burial at Sea Episode One

Unmissable trophy. After questing through all the shops in the market and finding a mask, enter Cohen's and prepare to dance and watch a cutscene.

Burial at Sea
Completed Burial at Sea Episode One

Impossible to miss and a very straightforward trophy. Just finish the game, brah.

Audio Enthusiast
Collected all Audio Diaries in Burial at Sea Episode One

Audio Diaries are back in Rapture, taking place of the Voxophones that also took the place of audio diaries. There is a total of 17 audio diaries to be found, and you can use chapter select to go back and collect any that you missed. Below is a guide of all diaries and locations, each section being after a load screen or using a tram.

Fully Equipped
Purchase any two upgrades for Old Man Winter or Radar Range in Burial at Sea Episode One

Right after you get Old Man Winter, if you've been finding enough money (I did), you can buy the two available upgrades for Old Man Winter already. Both of them cost $350, I had around $400 at the time. If you do not, just save up a little more as these upgrades are ridiculously cheap. You can buy upgrades at vending machines, next to the Circus of Values (they are almost always together).

Confirmed Luddite
Destroyed 10 turrets in Burial at Sea Episode One

Turrets are found all around Fontaine's district. When I finished the game though I only had 8 turret kills, so I'm not too sure if there are actually 10 in the game. If this is the case for you, you can reload the chapter Housewares and, after closing the vent in the Bistro and going to the Toy and Appliance department, near the toy store is a turret. This is relatively close to the chapter load point so you can farm this area for the rest of the kills if need be.

Cook and Serve
Made 5 enemies explode with the Radar Range in Burial at Sea Episode One

Much like Break the Ice, this will come naturally. To unlock the Radar Range, you must enter the Bistro in Housewares. Down the stairs is a locked door, enter 3958 and pick up the Radar Range. Now just hold while aiming at an enemy until they turn red and explode. Just do this on the next 5 splicers you come across.

Chain Reaction
Damaged fifteen foes with an exploding enemy, using the Radar Range in Burial at Sea Episode One

See Cook and Serve if you need to know how to get the Radar Range. If you hold with it, it will cook an enemy until they explode, and the explosion will also kill other splicers around it. The range of this is pretty large and the damage kills anyone it hits. You should be able to get this trophy after you get the radar range from that point till the end of the game. If not, just reload the Housewares chapter and get the radar range again.

Break the Ice
Shattered 5 enemies who had been frozen with Old Man Winter

As simple as it gets. When you get Old Man Winter you can either freeze people with traps or by using it how you would normally. Once they splicer is frozen, either shoot them or melee them with . The hardest part of this trophy is getting enough eve to freeze five people, but this trophy will most likely come naturally anyway.

Snowball Effect
Froze 2 enemies with the same Old Man Winter trap

This is a relatively easy trophy as splicers almost never attack alone, and most of them are melee when you get Old Man Winter. To set a trap with a plasmid, hold down until the circle is full then release. There is a nice spot to get this right after you get Old Man Winter. When you're backtracking out of the area, the next room with have skate rentals. Inside there are three splicers. Set a trap on the two melee splicers for this trophy.

Going Places
Rode the tram in Burial at Sea Episode One

After getting Old Man Winter and freezing the spewing water to create a bridge, you'll board the tram to Housewares. The trophy will pop after pulling the lever inside of it. The tram for some reason looks identical to the bathysphere. *shrug*
