[top]Tips and Strategies

  • All Trophies are in XMB Order
  • Pick up everything you can find! A great source of income is to sell found weapons...try and pick up the rare colored objects first as they are worth the most.
  • You can pick up large groups of ammo or cash from nearby chests by holding down the
  • Holding down the while looking at a weapon, armor, etc, will cause that to be immediately equipped and your previously equipped item will be put in your inventory.
  • True Vault Hunter Mode TVHM is available after you complete the game for the first time. All your character stats, weapons, upgrades and locations will all be carried over to this playthrough. All enemies and missions will be upscaled to your current level, so you will earn more experience. From the main menu select Continue and you will have the choice to start this playthrough. You can go back to your Normal mode playthrough at any time by using the Load Character function from the main menu. If you choose to continue on Normal, this prompt won't pop up again. Use the Load Character function to get the prompt to start the TVHM playthrough.
  • Post TVHM After completing the TVHM final mission will change all areas of the game to level 50, which will be ideal for getting those Legendary Weapons

[top]Finding the elusive JIMMY JENKINS

Here is a strategy for this challenge to get Jimmy to spawn better written by cocoasg, If this helps you please head to his thread here http://www.ps3trophies.com/forums/bo...nkins-3-a.html and give him some juicy rep.

However, this is a near-guaranteed way to spawn Jenkins within a few runs only, since it ALWAYS spawns 4 loot loaders from 4 cardboard boxes each time when under the RIGHT conditions as below (including TIME condition!):

***

1) The host of the game must have the Doctor's Orders quest active, and at 0/4 (meaning no quest items picked up yet for that quest); it becomes available from Tannis in Sanctuary upon reaching Wildlife Preservation.
2) To make runs to the 4 cardboard boxes faster, the host should also have the Creature Slaughter DLC installed.
3) Simply run from the start of Wildlife Preservation to the Creature Slaughter Dome (aka Natural Selection Annex), if you have the DLC; enter and exit to set the Creature Slaughter Dome as your new reload point, or if you do not have the DLC, you will have to make do with the further start point of Wildlife Preservation.
4) Run from the Creature Slaughter Dome until you get past the Super Badass Loader guarding the holding cells. In one of those rooms, there is a big chest, some ammo crates... and FOUR cardboard boxes.
5) Gather your whole party, if more than one player, into the room, and WAIT for at least 1 min or more (this allows the area to finish loading the random 4 loot loaders into the cardboard boxes). If you open the boxes too soon, there will be no loot loaders and no chance to spawn Jimmy Jenkins.
6) Do not ever pick up the quest item in one of those 4 boxes (for the Doctor's Orders quest), not EVER; otherwise it will make this not work anymore. So simply have the host back up his/her save before doing this first, just in case.
7) When done right, a loot loader always pops out of each of the 4 boxes, giving you four chances to spawn Jimmy Jenkins out of 5 different types of loot loaders. If no Jenkins yet, reload game.
8) Repeat Steps 3 to 7, until every player in your party has killed a Jenkins each.

***

That is all, and good luck! =3 This worked for me and my two friends; 4 loot loaders from 4 cardboard chests each single time. The most important thing to keep in mind is the time condition, as mentioned in Step 5 above!

[top]Loot

Loot can be found EVERYWHERE on Pandora. It falls from defeated enemies, is hidden in boxes, chests, lockers, safes and even toilets, can be bought from vending machines, and is given you you for completing quests. You can only carry so much loot in your backpack at one time, so always be mindful of how much space you have and what you need, then grab the best loot to sell for extra income. I recommend spending some Eridium to upgrade both your Backpack and your Bank Safe capacities at the Black Market Dealer to maximize the amount of loot you can carry and hold. The most difficult enemies will yield you the best equipment, also the more players that you are playing with will increase the chance at better loot items. Below is a breakdown of the Loot for new players to learn about the game.

Loot Color Loot Rarity Loot Description
White Common These are the crappy white colored guns you find everywhere. They are alright in the beginning of the game, but once you get going and have some good weapons there isn't really much of a use to pick these up. The majority of these come without any add ons that make the weapon better.
Green Uncommon The Green level weapons are almost as easy to find as the white ones, but the green weapons are very useful. The green weapons almost always have some type of elemental add on to the gun as well as enhanced accessories
Blue Rare Most Blue weapons aren't that much better than there Green counterparts, but they are worth better money for resale. That being said, while the elemental and accessories add ons for Blue weapons aren't much better, some of them have a great leap in damage
Purple Very Rare These will have a small increase in elemental damage over the Blue weapons, but Purple weapons always have a Scope on the gun, not matter what type of gun it is.
Magenta Ultra Rare/E-TEC This is new for Borderlands 2. The Magenta color is strictly for E-TEC weapons. The E-TEC weapons turn the ammo for the weapon into bolts of energy. Some of these weapons are very powerful and very hard to find
Orange Legendary Currently this is the top of the pyramid in terms of weaponry. These will always have increased perks you can't find in other weapons as well as fantastic bonuses.
Pink Seraph Crystal After you complete the game you will gain access to Hyperius the Invincible. When you defeat him, he will drop a random number of Pink Seraph Crystals. These Crystals can be traded in at the Crystal Dealer in Oasis for weapons that are more rare than the Orange Legendary Weapons. That being said, you can only fight them once a day, unless you keep changing the clock, and the weapons don't look any more impressive than what you probably already have for Legendary Weapons.

[top]Elemental Weapons

Elemental Weapons can be found on all weapons that you find with the exception of the White weapons. Having a good mix of elemental weapons can mean the difference between a grueling difficult battle and a nice easy battle. The key to elemental weaponry is to know what elements work best against what enemies and their enhancements. Below is a breakdown of the weapons and their specialties.

Elemental Type Specialties
Explosive Weapons Explosive Weapons are great against all types of enemies, but they are fantastic against large groups that are close together, or against shielded enemies. Each round fired will explode on impact causing splash damage to all enemies in the vicinity. With this in mind, you can be creative with the attacks and target the ground near an enemy that is in cover and use the splash damage to knock them out of hiding for a better shot. The drawbacks of these weapons is that the majority of them have a very slow rate of fire.
Corrosive Weapons Corrosive Weapons will coat the enemy in acid, which will eat away at them causing constant damage until the effect has gone away. Corrosive Weapons work great against all enemies that aren't a Corrosive based such as the Caustic Goliaths. Corrosive Weapons are best used against enemies that have Armor. If the enemy has the gold bar that represents Armor, such as all the Hyperion Mechs, use a Corrosive Weapon to eat through it.
Fire Weapons Fire Weapons work the same as Corrosive Weapons and will light the enemies on fire. One of the big differences here, is that the the enemy that is on fire can light other enemies on fire if they run into each other. The fire won't hurt you if they bump you, BUT an enemy on fire can ignite barrels and explosive tanks if they get close to it which can send you straight to the New U station if you are standing too close. Fire Weapons, are fantastic against any human enemies that you battle as their flesh quickly ignites and burns fast, but are NOT overly good against Armored enemies.
Shock Weapons Shock Weapons are good to have, but they aren't as effective as Fire and Corrosive Weapons. When an enemy is hit with a Shock Weapon, there is a chance the attack will electrocute them for a few seconds causing bonus damage, but the effect is very brief. The big advantage to Shock Weapons is that they overload the enemies shields and bring them down quickly. This can be very useful against stalkers as they won't be able to Phaseshift if you bring down their shields.
Slag Weapons Slag Weapons are new to Borderlands 2. A Slag Weapon will coat the target in Slag, which then causes all other attacks to do more damage. Slag doesn't cause damage to the enemy, but if you have a strong weapon with a Slag Enhancement, such as a sniper rifle, you can cause some major damage after you coat the enemy in Slag.

[top]Shield Types

Borderlands 2 has several shield types in the game. It isn't simply a case of How strong a shield is, different shield types will give you certain enhancements that can make the game much easier. I recommend trying each, and finding which shield type works best for your style of gameplay.

Shield Type Description
Regular Shield That's right, these are still available. These shields don't have any perks, they are just there for simple protection.
Spike Shield Spike Shields can come in several different elemental types. With a Spike Shield, any enemy that hits you with a melee attack will receive constant damage based on the elemental type for a short period of time.
Nova Shield Nova Shields also come in several elemental types. With a Nova Shield, whenever your shield or health is depleted, you will put out a Nova Burst of energy based on the elemental type of shield in several bursts in a radius around your character. If you have one equipped and suddenly it seems like you are getting hit by massive explosions, relax it's most likely your Nova Shield
Amp Shield The Amp Shields, will take energy from your shield to give your weapon shot a more powerful attack. Once the shield is full, the next time you shoot your weapon, you will have increased attack power, but you will lose shield power, unless its the Bee Shield, it doesn't lose any shield power and can constantly fire overpowered shots while your shield is full
Maylay Shield The Maylay Shield will give you increased Melee damage called "Roid Damage" if your shield goes down.
Absorb Shield Absorb Shields can absorb enemy bullets and put those bullets into your inventory.
Turtle Shield Turtle Shields are the strongest shields in terms of Max Capacity. The downside is that they all bring your Health Down. The Stronger the shield, the more health you lose
Adaptive Shield Adaptive Shields can adapt to Elemental Attacks. They will adapt to make you immune to the last elemental attack you have received.

[top]The Legendary Bee Shield

If you plan on Taking on Terramorphus Solo, or want to make Terramorphus runs to get better weapons and mods, you need the Bee Shield. The Bee Shield is a Legendary Shield that is held by Hunter Hellquist of the Radio Network. You will receive his location from Mordecai later in the game for the This Just In Side Mission. With the Bee Shield, as long as the shield is at full power, you will do +50,000 damage to every shot you fire from your weapons, which means you can take down Terramorphus very fast. He won't always give up the Bee Shield, however so you may need to do some farming to unlock the shield .

Overall: 8.5/10
Borderlands is a masterpiece in the vein of the FPS genre. It isn't something that will find a lot of draw to people who already don't like the genre, but for FPS fans, you will find one of the deepest and most stylish gameplay experiences the genre has to offer. Overall: 9.5/10 Super Brilliant
Borderlands 2 separates itself from the rest of the shooters out there by implementing the greatest things itís predecessor had and building up on them. This game is seriously fun (specially with friends) and is a serious contender for the game of the year. Click here to read the full review.

[top] Hoff's Path to Platinum

Borderlands 2 is designed to be a multiple playthrough game. You can find ways to platinum this game in just one playthrough if you play through the game on Co-op with friends to boost yourself to level 50, but we are going to focus on a 2 playthrough strategy.

[top]Playthrough 1 - Normal mode

Your first playthrough will be about character building, and preparing for playthrough #2. Start planning ahead as to what type of character build you would like to have by the time you hit level 50 so you can properly upgrade your characters. Try and find the best guns you can find as you will need them for the final battle, but you will find that everything you think is a good weapon will become obsolete in the first few areas of you the second playthrough. Use this playthrough to finish up all the miscellaneous trophies in the game if you can. You won't be able to finish the trophies for the challenges until after you complete the game and are close to level 50 when you can take on Terramorphus. At this time I am unsure if finishing that challenge on playthrough #2 while finishing the rest of the challenges on playthrough #1 will still unlock the trophy, or if all the challenges must be done on one playthrough, so it is up to you how you want to approach the challenges. Once I know, I will update this. By the end of this playthrough you should only have these trophies left:
  • Challenge Accepted
  • Capped Out...for Now
  • Thresher Trashed
  • Did it All
  • The trophies for the other Vault Hunters that aren't your regular character

[top]Playthrough 2 - True Vault Hunter Mode

With this playthrough, you want to finish off the remaining trophies that I listed above that pertain to the playthrough of the Vault hunter that you are playing with. Make sure you check on the Challenges as some of the Challenges don't unlock until you have maxed out the final rank of a previous challenge in that group, so I would recommend maxing out all of the weapon challenges if you are having troubles. If you haven't finished the co-op trophies and challenges yet, now is a good time to clean those up along with any miscellaneous trophies as well. The only thing you should be left with by the time you finish this playthrough is cleanup with the other characters.

[top] Did It All....the easy way

Once you hit level 50, Save and Quit your game to the main menu. Now press the to load your character and then choose Normal Playthrough. Your character will reload at your current level of 50 with all your upgrades and weapons from the TVHM playthrough, at where you left off on your Normal playthrough. Now head through and complete the remaining Side Missions you didn't finish in your first playthrough at an easier level. This makes the Hyperion Slaughter Dome a complete joke, and you can battle Terramorphus on Normal mode as well. Once you have finished off your remaining Side Missions from your first playthrough the trophy will unlock.

[top]Cleanup

Now that you have finished with everything else, find a friend who is on their second playthrough and join their game to boost your other 3 vault hunters you haven't been playing with to the necessary levels to easily complete Special Ability trophies.

Sit back and enjoy another a well deserved trophy

Borderland Defender Round Two
Unlocked all Borderlands 2 trophies

[top]
First One's Free
Completed the mission "My First Gun"

This is a Story Mission

Follow Claptrap into his house, and listen to his ramblings. After Knuckle Dragger pulls out Claptrap's eye head over to the cabinet marked on the map marker and grab the gun inside. Once you grab the gun the first trophy of the game will unlock.

[top]
Dragon Slayer
Completed the mission "Best Minion Ever"

This is a Story Mission

Once you have finally reached Liar's Berg, talk to Claptrap again to begin The Best Minion Ever main story mission. For this mission, you will be escorting Claptrap to the top of the map to confront Flynt and to reclaim Claptrap's ship so you can get off this frozen island and get to Sanctuary.

The first stop on this mission is the Wreck of the Ice Sickle. Follow Claptrap until you get to the locked door. At this door you will get ambushed by several bandits from all the doors in the area. Take them all out and Claptrap will open the door for you. Head across the bridge to the next area and you will face off against Boom and Bewm.

Boom and Bewm
The Brothers of Boom and Bewm...a couple of hillbillies that love nothing more than explosives. Boom will attack you from his cannon "Big Bertha" while his little brother attacks you from the ground with a shotgun and throws grenades at you. I recommend ignoring Bewm and focusing on Bertha. Bertha is covered in armor, so use a Corrosive Weapon to quickly take out the armor. Stay close to cover and duck behind it whenever Bertha is about to fire as the cannon can knock you into Fight for your Life mode from one direct hit. Once the cannon is down, Boom will jump out of the cannon and attack on foot. Concentrate on Bewm first as he will be the one to charge you and take him down, then turn your attack to Boom for the easy victory.

Now head over to Claptrap to continue the progress, then turn around and head back over to the cannon and take out the door. Stay in the cannon as a horde of bandits will charge through the door and take out the pile from the cannon. Now continue through the door and follow the path as it heads up the mountain. About halfway up the mountain you will meet up with Claptrap again as he will be getting his ass beat by several bandits. Take them out and continue to escort him until you reach the stairs. Now continue up the camp alone to reach the lever to lift the elevator to get Claptrap up to the top where you will face Flynt

Captain Flynt
I'm not gonna lie, Flynt is kind of an asshat at your low level. Once you are on his ship, take a look to your left and you will find him over on his ship, about halfway up. If you received the sniper rifle from Hammerlock, or if you have found a sniper rifle, stay over on the right side of the ship and take shots at him to get his shields to drop. Flynt is Immune to Fire damage so don't even bother with one of those weapons. Don't charge over towards him thinking you are Rambo as he has a horde of minions over near him on the left side of the ship. Once his shields drop, he will jump down. As soon as he jumps down, make sure you aren't standing on ANY of the vents on the ship. Flynt will engulf himself in flames and flames will erupt out of all the vents on the ship. Flynt will be invincible during this period so just stay back. At the end of his flame attack he will unleash a flame burst in a small radius from his body that will ignite you if it hits you. Once his flame mode ends, continue your onslaught on him. I recommend staying over to the right side of the ship and making him come to you to keep Bandit interference minimal.

Once Flynt is dead, take out the remaining bandits in the area, then loot the room that Claptrap opens. Head out the other side and over to Claptrap's ship. Once you are there, speak to Claptrap to turn in the mission and the trophy will unlock.

[top]
A Road Less Traveled
Completed the mission "The Road To Sanctuary"

This is a Story Mission

Now that you have reached Three Horns Divide you can really get into the game. The rest of the game was really just a prologue as to whats coming. head off the ship and follow the canyon towards the map marker at the Catch a Ride station taking out the Bullymongs along the way. Once you get here you will find that Scooter won't give you access to a new ride Angel needs you to fetch a Hyperion Network Adapter from the Bandit Camp behind you so she can hack the system. Head into the camp, and fight your way to the half buried Hyperion Mech at the back and grab the adapter then return and put it into the machine. now grab your Light Runner, and use the to boost over the ramp to reach the other side of the destroyed bridge to update the mission objectives.

Drive down the Ice tunnel, taking out Bullymongs along the way with a combo of running them over and rocket/machine gun fire until you reach the exit, then head for the map marker at Sanctuary. Once there take out all the Bandits tot he left of the entrance, then use the intercom to talk to Roland.

Now head out in your vehicle to the map marker to look for Corporal Reiss and the Power Core. Pickup the ECHO recorder from the middle of the road along the way, then continue on foot towards Marrowfield, Take out all the Bullymongs in this area, then head up the path to the left side to find Reiss being mauled by Bandits. Take them out then talk to Reiss.

Now head to Windbreak Camp and take out all the Bandits to find the one with the Power Core. Retrieve the core and head back to Sanctuary. Go through the front doors and talk to Lt. Davis who has you place the power core in the shield generator on the right hand side of the area and the trophy will unlock with the completed mission.

[top]
New in Town
Completed the mission "Plan B"

This is a Story Mission

Once inside Sanctuary seek out Scooter in his garage and he will tell you about his plan to make Sanctuary fly. Grab the Power cores from the shelves and head out to place them in the map markers. Once you have placed both of them head over to the Black Market and purchase something with the Eridium that Scooter gave you to get the third Power Core. Place it in the third slot, watch the events unfold, then head back to Crimson HQ and find Roland's ECHO recorder to complete the easy mission and unlock the trophy.

[top]
An Old Flame
Completed the mission "Hunting The Firehawk"

This is a Story Mission

Head out to Frostburn Canyon by driving over the ice bridge near Marrowfield and head through the small camp to get to the entrance. Once here, hang a right to go through Blisterpus Camp, taking out all the Bandits and Goliaths along the way. This area is filled with Nomad Pyros who are immune to fire weapons so plan accordingly. Head through the tunnel and into the caves. The caves are pretty straightforward, simply move from area to area taking out bandits and Spider Ants along the way until you reach the Firehawk's Lair Once you find the sexy Firehawk, you will take on several waves of enemies with her help in her lair. In between waves, grab her some Eridium when prompted and hand it to her so she can recharge then prepare for the next encounter. Once all the waves are completed talk to the Firehawk again to complete the mission and receive the trophy.

[top]
No Man Left Behind
Completed the mission "A Dam Fine Rescue"

This is a Story Mission

Head through Three Horns Divide to reach Three Horns Valley, then head down the road to the left side of the area to find Bloodshot Compound. head up to the door and honk your horn to get them to open the door for you and instead they open fire on you Now head through the nearby exit to reach The Dust and Eliie's Garage . Here Ellie explains that she can help you get a Bandit Technical to get into the compound, but she needs parts. You need to take out 5 bandit vehicles that are conveniently enough roaming around The Dust and bring her the parts from their remains.

Now head back to the Compound and honk your horn again and they will lower the door for you. Head inside on foot and battle your way to the back of the area for a mini boss battle.

Bad Maw
Bad maw is a Badass Nomad Torturer who hides behind his shield like a big girl and shoot at you. In addition to that Bad Maw has 3 midgets, instead of the normal one midget the other torturers have strapped to his shield You can approach this a couple different ways. You can take out the midgets to expose the whole in the shield to shoot Maw, or you can just shoot them all at once and hope for the best. There is a challenge associated with shooting the chains off a shield to free the midgets, who then attack you, but you will have plenty of opportunities to do that so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I recommend using either a Corrosive Weapon or Fire Weapon on him so that the status effect will injure him behind his shield. Also Explosive Weapons work well too as the splash damage from the explosions will damage him on the other side of his shield. Once he falls you will gain access into the stronghold.

The stronghold is very straightforward Make your way through the stronghold taking out enemies until you reach Roland's cell. Once you are there watch what happens then prepare a good Corrosive Weapon and follow through the hole in the back of the cell. You are now about to get mobbed by mechs. Proceed through the exit at the end of the area and onto the top of the dam. Up here you will have a huge battle with Mechs...they will attack nonstop. Also keep an eye out for the Surveyors that fly around in the areas. They shoot Electrical attacks that can drop your shields in one hit when they make their attack runs. Fight your way around the top of the dam until you reach Roland and W4R-D3N.

W4R-D3N
W4R-D3N is an extremely annoying Constructor that is holding Roland captive. He has powerful shields so make sure you equip a good Shock Weapon for this battle. Take cover behind the car in the middle and start firing at the red eye in the center of the constructor. Try to get his shields down before he constructs too many Mechs and you get overwhelmed. Don't just simply run around shooting the Mechs, as they will infinitely respawn until the Constructor is dead. If you can get his shield down, take out your strongest weapons and shoot at the eye for critical damage to try and take him out before the Hyperion Drop Ship takes Roland away. If you manage to save Roland there, the mission will end and the trophy will unlock. If not, continue reading.

Now backtrack through the stronghold to get to the fast travel station and use it to get to Ellie's Garage in The Dust. Once you are there, refill on ammo, especially your Corrosive Weapon, then head out in a vehicle to the Friendship Gulag that is marked on your map. Once you are at the Gulag, make your way through the Mechs and Hyperion Soldiers to the back where W4R-D3N is guarding Roland. Now you can battle him again, with no time limit. use the same tactics to drop his shield, then take him out to free Roland, complete the mission and unlock the trophy.

[top]
Wilhelm Screamed
Completed the mission "A Train To Catch"

This is a Story Mission

Head out to Tundra Express and prepare a nice Fire Weapon for the inhabitants of this area. Battle your way through the Varkids and get three of them on fire at the same time to get the attention of Mordecai. Once you have listened to his plan, head to the marker on the map to meet up with Tiny Tina the Explosives Expert, who in my opinion, is the BEST new character in the entire game. Tina explains that she needs you to help her get her Badonkadonks back for her sexy ladies to take down the train.

Head out from Tina's and turn left, now take another left and travel past Rip Off Station to a Varkid nest down int he valley. Head through the mountain waills and take a left and follow the train tracks to get to Buzzard Academy. Take out the enemies and grab the two badonkadonks and head back to Tiny Tina. Grab the Sexy Ladies, and head across the bridge to the right of Tina's workshop to get to Meltwater Crossing. Fight through the bandits and climb the ladder up to the tower and place the Ladies at the marked locations and when the train comes let the ladies work their magic.

Now head down and climb up the wreckage to reach the End of the Line. Once you are here it is a straight shot back to the back of the area to face Wilhelm

Wilhelm
No matter what anyone says, Wilhelm is a big sissy. He has shields and armor so use Shock Weapons to bring them down then pelt him with Corrosive Weapons He can summon more Mechs to help him in battle, but I recommend just ignoring them and concentrating on Wilhelm himself. If you happen to go into Fight for your Life, use one of the many Mechs or Surveyors to get a Second Wind and continue the battle. Once Wilhelm falls, grab the Power Core then use the fast travel to return to Sanctuary. Talk to Lt. Davis by the power generator again to complete the mission and unlock the trophy.

[top]
Sky's the Limit
Completed the mission "Rising Action"

This is a Story Mission

Place the new Power Core into the generator and all hell breaks loose!!! Head back to the middle of Sanctuary and help Scooter prepare the Ignition Modules by interacting with them. Now head into the Crimson HQ and grab some Eridium for Lilith and head back and give it to her and watch what happens.

Now head to Three Horns Valley and head up the small path leading up the mountain to the left of the Happy Pigs Motel to find a small bandit camp and the entrance to the Fridge to complete the emission and unlock the trophy.

[top]
Can See my House From Here
Completed the mission "Bright Lights, Flying City"

This is a Story Mission

Head into the Fridge and you will have your first encounter with Rats >:F. Rats are irritating little buggers that move around quite fast and make it a pain in the ass to shoot them. Once you have cleared out the first area, head down the path that leads down the hill towards the frozen lake, and continue down the main path. I recommend avoiding the frozen lake for now, but if you insist on exploring, you will face an angry horde of Crystalisks. Remember that these can only be killed by destroying the crystals on their legs. They have very powerful long range attacks so I recommend a close range attack with a powerful melee or a powerful shotgun attack. Once you have finished exploring, continue down the main path and out the door to the Highlands - Outwash.

In the Highlands - Outwash, you will encounter a new irritating enemy, Stalkers. Stalkers have a shield that makes them phase in and out of visibility making it easier to sneak up on their prey. Use a good Shock Weapon to drop their shields, making them permanently visible, then take them out. Head down the path to the Hyperion Extraction plant as you search for a supply beacon. Head into the first area, and head up the stairs in the middle and take out any interloping mechs with your favorite Corrosive Weapon, then head up the stairs in the middle of the area. At the top press the button to bring the crate back to your position, then get inside and ride in the crate as it moves to the other side of the water. Jump out of the crate, and head over to the left and a door will open up and a Constructor will come out. Use the same methods you used against W4R-D3N to take out this Constructor, then head through the door towards the beacon. Immediately a Gluttonous Thresher will attack. I recommend using a Shock Weapon to quickly bring down his shields, then switch to a Fire Weapon to ignite him so he has continuous damage in case you get distracted by the mechs popping up in the battle. Once he falls, grab Beacon, then head into the tunnel to the exit to the Highlands.

Here you get access to another Catch a Ride. Grab your favorite vehicle, then head to the map marker which is Overlook. Exit your car, and head to the marker on your map to place the Beacon. Now you have an arenaesque battle against the mechs as Jack tries to shut down the beacon. The battle consists mainly of generic mechs, but there will be a Constructor near the end, as well as some Hot Loaders. If the bBeacon happens to be shut down, simply restart it and continue. Once the Fast Travel station comes back online, go to Sanctuary and head to Crimson HQ to talk to Roland and the mission will end and the trophy will unlock.

Farewell, Old Girl
Completed the mission "Wildlife Preservation"

This is a Story Mission

Grab a good Corrosive Weapon and a good Fire Weapon, and head out to the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. Once you are there, battle your way through the Stalkers and head up the mountain in the beginning area to find Mordecai for a mission update. Looks like you are going to go look for his bird to continue the story, so jump back down and head for the main doors of the Preserve. You will find the doors closed, and Mordecai instructs you to damage some of the mechs so that enforcements are sent to help. To do this, you need to damage multiple mechs WITHOUT killing them. This can be quite hard with elemental weapons, so switch to a standard weapon and aim for the legs to knock down the mechs until the doors open and reinforcements come out.

Head into the facility and take out all the mechs, surveyors and engineers that try and stop you as you make your way towards the map marker. Just outside the research facility, the door will be closed and several mechs and stalkers will attack. Take them all out and a Super Badass Mech will emerge from behind the closed door. Use your best Corrosive Weapon along with your action skill to make short work of him, then proceed into the facility. Before heading into Bloodwing's enclosure, head into the supply room on the right side! The 4 boxes on the right side have a high chance of spawning Jenkins for anyone looking for him. After that, head into the enclosure and you will find Bloodwing is no longer there, oh and it's apparently feeding time >:F.

Now head through the now open door to reach the Observation Wing, and jump down and proceed through the area until you reach the elevator that leads down to the battle with Bloodwing.

Bloodwing
The first thing you will have noticed about Bloodwing, is that he is now a giant beast of a bird, and he is apparently unfriendly. Your goal in this battle, is to get him down to 10% health so Mordecai can tranquilize him. Bloodwing will switch between all the elemental attacks as he slams to the ground during his dive attack. Avoid his long range attacks while he is in the air, then attack him while he is on the ground just after his dive attack. Be sure to not attack him with his current element as he will be immune to the attacks. During the battle Skags will periodically join the fray, I recommend ignoring them and focusing on putting down Bloodwing.

Once Bloodwing falls, grab the chip from his collar and loot the area. now head back to the fast travel and go back to Sanctuary. Head to Claptrap and give him his upgrade, and a high five, then go see Roland again to turn in the mission and receive your trophy.

Got the Band Back Together
Completed the mission "The Once and Future Slab"

This is a Story Mission

After you receive the mission head through the Highlands to reach Thousand Cuts. Once there, head into Slab City and proceed to the right. Here you will fight your way along the main path taking out a huge horde of Bandits as you work your way toward Buzzard Factory. Once you reach the factory, head upstairs and drop down into the factory through the opening, Here you will face several waves of Bandits as your initiation, but nothing too overwhelming that you haven't faced before, Once you have finished all the enemies you gain an audience with the Slab King.

After being reunited with an old friend, Hyperion will begin a mortar attack on Slab City. Follow Brick around to all the Mortar Beacons, make sure you avoid the mortar targeting on the ground, to each of the 3 beacons and wait for Brick to destroy the shields. Once he destroys the shields, take out the Beacon to stop the mortar strikes in the area that you are in at the time. Once each beacon goes down, you will get ambushed by mechs. Use your best Corrosive Weapon to quickly take them out. Once each area is secure, repeat the process for the other two areas, then head back to Sanctuary and talk to Roland to complete the mission and receive the trophy.

Identity Theft
Completed the mission "The Man Who Would Be Jack"

This is a Story Mission

Head across the Hyperion bridge in the Highlands to reach Opportunity. Once you are there, prepare a couple good Corrosive Weapons, then head out to the map marker to find Jack's body double. Take out all the mechs in the area and take down Fake Jack and grab the voice sample. Now head around to the four kiosks in the area, which are all marked on your map, and interact with them to get more samples. Once you have all 4 head to the Hyperion Office Complex and upload the samples into the terminal. Once you are finished and have Jacks voice, head back to Sanctuary to complete the mission and unlock the trophy.

[top]
An Angel's Wish
Completed the mission "Where Angels Fear To Tread"

This is a Story Mission

Head over to Claptrap in his little nook and explain the plan and he will head off to meet you at Thousand Cuts. Head through Slab City on the left side to get to Bloody Knuckle Point. Head out the other side and up to the Hyperion Forcefield where Claptrap is waiting for you. He will shut down the forcefield and then prepare for a massive battle as you work your way up the mountain to the Bunker. You wont face anything new during your ascent, but you will face an assload of mechs of all types as well as a couple Constructors. Once you get to the Bunker, reload your ammo at the vending machines and sell your weapons you don't need, then proceed up the stairs to the upper area. Up here you will face even more Mechs and you must destroy 11 of the bunkers auto cannons to continue in the quest. Once you have destroyed all the cannons, you will begin a battle with the real boss of the area BNK-3R

BNK-ER
The entire platform comes to life for this battle and apparently is a massive ship with heavy weaponry. As soon as the battle starts, head back down to the Ammo Vending Machine and reload your ammo for this battle. Now look for BNK-3R as he is usually flying around. I recommend using the downstairs for cover from his weaponry until he has found a place to set up. Once he is setup use your most powerful weapons to take shots at the group of red eyes to inflict the most damage on him all at once. Try to stay downstairs if you can for this battle as the upper level will provide cover from his attacks. He has a couple auto turrets on his body that you can take out to reduce his firepower. Once he closes up and starts to fly around again, head back downstairs again and wait for him to set up again. Continue doing this, while occasionally heading for more ammo, and he will fall very quickly, just be careful you don't fall off the platform.

Now head down to the lower level to reach the entrance to Angel's holding area. Head into the Control Core and you will find that you have to destroy the Eridium injectors to free Angel. Unfortunately they are all shielded . You must now take out a number of Mechs that come to defend the area, while Angel works on getting the shields down. Not too fear though, you will soon be joined by Roland and eventually by Lilith during this battle. Once each shield comes down, destroy each injector until all three are down and you reach the cutscene. After the dust settles, head back to sanctuary and complete the mission and receive the trophy.

Bomb's Away
Completed the mission "Toil And Trouble"

This is a Story Mission

Head out to Eridium Blight, then follow the main road over the bridge and head through the exit to the right side of the bandit camp with the Catch a Ride to get to Sawtooth Cauldron. Here you are going to face a huge amount of Bandits. Think of this area as one massive Bandit Camp. Head through the first area, then head down the path way into the valley floor to another massive bandit camp. Once the camp is cleared, enter the cave on the right side of the area to enter Smoking Guano Grotto. You can also just jump down here from above when you first enter Sawtooth Cauldron and avoid most of the battling. Now head to the right and battle through the bandits to reach the elevator. Interact with the elevator and Mortar will send down his Commanders to attack you. Take the four of them out and Brick will update you with a new plan.

Head back towards the beginning of the Grotto , but head out the other side to the next area. Take out the few bandits here, then head down into the small river and be prepared as you will get attacked by a horde of Threshers that live here. Take them out, then move up into another massive bandit camp. Make your way to the back of the camp until you reach the waypoint marker, and interact with the lift to bring out Mortar's personal Buzzard. Once the Buzzard is destroyed, head back down the stairs and take a left at the bandit camp. Look on the right side for a conveyor belt heading into the mountain. You can use this to get back to the elevator without going all the way around again. Once inside, Mortar will attack you. He is a Super Badass Flaming Psycho that will throw explosives at you. use your Action Skill and your best weapons to take him out quickly, then ride the elevator up to the top.

Once you are at the top, you need to clear out the Bandits, and the 5 buzzards that are flying around to give Brick's Slab's a clear shot at the cargo. Once they have been taken out, mark the 5 containers by interacting with them to update the mission. Now head back to Eridium Blight, and grab a vehicle. Head back across the bridge and then take a left through the Hyperion door. Follow the main road to the bridge to the Arid Nexus and wait for the Slabs to drop their payload then proceed through the Exit. After you appear in the Arid Nexus, interact with the intercom to complete the mission and receive the trophy.

Knowing is Half the Battle
Completed the mission "Data Mining"

This is a Story Mission

Head to the map marker indicated and Mordecai will redirect you to turn off the pressure at all 3 pump stations around the area so you can blast your way into the pipe. Head to all three of the marked stations with your best Corrosive Weapons and battle your way through the Hyperion mechs to shut off the pumps. Pump #1 and Pump #3 are both above ground, nice and easy to find. For Pump #2. head to the small structure above the way point marker, and interact with the panel to take the elevator down to the Pump Station. Once you have shut off all the Pumps, head back to the Pipeline and use the rock ramp with your boost on your Light Runner to launch your vehicle into the Pipeline breaking it open. Now jump up into the pipe and head to the ladder at the end of it that takes you to the Transmix Regulator Station. Battle through the Mechs, and proceed through the exit to Arid Nexus: Badlands.

In Arid Nexus: Badlands, proceed to your left and then to your right and you will see Fyrestone. If you have played Borderlands 1, this should all look familiar. Grab some missions from the bounty board and take out all the mechs in the area, then head down the path to the left towards the map marker. Before coming out to the clearing where the bus station is located, look to your left to see a large pool of Eridium and several mechs around it. Take them all out first, then head towards the boss stop to face off against Saturn.

Saturn
Saturn is a massive asshat of a Mech that wants nothing more than to kill you. He is equipped with massive weaponry and two Auto cannons on his shoulders to add constant damage to you. Once the battle starts, turn around and head back towards Fyrestone. Use the cover in the beginning of the area, near the opening of the bus stop as your strategic bunker for this battle. Stand behind one of the walls and wait for his rockets to explode, then pop out and hit him with your most powerful weapons before ducking back into cover before he can hit you with his missiles. If you run out of ammo, head back towards the bounty board and you will find an ammo vending machine, then head back and continue the onslaught until Saturn eventually falls.

Once he is vanquished, head up the lift in the back of the area to reach the highway. Now head down the highway taking out mechs until you come to the Hyperion Info Stockade. Head up to the second level and prepare for battle. Plug into the terminal to find the Warrior's location, and two Badass Constructors emerge on the two platforms outside the area. You only need to take out the one near the data device, then you can jump off the edge and head back to the fast travel station. Head back to Sanctuary to complete the mission and unlock the trophy.

Cool Story, Bro
Defeated Jack

This is a Story Mission

It's all come down to this, prepare for battle with your best Corrosive Weapons and recharge all your ammo, then go around town talking to each of the people listed as Side Ojectives. You don't HAVE to talk to them all, but each one will give you something for the final battle. Once you are done, talk to Claptrap, then head out to Eridium Bright and the final area of the game. Head through the large Hyperion door near the Catch a Ride, then head up the hill to the very large door where Claptrap will attempt to open the door. Take out the attacking Mechs and then watch the very Star Warsesque happenings between Claptrap and the door and be prepared for a large battle. This will take some time to clear out all the mechs from the area, but eventually Claptrap will get the door open giving you access to Hero's Pass.

Refill your ammo at the vending machines in Hero's Pass, then make your way through this next area, with a little help from Brick and Mordecai, taking out all the Mechs along the way until you reach the Vault of the Warrior. You will most likely die a lot in this area as there is a shit ton of mechs, but don't get discouraged, just keep fighting to the end.

As soon as you enter the Vault of the Warrior, you will notice a weird panel in front of you. Interacting with these will give you random ammo and health chests. refill here and then proceed forward to take on Jack

Jack
Jack isn't very tough, but he is only a mini boss, and not the real boss. He doesn't have a very powerful attack EXCEPT the nova blast he emits when you drop his shields. When his shields are still up he can create clones of himself around the area so it can be tricky to find him. Once his shields are dropped, he is vulnerable to Fire Weapons. Grab your best gun and take him down and then the real battle begins.

The Warrior
The Warrior isn't all that tough as long as you follow these simple rules:
  1. Always try to stay on an elevated area.
  2. Move from place to place in between attacks
  3. Aim at the glowing weak point on his chest to cause Critical Damage and send him back into the lava interrupting his attacks.
The warrior has several very powerful attacks but you can interrupt all of these if you can cause him enough damage in his weakpoint so that he heads back into the lava. Once he does that, the lava will rise so make sure you are elevated when this happens. That being said, it doesnt rise up enough in the middle area where Jack is to hit you so you can still stand on the ground there and be safe. About halfway through, he will summon Crystalisks to help him in the battle. I recommend ignoring them and focusing on him. Continue the methods above and he will fall very fast and the main story will end and you will receive a juicy gold trophy

Challenge Accepted
Completed level 1 of all non-level-specific challenges with a single character

For this trophy you must complete Level 1 of all the General Challenges of the game. This means that all the "Area Specific" challenges you receive for completing challenges in a specific map aren't required for this trophy. This may sound like a grind, but you should be able to complete Level 1 of most of these challenges before the end of your first playthrough. You can view your challenge progress at any time in the menu, at the far right tab. Press to the when viewing your Badass Rank to view the Challenges. Below are all the challenges you need to complete for this trophy.

Don't be fooled by your initial Challenges list!!! Some of the challenges will be hidden until you max out some of the other challenges and then they will appear. These two challenges below are hidden challenges that aren't in the tables below and don't show up in your initial list. All the Challenges for this trophy should be listed now, if there is one missing please let me know so I can post it

The two challenges below that are hidden are retro to the kills you have already made. For example, when you finally finish rank 5 of the Splish Splash Challenge and unlock Catch a Rocket!, you will get credit for all your previous kills that fulfill the Catch a Rocket! requirements. When I finally hit level 5 of Splish Splash, I unlocked the first 4 challenge levels of Catch a Rocket!, at the same time

Goliath, meet David
Allowed a Goliath to level up four times before killing him

The first Goliaths you encounter in the game will be in Frostburn Canyon during the Hunting the Firehawk main story mission. What you will want to do once you find a Goliath is shoot his head off. As soon as you do this, he will acquire his first form of "Raging Goliath". From this point you will need your Goliath to "level up" four more times before you defeat him. Once he turns into a Raging Goliath, he will start attacking all the enemies around him. As he continues to kill enemies, his internal Rage Meter will fill up until he levels up again. The four Goliath levels are, Badass Goliath, Super Badass Goliath, Ultimate Badass Goliath and Godliath. Once he hits that final stage, he will be extremely strong so use your best weapons and skills to take him down.

Now that you know about the Goliath, as soon as you enter the caves in Frostburn Canyon in the Hunting the Firehawk mission, there will be a Goliath. Take his head off to get him raging, then lead him down the waterway on the left hand side of the main path of this first area. Here you will run him into a pile of Spiderants which are relatively weak and are great for him to build up his Rage Meter. Continue with him chasing you down this path and by the time you get him to Frozen Ant Lake, he should be leveled up to Godliath form for you to get the trophy.

You can get this trophy from an Goliath that is full leveled up that you kill, but this is one of the easier places. As soon as you kill one the trophy will unlock.

Went Five Rounds
Completed Round 5 of any Circle of Slaughter

There are two Circle of Slaughter Arenas that come standard with Borderlands, Bandit Slaughter and Hyperion Slaughter. You will also have access to a third, Creature Slaughter if you have the add on DLC. For this trophy you must complete all 5 rounds of multiple waves of enemies for that Arena. That's the bad news. The good news is that the game saves after each round, so you don't have to go back to round 4 of you die in round 5, unlike the Moxxi Arena DLC from the first game. Both of these Arenas are available as sidequests and will be required to get if you are trying to get a juicy on the game so it isn't something extra you HAVE to do on top of everything else.

For exact Arena locations and tips please see the Did it All trophy below.

Reached level 50

There are a couple ways to go about this trophy. You can do it all in one playthrough, if you find some friends to play with at the end of your first playthrough that are already on their second playthrough so you can powerlevel your character, or you can start a second playthrough on True Vault Hunter Mode and continue playing. By the end of your first playthrough doing all the Side Missions available, you should be in the 30-35 range. In TVHM you will get a huge boost in EXP earned for both enemies and the missions completed, so you will have no problems getting to level 50 on this playthrough. Once you hit level 50 the trophy will unlock

Sugar Daddy
Tipped Moxxi $10,000

You can find the Luscious Moxxi in her bar inside Sanctuary. In front of her on the bar is her tip jar. Unfortunately no matter how much you tip her, she doesn't take her clothes off >:F. You have the option of tipping Moxxi either $100.00 or $1000.00. I recommend waiting until you have $10,000 saved and doing this all at once. You need to save $10,000 for the corresponding challenge anyway. Once you have $10,000 saved up, save your game, then head in and tip her $1,000 ten times. Once you have done that the trophy will unlock. Now use your button to quit directly out to the main menu, reload your game and you will have all your money. DO NOT use the Quit option from the menu, otherwise the game will Save and Quit and you will continue $10,000 lighter.

If you have a bunch of money to spare, you will lose it when you die anyway, if you tip Moxxi $15,000 the option to tip her will go away. Wait for a few seconds, there is some lag involved in this I have found, and she will eventually present you with Mad Moxxi's Bad Touch. This is a powerful SMG that deals Corrosive Damage. The SMG will be rated at whatever level you are at the time so if you do this once you are level 50 you will get a very powerful weapon. You can also do this several times. Once you receive the weapon from her, the option to tip her will come back. The amount you have to tip her will now increase to receive the weapon from her.

If you get this weapon a SECOND time you will get Mad Moxxi's Good Touch instead. Moxxi will refer to this weapon as her favorite weapon when she gives it to you....If you can't figure out why she calls it that, equip the gun and give the controller to your GF and see if she can tell you why a woman would love that particular weapon

Decked Out
Had Purple-rated gear or better equipped in every slot

Mmmmmmm sweet succulent Purple Rated Gear . Purple Gear is the "Vary Rare" loot of Borderlands 2. For this trophy you will need to have unlocked AND equipped a Purple, Magenta, or Orange rated weapon in each of the four available weapon slots. IN ADDITION to that, you must also have equipped one of those colors in the Shields, Grenades, Class Mods and Relic slots. You won't have any problems finding the weapons, but it won't be until later in the game until you find a Purple Relic for completing the Showdown Side Mission. You may receive one sooner than this randomly, but this one is assured to be at least Purple. I recommend keeping your Purple and Orange items in the Bank Storage in Sanctuary that you aren't using anymore once you find them until you have enough pieces to equip them all for the trophy. The Grenades can also be a pain as they are few and far between, so keep your eye out for them. Once you have filled all slots the trophy will unlock, and you can go back to your preferred loadout.

Sabre Rattler
Killed 100 enemies with the Sabre turret

You will unlock Axton's Sabre Turret ability at Level 5. After that, anytime the Action Skill Icon on the bottom right is green you can deploy a Sabre Turret by pressing the button. There really is no secret to this trophy, the more often you deploy the turrets in battle, the faster you will get to this trophy. That being said, the turret has to actually kill enemies for you to gain credit towards this trophy so I recommend taking skills in the Guerrilla skill tree to improve the strength, accuracy and max ammo for your turrets to make them more effective in battle. I also recommend grabbing the Scorched Earth skill in that tree so you can shoot rockets from your turret. Remember to deploy often, and use the turrets on weaker enemies often and you will get this well before the end of the game.

[top]
Phased and Confused
Phaselocked 100 enemies

You will unlock the ability to Phaselock enemies at level 5. This trophy is even easier than the Sabre Turret Trophy as you don't even have to kill the enemies you simply have to hit them with a Phaselock. As soon as you see the Abilities Gauge on the bottom left light up green hit the while aiming at an enemy to grab them with a Phaselock. As long as you remember to do this often, you will have this trophy before the halfway point in the game.

[top]
So Much Blood
Gunzerked continuously for 90 seconds

This trophy isn't very difficult, if you are playing as Salvador. If you aren't playing as Salvador, you will need to get to level 25 before you will be able to unlock this trophy. Either way, you will need to focus on the Rampage Skill Tree for the skills necessary to acquire this trophy. Once you are working on this skill tree, you will need to spend 5 points on both the Last Longer skill and the Yippee Ki Yay skill to increase the duration of your Gunzerker to the necessary length for this trophy. Now you must go find a nice place with a ton of enemies. You will need enemies as one of the skills will increase your Gunzerker time for each kill. You might even want to do this in one of the Slaughter Domes as there are continuous enemies. That being said, once you are there, start up your Gunzerker mode with two powerful weapons, and go to town killing everything in site. As long as you last more than 90 seconds, the trophy will unlock once your Gunzerker mode has ended. Once you are finished, you can Respec your character at the Quick-Change Station to get your points back and spend them on what you want.

If you aren't playing as the Gunzerker, you can make this faster on yourself by playing with a friend if you have one that is level 50 and have them power boost your Gunzerker to level 25 on some strong enemies. Remember to help them boost their need players as well

A "Chubby" does NOT refer to a specific enemy in the game, it refers to a class of enemy that you will find on several different enemy types. The "Chubbies" are fatter stronger versions of the normal enemies, but not quite as powerful as a Badass Class. The Chubbies when killed actually give off some pretty damn good loot, so if you can find one, it's a good idea to take it out. The first Chubby I came across was in the Caustic Caverns near the entrance, a Chubby Varkid. This trophy will unlock once you kill your first Chubby of any enemy type, below I have listed all the Chubbies in the game and their most found locations for easier hunting.
  • Chubby Midget: Any place you find Midgets
  • Chubby Rakk: Any place you find Rakks outside
  • Chubby Skag: Three Horns, The Dust, Tundra Express, Wildlife Exploitation Preserve, Eridium Blight, Arid Nexus
  • Chubby Spiderant: Frostburn Canyon, The Dust, Caustic Caverns
  • Chubby Stalker: The Highlands, The Fridge, Wildlife Exploitation Preserve
  • Chubby Varkid: Tundra Express, Caustic Caverns

Tribute to a Vault Hunter
Got an item from Michael Mamaril

Michael Mamaril is a fellow vault hunter who passed away last year *pours out some voltage in his honor* Gearbox decided to include him as a NPC in the game as a tribute to the fallen warrior. Michael will randomly spawn throughout Sanctuary at different locations, usually in businesses. I found him in Moxxi's bar, and if I were in the game that's where you would find the Hoff...staring at her huge hooters, and as you can see from Powerpyx's video he found him in Dr. Zed's Clinic. His name wont always pop up above his head when you find him. When I found him he was "Sanctuary Citizen" until after I had talked to him and then his name changed. Whenever you talk to him, he will always give you Blue or better loot so it does pay to talk to him every time you can find him in Sanctuary. The first time you find him and receive a gift you will unlock this trophy.

Definitely an Italian Plumber
Killed Donkey Mong

Donkey Mong, is a Super Badass Bullywong that appears randomly anywhere in the Eridium Blight where you can find Bullywongs. You will know when you have found him, because he is the only Bullywong carrying around a barrel on his back. He uses the same attacks as all the other Bullymongs, which you should be used to at this point in the game with the exception that he throws barrels at you instead of rocks. The good news about Donkey Mong, is that you can take your favorite vehicle into all the areas he will spawn in so you can just sit in your vehicle and just blast the shit out of him without getting out of your car. Unfortunately, defeating him and all his other Bullymongs that attack usually brings on his older brother...King Mong . Once Donkey Mong is defeated the trophy will unlock

High Flying Hurler
Killed a flying enemy with a thrown Tediore weapon

Tediore manufactured weapons have a new reloading system in them for Borderlands 2. Whenever you reload one, you throw it like a grenade, and a new one materializes in your hands. This can be good, or it can be bad. The small explosion can hurt enemies, but you can go through a lot of ammo if you are like me and reload after each enemy you kill regardless of how much ammo you spent. The damage caused by the explosion from the reload is equal to the amount of bullets you have left in your gun, plus another set of damage for the gun itself. So if you fire off one shot, then throw it you will cause more damage. Now for the trophy, you need to find some Rakks. There are a whole bunch of them at the beginning of Three Horn Valley. Head there and fire off a round. Now wait for them to start their dive attack and aim up in the air in their flight path. As they start to get close press the reload button to throw your gun at them. If you hit one of them and they die the trophy will unlock.

Token Gesture
Redeemed 25 tokens

New to Borderlands 2 is your Badass Ranking and Badass Tokens. As you complete the Challenges in the game, you will earn points towards your Badass Rank. As the rank fills up the Badass Gauge, which you can view on the far right tab of your submenu, you will earn tokens. For this trophy you will need to unlock 25 tokens in the game, you don't have to use them, simply unlock them. Once you have unlocked 25 the trophy will sound.

One of the best additions to the game, the Badass Tokens. Once you have Badass Tokens, they can be traded in on one of 5 randomly selected stat increases. There are a total of 14 categories that are in the game for stat increases:
  • Max Health
  • Max Shield Capacity
  • Shield Recharge Rate
  • Shield Recharge Delay
  • Gun Damage
  • Fire Rate
  • Gun Accuracy
  • Recoil Reduction
  • Reload Speed
  • Critical Damage
  • Melee Damage
  • Grenade Damage
  • Elemental Effect Chance
  • Elemental Effect Damage
The Badass Rank is Profile Wide but is also Character Specific. This means that all tokens and your ranking accrued with your main character that you use, will carry over to new playthroughs you being with the other Vault Hunters and any DLC characters that are released such as the Mechromancer. Each character has a max amount of Challenges that they can complete, so if you finish every single challenge for say your Siren, you won't be able to earn any more Badass Rank with her, BUT the challenges will start over if you begin a new game with Zer0, so you can begin increasing your Badass Rank with him and add to your already high multipliers. The more tokens you have invested into the same category, the less of an increase in percentage you will see until you are getting down to .1% stat increases at high enough amounts of tokens. Even if you don't see a category pop up with the random group when you use a token that doesn't mean that you are finished with it....it will pop up again once you get other categories closer to its level.

What does it Mean?
I can't even capture it on my camera

This trophy can be unlocked as soon as you gain access to The Highlands during the main story when you are trying to get back to Sanctuary. Once you have access to the highlands, head to Aggregate Acquistion, which is the large Hyperion camp that is up on the hill above Overlook. Once you are there, battle through all the Mechs towards the end of the area. At the end of the large building on the left side, that has the bridge above you connected to it, turn to your left and you will notice a road made of rock heading around the mountain. Head down this road and you will see a canopy over a small camp below you. Jump down to this and Handsome Jack will start speaking. Focus the camera above Overlook and leave it there while he is talking and a double rainbow will appear. After it goes away, the trophy will unlock.

Unseen Predator
Remained in Zero's Deception mode for ten seconds straight

This trophy isn't very difficult, if you are playing as Zer0. If you aren't playing as Zer0, you will need to get to level 31 before you will be able to unlock this trophy. Either way, you will need to focus on the Bloodshed Skill Tree for the skills necessary to acquire this trophy. Once you are working on this skill tree, you will need to complete the tree to get to the Many Must Die skill to increase the duration of your Deception to the necessary length for this trophy. Now you must go find a nice place with a ton of enemies. You will need enemies as the skill will increase your Deception time for each kill. You might even want to do this in one of the Slaughter Domes as there are continuous enemies. That being said, once you are there, start up your Deception mode, and go to town killing everything in site. As long as you last more than 10 seconds, the trophy will unlock once your Deception mode has ended. Once you are finished, you can Respec your character at the Quick-Change Station to get your points back and spend them on what you want.

If you aren't playing as the Assassin, you can make this faster on yourself by playing with a friend if you have one that is level 50 and have them power boost your Assassin to level 31 on some strong enemies. Remember to help them boost their need players as well

Build Buster
Killed a Constructor without it ever building another bot

Constructors look exactly like the image for the trophy. The Constructors can create mechs to attack you while launching a massive missile strike against you that can kill you very fast. The sooner you can take out a Constructor the better off you will be. To acquire this trophy you must kill a Constructor before it can spawn ANY mechs during the battle. The way to do this is to shoot their weakpoint which is the red eye on the front of the unit as this interrupts the construction process. Head into the battle with your most powerful weapons, preferably a strong rocket launcher, and a Corrosive Weapon if you have it and take down the constructor quickly to unlock the trophy. The first constructor you face will be W4R-D3N during the main story, and he constructs so fast that you will most likely not be able to get the trophy on him. That being said, you will encounter several weaker constructors during not only the main story, but also during side missions so you will have several opportunities to get this trophy.

Well that was Easy
Completed the mission "Shoot This Guy in the Face"

One of the easiest trophies in the game. You can do this after you have completed The Once and Future Slab main story mission, or maybe even during. When you get to Slab City in Thousand Cuts, you will need to battle your way through a horde of Bandits to reach the Slab King. Head through the city and you will reach Broke Face Bridge, just before the Buzzard Factory. Head across the bridge, then head off to the left hand side once you get to the end of it and you will see a bandit by himself, who has obviously gone off his meds. He will also be marked with the yellow Side Mission exclamation point, to make finding him easier. He will ask you to shoot him in the face for a Side Mission. Yes, that's what he really wants. Grab your favorite gun and blast Mr. McFaceshot's head off and you will complete the mission and unlock the trophy at the same time.

Unlocked 10 customization items

You can customize both your current players heads and outfits by visiting any Fast Change Station you find on Pandora. You will start out with a set number of heads and outfits, but a you progress through the game you will find more. New ones will become available from completing challenges all the way through their final ranking, killing enemies as they have a random drop rate and you can even find them in the vending machines as the "Deal of the Day" around Pandora on occasion. Once you get one, head into your inventory and head to the loadout screen. Head down to the customizations and press on them to unlock them. You can also find customizations for your other classes even if they aren't on your current playthrough as customizations are profile wide and not just for the current game.

In addition to player customizations you can also unlock new colors for your vehicles that will unlock in the Catch a Ride systems.

Once you have unlocked 10 new customizations that weren't part of the standard game the trophy will unlock. this includes any preorder or game save unlocks, so if you have some of those to start with you might even get this trophy before you even get to Sanctuary.

Thresher Thrashed
Defeated Terramorphous the Invincible

After you have completed the game, you will gain access to the You Will Die. Seriously Side Mission from Tannis at Sanctuary. Once you have received the mission, you can engage in battle against Terramorphus the legendary Thrasher. If you played Borderlands 1 General Knoxx DLC, imagine Crawmerax, only worse. Taking this beast on by yourself isn't recommended unless you are level 50 and have extremely powerful weapons. Your best bet for victory is to get to level 50, Terramorphus will be at level 52 on either playthrough 1 or 2 regardless of your level, and then grab four friends of high level and then take him on. Not only will that make this battle more manageable as he won't be able to regain his health with 4 of you in the battle, but you will also gain better loot from him when he falls. Once you have finally vanquished Terramorphus the trophy will unlock.

Better than Money
Purchased 5 items from the black market

The Black Market is located down the steps next to the Bounty Board in Sanctuary. Look for the purple Hostel sign in the alleyway and you have found Crazy Earl's Black Market. This being said, the Black Market won't be open until you are about halfway through the Plan B main story mission in Sanctuary. Once you have access to the Black market you can use Eridium to purchase, storage and ammo upgrades for your character. This is much more convenient than having to find missing Claptraps to acquire backpacks, as you will receive Eridium randomly for defeating enemies, randomly in chests and as rewards for some missions. You MUST work your way up to the max upgrade by purchasing the smaller upgrades first. In other words you cant just save up 20 pieces of Eridium and by the largest storage upgrade for your backpack. You must work your way up each level one level at a time so by the end of your last upgrade for any group you will have spent 60 total Eridium to acquire all that products upgrades. Once you have access to the Black Market, simply purchase 5 of the upgrades available from Crazy Earl and the trophy will unlock.

Gave Claptrap a high five

Once you have finally made it to Sanctuary, search down the road from Dr. Zeds Clinic and you can find Claptrap nestled away in a corner. Talk to him and he will taunt you for being so slow getting to Sanctuary and he will also give you the Claptrap's Secret Stash Side Mission. Accept this mission, then turn around and find his stash right behind you. This stash is convenient as anything you place in it will be available for all of your playthroughs with any character. Once you have found his stash head back to Claptrap and turn in the mission and you will have the option to give him a "High Five". Select this option and use the when you re close to him and looking at his hand to melee him and give him a high five and the trophy will unlock. If you leave the area or take too long to give him the high five or he will leave and you will miss the first opportunity.

You will receive a second opportunity after you have upgraded Claptrap at the end of the Wildlife Preservation main story mission. From that point, you will be able to High Five Claptrap whenever you want when you approach him in Sanctuary

Did it All
Completed all side missions

There are a total of 109 Side Missions that must be completed to unlock this trophy. You can find Side Missions by looking for a yellow exclamation point on your map. This marker is where you will receive the Side Mission. Side Missions will unlock at certain intervals in the game depending on how far you are in the story, and if you have finished any Side Mission Prerequisites that are required to unlock them. Once you have completed all 109 Side Missions below the trophy will unlock. I have grouped the mission together by the location you receive sidequest and the quest giver. The Side Mission progress WILL NOT carry over to your second playthrough. With that knowledge, should you even bother with Side Missions on your first playthrough? The answer is YES, do as many as you can before starting your TVHM mode, then follow the instructions below to get the trophy.

Opened the chest at the bus stop in Fyrestone

Ahh the bus stop in Fyrestone. Seems like only yesterday I was stepping off the bus as Lilith to begin a new adventure on an unknown game on Pandora. We have officially come full circle at this point. You won't have the opportunity to reach Fyrestone until very late in the game. Once you have access to Arid Nexus: Badlands, head into Fyrestone and then battle through all the Hyperion Mechs following the path down the right side of the area until you reach the open part of the back area. You will know when you reach it, because you are going to get jumped by a massive Hyperion mech called Saturn. For more info on beating him, please see the Knowing is Half the Battle trophy above. Once he is defeated, find the only building out in this open area, that is the bus station. Head around to the side of the building that has a small room that has a staircase next to it. Use the railing to jump on to the roof of the small building, then jump up again the main roof where you will find this chest. Open it for some loot and a shiny new trophy and let the reminiscing begin.

[top]Vermivorous the Invincible - Legendary Secret Boss

So after some grinding Broken, LimeSamurai and myself finally got this beast to spawn. It seems the trick is to have as many Varkids alive as possible at the same time. The more Varkids that are in the area, the higher your chance of spawning a Veramorphus. There is also a rumor, that the Veramorphus will spawn better if you have a Varkid of every class in the area: Larval Varkid, Adult Varkid, Badass Varkid, Super Badass Varkid and Ultimate Badass Varkid. There are 4 unique character heads that can only be received from defeating Veramorphus, but for the amount if grinding it takes to spawn him and the amount of money everyone loses by having so many high level Badass Varkids in the area at the same time without being able to kill them off, it just doesn't seem worth it. After the battle, we received 0 of the rare heads, some good weapons, but not really worth it IMO. If you have done everything else in the game, I recommend defeating him once just for bragging rights.

[top]Elite Character Builds

This section I added for new players just starting out in the Borderlands series. This is my personal build of my favorite character as well as three other builds of experienced Vault Hunters who have put a lot of time into not only the Borderlands 2 game but also into the first Borderlands game. I have personally played the game with all of these Vault Hunters listed below and can tell you first hand that each of them know their shit when it comes to building an Elite Character for facing the enemies of Pandora. Use this as a reference when you are planning your builds for your character if you have questions about what upgrades are good to take on your path to level 50.
