[top]Tips & Strategies

Tips
 • If playing online make sure you collect the items necessary for the trophy related collectibles. If you are playing co-op and you collect 2 3-D Glasses and your friend picks up 3 more pairs the trophy will not unlock. The trophy will only unlock when YOU pick up the necessary collectibles.
 • Make sure you return Tannis the missions as soon as you collect the last of the parts that fulfill the challenge. This will make it so these missions go by as quickly as possible.
 • When locating the statues and playing multiplayer you must personally read every single statue yourself to be credited for that statue. If you are playing with other people and they read it, it doesn't mean you are getting credit for it even though the message from the statue will appear on your screen.
 • Supposedly you will receive better and more frequent rare drops from claptraps depending on the number of people playing with you. The higher the number, the greater your chances. If you are going to play with other people make sure you keep track of what you are picking up so your friends can reap rewards also.
 • The best method I found for collecting the collectibles is to wait until after the story and head back to the Hyperion Dump. There are two spawn points for claptraps and there seems to be a lot of them there so they will drop a few collectibles each trip. Simply go and kill all the claptraps and collect your items in any way you would like, than press start and Ecit to the main menu. This will save the items you picked up. Load your character on the same playthrough and head back to the dump and repeat this process. Exiting out and going back in will make the claptraps spawn faster.

Tourist
Found all 6 Claptrap statues

There is a statue in a 6 maps found in this DLC. The six maps are: Tartarus Station, Hyperion Dump, Wayward Pass, Dividing Faults, Sanders Gorge, and Scorched Snake Canyon.
The statues are pretty hard to miss but you have to read every one of the statues using to be credited for that statue. If you are having any trouble locating any of these statues, please check out the video in the spoiler.

Knoxx-Trap
Killed General Knoxx-trap

You will actually have the liberty of fighting Knoxx-trap multiple times throughout the game. You will get the trophy after taking him down in the mission: "Operation Trap Claptrap Trap, Phase Four: Reboot". This is the fourth mission given to you by Blake in Tartarus Station's lower level. Knoxx-Trap will be the first of four bosses you must fight in a row. His critical area is his head. For the most part he is really slow and should be able to be taken down without much difficulty.

Steele-Trap
Killed Commandant Steele-trap

You will actually have the liberty of fighting Steele-trap multiple times throughout the game. You will get the trophy after taking her down in the mission: "Operation Trap Claptrap Trap, Phase Four: Reboot". This is the fourth mission given to you by Blake in Tartarus Station's lower level. Steele-Trap will be the third of four bosses you must fight in a row. Her critical area is her head. She is very nimble and quick making her very difficult at times to hit. The best thing to do is to avoid her knife attacks and get a critical hit on her and keep the shots going. For some reason when you use any sort of machine gun and hit her with critical hits, she stops moving making her easier to take down.

Ned-Trap
Killed Dr. Ned-trap

You will actually have the liberty of fighting Ned-trap multiple times throughout the game. You will get the trophy after taking him down in the mission: "Operation Trap Claptrap Trap, Phase Four: Reboot" in the form of Undead Ned-Trap. This is the fourth mission given to you by Blake in Tartarus Station's lower level. Ned-Trap will be the second of four bosses you must fight in a row. His critical area is his head. He is very fast and you will be in shallow water the whole time so make sure you are careful and be ready to avoid anything he may throw at you. He isn't a very difficult boss to take down, just shoot him in the head until he falls prey to you.

Muerte la robo-lucion
Killed the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap

This is the final fight in the mission: "Operation Trap Claptrap Trap, Phase Four: Reboot". You will be brought back to the very beginning of the game where you first met the claptrap back in the Arid Badlands. You will watch an interesting twist to finish the game off and leave a suspenseful cliffhanger and meet your final boss of the game. Your final boss fight is sadly pretty easy. The only thing you need to keep in mind is it sends exploding claptraps after you so keep an eye out for them. You must hit him in the eye for him to take any damage at all. If you are having trouble you can shoot the turrets off of him so he won't be able to fire as many things at you all at once. Once you take the big boy down you will have to take care of a little pest. Kill the little claptrap however you feel suited and the credits will roll. Oh yeah and you will get this trophy also.

The Collector
Completed a crazy request for Tannis

For those of you who have played the Zombie DLC for this game, this is basically the exact same thing as the BRAAIIIINNNSSSSS missions only instead of collecting brains you will be collecting claptrap pieces (motherboards, wires, and gears). The first mission will ask you to retrieve 42 pieces, than 75 pieces, than 100 pieces, and finally 150 pieces. For these I recommend getting the missions and every once in a while go to the spots where claptraps spawn (such as the Hyperion Dump) and getting them out of the way WHILE you are doing other missions to avoid future grinding. You can also do these while scavenging for collectibles.

The Lubricator
Found 25 oil cans

For this you simply have to collect 25 oil cans. They are dropped by any claptrap located within the DLC and are dropped at random. These are pretty rare to come by but the best methods to getting these items is located in the tips section.

Bobble-trap
Collected 15 Claptrap bobbleheads

For this you simply have to collect 15 Claptrap Bobbleheads. They are dropped by any claptrap located within the DLC and are dropped at random. These are probably the rarest collectible to come by but the best methods to getting these items is located in the tips section.

It's so realistic!
Collected 5 3D glasses

For this you simply have to collect 5 pairs of 3-D glasses. They are dropped by any claptrap located within the DLC and are dropped at random. These are pretty easy to come by but the best methods to getting these items is located in the tips section.

What a party!
Collected 3 panties, 5 fish in a bag, and 15 pizzas

For this trophy you will need to collect a combination of items; 3 pairs of Pink Panties, 5 Clapfish, and 15 slices of Pizza. All of these items are dropped by any claptrap located within the DLC and are dropped at random. The Panties seem to have a mediocre drop rate, while the Clapfish are pretty common and the Pizza slices are a little more rare than the Clapfish. The best methods to getting these items is located in the tips section.
