[top]Tips & Strategies

I'm describing every level... so there is no need for tips other than this:
  • If something doesn't but almost work, try fiddeling with the placement of the different components.
If you are trying to figure them out by yourself these tips might come in handy.
  • Start always off by starting the machine and carefully read the objective.
  • Circular walls almost always indicates that an object should be placed there.
  • Power distributors is often used as a chord extender.
  • Don't be afraid to fail.
  • The loading screens can come with a few helpful tips.
  • If something doesn't but almost work, try fiddeling with the placement of the different components.
  • Try looking at amount of inputs and outputs of plugs, drive belt motors and places for ropes.

[top]Cheats, Glitches, & Exploits

These trophies can be done in any other. Here is a good guideline

Step 1: Complete Puzzle Mode

Step 2: Complete Challenge Mode

Step 3: Go into the level editor and get the last misc. trophies.

Solve your first puzzle.

Easiest silver trophy I've ever seen. Go to the first level in Puzzle mode in the "introduction" pack. Take the very first level. Here you just have to press to win. The trophy will then be yours.

Solve all puzzles.

This trophy unlocks when all levels in puzzle mode have been completed. You do not need to get all of the bonus nuts. For a guide to all of the levels go to "Perfect Puzzler" below.

Perfect Puzzler
Solve all base puzzles as perfect.

To get this trophy you do not only have to complete all levels in puzzle mode, but you have to collect all of the bonus nuts while you're at it. You can on the menu see if you have perfectly cleared the level if there is a golden puzzle piece icon on the level box in the level select menu. There is a total of 110 levels.

Here is a text written guide to all of the levels (with nuts):

Unlock all parts.

This would automatically unlock through puzzle mode. It would unlock by the time you complete all the levels in the first 5 chapters.

Solve all challenges.

Challenges are in a different mode, where you have a certain budget to buy stuff for to solve various puzzles. These are not that hard to solve, and you can do all of them in many ways. You do not have to think about your score. Just complete all 20 challenges for this trophy.

How to solve these are kind of different so let me give you some hints:
  • The game gives you start items, try to sometimes think besides them.
  • Don't be afraid to get abstract
  • The money amount doesn't matter as long as it doesn't run out.
  • Think simple when possible
  • Electrical devices are easier to maintain
  • Try to think of other uses for certain items

Build an own level.

You unlock the level editor after completing the "Rigid basics" episode. Start a new level, then do whatever you wanna do, but when you're done press and choose to save your game. Then the saving process is over the trophy will unlock.

A little wind blew in the snowy night.

Aahh cryptic. Enter the level editor. Press to get to the editor menu. Pick "Properties". In here go to the wind settings and choose either the third or fifth options (from left to right). Go back to the editor menu and pick "Visuals" this time. Change the season to winter. Under the weather options, change it to the rain option. Lastly below the weather options is the time of day options. Change the time to the leftmost option. Now exit all the menus and enjoy your nice background and a shiny silver trophy.

Launch fireworks for 20 seconds!

There is no level in the game, that allows you to get this trophy, so you have to go to the level editor. Plant a few boxes of firework. Place heaters close to the boxes. Plug the heaters into timer controlled power sockets, each set to a different time. The first firework will ignite and once that firework is almost done the heater should have begun the other firework, and then make a continuing chain like that.

Fastest Counter
Count one counter chip to 200 within ten seconds.

Another video for the level editor, since you wont be getting it in the main game. Here you need a counter (of course), an "and" chip and a "not" chip. Connect the "not" chips output to both of the "and" chips in put and the counter. Connect the "and" chips output to the "not" chips input.

Light the level with candlelight for 30 seconds.

Use the same tactic as in "Pyrotechnican". Go to the level editor and place a few candles, and then place heaters close to them. Connect the heaters to timers so when a candle is almost burned out another candle has already been ignited. Make a chain like that. Candle is lit up in a total of around 17 seconds each, so you actually only need two candles.

Twin Shot
Shoot two cannonballs with one cannon - at the same time!

This also has to be done in the level editor. Place two cannons and rotate the cannon itself (not as a whole, since you should not move the cart-part of the cannon) so it points upwards. Place the other cannon above the first one. rotate it so it point downwards, so both cannon points at each other. Now place to boards (it doesn't matter which one) around the upper cannon, so the cannon doesn't fall. Set the lower cannon to have a lit fuse at the beginning. Start the machine and PING, new trophy.

Create three different clouds within one simulation with one cloud machine.

Once again you have to go to the level editor. Place a cloud machine and a power socket so you can have power for the cloud machine. To difference the clouds you have to pull down the lever on the left side of the cloud machine. The easiest way to do this is to have a flaming ball over a plastic board and another flaming ball over two or more plastic boards above it. The cloud machine will start making a cloud. Then the lower flaming ball will have burned through the plastic board and hit the lever. The next type of cloud will be made. By the time the last cloud is done the flaming ball will have burned through the other plastic boards and hit the lever once again. Now the third type of cloud will be made.
