[top]Tips and Strategies

I am writing this guide with the Dualshock controller in mind. You can use the Move, but some of the buttons may be different. In cases like this just follow the prompts on the bottom right of the game. I tried the game with both controllers and preferred using the Dualshock.

1. Play through the game and enjoy yourself exploring this unique game.
2. Clean-Up. If you missed any trophies on your first playthrough then play through the game again focusing on getting any of the remaining trophies.

First Gate
Open the gate and enter the forest

Story related. Cannot be missed.

You will unlock this trophy once you unlock and go through the double gate near the beginning of the game.

Get rich while ice picking

When you get to the forest (after the first gate) you will come up to a tree with a face on it. Follow the prompts to tear away the face of the tree and to reveal an ice pick. Once you pick it up you will go to a snowy memory sequence where you are standing out on some ice. When the memory starts you will see a trophy under the ice then you will turn to the left to see a hand under the ice. Move back to the right to look at the patch with the trophy underneath it. You will need to use your ice pick to chop through the ice over the trophy. Once you break through the trophy will unlock.

The Maze
Travel into four rooms to open the maze gate

Story related. Cannot be missed.

The four rooms that the trophy description is referring to are different memory sequences which will take you through different doors. Once you have completed all four memories go behind the Shooting Gallery and head to the right to an ornate-looking gate. To the left and right of the gate are stone Roman numerals. These 4 stone numerals correspond with the memory sequences. Push all of the stone numerals in to unlock the maze gate and the trophy.

Return to Forest
Reach the final scene and finish the game

Story related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will unlock once you finish the game.

Complete Map
Draw the entire map by touching all white trees in the forest

For this trophy you will need to find and touch all 7 white trees in the forest to draw the complete map. The white trees are scattered throughout the forest, but they are located close to memory sequences and the other trophies you will be working on.

If you miss any trees on your first playthrough you can pick up where you left off by pressing Continue at the Main Menu. The trees you found won't reset so you can focus on looking for the ones you missed.

Throw a stone into the bucket, in the well

In the middle of the maze you will come to a well. Walk up to the center of it with the handle on the right. Press to pick up a stone. Center your hand over the bucket in the well and press to drop the stone into the bucket. It may take a few tries to get it right, but don't worry because you will have infinite stones. Once you successfully drop a stone into the bucket the trophy will unlock.

Rogue Throw
Throw a ball out the window, at the shooting gallery

When you get to the Shooting Gallery you will find a gun and ball on the table. Pick up the ball on the right first and throw it through the small window to the right of the cans. It may take a few tries to get it in the window, but you can try as many times as you need to as long as you don't knock over all of the cans. If you knock over all of the cans it will end the sequence with the ball and you will have to go for the trophy on a separate playthrough. Once you successfully throw the ball through the window the trophy will unlock.

Hands Clean
Approach the fountain without a bottle and touch the fluid

After you go through the first gate in the forest walk to the right and you will find a fountain. Follow the prompts to turn on the fountain then put your hand under the liquid. Once your hand gets wet the trophy will unlock. You should go for this trophy right away otherwise if you go too far and pick up the bottle you won't be able to get the trophy until a separate playthrough.

Listen to a jolly good record

When you get to the memory sequence with the boarded up door go over to the record player. Follow the prompts and turn the left stick steadily to play the record. You need to play it at a steady even pace. You will be able to tell if you're doing it correctly by the way the music sounds. Once you have done it correctly for long enough a message will pop up saying "This is a jolly good record isn't it." Right after that message pops up the trophy will unlock.

Play your favorite tune on the xylophone (ignoring the hints)

Near the end of the game you will cross a bridge and come to a large building. Once you get inside the building you will find a rope hanging in front of a box on a table. Follow the prompts to grab the rope and ring the bell. This will open the box and reveal a xylophone. Pick up one of the sticks to the right of the xylophone and hit any of the keys that aren't highlighted. Once you hit a few of the unhighlighted keys the trophy will unlock.
