Here's a tip for the Trend Setter Trophy play chapter 18 and kill every enemy you come across then once you get in the final room where there are statues of all the bosses you fought instead of killing the bare minimum and going through the gate kill all the bosses then finish the mission each time you do this you'll get over 50,000 exp for the style your using

I have some boss battle tips. This is for a Dante run

    Hell Vanguard
    -Weak to Beowulf

    Cerberus
    - Weak to Agni & Rudra
    - Cerberus' feet is a weak point because if it has taken enough damage, Cerberus will go down for a few seconds giving you a chance to land free hits on one or two heads. Cerberus will also go down if two heads have taken a lot of damage.

    Gigapede
    - Weak to Cerberus and Agni & Rudra
    - It's weakpoint is it's head. To deal the highest damage possible, wait above on one of the holes. When Gigapede is coming out (the signal is when there is light coming) jump onto it and land on it's head and attack from there. With Cerberus equipped, it can also knock off those purple lightning orb attacks. It will throw you off when it's body has blue lightning coming out but this won't damage you.

    Agni & Rudra
    - Agni is weak to Cerberus.
    - Cerberus is a great weapon of choice for this battle because it has the fastest attack speed. To save you from more trouble later on, defeat the twins at the same time. Keep their HP bar at the same level. When concentrating on either one of them, they will block your attack and try to counterattack, when this happens, keep doing Revolver->Swing->Revolver->Swing moves until they stop OR when they get staggered(the sword get's thrown away). When either one of them is staggered, this is your opportunity to deal the highest damage.

    Leviathan
    - Weak to Cerberus and Agni & Rudra

    Nevan
    - Weak to Cerberus and Beowulf

    Beowulf
    - His eye is a weakpont but only gives you around 5 seconds of landing free hits when he get's staggered.

    Geryon
    - Weak to Cerberus
    - When battling on the Colosseum, when Geryon is running around, Air Hike to his carriage and land free hits there. Jump back down when he goes to the center. There is also a chance to stagger Geryon by using Helm Breaker(Rebellion) when he is coming at you while he is running around but this is risky because you might just get damaged.

    Lady
    - Weak to Beowulf

    Doppelganger
    - Weak to Beowulf

For those who want to get all the blue orbs with Vergil, secret mission 9 with the last 2 carts are near impossible with just shooting swords but the easy way is to use holy waters so have at least 2 for this secret mission.

I just thought about the same, glad it's already commented here.

Very Hard has a bit of a bump up from Hard mode in difficulty standards. This difficulty will be more of a headache but if you are completing it as Vergil then you should already have an Infinite Devil Trigger Costume.
That sounds a bit misleading, perhaps it should be corrected.
