[top]Tips & Strategies

Buying items from the store:
  • I recommend highly to spend every red orb you possibly can into upgrading Dante's health as early as you possibly can then work on Devil Trigger next.
  • Be very rational with what items you are buying. Everything goes up in price each time you buy one of that selected item. If you go buying Gold Orbs early in the game and wasting them they may get too expensive for you to buy when you really need them like in Dante Must Die mode.
  • I recommend not buying ANY Gold Orbs, Vital Stars, or D.T. stars until Dante Must Die playthrough so they remain the cheapest they can possibly be.
  • Items bought from the store have a cap on how much they cost. Even though they may rise in price each time you buy one of that item they will eventually stop rising in price. All items have a 2,000 Red Orbs cap price which they will never exceed.

Checking Trophy Progress:

- You can check the progress of some of the trophies in this game.by selecting 'Extras' from the Main Menu and going to 'Trophies'. In this menu you will be able to track some of the trophies in the game that require numerous amounts of something or another to unlock. You can check on your # of Demons Slain, Number of kills using only Firearms, Demon Weapons or Angelic Weapons and other collectibles. If you are close to platinum and still haven't received some trophies requiring X amount of kills or such, refer here to check your progress.

Respecing your Dante:
- Once you spend an upgrade token on an ability or move you can remove it at a later time with no penalties to use that same upgrade token on another upgrade. This will give you the ability to shuffle around your skills until you have enough credits to upgrade everything.

[top]Cheats, Glitches & Exploits

Mission 3 Exploit:
- When revisiting Mission 3 on any difficulty after having already played it once you can skip the majority of this mission. When the missions starts take out the enemies that spawn. Next head into the street where Mundus will destroy the street in front of you. Normally you would have to go and get the Angel Boost ability to proceed but not in the case of a revisit. Simply just Angel Boost to the end and you get to skip a 'Dreamland' sequence and save yourself the annoyance of a few waves of enemies.

Glitched Trophies and known fixes:
Power...Give me more power!
- This trophy has known to glitch on people. They insert the last needed upgrade to obtain the trophy and the trophy doesn't pop. The only fix so far has been to respec your upgrade points. Take them off of every skill that you have them equipped to and try to re-equip them to everything. This seems to solve the problem for the majority of the people running into this problem.

One hell of a party!
- This trophy has know to Glitch two ways.
  • Unable to load up a Secret Mission - The only way I found to fix this problem when I encountered it was to take my save file and upload it on to another PS3 and do the needed Secret Mission on a separate console. This seemed to fix the problem when deleting Game Data did not. Other then this method there is nothing known yet that will fix a loading screen error.
  • Completed all Secret Missions and did not receive the trophy - Unfortunately some people have run into this problem and there is no KNOWN fix for it yet. The only thing I can recommend is to look under your stats and try to narrow down which Secret Mission could be causing the problem and retry that secret mission.

[top]Roadmap

Complete the game on Nephilim Difficulty.
- Go through the game for the first time and enjoy yourself. Learn how the game works and start to learn how the enemies work. As you play through collect Red Orbs and save them to upgrade Dante's Heath and Devil Trigger. Collect as many keys, doors and Lost Souls as you can to make progress towards their corresponding trophies. Also attempt the mission specific trophies and work towards other trophies that are going to take some time.

Collect the remaining collectibles.
- Since you can't collect all of the collectibles on your first trip around, use mission select to clean up any missing collectibles you have yet to collect. Once everything has been collected you won't have to collect them again you will be rewarded with a permanent 100% Completion on all levels.

Complete all Secret Missions:
- Now that you have collected all of the collectibles you have access to all of the Secret Missions. You can either do them from the Main Menu or do them from inside each corresponding mission. This will upgrade Dante's Health and Devil Trigger gauges to give you more help on the higher difficulties.

Complete the game on Son of Sparda Difficulty:
- This should be a straight run through to get used to the enemies new attacks and get a feel for how aggressive they are.

Complete the game on Dante Must Die! Difficulty:
- This is the hardest the game gets without special stipulations. Use whatever means necessary to make it through to the end of this game mode. You should only be focusing on trying to get through so it isn't really that bad. Once through you will be rewarded with Super Dante making the next two playthroughs that much easier.

Complete the game on Heaven or Hell Difficulty:
- This is an easy playthrough so long as you have already completed Dante Must Die! Difficulty and have the ability to use Super Dante. Blow through this difficulty as it shouldn't take but a few hours to complete.

Complete the game on Hell and Hell Difficulty:
- Similar to Heaven or Hell difficulty you shouldn't have much trouble with this difficulty besides the fight with Vergil that may become a headache. Keep your head cool and focus on defenses or you can just use Devil Trigger and blow through this difficulty also.

Complete the game on Nephilim Difficulty obtaining SSS Rank on all missions:
- By now you should have a good feel for the game and shouldn't have any problems going for a SSS on all missions. It isn't necessary to leave this one for last by any means but most people do. Do not use Super Dante and this feat shouldn't be too great.

Finishing Up:
- Finish up any trophies you have left which should only be to defeat 5,000 demons unless you got that through normal gameplay by needing to constantly restart missions.

Time to go to work guys!
Purchase your first upgrade

In Mission 1 you will collect your first White Orb. The game will explain more about White Orbs but they are basically used to upgrade your Dante. You can upgrade Dante either at a Divinity Statue or at the 'Shop' when selecting a level using Mission Select.

Once you upgrade any of Dante's abilities or weapons for the first time you will receive this trophy.

Come on Puppy. Let's go!
Defeat your pursuer

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get this trophy at the end of Mission 1 during the Mission Complete screen. At the end of Mission 1 you will have to fight a boss named Hunter. Hunter is the beast that has chased you around the whole level of Mission 1. Hunter can only be defeated by attacking his head where he was blown open by Kat. Use your limited arsenal of attacks to put a punishment on him as soon as you can.

Hunter has a few different stages to his fight. First part of the fight you will be forced to fight him head on. He uses very basic slashing attacks to try to defeat you but don't be naive because these attacks will still put a bit of a hurting on you as it does moderate damage with each attack, especially when he backs up and lunges forward at you with his knife. You can usually tell when he is about to attack as his knife will shine as if light bounced off of the blade. Always be ready to evade and don't be hasty with evading. Keep attacking him with aerial combos using Rebellion until he falls to the floor. Once he falls to the floor start punishing him with a various array of combos to try building up your Style Meter. Once you deal enough damage to him the second part will start.

The second part is the easiest part of the fight with Hunter. Hunter will jump up onto the Ferris Wheel and try hitting you will his grabber. Dodge his grabber using the evade buttons and let out a relentless assault with Ebony & Ivory. It won't take long at all to deal enough damage to knock him back down onto the floor below. Once he falls this is your chance to hand him another punishment without worrying about having to evade. Attack him with a variation of combos again until he gets back up.

Once he gets back up he will surround the area in a veil of darkness and use his knife as a spinning projectile. Wait for the knife to come in close to you and evade out of the way to escape damage. The knife will pass you and stop to come around for a second trip. Evade the knife several times until the veil of darkness lifts and you are pit head to head with Hunter again. Once the veil lifts Hunter will be using the same attacks as he did in the very first part of the fight so keep attacking him and if you feel confident enough in your timing rather then evading the attacks try to parry them to stun Hunter long enough to get in a real good combo or two. Once he takes enough damage he will fall to the floor again and be vulnerable for some more punishment.

Once he has been attacked enough he will head back up to the Ferris Wheel again and try to grab you once again. Deny him while attacking him with a barrage of bullets from Ebony & Ivory again until he falls back down to the ground. Once he is on the ground he should have little health left which you shouldn't have any trouble with depleting before he gets back up.

It's got to stay in the family
Acquire Arbiter

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This is a trophy for obtaining the weapon Arbiter. This weapon turns you sword into a giant Axe-like weapon. It is very strong but wields rather slowly. You will get this trophy in Mission 2 near the beginning. Once you start the mission keep going until you reach the part in the game where you come across a portrait of Sparda. A cutscene will ensue showing Dante looking at Sparda's picture. All of a sudden you are attacked by a group of Lesser Stygians. Take care of them and you will meet a new type of enemy. The enemy is called the Death Knight. These enemies carry shields and cannot be hit from the front unless it is in mid-combo. To take down these foes simply wait for them to attack and start your combo on them while they are paused trying to pick their weapon back up or you can simply hop over them and attack them from the rear. I recommend just attacking them from behind and just launch them up into the air and juggling them as long as you can to keep the combo alive. Once you have defeated all of the enemies you will be placed back in the room with nowhere else to go. You must go back to the portrait and another cutscene will show you obtaining this weapon. Once the cutscene ends you will be shown a few combos that Arbiter has and the trophy will unlock. You will now face 3 waves of Death Knights (which can be attacking from the front with no problems using Aribter) and Lesser Stygians.

Thing drives me crazy
Acquire Osiris

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This trophy is for acquiring Osiris. Osiris is an Angelic Weapon that turns Rebellion into a giant Scythe. You will get Osiris near the end of Chapter 2. You will come to a part where you have to follow a ghostly figure of a woman. You will follow this figure past a Divinity Statue into a dead end room. Here you get ambushed by some Lesser Stygians and some Death Knights. Take them out and head over to the portrait on the wall of Eva. It will ensue a cutscene and Dante will be given the power of Osiris. After the cutscene you will be shown some default combos for Osiris. The trophy will unlock at this time. Now the fun starts. A new wave of enemies will spawn, go try out your new weapon now.

Only kind of gift worth giving
Acquire the Angel Boost ability

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This trophy is for acquiring the Angel Boost ability. This ability is unlocked during Mission 3. Once you get to the part in Mission 3 where the road breaks underneath you and you have to look for another way across you will head back to the fountain area and have to fight another wave of Lesser Stygians and a Ravager. Once you defeat all of these enemies LIMBO writing will prompt you to "Come Closer". You will have to Angel Lift up to the second floor of the area where you will be pit up against another Ravager in a small hallway. Just make sure to juggle him in the air so that he doesn't have enough time to attack you. If he starts to glow then watch out because he will be looking to attack. Once he is taken care of and the black vines go away head onwards. You will come to an area where you have to Angel Lift several times and use a Demon Pull to bring out a ledge. Then you will have to jump across some floating platforms spinning around the top of the fountain. Once you land on the top of the fountain a cutscene will play and bring you to he "dreamworld". Once you get control of Dante here you will be notified that you have unlocked the Angel Boost ability and you will receive this trophy.

Flock off, feather face!
Survive the encounter with the Tyrant

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You get this trophy when you first topple a Tyrant. The first Tyrant you will find is the final enemy you must face in Mission 4. When you get to the inside of the Cathedral you will have to fight a few waves of enemies such as Shielded Pathos, Stygians, Ravagers, and Frost Knights. Take out these enemies as quick as you can. Once you have defeated those enemies the fourth wave will start. The fourth wave will consist of just a Tyrant. The Tyrant isn't an easy enemy to contend with but he isn't as hard as a boss. He can be considered the miniboss here at the end of the mission though. He deals a lot of damage so make sure to stay away from him when he starts glowing. His basic attacks are to swing forward at you, thrust at you, and a swinging backhand when you are standing behind them. To deal with a tyrant you must be patient and keep an eye on him. He will only take damage when you attack him from behind using your Arbiter which swings really slowly so don't go crazy with a long combo, try to keep it down to a few hits, then dodge and when the opportunity arises take a few more whacks at him.

He isn't difficult to deal with more or less just annoying as you have to dodge constantly instead of just combing him like most other enemies in the game.

Once you take him down you will be rewarded with this trophy.

This baby sure can pack a punch
Acquire Eryx

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get the Eryx at the end of Mission 6 after you take out the Succubus boss. The succubus takes part over four parts but the overall boss fight itself is rather easy. The boss' attacks can be easily detected and avoided. Before you fight you will need to realize that from the starting platform there is an Angel Lift point to the left and right of platform leading to another platform on either side.

Once the boss fight starts shoot at it with Ebony & Ivory until it starts to wind up an attack. This boss has a very few amount of attacks so detecting them will be easy. If the right arm glows red the boss will try to swipe at you from the right side and if the left arm glows red then the Succubus will try to swipe from the left side. Simply jump over the arm as it swings under you and attack the red spot on the Succubus' head with Rebellion until the red spot goes away. Once the red spot goes away start shooting some more until it tries to swipe again. Every once in a while you will see the Succubus lean back and either stay in that position for a second or instantly thrust her upper body forward and try blowing you off the platform. It is wise to stay on one side or the other as she won't be able to blow you off on the sides. If the Succubus leans back and sits there for a second use the Angel Lifts to get to another platform because she will throw up all over the platform and it will burn you. Keep slashing away until you take a full health bar away. Once you get her 1/3 of the way done, two cables can be seen coming from her back. Angel Lift to either the left or right platform and use your Demon Pull to pull out either of the cables and then get back to the central platform before the Succubus destroys the platform.

Once you have removed one cable use the same tactics to deplete her second health bar but realize you only have two platforms to go back and forth on. Once you have depleted the Succubus' health down to 2/3 you will have to go to the opposite side of the first cable you pulled out of her back and pull out the second cable. This initiates the last part of the actual fight. Once the last part starts use the same tactics as you did in the first two parts but realize there is no other platforms for you to run to. The Succubus changes out her ability to throw up all over the platform for a double fisted punch down onto the platform but you can easily tell when she is going to do this because both arms on either side will glow red prior to her starting the attack. Deplete her health one more time and then Demon Pull her face to get to the final part.

On the final part you simply need to use the Angel Lift or Demon Pull when you get the chance to finish off the boss. You should need to Angel Lift to the left and then Demon Pull the Succubus, Demon Pull the Succubus, then Angel Lift to a final platform and hack away at the Succubus' hands.

Once the boss is defeated you will be notified that you have unlocked Eryx. This is when you receive this trophy.

He's a demon too
Help Phineas retrieve his eye

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This is a very easy trophy to obtain. You obtain this trophy during Mission 8. near the end of the mission you will be brought down into this upside down Dome shaped room but be careful as the floor WILL break out from underneath you. Stay in the middle of the Dome shaped area and you will notice that there is a Demon Pull above you. use your Demon Pull and you will receive the eye you are looking for. Once you obtain the eye though be careful as you will be ambushed by Harpies.

The trophy will pop during the following fight.

The Harpy are annoying here as you don't have much time to stand on the ground besides in the middle platform because the glass making the dome underneath you will be breaking out from under you. The best way to take out these enemies is to Angel Lift the enemies to be brought in close enough to them to get a few good attacks in on them. Be careful though as Shielded Bathos will also make an appearance but don't worry as there are only two of those.

[top]
You are not a Human, are you?
Acquire the Devil Trigger ability

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will unlock this trophy early on in Mission 9. You will get to a part where you meet a new enemy, the Witch. Take out the witch with normal moves but when she goes into a bubble use your Demon Pull when a sword appears above the bubble to bring the sword to you and then attack the sword to send it back at the Witch causing the bubble to pop and the Witch to be vulnerable to a combo. Once you take down the Witch you will have to do some platforming with Demon Pulls and Angel Lifts until you get to your family's crest symbol. once you get near it a cutscene will play and afterwards take you back to the "Dreamworld".

Once inside the "Dreamworld" double jump and Angel Boost to the next platform. From there use the Angel Lift and then Angel Boost to the next platform. Once on the final platform destroy the statues' head with Arbiter. A cutscene will play and when it finishes you will have learned the Devil Trigger ability. The trophy will pop once the cutscene finishes and a pop up notifies you that you have unlocked Devil Trigger.

[top]
No talking!
Acquire Aquila

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This trophy is rewarded for acquiring the weapon Aquila at the end of Mission 10. Mission 10 is nothing but a boss fight against the News Anchor Bob Barbas. Bob isn't a tough boss persay as all of his attacks can be predicted before the attack starts.

Bob's attacks include:
- When the lights under him turn green he will shoot two lasers that cross each others path 3 times trying to scissor you between lasers. These can be easily avoided by simply waiting until it is about to hit, jumping over the lasers and letting them cross beneath you.
- When the lights under him turn white he will send out 1, 2 or 3 waves of circular blasts that start by him and spread throughout to the edge of the map. To avoid this attack look for the green square that doesn't have the television fuzzies in it and you won't be hit. He sends out a number of blast equal to which stage of the fight it is.
- When the lights under him glow purple he will send out lasers that slide along the floor in different thickness'. The later in the fight it is the more lasers and the thicker they will be. To avoid these simply jump double jump, or Angel Boost over the lasers as they pass underneath you.
- When the lights under Bob turn blue he will send out a direct beam of lasers from his face to the edge of the map causing constant health drain to you. To avoid this avoid standing in front of his face during the wind-up.

Once you understand how the attacks work you are ready to take him on. To damage Bob you will notice that there are three red beams along the floor. You will have to destroy the red spot on the floor at the end of these beams to render Bob defenseless. In the first part of the fight you only need to destroy one red spot, two during the second part and all three before they regenerate in the third part of the fight. Once you destroy the respective amount of red spots needed Bob's head will become vulnerable. Attack his head using Arbiter or Rebellion but watch the ground below. When the ground below glows, evade backwards to avoid being hit. He will do this twice before you have to destroy the red spots again to make him vulnerable.

After you take off his first health bar and his second health bar, you will be pit against a bunch of Stygian but be careful as there are many of them and you will not have control over the camera angle as you will be looking through the eyes of the reporter camera. Just keep attacking the Stygian to build up Devil Trigger, health and red orbs until the battle against Bob resumes.

Once you tae out all three health bars Bob will be defeated and you will be rewarded with Aquila. The trophy will pop when the pop up notification showing you Aquila's combos comes up.

[top]
More than just a few sparks
Acquire Revenant

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You get Revenant during Mission 12. Follow Kat and help her against the Federal Agents trying to kill her and Vergil. Keep following the mission until you meet up with Vergil and take out the Butcher trying to get to Vergil. Once the Butcher is defeated you will have to fight a wave of 5 Stygian and 2 Ravager, then a wave of 3 Ravagers and a Butcher, and finally a small wave of 8 Rage Spawns. Once you have defeated all of those waves of enemies the floor in the center of the room will break apart and you will see a bunch of Demon Shards forming. Use Ebony & Ivory to take them out before they hit you. Once they have been taken out a cutscene will play showing Vergil throwing Revenant under the barrier protecting him from the demons. Once the cutscene is over you will be shown Revenant and its abilities and you will receive this trophy.

Now that you have Revenant try it out on the Demon Shards that appear in the center. Revenant will take these things out in one hit each. Also use this gun to bring down Harpies fairly easily for a ground assault where they can barely defend themselves..

[top]
Whatever, Lady
Defeat Mundus' spawn

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get to face this, er, 'beauty' in Mission 14. Lilith and Mundus' Spawn are more manageable once you figure out how their attacks work and how you damage them.

First you will notice there are two health bars. The top health bar belongs to Mundus' Spawn and the bottom health bar belongs to Lilith. To complete the mission you have to deplete Lilith's health bar completely. The catch here however is that you can only attack Lilith when Mundus' Spawn's health is depleted. That is when you can yank Lilith out from inside the spawn to attack her.

Lilith doesn't have any attacks but the Spawn does. Keep an eye on the height of his arm when he winds up a swing. If he winds a swing up high he will be attacking high and same goes for lower attacks. When he raises his arm up that means he will smash the ground and send a shockwave out. If he raises his entire body backwards it means he will be smashing the ground four times and sending out four shockwaves. Every once in a while the spawn will summon a disco ball to throw at you. This can be deflected back at him.

How to defeat the Spawn and Lilith:
At the beginning of the fight head towards the side of the spawn and between its left arm and left leg you will see an Angel Lift point. Angel Lift up and attack this eye that is showing. Sometimes this eye will be covered in red and need to be Demon Pulled before you can Angel Lift to it or attack it. Once you have dealt enough damage to this part of the Spawn's body he will open his third eye and this point of attacking him will disappear. Angel Lift to his third eye and attack him there but watch for his swinging arms. Once you have dealt enough damage that eye will close and you will have to attack him on his left side again. Once his health has depleted he will fall over and a Demon Pull symbol will appear on his stomach. Demon Pull there to yank out Lilith and go to town attack her. It isn't necessary but you can use Devil Trigger to add to the damage being dealt to her to lessen the length of the battle.

Lilith will only stay outside of the spawn for a short time before being sucked back in so deal as much damage as possible to her before this happens. Once she is pulled back in repeat this entire process as the spawn will have regenerated all of its health. Keep doing this until Lilith's health is depleted and the mission ends.

You will receive this trophy during the Mission Complete screen.

[top]
You're not going to shoot me
Acquire Kablooey

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

This is the final piece of weaponry you will receive in the game. You will get this weapon and trophy during the middle of Mission 16. After completing a scenario where you must Angel Lift, Angel Lift to Angel Boost and Angel Lift to get through the door that gives you access to the second Skybridge where you must avoid the lasers for the Now my coats all charred trophy you are getting close. Make your way across the skybridge and enter the hallways ahead through the door.

Kat will be guiding you towards Vergil who is down the hallway to your right and in an elevator on the left down the hall past the Divinity Statue. Once you enter the little elevator that Vergil occupies you will e shown a cutscene where Vergil gives Dante what looks like an ordinary gun. He explains that this gun may seem ordinary in the real world but in LIMBO is really powerful. Once the cutscene completes you will be shown a screen explaining Kablooey and you will receive this trophy.

Now take Kablooey into the next set of hallways and destroy the Shielded Bathos with your new weapon.

[top]
It's time to finish this!
Help Vergil open the Vault

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get this trophy essentially for completing Mission 18. Mission 18 wants you to go pull start four different generators to give power back to the main area of the level. Each time you pull a lever you will be ambushed by different enemies. Once you dispatch the enemies head back to the center and take a different path but be warned that each time you pull a generator's Demon Pull after the first one you will be attacked in the hallways heading back to the center by Demon Shards, more each time you pull a generator. Once you have all four going you will have to complete a puzzle to light up the center circle. You will have to move exterior circles using Eryx's Stomp attack like you did to save Kat and Vergil in Mission 15. If you stand where you stood in the beginning of the level so you are looking towards Vergil's ghost in the back by the vault the solution is this:
  1. Stomp the top circle once.
  2. Stomp the right circle twice.
  3. Stomp the bottom circle twice.
  4. Stomp the left circle three times.
  5. Stomp the bottom circle once.
  6. Stomp the top circle twice.
Once you complete this puzzle it will end the mission and you will be rewarded with this trophy during the Mission Complete screen.

[top]
Cleaning up his Dad's mess
Defeat Mundus

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get this trophy for completing Mission 19. Mission 19 starts off with you and Vergil trying to attack Mundus together. It will be a platforming scenario until you make your way to the rooftop after Angel Lifting and Angel Boosting to get off the rooftop you are standing on where Vergil gets sucked into Mundus and he tries to light the ground beneath you on fire.

Once on the next rooftop you are ready to fight Mundus, or are you? To defeat Mundus you are going to need to know his attacks and where to attack him. His moves are rather predictable but some are hard to evade.

Here is a list of Mundus' attacks during phase one:

Left arm attacks (Arm on the right side of the screen):
- You will see Mundus wind up his left arm to get ready to attack. You will see on the ground where he intends to strike. Angel Boost away from this point to the right of where he will attack to avoid damage. His smash will send out shards to the left of his fist and a car towards the screen.
- You will see Mundus pull his left arm back and a blue spot will form in his fist. He is getting ready to shoot a fireball at you. You can deflect this back with Rebellion but start to swing as soon as you see the fireball release from Mundus because it shoots really fast and cannot be evaded in any other way.

Right arm attacks (Arm on the left side of the screen):
You will always see Mundus pull his right arm back but it will be hard to determine which of his three right hand attacks he will be using.
- One of which is he smashed the ground and creates a small damage field around him. Simply stay out of the small range this attack has to counter it.
- Another attack is where he smashed the left side of the screen and sends a wave of lava towards the right side of the screen. As long as you are on the right side of the screen you can see the lava wave coming and jump overtop of it.
- Lastly he has a triple smash attack that shoots up black goo after he smashes. If you get hit by any of the three smashes expect to be hit by the remainder of smashes. This attack is the reason I will recommend that no matter what the attack is going to be ALWAYS Angel boost to the right when he goes to attack with his arm on the left of your screen. If it is this attack he is doing you will want to Angel Boost away from the spot you just landed at as soon as you land otherwise you will get hit.

Miscellaneous attacks:
- Mundus will raise both arms and smash the center of the platform with both arms sending out a shockwave back towards the screen. Wait for his arms to be descending to double jump over the shockwaves and land between his fists.
- Mundus will lean back and start to yell. This means he will be spitting lava on the ground so head over to the right side of the building if on the first building and Angel Lift yourself up to the second building or lead to the left if on the second building to Angel Lift back to the first building.

Once you know his attacks you shouldn't have any trouble beating him. You will notice there are two health bars. Once for each arm. It doesn't matter which arm you take out first as his attacks will not change except for the fact he will only have either left or right arm attacks left depending on which arm you take out first. When Mundus smashes his fist to the ground you will notice it stays for a little bit. Attack his fist to deal damage to him. Once one arm is destroyed Demon Pull the eye that is available and get ready to attack his other arm. Once his second arm is destroyed you can Demon Pull him again and move onto the last part of the fight.

The last part of the fight is the easiest. He can still spit out lava if he wishes but other then that he only has one other move which is to shoot a set of three fireballs at you which are really slow and can be evaded by just running around. He will then yell at you on the roof, it looks like he is trying to attack but he isn't. This is your chance to go slash at his mouth. Keep slashing at his mouth until his health bar depletes. Once his health bar is depleted he will be gone and you will have complete Mission 19. This trophy will unlock on the Mission Complete screen.

The end? Don't bet on it
Complete the final mission on Human, Devil Hunter, or Nephilim difficulty

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed.

You will get this trophy for completing Mission 20 on any of the starting difficulties.

I recommend going into this fight with a full Devil Trigger gauge and the ability 'Demon Evade'. The fight always starts out the same he brings out a single summon sword. This can be knocked back at him to stun him long enough to get a few hits with Rebellion in. This will trigger a cutscene. next he will have more Summoned Swords. You can either parry the first one back at him or shoot them with Rebellion and wait until he tries a jumping attack and punish him once he lands. All in all each time he is hit enough it will trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene he will gain a new arsenal of moves to use against you.

It is hard to predict which move he will be using so always stay on guard and be ready to Demon Evade. If you have played any of the other Devil May Cry games you will be pretty familiar with his moves although he has a few new ones. Keep hacking away at him until his health reaches low enough where he spawns a Doppleganger by going into Devil Trigger. He will shadow Vergil and make him invincible as Vergil starts gaining back health. If you have no Devil Trigger attack the Doppleganger to get purple orbs. Keep attacking until the Doppleganger is dead. Now head in and get Vergil health back down low enough to where he summons his Doppleganger again and is kneeled down on the ground. The Doppleganger will try to prevent you from attacking Vergil. If you get farther away from Vergil and let the Doppleganger follow you, you can activate Devil Trigger and send the Doppleganger into the air. This is your chance to attack and finish off the defenseless Vergil. This activates the final cutscene. After the credits roll you will be brought to the Mission Complete screen where you will receive this trophy.

Looks like it's your lucky day
Complete a level without taking any damage

This trophy isn't nearly as bad as it sounds. Getting through a level without taking damage is almost mandatory on "Heaven or Hell" and "Hell and Hell" difficulties. You may get this trophy without even realizing it but if you find yourself struggling to obtain this trophy I would recommend playing Mission 15. Once you have played through it once you will know that there are only 6 enemies in the whole map and you don't need to bother with any of them. Instead you can simply run past them to help Vergil and Kat. If you do however choose to use Mission 15 be aware that falling off a platform into oblivion will stop you from receiving this trophy, they don't want you hit by any enemies or damaged from the environment.

The trophy will pop once you get to the Mission Clear screen if you haven't taken any damage during the mission.

Every hero has a weakness
Complete Furnace of Souls without taking damage from the furnace

You will have your chance at acquiring this trophy on Mission 17. This mission is set in what could be referred to as the pits of hell. There is constant fire spraying up from the ground trying to burn anything. The only safe place to be is on a platform. Don't be in the air jumping between platforms when the fire is spraying. Your best bet is to jump as soon as the fire dies down and stay on the next platform until the fire is done, then jump to the next platform. There aren't many tricky parts to this but there are a few. Keep in mind NEVER to jump until the fire is dying down. NEVER jump when the fire IS already down. The fire always follows the same rhythm so it can be quite easy to get the pattern down.

If you get hit by fire at all during this level you can press start and select 'Main Menu'. This will obviously bring you back to the Main Menu and when you select 'Continue' you will continue from your last checkpoint without a death penalty as if you would use 'Restart From Last Checkpoint'.

If you are having problems with this trophy then please refer to Powerpyx' video to get a better visual idea of when to jump and where to jump to.

Kill 10 enemies by pushing them into the Hurricane ride on Mission 1

This trophy does not need to be in one playthrough. You can get 4-5 while playing through the mission the first time and return later for the rest of the kills. In other words, this is a cumulative trophy. You will not be able to achieve this trophy without revisiting with Chapter Select as there are only 8 enemies that spawn in this fight.

In mission 1 you will come to cutscene after obtaining Ebony & Ivory just after finishing the fights on the boardwalk. Once the cutscene is over walk forward in the mission until you are shown your very first Lost Soul. Head to the right of the Lost Soul's resting place and head between the buildings. You will see a carnival ride spinning at different heights as it spins. Once you get to this area you will be attacked by 8 Lesser Stygian. What you are going to want to do is tap near the base of the ride to launch up your enemies. Either they will be smashed by the ride or they will fall back to the ground. If they fall back to the ground simply toss them right back up by tapping again. Make sure not to hold though as you will be launched up with the enemy and you run the risk of getting hit by the ride as well. Once you get all 10 kills needed for this trophy it will unlock.

A man with guts and honor
Reach the end of the descent on Mission 6 having killed all of the enemies

IN ORDER FOR ALL ENEMIES TO SPAWN YOU MUST WATCH THE CUTSCENE PRIOR TO THIS PART IN FULL!!!!

You have the ability to obtain this trophy in Mission 6. While it is recommended you do this on Human difficulty it can be achieved in Nephilim Difficulty as well. For this trophy you are going to need to kill all 10 enemies on your descent down the timed area in the beginning of the mission. On the first platform you jump to will be 1 Lesser Stygian. The next platform you jump to will have 2 Lesser Stygian. You will then need to Angel Lift to your next platform. On this next platform will be 2 Lesser Stygian and 2 Bathos. You will need to Demon Pull and the jump and Angel Boost and Angel Lift to the next platform. There will be one Stygian on this last platform. Finally once you cross with an Angel Lift to another platform you will have to defeat the last two Stygian. Once you have defeated all of these enemies head for the vault at the end to initiate the cutscene. During the cutscene you will receive this trophy.

Navigate the Sky Bridge on Mission 16 without hitting the lasers

You get your shot at earning this trophy in Mission 16.

You will come to a skybridge in which Vergil shuts off all the Lasers for you. This is the first skybridge in this level. The trophy will be rewarded for clearing the second skybridge. Once you get to a point where you have to Angel Lift, Angel Lift to a Boost Ring and then Angel Lift again to reach a doorway on a small ledge, head through the doorway. Once through you will notice you are standing in front of some lasers. This is where the trophy kicks in. Take your time and learn the rhythm of the lasers. The first sets of lasers you will need to double jump and Angel Boost through. You will want to stand pretty close to the lasers to have the Angel Boost boost you far enough to avoid the lasers at the end of each set. The third set of lasers is a pretty tricky one. You will need to jump and on the descent of the jump boost your way through the lasers. Once you get through the three sets of lasers you will have a long hallway in which you will be attacked by 2 Stygian and a Dreamrunner. Be careful here as you are not safe from the lasers yet. Keep the fight in the middle of the hallway and don't let the fight get close to the lasers. Once the fight finishes proceed forward until you come to the fourth set of lasers. Once you are at the fourth set you will need to double jump and boost through but make sure to take the time to learn the rhythm here because these lasers are the fastest lasers on the bridge. Once through the fourth set you will need to learn the rhythm of the fifth and final set of lasers as these are the slowest lasers in the hallway.

If you happen to get hit by a laser press start instantly and choose 'Main Menu'. Once at the main menu select 'Continue' and you will spawn at your last checkpoint without the penalty of a death unlike when you use 'Restart from Last Checkpoint'. Restarting from last checkpoint will make the game think you died and will save everything you just did, in this case, hitting a laser. There is a continue point after killing the enemies on the skybridge so you won't need to go through the first three sets of lasers again if you mess up and have to quit to Main Menu on the last two sets of lasers.

Where does the time go?
Complete a level with 2 minutes or less on the clock

You will have two options on how to obtain this trophy.

Method #1 - Mission 3
- After you have completed Mission 3 for the first time you will have the ability to Angel Boost which is the entire point of this mission. Start this mission up again and in the beginning take out the two Shielded Bathos, two Death Knights and the Ravager. Once those enemies are defeated you will have to go meet up with Kat. Once you enter the long street the street will break apart. This is when you are SUPPOSED to go back and learn the Angel Boost Ability, however you already know it. Angel Boost to the end of the mission and you should have a completion time of about 1 minute.

Method #2 - Mission 15
- This mission is the shortest actual mission in the game. This is the mission where you have to save Kat and Vergil numerous times. There are only 2 waves of 3 enemies in the entire mission and you don't have to fight any of the enemies. Simply keep going forward in the mission and ignore everything in between and you should finish this mission within a minute or a minute and a half.

Whichever mission you choose to obtain this trophy on is your decision but either way once you have a clear time of 1:59 or less at the Mission Clear screen you will obtain this trophy.

For Tony Redgrave
Kill 50 enemies using nothing but firearms

This is an easy trophy that you will more then likely get near the beginning of the game. For this trophy you simply have to kill 50 enemies with nothing but guns. When it means nothing but guns it means you have to start attacking them from first attack to killing blow with guns. You can transition between guns if you wish but be careful not to use melee on the enemies or else the kill will not count.

You can check the progress of this trophy in the 'Extras' Menu under 'Trophies' but isn't necessary. Every 10 kills or so you will get a little notification in the bottom right hand part of the screen showing you the progress as you play your game.

I recommend going for this trophy on any of the Devil May Cry Difficulties (Human, Devil Hunter or Nephilim). The enemies here have lower health and don't take nearly as much effort to destroy. If you finished your first playthrough on one of these difficulties and haven't received the trophy then I recommend going for this one on Heaven or Hell difficulty as all enemies will die in one hit.

Here are the weapons that you can get this trophy using:
  • Ebony & Ivory
  • Revenant
  • Kablooey
Once you have obtained all 50 of the required kills for this trophy it will unlock.

Kill 100 enemies using nothing but Demon weapons

You will receive your first Demon Weapon in Mission 2 and your second one in Mission 6. For this trophy you simply have to kill 100 enemies with nothing but Demon Weapons. When it means nothing but Demon Weapons it means you have to start attacking them from first attack to killing blow with Demon Weapons. You can transition between Demon Weapons if you wish but be careful not to use guns, Rebellion or Angelic Weapons on the enemies or else the kill will not count.

You can check the progress of this trophy in the 'Extras' Menu under 'Trophies' but isn't necessary. Every 10-20 kills or so you will get a little notification in the bottom right hand part of the screen showing you the progress as you play your game.

Here are the Demon Weapons you can use to obtain this trophy:
  • Arbiter - Obtained in Mission 2
  • Eryx - Obtained in Mission 6
Once you have obtained all 100 necessary kills for this trophy it will unlock.

Kill 100 enemies using nothing but Angel weapons

You will receive your first Angelic Weapon in Mission 2 and your second one in Mission 10. For this trophy you simply have to kill 100 enemies with nothing but Angelic Weapons. When it means nothing but Angelic Weapons it means you have to start attacking them from first attack to killing blow with Angelic Weapons. You can transition between Angelic Weapons if you wish but be careful not to use guns, Rebellion or Demon Weapons on the enemies or else the kill will not count.

For this trophy you simply have to defeat 5,000 enemies. This will be among your last trophies. You will net on average around 1,000 or so kills per playthrough meaning you should get this trophy without needing to grind.

If by chance you finish all playthroughs of the game and still need kills simply equip the Super Dante skin and head into Secret Mission #7. As soon as the mission begins go into Devil Trigger and shoot all the enemies. Once it says 'Cleared' press start and restart mission. Each time you will get 10 kills and this takes about 2-3 seconds per run through so this is by far the easiest and fastest way to grind kills in this game.

Here is a video of someone exploiting this method:

Another method of getting fast and easy kills is to start up Mission 10 on Heaven or Hell difficulty. Once you hit Bob once you will be brought to the news section where the camera angle is from the chopper and you get attacked by Stygian. Use Ebony & Ivory to keep shooting all the enemies as they spawn. Once you hear Bob say the line '.... rampantly spreading sexual diseases of the unholy kind.' it is your cue to press start and Restart Checkpoint. This will spawn you back at the beginning of the news broadcast to kill more enemies. Each time you go through the news section you should receive over 50-60 kills as the enemies spawn infinitely until Bob is done with his broadcast.

Sensational!
Gain a SSS Style Rank during combat

It is rather easy in this game to build up your combo meter to a SSS Rank since it doesn't decrease in value over time. This may seem rather difficult in the beginning of the game but once you get used to the game and have unlocked some of the later weapons you shouldn't have any trouble getting a SSS Rank.

Getting hit while performing a combo will result in a decrease in your letter value by two letters so if you have a SS combo going and you get hit you will knock the combo back to an A Rank combo so try to avoid being hit by know which enemies are around you and planning on attacking so you get either dodge or interrupt their combo with a Demon Pull, Angel Lift or gun shot.

Once you have obtained Aquila and the proper upgrades one of the easiest combos to get this with is to start a combo with Arbiter, then use Aquila's 'Buy In' technique to surround yourself in enemies and then jump and use Eryx' 'Stomp' technique. This should get you to an S or a SS without using only using three moves making it even easier to use other moves to build up the combo meter.

The combo meter gets fueled by using new moves in a combo that you aren't repeating. If you repeat the same move twice in a row it won't count towards the combo meter. You can usually get away with doing a move, then 3 different ones and going back to the first one so that it will count. Using Devil Trigger will also raise the combo meter easier but it will also make you really strong so you may defeat the enemies before being able to reach a SSS Rank combo.

You can get this as early as Mission 1 if you are good at dodging and can avoid enemy attacks. While needing a variety of weaponry makes it easier to achieve a higher combo it isn't necessary.

Here is how the combo meter from beginning to SSS Rank and the benefits it gives (multiplication of points earned during a combo):
  • Dirty x2
  • Cruel x3
  • Brutal x4
  • Anarchic! x5
  • Savage! x6
  • SSaddistic!! x7
  • SSSensational!!! x8

It's showtime. Come on!
Earn 1,500 Style Bonuses

This is a trophy that you will get along the path to platinum. Style points show up underneath your combo meter and are awarded for performing various tasks within a fight.

In order to get this trophy you will need to obtain yourself 1,500 style bonuses. You usually get 1-2+ from each enemy you defeat depending on the enemy and the combo you use to defeat the enemy.

Here is an example of some of the Style Bonuses you may see while playing:
- Flawless Kill
- Multi Kill
- Double Kill
- Good Devil Trigger Kill Streak
- 20 Hit Aerial Combo
- 50 Hit Aerial Combo

Once you have obtained 1,500 bonuses (they can all be the same bonus if you really want) you will receive this trophy. You should have this trophy near the end of your first playthrough or beginning of your second playthrough. During the course of the gameplay you will see a progress meter shown in the bottom right hand corner of the screen every 250 Style Bonuses you get. You can also track this progress from the 'Extras Menu' under 'Trophies'.

Spend 50,000 Red Orbs

For this trophy you will need to spend 50,000 Red Orbs in the Shop. You can access the shop either through the "Shop" menu when selecting a level or at any Divinity Statue inside any mission.

The first thing you are going to want to purchase all of the Health Crosses and Devil Trigger Crosses. Once you have bought all the crosses you would have already spent 45,000 Red Orbs so that means you only need to spend 5,000 more Red Orbs. I highly recommend against buying any Gold Orbs unless you are already on Dante Must Die! difficulty as buying these will raise the cost of buying more and you may need them on DMD.

Once you have spent 50,000 Red Orbs you will receive this trophy.

For this trophy you will need to spend your Upgrade Tokens to buy upgrades. To buy upgrades you must either go to a Divinity Statue in the game or select Shop from the mission select screen. You earn tokens from collecting white orbs from enemies and getting good Mission Ranks. The higher the Mission Ranks or Style combos the more white orbs you get as a reward.

There are a total of 79 upgrades you need to obtain so this trophy will take you more then 1-2 playthroughs to obtain depending on your skills and scores. You will need to buy all the upgrades for: Abilites, Rebellion, Arbiter, Eryx, Osiris, Aquila, Ebony & Ivory, Revenant, and Kablooey.

Dude, the show's over!
Find all of the keys

Keys are used in this game to unlock the Secret Doors found throughout the game. Each door is home to a Secret Mission. To obtain all of the keys you will need to revisit certain levels later in the game when you have received the proper weapons or abilities to reach the keys. I have marked all of the keys in the game starting from obvious checkpoints for you to look out for. There are a total of 21 keys to collect to unlock all 21 Secret Doors.

For a video guide of the collectibles please see Keeps getting better and better

Keys marked in Blue can be obtained first time through each level. All keys in red you will have to return for later.

Complete list of all Key Locations:

Mission 1 - 1 Key
Copper Key - This key will be located shortly after meeting the very first Lost Soul (that you can actually obtain) in the game, shortly after obtaining Ebony & Ivory. From the Lost Soul look to your left. There will be a set of broken planks. Take that path to the end and you will see a giant key floating on the farthest platform from where you started. This is the first hidden key in the game and will be used later to unlock a Copper Door.

Mission 2 - 2 Keys
Copper Key - From the start of the mission head down the long hallway until you dome to the open area with the stairs in front of you. Once in that room, head up the stairs and take a right up those stairs. Once on the top landing turn to the right and head to the door on the far side of the walkway and snag the Copper Key.

Argent Key - Once you get the Arbiter and proceed to the following room a wall with a Lost Soul on it will slam backwards and reveal a pit in the ground. Hop down into the pit below and follow the path until you get to the little square room before the first doorway down here. Look for the little Red spot on the ground. Go up to it and use your Eryx to smash through the floor below and reveal this key.

Mission 3 - 1 Key
Copper Key - Once you get to the part in the story where the road breaks out and Kat asks you if you can get across and you reply with "I will have to find another way", take control of Dante once again and turn around to face the archway you just came through. Head under the archway so you are standing under the bridge before exiting the archway. Look to your right and head down the path. At the end of the path will be a Divinity Statue and next to it on the right wall will be a wall with a red crack in it. Use Arbiter to break through the red crack to reveal another area. Head into the new area and up the stairs to find another Copper Key.

Mission 4 - 2 Keys
Argent Key - Once you get to the part where Mundus rips out the road ahead of you making it impossible to go any farther Kat will try to coax you to follow her downstairs. Once you go downstairs and enter the alley at the bottom of the stairs you will notice there is a path straight ahead and a path to the right. Follow the path to the right and watch as the wall with the Clown's face comes rushing towards you. Break through the clown's face with Eryx. Head forward down the alley some more to the end where it heads to the right. The key will be inside that little cubby to the right.

Gold Key - Once you get to the fountain area where you are introduced to the Shielded Pathos defeat the waves of enemies BUT STAY NEAR THE FOUNTAIN because if you get too close to the alleyway that opens up after defeating the enemies you will get sucked into the next area and miss the collectibles in this area. Hop on top of the fountain and face the direction you came from (opposite the Divinity Statue). You will see an Angel Lift spot on the wall far ahead. Angel Boost towards the lift point and use Angel Lift once you are close enough. Once you are on top of the roof, head straight into the room ahead. Exit the room on the left through the doorway and take that path to the Gold Key.

Mission 5 - 2 Keys
Copper Key - Continue through the beginning of the game until you get to the fight with the new enemy Hell Knight, a few Stygians and a Hell Knight, and finally a couple Shielded Pathos, Stygians and a Tyrant. Defeat all of these enemies to open the next area of the game, however do not go that way yet. Instead, from that platform you are on look along the right wall. You will see a bunch of boxes sticking out a bit farther then the others just before the gate you can see the key through. You can jump on the green and brown boxes of Virility. Once on top take the path behind the gate and into a secret little area. Drop down and grab the Copper Key on the left.

Argent Key - From the fight against the Frost Knight and Hell Knight, instead of heading forward through the mission you are going to want to back track a bit. Go to the edge of the area opposite the fight and look towards where the fight ensued. Turn to your left and notice the boxes ahead. Jump on the boxes to reach a broken staircase that leads up to a level up top. Once on top you will be on the far left of the room. Follow the path to the far right side of the room. You will see some Angel Lift spots from here. Angel Lift twice and then Demon Pull the black goo hiding an Angel Lift. Angel Lift to it and you will be thrown into a red container pointing down. Once on that platform jump and Angel Boost to the platform to your right. Continue until you get to the next Angel Lift, you are going to want to Angel Lift and then Angel Boost right at the end and hold it until you get to the platform ahead which has the Argent Key on it.

Mission 6 - 1 Key
Copper Key - As soon as you start this mission and get control of Dante for the first time turn around and you will see the key on a little ledge just below you. Jump down and grab the key.

Mission 7 - 3 Keys
Copper Key - After being shown Boost Rings for the first time you are going to come to an intersection of sorts. You can either go down the path to the left or one that is straight out (This is on the platform you come to after your second Boost Ring when you Angel Lift up). While standing on the platform looking at the road ahead of you look high and to your right, past the T.V.s and you will see some blue vines. Use Aquila to break the vines and Angel Boost and Angel Lift up. You will be in a room with a Copper Key in it.

Argent Key - Continue through the mission until you are shown a short cutscene with a new type of enemy. The enemy will run away into the room ahead. Keep walking down the path until you get to the Divinity Statue. There is a small piece of the platform that sticks out on the opposite side of the Divinity Statue. Go to the small piece sticking out and boost away from the Divinity Statue towards the platforms out ahead. Angel Lift yourself up onto the platforms and run down the ramp to the little room ahead where the key is.

Copper Key - Continue down the platform after taking the elevator down and smash through the ground where the Eryx crystal is. You will then be dropped into a fight against two Rages. Once you have dispatched both of these enemies you will notice the only way out is an Angel Lift. Use the Angel Lift but immediately stop once you get to the top. Turn completely around and face the direction you came from. You will see the Copper Key on a little platform ahead. Simply jump and Angel Boost over to the ledge and collect the key.

Mission 8 - 1 Key
Argent Key - After the fight you take part of in the open part of the train station, with the trains constantly flying by over top, a new path will open up on the side of the room. Instead of going down that path look at the original subway paths. One has two green lights while the opposite end has red lights. Take the hallway with the red lights and keep your eyes peeled on the right wall. You will come to a barred gate but the gate is open. Head inside and break through the blue vines. Head to the end of the hallway where the Argent key is sitting.

Mission 9 - 1 Key
Gold Key - This key is going to take some talent, a bit of luck and the ability "Leap". You are going to want to get to the room right after the "Dreamworld" where you are fighting 2 Rages in a room where each of the four corners has an elevation to it. You are going to want to go to the corner in the rear left from where you start since it is the highest of the platforms. You will notice there is a walkway on the second level of the area. You will need to wait until a Rage hops up onto the platform with you but remains near the edge. You are going to need to use Rebellion's attack to launch the enemy (hold it so you launch also), immediately in the air you need to hit enough times to actually send your enemy flying up even higher. As soon as your enemy oes flying you will need to Angel Lift and use the Leap ability to jump off your enemy. Once you jump off the Rage you will need to double jump and Angel Boost straight for the ledge. Once you finally make it to that balcony run to the end to find the Gold Key.

Mission 11 - 1 Key
Copper Key - After the fight in the circular room where you fight a few Shielded Bathos, some Stygian and finally some Ravagers a door will open up to a maze. Head down the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs make a right and then a quick left. Continue following this path until you reach a fork in the hallway. You can either go left or right, but you want to go right. Head down the ramp and keep going straight, don't turn until it is a right turn. Head up the stairs and you will see the key behind a fence. Make a right in front of the fence to get to the Eryx crystal you must break to access this key. Be careful though as grabbing this key spawns a Ravager.

Mission 13 - 1 Key
Gold Key - After the giant fight in the very beginning of the level Lilith will change the level from a nightclub to a level more closely resembling a level you would find in this game. Once the level transforms and there are no more enemies to deal with turn around and you will see a stage behind you. Head to the stairs on the stage on the left side of the stage (Right side if you are on the stage looking down towards where you fought the enemies). Look towards a platform floating to the right of the path ahead. There is an Angel Lift point. Use the Angel Lift and Angel Boost to the next platform. From there look to your right and Angel Pull to the next platform. The key will be to your right when you land on the next platform.

Mission 15 - 2 Keys
Copper Key - After saving kat and Vergil for the first time pull Demon Pulling the crate out of their way you will have to Angel Boost and Angel Lift your way back onto the car. They are about to smash into a set of red containers with an Eryx Crystal in the middle. Rather then saving them hop onto the red containers and head to the containers on the ground level to the left of the suspended red containers. Once you land on the containers head right and you will find the key snuggled between the containers below.

Copper Key - you will come to a part where you have to Demon Pull a bus to proceed farther in the level. Once you Demon Pull the bus you can hop to the ledge to your left. You are supposed to head inside the building but instead run around the outside of the building towards to lower left to get to a secret little area. Locate the containers in the corner of the room and climb all the way up them. Once on top of the containers turn around and you will see a key on a ledge above. Double jump and Angel Boost over to the key to retrieve it.

Mission 16 - 1 Key
Gold Key - After entering the elevator a second time you will be brought to floor 105. Once you get out of the elevator head to the right. In the next room head right again until you get blocked off by some black goo. Once the black goo is there look to your right and you will see a little cubby that is being blocked off by floating boxes. You will need to get past these boxes but patience is the key. Hold to be ready and let the bozes fly by. They fly by in a pattern, three fast sets and then a slow set. Wait until the three fast sets have passed and the slow set is passing. Once the slow set passes it is your chance. Jump and then Angel Boost through the opening to land on the other side. Once on the other side there will be a Lost Soul on the wall to your right, a Lost Soul on your wall to the left and a Gold Key straight ahead of you.

Mission 17 - 1 Key
Ivory Key - After the fight against the Stygian and Butcher then the Butcher and Witch, look to the archway on the left and notice the platforms outside of it. Hop onto the first and then the second. Now Demon Pull the platform in front of you closer to you. Hop on that platform and turn to the left. Demon Pull the black goo hiding an Angel Lift. Angel Lift your way up and once you land stop and turn to the right. Use that Angel Lift and Angel Lift again to bring yourself up to a little ledge on a little island. In the back of the area you brought yourself to is a set of blue vines. Break them down and grab the only Ivory Key in the game.

Mission 18 - 1 Key
Copper Key - From the very start of the level there will be four tunnels to choose from. Take the upper right tunnel until you see a hole in the path. Look down into the gap and to the left and you will see another tunnel. Jump down and Angel Boost your way into the tunnel to avoid falling down into oblivion. Follow the tunnel to the end but watch out for the Demon Shards. Shoot them and snag the key in the circular end of the tunnel.

Open all of the Secret Doors

Secret Doors are the entrance to this game's Secret Missions. In order to complete a Secret Challenge you must first find the corresponding door. Not only will you need to find the doors but you will need to have the proper key to open the door. Copper Doors will need Copper Keys, Argent Doors need Argent Keys, Gold Doors need Gold Keys and Ivory Doors need Ivory Keys. You will come across some doors you don't yet have keys to open so you will need to return to open some of the doors. I didn't mark which ones are obtainable without mission select because it will primarily depend on how you choose to use your keys throughout the game. Certain doors I used keys on you may not have keys for just yet so it is best left neutral.

Go into the corridor ahead. This corridor will branch in many directions. Take a right and follow it to the end but be carfeul not to step on the acidic goo on the path. Once you get to the end of this path take a left. Now follow it until you hear "Kill Dante" and shown it in LIMBO writing. Take care of the Death Knight that spawns but be careful not to go too far down the path or else a Ravager will spawn also. Once the Hell Knight is defeated go back to where you heard "Kill Dante" and look on the side of the hallway for a small cubby. Enter the cubby and break down the wall with the red crack using Arbiter. Head inside to find the Secret Door.

Mission 6 - 1 Secret Door

Once the cutscene has finished playing you will regain control of Dante in a new area. Walk forwards til the end of this area just before the small corridor up ahead. You can either go down the path to the left or one that is straight out (This is on the platform you come to after your second Boost Ring when you Angel Lift up). While standing on the platform looking at the road ahead of you look to your left and jump on the platform. Use your Demon Pull to rip the container from under the red container with the Eryx Crystal on it. Jump over to the red crystal and turn around. You will see a gated area above the platform you just came from. If you look all the way to the right of the gate you will see a platform sticking out. Shoot at them and get rid of them and head down the hall a bit more to make sure no one else will get in your way but DO NOT DROP INTO THE NEXT ROOM. Instead backtrack to the Divinity Statue and turn facing the way the Harpies were. Walk along the path while looking at the walls to your left and you will notice an open cage door. The dead end room houses the Copper Secret Door in the corner of the room under the archways.

Angel Boost to this platform and Angel Lift up to the next platform. The door will be to your left.

At the bottom landing you will see this Secret Door.

- Secret Door 19 (Copper Key Required) - Once you cross the second skybridge, the one that breaks apart as you are trying to run across you will get to another room. Free all of the Lost Souls

You will meet Lost Souls in Mission 1. There are 80 total Lost Souls you must collect throughout the game. Most of the Lost Souls are rather easy to find but there are a few that you will have to go out of your way for. I have noted each of the Lost Souls but not as if you were in the game collecting them one by one but rather as if you were looking for that specific one so read the description of where the next soul is before moving on from one soul as it may look like a large description of where the next one is but it may really only be a platform away. This way if you are only looking for one specific soul you still know what landmark you need to watch out for rather then trying to remember where the previous one was to navigate to the one you need.

For a video guide of the collectibles please see Keeps getting better and better

Souls marked in red cannot be obtained during your first visit to the Mission. You will need to come back with the right weapons or abilities to unlock these Lost Souls. Souls marked in blue can be obtained your first time through.

Complete list of all Lost Souls:

Mission 1 - 6 Lost Souls (3 obtainable without Mission Select)

Lost Soul #1 - After obtaining Ebony & Ivory and defeating the wave of enemies and viewing the cutscene of Kat look to your right and there will be a dead end. On the wall to the right you will see a red glow on a doorway under the sign that promotes Tokens and flashes "SPEND" when looking at it from different angles. To break through the red glow you will need the weapon Eryx. Break through the wall using Eryx to reveal the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #2 - After obtaining Ebony & Ivory and defeating the waves of enemies and viewing the cutscene of Kat head to your left and continue through the mission. You will get to a part where the game's story shows you a Lost Soul and explains what they are. This one is basically story related and should not be missed as the game points it out.

Lost Soul #3 - Continue through the mission past the Hurricane Ride and get to the point where you obtained your first Gold Orb by the carousel. Go behind the carousel and head down the little alley to the right. There is a Vital Star here for you to pick up if you haven't already. Look up to the blue objects in the air and use your Angel Lift powers to swing across the broken pieces of house to a small landing where the Lost Soul is.

Lost Soul #4 - Once you get to the part of the story where you encounter Hunter jumping through a mirror and a wall on the opposite side of you head into the newly opened area. Once in that newly open area turn and look at the doorway you just came through. On the wall to the left is another Lost Soul for you to free.

Lost Soul #5 - Once you get to the part of the story where you encounter Hunter jumping through a mirror and a wall on the opposite side of you head into the newly opened area. Once you have the weapon break down the door and proceed inside to find another Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #6 - Once you get to the part of the story where you encounter Hunter jumping through a mirror and a wall on the opposite side of you head into the newly opened area. Once you are in the new area face the left and look at the giant doll sitting in the electrical chair. Proceed slowly towards the doll until it gets electricuted. Once the animation is done head through the doorway on the left side of the doll and head into the circular room ahead. Once in the next room turn around and face the door you just came through to find a Lost Soul up above the doorway.

Mission 2 - 9 Lost Souls (4 obtainable without Mission Select)

Lost Soul #7 - Once you get to the hallway with the first Divinity Statue of the level, just past it is a break in the wall on your right. In order to obtain this Lost Soul you will need an Angelic Weapon to break through the blue needles blocking the door. Once you have an Angelic Weapon throw it at the needles to break them and allow you access to the room. Once in the room look on the wall to your left to find the Lost Soul on the wall.

Lost Soul #8 - Once you have obtained Arbiter and have completed the waves of enemies following, head through the only door there is to exit that room from. Once you are in the next room you will see this Lost Soul right in front of you, however, there is a catch. The wall will slide back from you revealing a pit. You will need to have the Angelic Boost to glide your way across to this Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #9 - Once you have obtained Arbiter and have completed the waves of enemies following head through the only door there is to exit that room from. In the next room you will see Lost Soul #8. When you try to get too close to it the wall will move back revealing a pit. Hop down inside the pit and turn around and there will be another Lost Soul on the wall just below the floor you fell from. Use aerial combos to destroy the soul.

Lost Soul #10 - Once you have obtained Arbiter and have completed the waves of enemies following head through the only door there is to exit that room from. In the next room you will see Lost Soul #8. When you try to get too close to it the wall will move back revealing a pit. Hop down and follow that path to the doorway past the Argent Key burried in the floor and head through the doorway and drop down into another pit. Once inside that pit just before hopping up the broken pieces of floor look to your left to find a small indentation of the hallway. Look to the top and see the blue object on the ledge above. Use your Angel Lift to bring you up to the top. Once on top look to the wall on your right and use an angelic weapon to destroy the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #11 - Once you get back into the Foyer and defeat the waves of enemies you will be shown a ghostly image of Dante and Vergil sword fighting as kids. They will go through a door and make the door able to be broken down with Arbiter. Break down the door and head through. Once you are through the doorway stop and turn around and face the door you just came in. Right above the doorway is another Lost Soul for you to add to your collection.

Lost Soul #12 - Once you break through the doorway using Arbiter that the ghostly images of Dante and Vergil sword fighting go through, head into the corridor and head down the path until you come to the blue vines. Break through the blue vines using an Angelic Weapon to access the room ahead. Once you are in the next room destroy the Lost Soul on the wall opposite the door you walked through which will be in plain sight as soon as you walk in.

Lost Soul #13 - Once you gain control of Dante after the "Dreamworld" where you learn the Demon Pull ability, head through the only doorway leading out of that room. You will have to drop down to the level below. There will be an Eryx crystal on the ground and a Secret Door to your left. Head through the doorway on the right and in the hallway a bunch of glass will shatter towards the middle of the hallway. Head into the hallway through the doorway and turn around. Look above the doorway to find your next Lost Soul above your head.

Lost Soul #14 - Whilst chasing after the womanly ghost you will come to a Divinity Statue. Just past the Divinity Statue will be another blue set of vines. Use an Angelic Weapon to break through these vines and give you access to a room. Head into the room through the doorway and turn around. Look above the doorway you just came through to see another Lost Soul. You can obtain this again after obtaining Osiris and heading back out into the hall.

Lost Soul #15 - After obtaining Osiris and heading back to the broken foyer a new path across will emerge thanks to the ghostly woman. Traverse your way across and break through the door using your Arbiter. Head into the next hallway and head to the blue vines ahead. Break through the blue vines and head through the doorway into the next hallway. On your right side shortly after entering the hallway will be a room across a gap. You will need the Angel Boost ability to make it safely across the gap. Once across the gap the Lost Soul will be on the wall straight ahead.

Mission 3 - 3 Lost Souls (3 obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #16 - Once you get to the part in the story where the road breaks out and Kat asks you if you can get across and you reply with "I will have to find another way" take control of Dante once again. Face the archway you just came through that heads back to the big circular area you started in. Look to the top left part of the archway to find another Lost Soul sticking out of the wall.

Lost Soul #17 - For this Lost Soul you are going to need the Angel Boost ability which you unlock in this mission. Once you have already unlocked Angel Boost and return from the "Dreamworld", defeat the enemies awaiting you below in the fountain area. Once they are defeated head back up to the second part of the fountain area using the Angel Lift. Once you are up top run around the corridor until you get to the area where you must use three Angel Lifts to continue forward as if you were heading up to the top of the fountain. You are going to want to Angel Lift off of the first one and then immediately Angel Boost to a small platform just to the right of the second Angel Lift spot. Once on that platform you will see the Lost Soul hanging just above your head.

Lost Soul #18 - While you should have the Aquila weapon to obtain this Lost Soul it isn't completely necessary but not using it will take you longer to obtain it. If you have Aquila you can just stand on the ground level and use Aquila at the blue vines up above and then simply Angel Lift up to the room. If you don't have Aquila you are going to want to head to the small platform in which you obtained Lost Soul #17. Once you are on that platform, turn around and face the direction you came from. Once you are facing that way you will see a little handrail on the edge of the platform you are standing on. Hop onto the handrail and double jump and Angel Boost on top of the platform holding the first Angel Lift that you used to get to the previous platform. Once on top of that platform turn so that you are facing the blue vines in the distance. Double jump and Angel Boost over towards the vines and on the way down attack it with your Osiris. With any luck you will land on the very edge of the platform and stay up there in front of the blue vines long enough to not have to climb back up and try again. If you don't make it all the way and only got a few slashes in with your scythe then head back up and repeat this process until the vines break. Either way once the vines are broken Angel Lift up to the hole in the wall and head into the next room. The Lost Soul will be hanging high in the air on the side opposite the one you came in.

Mission 4 - 8 Lost Souls (8 obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #19 - Once you start down the hall you will be spotted by a security camera and get ambushed by a new enemy called the Stygian. Defeat the wave of Stygians, Lesser Stygians and Ravager to go after this Lost Soul uninterrupted. Once they are all cleared out head back to where you started the fight where the path can either go straight or fork off to the left. Look to your right and you will see a path sheltered by an overhanging second floor. Head into that path and look towards the beginning of the level to see the Lost Soul on the wall.

Lost Soul #20 - Head down the pathway to the part where you have a fork on the left and the Lost Soul #19 on your right. Head down the fork to the left and keep an eye on the right wall. There will be a spot where you can use your Demon Pull to pull out a piece of ledge. Once the ledge is pulled out the Demon Pull icon will change to an Angel Lift icon. Use your Angel Lift to get on top of the platform and head to the platform on your right. At the end of the platform look up at the corner of the building and you will see a Lost Soul hanging high on the building. You will need to double jump and attack it to destroy it.

Lost Soul #21 - Keep progressing through the game until you get to the point where Mundus pulls the road out from in front of you so that you cannot progress forward anymore. Once the road is destroyed you will be persuaded by Kat to take the path straight ahead of you down the stairs, but don't. Instead turn around and notice the little alley that was behind you. Head up the alley towards the vital star. Turn around at the top and look at the archway of the tunnel you just came through. There is a Lost Soul above the opening.

Lost Soul #22 - Once you get to the fountain area where you are introduced to the Shielded Pathos defeat the waves of enemies BUT STAY NEAR THE FOUNTAIN because if you get too close to the alleyway that opens up after defeating the enemies you will get sucked into the next area and miss the collectibles in this area. Once the enemies are defeated hop up on top of the fountain and face towards the Divinity Statue ahead. Pan the camera to the right until you see this Lost Soul hanging off the side of the building near some windows. Double jump and Angel Boost over to the Lost Soul and use airborne Rebellion combos to destroy the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #23 - Once you get to the fountain area where you are introduced to the Shielded Pathos defeat the waves of enemies BUT STAY NEAR THE FOUNTAIN because if you get too close to the alleyway that opens up after defeating the enemies you will get sucked into the next area and miss the collectibles in this area. Hop on top of the fountain and face the direction you came from (opposite the Divinity Statue). You will see an Angel Lift spot on the wall far ahead. Angel Boost towards the lift point and use Angel Lift once you are close enough. Once you get on top of the next building look to your right at the corner of the building you are on. You will see the Lost Soul on the window opposite the corner of the roof you are on. Angel Boost over and use Airborne rebellion combos to destroy the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #24 - After dealing with the Frost Knights for the first time and taking out the waves of enemies that follow go back to the beginning of the area where you escaped the walls that were collapsing inwards on each other. Look forward at the three paths splitting apart. You are going to want to head down the right path until you get to a Divinity Statue. Once you find the statue look upwards on the ledges until you find the Angel Lift spot. Angel Lift your way up to the platform above. Once you are on the platform, turn around and look straight ahead of you and up. On the wall on the right hand side is the Lost Soul. You will need to double jump and Angel Boost to reach this one. Attack it in the air as many times as you can before you fall. If you fail to destroy it on your first shot keep jumping towards it and attacking until it is destroyed.

Lost Soul #25 - After destroying the first camera following the fight with the Frost Knights Kat will tell you to follow her. Follow her so she can give you access to Demon Pulling the stairs in the back alleyway left of where you started the area from. Rip out the stairs and the rip out a ledge from the wall on the right. Hop over to that platform and rip out the wall from the left side of the alley. Hop onto that platform and Demon Pull a ledge out in the distance. Double jump and Angel Boost over to the ledge. From that ledge hop onto the roof and look straight ahead and you will see red slashes on the wall. Use Arbiter to destroy the doorway and head inside. Once inside the Lost Soul will be on the wall to the left.

Lost Soul #26 - After destroying the first camera following the fight with the Frost Knights Kat will tell you to follow her. Follow her so she can give you access to Demon Pulling the stairs in the back alleyway left of where you started the area from. Rip out the stairs and the rip out a ledge from the wall on the right. Mission 5 - 6 Lost Souls (5 obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #27 - From the very start of the area jump to where you need to use your Demon Pull to rip out a canister where it says "Poison". Hop up on that crate after using your Demon Pull and you will have nowhere to go without using Demon Pull or Angel Lift. From here turn to your right and Demon Pull out the platform but do NOT jump to it instead turn back to the left (the direction you were facing when you originally arrived on that platform and use the Demon Pull on the black substance with the Pull marker. Once it has pulled away you will see an Angel Lift point. Angel Lift and then Angel Lift again to the next platform. Once on that platform look high and to your left and you will see another Angel Lift point ahead. Double jump and Angel Lift your way up. Turn around and look from the direction you came and you should see a platform with the word "Obesity" next to it. Double jump and Angel Boost across to that platform. Now Angel Lift to the next platform to get to the Lost Soul that will be on your right.

Lost Soul #28 - Continue through the beginning of the game until you get to the fight with the new enemy Hell Knight, a few Stygians and a Hell Knight, and finally a couple Shielded Pathos, Stygians and a Tyrant. Defeat all of these enemies to open the next area of the game, however do not go that way yet. Instead, from that platform you are on look to the left where there are no boxes but instead an open area. Angel Boost towards the closest Angel Lift spot and Angel Lift from there and then Angel Lift to the next available spot. Right in front of you while you are on that crate will be this Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #29 - Continue the mission until you get to a part where you have climbed a ton of boxes after the Divinity Statue and started getting attacked by a few Pathos. Walk on to the platform ahead and you will notice a Demon Pull straight out from where you are. Demon Pull yourself and the ledge closer to the structure ahead. Once you have been pulled closer walk straight into the structure and immediately turn right to see this Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #30 - From the fight against the Frost Knight and Hell Knight, instead of heading forward through the mission you are going to want to back track a bit. Go to the edge of the area opposite the fight and look towards where the fight ensued. Now turn 90 degrees to your right and follow that path to the very end to see this Lost Soul hanging on the wall.

Lost Soul #31 - From the fight against the Frost Knight and Hell Knight, instead of heading forward through the mission you are going to want to back track a bit. Hop on the crates and then hop on the broken staircase leading up. Follow that path until you turn a corner on the left. Once you turn the corner look up on the left wall to spot this Lost Soul hanging.

Hop on the platform following the stairs and turn around to see blue vines covering the entrance to a crate. Use Aquila to tear down the vines and then use your Angel Lift and boost through the boost rings t the opposite end of the container. Now look around for the next Angel Lift location and lift yourself up. Turn around and jump across the two small platforms to the last platform which houses this Lost Soul.

Once you are there immediately stop and turn around. Look high and to your right to see this Lost Soul just hanging there. Jump and destroy the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #34 - Once you reach the end of the timed area you will have to walk down a giant pipe to the end. Once you get tot he end a cutscene will play. Once you regain control of Dante you will be in a new area. Once you regain control of Dante do not move. Instead look to your left and you will see a Lost Soul hanging off the back of one of the pillars.

Mission 7 - 8 Lost Souls (7 obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #35 - Once you clear the entirety of the bridge sequence and have defeated the waves of enemies ending with a Tyrant you will come to the penitentiary and have to view a small cutscene. You will know you are in the right spot because the only path you can take is the Angel Pull to your left. Take that path all the way up until you get to the Eryx crystal you must destroy to proceed. Instead of destroying the crystal face it and turn to your left. You will see a small floating pallet which you can jump and Angel boost to. Angel boost to this pallet and destroy the Lost Soul just ahead of you.

Lost Soul #36- After being shown Boost Rings for the first time you are going to come to an intersection of sorts. Turn to the left (opposite the key) and you will see an Angel Lift point. You will see a gated area above the platform you just came from. If you look all the way to the right of the gate you will see a platform sticking out. You can Angel Boost over to that platform with a double jump. Once you land on that platform head into the gated area and the Lost Soul will on the wall to the right of the Gold Door under the flames.

Lost Soul #38 - Right after your very first fight against the group of Rages a window will open up giving you access to the hallway by the fenced off area. Hop through the window and turn to your left so you are facing the fence that stopped you from coming this way during the Rage fight. Above the fenced area will be this Lost Soul hanging off the wall.

Lost Soul #39 - Continue down the hallway past the Rage fight until you get to an open area where there is an elevator. The walkway will go straight and branch left or right. If you go left there will be a large staircase. If you go around the right side and follow it to the dead end you will see a Lost Soul hanging on the wall.

Lost Soul #40 - Continue climbing up the structure to work your way to the elevator. Once you get to the top, where the elevator is, you will need to Angel Lift your way up and turn a corner and you will see a couple of brown boxes stacked on top of each other trying to block the path so you take a right and head into the elevator but DO NOT HEAD IN AS YOU WILL MISS THIS SOUL. Instead go back to the edge where you Angel Lifted up and face the direction you came from and you will see a platform ahead with a bunch of cocoons on it. Angel Boost to that platform and look to your left. Angel boost to that platform and look to the left again to see another platform to Angel Boost to. Once on that final platform follow it to the opposite side of those brown boxes you saw before to see a Lost Soul hanging.

Lost Soul #41 - After taking the elevator down and hopping out, follow the path until you get into the room with the Eryx crystal on the floor. Instead of using that Eryx crystal look to the wall on the right as soon as you enter the room and you will see this Lost Soul just hanging there.

Lost Soul #42 - After breaking through the Eryx Crystal on the ground and being taken into the fight against the two Rages you will notice the only way out of that area is the Angel Lift in the corner of the room. Take the Angel Lift up and head down the hallway. Once you get to the front of the Divinity Statue in the room ahead stop and turn to your right. The Lost Soul will be on the wall on the right side of your screen.

Mission 8 - 5 Lost Souls (4 are obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #43
- In the beginning of the mission you will need to follow a set of Harpy enemies. Follow them until you get to the point where the hallway ahead breaks up and you have to Angel Lift to your left. Outside of the first archway you will see a set of blue vines on the opposite end of where you are standing. Use Aquila to break through the crystals and open up the room ahead. Jump and Angel Boost into the room and the Lost Soul will be hanging on the wall just in front of you.

Follow them until you get to the point where the hallway ahead breaks up and you have to Angel Lift to your left. Break through the first Eryx crystal walls and walk down the little path. Go up to the second Eryx door but do not break through yet. Instead look to your right outside the archway and there will be a Demon Pull symbol. Run to the end but beware of the train that will come crashing out. Once the train has gotten out of the way step out into the area. Now turn completely around and look at the door you just came through.Head right and keep looking at the wall and you will see the Lost Soul hanging there.

Start down the path to trigger the Demon Shard traps. Shoot at them and get rid of them and head down the hall a bit more to make sure no one else will get in your way but DO NOT DROP INTO THE NEXT ROOM. Instead backtrack to the Divinity Statue and turn facing the way the Harpies were. Walk along the path while looking at the walls to your right and you will notice an open cage door. Hop inside to discover a Lost Soul hanging inside the cubby.

Lost Soul #46 - Once you receive the eye and finish the following fight against the Harpy, numerous Angel Lifts will become available. Just below the Angel Lift points will have signs. To reach this Lost Soul you will need to jump to the other side of the wall to your right to the grate sticking out on the other side. Once you jump to the outer piece of grate follow it around the structure to the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #50
- After the fight against the Butcher enemy you will have to do a platforming to reach the entrance to the building above. Once in the building you will have to punch your way through a wall and smash through a floor use Eryx. Once on the floor below break through the vines to make another set of vines and hole in the floor appear. You can get the items from behind the other vines if you wish, if not then just drop down into the next room where there is a Eryx crystal on another door. Instead of smashing through that explore the room you are in for a little cubby containing this Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #51 - After your battle against a wave of Stygian and a Butcher then a Tyrant and a Witch S.W.A.T. members will break through the door ahead. You will go down the hall where they will break down another door and allow entrance into a circular room. Once inside the circular room look to the left to see this Lost Soul. Grab it while you wait for the next battle to ensue.

Head down the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs make a right. Run down to the end of the hall and make another right. Head as far as you can until it turns into a dead end. It blocks off the path going forward and makes you take a right. Shortly after making that right will be a red crack in the wall on the left. Use Arbiter to break through to enter a little hallway. At the far end of the hallway is the Lost Soul hanging in the air.

Lost Soul #55 - After the fight in the circular room where you fight a few Shielded Bathos, some Stygian and finally some Ravagers a door will open up to a maze. Once you break it head inside the room and head inside the following room but as soon as you step in the room don't proceed. Instead look to your left high on the wall to see this Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #56 - This is a pain in the ass Lost Soul to receive. This soul is located in the library where you fight Stygian and a Butcher. It is really high in the air above the archway where you fight the Butcher (Not the side you start on). There are two ways to get this one. You can either do some sort of aerial combo including a launch followed by a lunching attack with an Angel Pull grapple and hop it is within range of the Lost Soul to hit the Lost Soul while you are in the air or you can do the other method which I recommend as most of the enemies will die fairly quickly having already taken at least one or two hits from the Butcher already. The second method is to kill everyone but the Butcher and lure the Butcher as close to the wall on the opposite side of the room as the Lost Soul but on the same side of the room. Now run over underneath the archway and jump up and down like a lunatic in the middle. This will get the Butcher to try using his vertical projectile attacks to hit you. If the Butcher was standing back far enough and you were in the middle the projectile should have hit the Lost Soul and freed it for you. Just make sure to check to see if the soul has been freed before taking out the Butcher.

Once you land on the next platform there will be a wall directly to your right. The Lost Soul will be high up on that wall but be careful as there are two Stygian on that platform who want no part in your continuance of existence.

Lost Soul #77 - After fighting the Tyrant + Witch, Tyrant + Dreamrunner and Witch + Dreamrunner waves of enemies on the large circular platform and the fires die down, locate the numerous amount of Angel Lifts just past an archway. Angel Lift all the way to the top when it is clear. Once on top there will be a large rock to your right. Follow the rock around to see a Lost Soul on the opposite side of the giant rock.

Mission 18 - 3 Lost Souls (3 obtainable without mission select)

Lost Soul #78
- From the very start of the level there will be four tunnels to choose from. Take the lower left tunnel, the one by the Divinity Statue. Go to the end of the hallway until it comes to a big opening. Once you get to the mouth of the tunnel look to your right and you will see a platform with the Lost Soul on it. Double jump and Angel Boost over to the platform to get the Lost Soul.

Lost Soul #79 - From the very start of the level there will be four tunnels to choose from. Take the lower right tunnel. Once you get to the end of the tunnel, before hopping over to the platform where you Demon Pull the rings. Instead head to the left and hop on the elevated platform and then hop over to the platform with the Lost Soul on it just to your right.

Lost Soul #80 - From the very start of the level there will be four tunnels to choose from. Take the upper left corner. Follow the tunnel all the way out through the opening of the mouth of the tunnel. Follow the path until the very end and look down off the ledge and you will see the last Lost Soul on a small platform below. Hop down and destroy the soul to set him free.

Complete a mission with a SSS rank

This trophy will be rewarded at the Mission Complete screen the first time you earn a SSS Rank as your overall rank.

For more information on how obtaining SSS Ranks please refer to Jackpot

Too easy!
Complete all missions on the Son of Sparda difficulty

Before you can even attempt this trophy you must first play through the entirety of the game on Human, Devil Hunter or Nephilim Difficulty. This difficulty will unlock as a reward.

Completing the game on Son of Sparta shouldn't be too much of a pain for you. As long as you have completed the game on Nephilim the first time you really won't encounter much of a difference in difficulty.

THe only differences between this difficulty and Nephilim is that you will be facing the harder to defeat demons that you encounter at the end of the game at the beginning instead. Frost Knights will now have shields so throwing a few disc at them with Aquila is recommended to break the shields. When facing numerous Rages, if one is a normal Rage or a Ghost Rage you can use Aquila's disc to throw at them to take on the other Rage 1 on 1.

The enemies in this difficulty will become faster and aggressive. If you are good at aerial combos I would recommend taking out enemies one by one with this. If you are having any trouble refer to Devils never cry for more tips.

Once you have completed all 20 missions on Son of Sparda Difficulty this trophy will unlock.

Devils never cry
Complete all missions on the Dante Must Die difficulty

Before you can even attempt this trophy you must first complete all 20 Missions on Son of Sparda Difficulty and this difficulty will unlock as a reward.

Dante Must Die is the hardest difficulty the game has to offer next to Hell and Hell Difficulty. The AI is very smart in this difficulty and ruthlessly aggressive. The enemies in this difficulty have a lot more health then they used to and deal twice as much damage to Dante. enemies can also enter Devil Trigger, you will know they are in Devil Trigger by the gold streamer looking energy flaying around them. During Devil Trigger state an enemy can't be launched and cannot be Demon Pulled nor will they stumble when getting attacked so their attacks can still go unpunished if you are close enough and still attacking them.

Before starting this difficulty I highly recommend to have all upgrades and a full Devil Trigger Gauge and Health Gauge.

This is the first difficulty you are going to want to use Gold Orbs on however I don't recommend using them unless it is a boss fight or you have died several times in the same spot and are truly stuck. The game is rather lenient with checkpoints so if you die at the beginning of a checkpoint there is no reason to waste a gold orb. Save them for the Mundus fight and the Vergil fight if you can. Each time you buy a new gold orb the price of the next one you buy will increase.

Here are some tips on completing Dante Must Die! Difficulty:
  • Aquila's Round Trip: One of the best moves in the game. This move will bring all of the enemies closer to Dante making it so you don't have to watch all corners waiting for an attack to hit you. Once the enemies are in close they will remain stunned for a short time making it a good time to hand out some punishment.
  • Eryx' Stomp: This is another good attack. There are few enemies that can hit you while you are in the air so take advantage of this and Stomp as many enemies as you can. Using Aquila's Round Trip and then using a Stomp is a great way of dealing big damage to numerous enemies.
  • Aerial Combos: Aerial attacking is the best form of attacking in the game as enemies are defenseless until they hit the ground again. Keep attacking in the air and using Demon Pull or Angel Lift to keep yourself high in the air, close to the enemy being attacked and far away from all the other enemies attacking below.
  • The environment: Use the environment to your advantage. If there is a cliff or ledge you can knock an enemy off of, attempt to do so as this will possibly save you from death.
  • Harpies: Use Revenant on these guys as fast as possible to take their aerial advantage away from them. Once they are on the ground they can still use their spear attacks but are much easier of a target to hit. When these guys are flying over an area with no floor underneath them shoot them to destroy their wings and watch them fall into oblivion.
  • Witches: You can deflect their swords back at them but there are three so you either need really good timing or three lucky shots in a row. I recommend either shooting these or dodging them. Attack other enemies around to get the witch to pass her shield so you can focus on attacking her. Demon Weapons will deal the most damage so stick with those on witches. Another method to break the shield is to throw a few discs at the shield with Aquila. This will break the shield and either stun the witch or start to hurt her depending on the timing of the disc.
  • Tyrants: Tyrants are big but they don't really attack as aggressive as they could. Pro Tip 1 - To keep a Tyrant from attacking you keep it off your camera view. They will still walk around and try to walk towards you but if you aren't in their view they won't attack. Also Demon Pull them to the ground and attack them with Arbiter and Eryx while they are down to deal some big damage without being in jeopardy of death.
  • Dreamrunners: Dreamrunners suck alone but when there are two of them they suck worse. The best way to take these guys out is after they teleport. Keep an eye on both Dreamrunners and wait for them to teleport. If they teleport near the same time wait for the first to emerge and dodge its attack and wait for the second one. When the second one comes out parry it and lay into it using Eryx. If they teleport a distance of time from each other you can parry the first and start laying into it. If you keep an eye out for which one is teleporting you shouldn't have any trouble dealing with these guys.
  • Butchers: Butchers are big but they can attack at range. You can tell what type of projectile a Butcher will be throwing. If he puts his arms high to wind up the projectile will be in the air, if he has his low the projectile will skip across the ground and if they go to his side for the wind up the projectile will shoot straight up and down at you. The est way to take these guys out is to wait for them to use a projectile and go in for a close bunch of Demon Weapon hits or a good Trillion Stabs attack. After they use a projectile they must first recharge before attacking again. That is why they look to be starting an attack and nothing happens. Once they charge back up get away before they hit you with a melee attack. Keep doing this until their stomach turns red. Attack at a distance and wait for the Butcher to blow up.
All of the bosses remain the same. They use the same old attacks as they did in Nephilim Difficulty but this time do more damage. by now you should be able to take on any of the bosses without worrying about getting hit or dying.

Once you complete all 20 Missions on Dante Must Die! Difficulty you will be rewarded with this trophy and the ability to use Super Dante which grants infinite Devil Trigger.

This is what I live for!
Complete all missions on the Heaven or Hell difficulty

Before you can even attempt this trophy you must first complete Son of Sparda Difficulty and I recommend having already beaten Dante Must Die! Difficulty as Super Dante will make this entire playthrough a giant joke and take a matter of a few hours to complete.

Heaven or Hell difficulty works as follows:
  • Every enemy in the game will die in just one hit.
  • Dante will die from one hit whether it be from an enemy or the environment.
  • You get three Gold Orbs to use during each mission. When you run out of Gold Orbs you will have to start from the last checkpoint but you will get three more Gold Orbs.
Every single enemy in the game will die in just one hit so i recommend using Super Dante and your Ebony & Ivory as they shoot the fastest. Once you get to an area with enemies simply activate Devil Trigger and just shoot everything that is launched in the air. If you opt not to use Devil Trigger then enemies with shields will need their shields removed before you can hit them. Overall this is the easiest difficulty and you shouldn't have any trouble completing.

This entire playthrough should take you about 2-3 hours to complete. Once you complete all 20 Missions you will be rewarded with this trophy.

And welcome to Hell!
Complete all missions on the Hell and Hell difficulty

Before you can even attempt this trophy you must first complete the game on Heaven or Hell Difficulty and this difficulty will unlock as a reward. I also recommend that you complete Dante must Die! Difficulty to attain the ability to use Super Dante.

Hell and Hell difficulty works as follows:
  • Every enemy in the game has the same health as they did in Son of Sparda Difficulty.
  • Dante will die from one hit whether it be from an enemy or the environment.
  • You get three Gold Orbs to use during each mission. When you run out of Gold Orbs you will have to start from the last checkpoint but you will get three more Gold Orbs.
hell and Hell difficulty overall isn't that bad. By now you should know how each boss works and shouldn't have any problems taking these guys out. I HIGHLY recommend using Super Dante during this playthrough as when you activate it it will send all enemies into the air and you can Angel Lift from enemy to enemy taking them out in the air. If any happen to fall to the ground and regain their footing enough to attack simply deactivate Devil Trigger and activate it again. This will work on every enemy in the game with the exception of the bosses. but as I said before you shoould have plenty of knowledge on how to take them down as this will be your 5th or 6th time doing so although I still recommend using Super Dante on those levels as beating the snot out of the bosses in Devil Trigger mode will deal a LOT more damage.

This playthrough shouldn't take long or much effort if you are good at aerial combos and are using the Super Dante perk.

if you are having any problems with any of the bosses refer to the trophy pertaining to defeating each specific boss to read about their attacks and how to avoid them. Use your head and don't attack unless you know it is safe.

The only real trouble this difficulty should present is the fight against Vergil in Mission 20. You constantly have to switch on Devil Trigger as it deactivates every time you do so much damage to Vergil and make a cutscene play. The best way I found to defeat him was to use rebellion and start a combo off with a downward slash. Every time he creates his summoned swords take them out with Revenant. Dodge every attack he throws at you and only attack him off of his attack where he launches in the air and tries to kick you. You usually have enough time to jumping slash him into a nice combo to take you to the next part of the fight. When he starts throwing the spinning swords along the ground is another chance you can take to hit him. Jump and Angel Boost to him to avoid being hit by the spinning swords along the floor and slash downwards on him. If he happens to be spinning out a sword at the same time you will usually smack it back at him while doing this.

Once you complete all 20 missions again but this time on Hell and Hell Difficulty you will be awarded this trophy.

Jackpot!
Complete all missions on the Nephilim difficulty with a SSS rank

This is probably going to be the last trophy you go for.

All SSSs should be obtained during Nephilim difficulty only and not any other difficulty or they will not count towards this trophy.

How it works: Your ending score for your style during the mission is the base of your overall score. Depending on your time a level completion your score gets multiplied. If you earn 5000 points and earn a SSS in time and completion, time will multiply the 5,000 by 8 to become 40,000. Then the Completion will multiply 40,000 by 8 to 320,000 points for an end score so timing and item collection is imperative.

Using items during the mission or dying will cause you to lose 10% of your overall score per death or item used so try not to die and try not to use any items.

Using the SUPER DANTE costume will cut your end score in half so DO NOT use this costume.

You probably shouldn't attempt this until you have played through the game a few times to know the levels inside out to alleviate wasting time. In order to gain a SSS as an overall score you will need to perform good combos throughout the missions. The more points you score during the mission, the higher your scores will be. You do NOT need a SSS overall rank for each category to get a SSS overall score but the better you do the higher the score.

Here is how the end scores are determined:

Style - The more different combos you perform in succession the higher your score will go. You want to aim for high combo rankings during the mission to build this score up as high as you can. Use a variety of weapons as well as a variety of techniques with each weapon. Scoring a SSS combo in a fight will award x8 points for each move you make so getting a high combo and trying to keep it is rather imperative. The higher you score here the higher the score will climb. Avoid getting hit as getting hit usually knocks your style meter down a couple of grades and will cause you to lose points for nothing. Try to avoid using the same move twice in a row or even twice in the same combo as those attacks will get their point values diminished

Time - You will be judged on how well your completion time was in the level. Obviously the faster you complete the mission the higher the grade will be. Here is the table of how much each grade will multiply your Style points:
  • SSS = 8x multiplier
  • SS = 7x multiplier
  • S = 6x multiplier
  • A = 5x multiplier
  • B = 4x multiplier
  • C = 3x multiplier
  • D = 2x multiplier
Completion - This is an easy one to get up to SSS rank on all missions permanently. You need to collect all of the collectibles in the level to obtain SSS Rank. Once you collect a collectible once it is collected forever so as long as you have already collected them all you will permanently have a SSS Rank for each mission upon completion of the level. The overall grade multiplies the time and style's multiplied results. The completion multipliers by grade are the same listed under the Time section.

Here is a list of all the scores needed for each grade on each mission:

Complete all of the Secret Missions

There are 21 Secret Missions to complete. The way you unlock Secret Missions to complete is to simply find all the hidden keys in the game and use them on the secret doors. Please see the corresponding trophies to locate each key and door.

Each Secret Mission has a different colored level corresponding with it. Once you have opened the secret door using the hidden keys it will unlock for you to complete from the Main Menu, so completing them during the Mission is not necessary but can be done if you so wish.

I recommend completing these Secret Missions once you have completed the game on your first playthrough as opposed to IN the mission so that you have the abilities needed and weapons needed to make some of the mission even easier.

Here is a list of all the Secret Missions in the game and a strategy for completing them.

Secret Mission #1 - Air Brawl
  • Location in story: Mission 1
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage in the air.
  • Time Limit: 1:20
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This is an easy Secret Mission. You will need to kill 5 Lesser Stygian with aerial combos. The enemies do not need to be killed in one comb so no need to worry about that. I recommend just using your Rebellion here. Simply use to launch yourself and the enemy up into the air and initiate a combo. If you have Demon Pull or Angel Lift use them after launching an enemy to bring you to them or them to you to continue your aerial assault. You will have 1 minute and 20 seconds to kill all enemies which is more then enough.
Secret Mission #2 - Simple Traversal
  • Location in story: Mission 4
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Reach the goal within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 1:00
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this Secret Mission you will simply have to do some minor platforming from one end to the finish line. The time they allow you to do this is rather lenient and should be able to be completed well before the time expires. You will have enough time to fall several times and still complete the mission. If you don't fall or mess up in any way you should have about 35 seconds left on the clock at the end. A LOT of time to play with. You have to complete this race within 1 minute but it won't take you nearly that long.
Secret Mission #3 - Simple Eradication
  • Location in story: Mission 2
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 1:00
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this mission you will have to defeat 6 Lesser Stygian within 1 minute. There isn't much to worry about in this Secret Mission and should be able to be completed within the time frame without any problems at all. Be on the lookout for enemy attacks while you attack enemies. The best weapon I find for this one is Aquila as it attacks enemies within a 360 degree range. Feel free to build up a nice Stylish combo to obtain more red orbs in this easy Secret Mission.
Secret Mission #4 - Demonic Conflict
  • Location in story: Mission 5
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage from Demon Weapons.
  • Time Limit: 1:20
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this secret mission I recommend using Eryx since Arbiter swings can take a bit of time to pull off. You will need to defeat 2 Shielded Bathos and 3 Hell Knights. You have 1 minute and 20 seconds to complete this challenge. I first recommend taking out the Bathos up in the air as they can become quite annoying at times. Simply Demon Pull them twice and punish them with Eryx or a single swing of Arbiter. This will take care of 2/5 of the enemies. Now you can freely attack the Hell Knights without worrying about any bombs on the floor. You can opt for higher damage with Arbiter or quicker kills with Eryx. Simply hit them with a nice Eryx combo and drag them back to you after they have launched using your Demon Pull, then punish them some more until they are defeated. You can work on these enemies one at a time if you wish to avoid getting hit by a close enemy while you are attacking another.
Secret Mission #5 - Angelic Warfare
  • Location in story: Mission 7
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage from Angelic Weapons.
  • Time Limit: 1:20
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this Secret Mission you will have to dispatch 10 Lesser Stygian within 1 minute and 20 seconds. Since you can only use your Angelic weapons here I recommend using Aquila at the start. Use your combos to deal out damage to all or as many of the enemies at once. Keep at them using this weapon until there are only a few more left. Once you have about 6-7 of the enemies killed it will be quicker to take them out using Osiris. Since there aren't as many of them anymore you can focus on killing one or two at a time instead of trying to focus on an entire group.
Secret Mission #6 - Rapid Descent
  • Location in story: Mission 6
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Reach all of the goals within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 1:20
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This one is tough to explain. You will have to jump between platforms with giant checkered print cylinders on them. The only thing I can do to help try to make this easy is to note out some of the checkpoints you may not realize are there. Right at the start turn right and there is one. There is a platform on the right side of the level with 2 checkpoints on it but you will more then likely see them along the way. The best tip I can give is to work your way from top to bottom and move side to side along the screen to collect the checkpoints as opposed to heading down to the bottom and then back up. If for some reason you miss one at the top and you are at the bottom fall into oblivion and you will respawn up top. You should be able to complete this with about 10-15 seconds left on the clock so there is a little bit of room for minor error here and to look around a bit.
Secret Mission #7 - A Taste of Heaven
  • Location in story: Mission 8
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies die in one shot.
  • Time Limit: 1:20
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this mission you will have to defeat 3 Shielded Pathos and 8 Death Knights. You will die if you get hit once in this challenge so make sure to keep your finger on that evade button. I recommend going after the 3 Shielded Pathos first as they have ranged attacks that can sometimes be rather difficult to evade. Start by demon pulling their shields and either Demon Pulling them to you for melee or attempting to shoot them with any of your guns. Either way once the Pathos have been dispatched you can worry about the 8 Hell Knights on the platform with you. The easiest way to take these guys out is to get away from the group of them and Demon Pull their shield, this will stun them and leave them open for death. Simply Demon Pull, Shoot with a gun, and get to somewhere safe before you get attacked. The 1 minute and 20 seconds they give you for this challenge is a rather generous time limit and you shouldn't need that long even if playing it safe like this method.
Secret Mission #8 - Stylish Victory
  • Location in story: Mission 2
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Gain an S Rank within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 2:00
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this mission you just need to get an S Ranked combo. It isn't that hard and you have inifinte waves of enemies to destroy. Three enemies will be on the map at all times and when you defeat one another one comes. I recommend starting your combo out the right way and build up a good base with a couple of swings from Arbiter. This will give you about a B or sometimes even an A Ranked combo to start with. If you have the Rebellion attack called Trillion Stabs I would use that on one or two enemies grouped together to give yourself some more style points. Try not to get hit as your combo rank will go down when you get hit aking it harder to get the combo within the time frame as your moves will be worth less. When you use those two moves you should only need to perform a few aerial combos or combos with Eryx or an Angelic Weapon to get your Rank bumped up to an S.
Secret Mission #9 - Bait and Switch
  • Location in story: Mission 16
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Devil Trigger Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage when the demon evade damage bonus is active.
  • Time Limit: 1:30
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This is another easy Secret Mission. You will however need the Demon Evade ability unlocked but I recommend unlocking Demon Evade Level 2 as it will make the mission go by even faster. To Demon Evade you will have to wait til just before the enemies attack is going to hit you and simply press + . If done correctly your arms will engulf in flames. You are now in Demon Evade damage bonus mode. Now simply hack away at the enemies until they are gone or your Demon Evade bonus wears off. There are only 3 Lesser Stygian to deal with here so don't worry about the time. You should be able to complete this challenge by Demon Evading once or maybe twice if needed.
Secret Mission #10 - The Power Within
  • Location in story: Mission 11
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies before Dante's Devil Trigger expires. Each enemy killed restores some of Dante's Devil Trigger.
  • Time Limit: Based on your Devil Trigger
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: The cheapest and easiest way to go about this one is to simply start the mission and Demon Pull your enemies to you. Once they are near you just hack them apart using Rebellion. There are 9 enemies you must defeat and using the Angel Lift to navigate through them all and defeat the enemies with aerial combos can become quite tedious. Simply take out the enemies one by one and you shouldn't need to worry about running out of Devil Trigger.
Secret Mission #11 - What Goes Around
  • Location in story: Mission 3
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage from other enemies attacks.
  • Time Limit: 1:10
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This mission isn't that bad. You will be pit up against a wave of 4 enemies. You will need to make them attack each other and themselves to get through this mission. You will be fighting 2 Bathos and 2 Lesser Stygian. What you want to do is run over to the Lesser Stygian first and let the Bathos throw their bombs at the ground. Evade the bombs but make sure that the Lesser Stygian are close enough to be hit by them. It will take about 3-4 bombs to kill the Lesser Stygian so try to get them close to save time. Once the Lesser Stygian are taken out you will have to do a bit of work. Let the Bathos throw their bombs at you but you are going to wnt to deflect the bombs right back at them by attacking the bombs as they fly towards you. The Bathos are usually within close enough proximity to each other that they both get hit by the 1 bomb so it should only take 2-3 bombs to take them both out and complete the mission.
Secret Mission #12 - Moderate Traversal
  • Location in story: Mission 8
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Reach the goal within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 1:30
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This is another race to the end of the level. They are generous with the time limit again and gives you room for up to three errors. The only tricky part comes at the end when you have to Angel Lift and then Demon Pull the next Angel Lift in position twice. Other then that it is just moderate climbing that you should be used to having already beaten the game. The rest is skill on your part.
Secret Mission #13 - Flawless Conquest
  • Location in story: Mission 4
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies without taking damage.
  • Time Limit: N/A
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this mission you are going to need to defeat 5 enemies without taking any damage at all. This will be good practice for Hell and Hell difficulty. The 5 enemies are as follows: 2 Shielded Bathos, 2 Frost Knights and 1 Ravager. I recommend taking out the Shielded Bathos first by pulling their shields and then pulling them to you to kill so you can watch the other enemies. Once they are taken out move onto the Ravager but watch out for the Frost Knights. If they freeze you you won't die but you will be vulnerable to attack. Focus on the Ravager as he is the next deadly enemy in this one and once he is taken out you can focus on the Frost Knights. To take out the Frost Knights use Aquila's attack to stun one of them while you attack the other. While attacking if they are close together I recommend Aquila but if you are stunning one and attacking the other use Osiris as that will deal more damage. Take them out before they have a chance to even think about attacking back to complete this challenge.
Secret Mission #14 - Colossal Triumph
  • Location in story: Mission 18
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Devil Trigger Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill the Tyrant within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 45 Seconds
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this mission you simply have to topple the Tyrant as fast as you can. The easiest way to go about this is to equip Eryx before the fight starts. Once the fight has started run behind him and give him a few shots to his back with Eryx. Evade when he tries to attack you and while his back is facing you Demon Pull him to the ground. Once he is on the ground unleash on him into a relentless assault and try to finish him off before he gets back up. If he does happen to get back up simply repeat this process and keep on the offensive here.
Secret Mission #15 - Hasty Acquisition
  • Location in story: Mission 13
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Gain the target number of red orbs within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 35 seconds
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: For this secret mission you will need to collect 90 Red Orbs. You will have to destroy obstacles along the side-streets to release red orbs. The best way to go about this is to use Aguila's projectile attack. Turn to the right and take everything out from down that side-street from the center of the intersection. Then turn to where the lost soul was under the alcove and break everything there. Now take the side-street that you start Mission 4 from. Once all of that stuff is destroyed you should have about 7-8 seconds left and about 80 red orbs. Obtain the rest of the orbs you need by heading up the last side-street and shooting everything or using Aquila's attacks.
Secret Mission #16 - Displaced Skirmish
  • Location in story: Mission 5
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit. Enemies only take damage within active zones.
  • Time Limit: 1:50
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This one is a little bit tricky. Green rings will form all around the outside of the fountain and shrink over time. These areas are the only place the enemies will take any damage. The best way to do this one is to bring the enemies to you. Get in the center of the area double jump and Demon Pull an enemy to you. Now hack away at them with Rebellion and when they go flying instantly bring them back with another Demon Pull. Work on the five Lesser Stygian before taking on the two Ravagers as since you are in the air it doesn't matter if they try to attack they will not succeed. When you see a new area open up to attack enemies head there before you start wasting time by attacking an enemy in a spot where it isn't doing damage. I say leave the Ravagers for last because near the last 15 seconds you should be down to your last Ravager and there will be numerous green circles on the floor making them easier to take out almost anywhere.
Secret Mission #17 - Divergent Slaughter
  • Location in story: Mission 7
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies. Do not use the same attack twice.
  • Time Limit: N/A
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This one is actually a pain in the butt. I recommend doing this one when you have upgraded a lot of your moves. For this mission I recommend focusing on the Stygian before the Lesser Stygian. You are going to want to knock off the Stygian with one move each. First get one of the Stygian near the edge and use Trillion Stabs on him to send him flying off the edge. Next get the next Stygian to the edge of the area and tap to send him launching in the air, 90% of the time he falls back down into the lava. Now you can focus on the Lesser Stygian. Shoot one with Kablooey and wait for them both to be near each other and set it off. Now switch to Revenant and shoot once when they are close together. That alone should deal a bit of damage. Now just use a attack from Eryx on one enemy and the same combo but this time from Arbiter. This should do it but if either still have any life left use a quick combo from either Osiris or Aquila.
Secret Mission #18 - Extreme Traversal
  • Location in story: Mission 16
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Health Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Reach the goal within the time limit.
  • Time Limit: 1:40
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: for this Secret Mission you are going to have to do one final race against the clock in a giant obstacle course. This race however is going to truly test your abilities with using your Demon Pull, Angel Pull and ability to spot doors to break through and break through them fast. There are also a lot of Angel Boost Rings along the course so be sure to be familiar with those. Things don't really get too too tricky until the end when you have to Angel Lift then Demon Pull to Angel Lift into a Angel Boost Ring and such. This one comes down to the skills you have acquired traversing the demon worlds during your playthrough of the story. Everything is basically straightforward here. You should have enough time to fall once or twice and still make it to the end with some time to spare.
Secret Mission #19 - A Day in Hell
  • Location in story: Mission 17
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Devil Trigger Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies. Dante dies with one hit.
  • Time Limit: N/A
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: This one isn't really all that bad but you are going to need to rely on your Aerial Combat techniques. The best and easiest way to do this one is to start with the Ravager and launch him into the air. Use to attack him until he goes flying. Once he goes flying Angel Lift yourself to him and repeat until he dies. Watch out for your landing so you don't land in any of the 6 Stygian below. Now get away from the enemies and Demon Pull one to you and repeat the process used for killing the Ravager. None of the enemies can hit your in teh air so that is the safest spot to stay. Keep on repeating this process until all of the enemies have been killed.
Secret Mission #20 - Subsistence
  • Location in story: Mission 9
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Devil Trigger Cross Fragment
  • Mission Objective: Survive until the timer expires. Each enemy killed restores some of Dante's health.
  • Time Limit: 3:00
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: The point here is to just survive. Be careful as the enemies will be on Son of Sparda difficulty here. You will need to keep on a relentless attack of the enemies here to keep replenishing Dante's health. Dante's health will continuously be depleting through the mission so you will have no choice but to fight. The enemies start out with Lesser Stygian which are easy to deal with. Keep at them to keep refilling your health until you get 45 seconds in. This is when Hell Knights start to show their ugly mugs. Use Arbiter or Eryx to fight from now on so you don't get deflected. When you get down to the halfway point you will then be joined by some Ravagers. Be careful and evade when necessary to avoid damage. Keep the battle going until you get down to the last 45 seconds. Any second now a Dreamrunner will join the mix so make sure to keep an eye out for him as we all know Dreamrunners are among the most deadly enemies in this game. Once you get down to about the last 15 seconds activate your Devil Trigger for the home stretch.
Secret Mission #21 - Shenanigans
  • Location in story: Mission 13
  • Prize Awarded For Completion: Devil Trigger Cross
  • Mission Objective: Kill all enemies
  • Time Limit: N/A
  • Tips to Complete Secret Mission: The point here is to kill the three enemies. Doesn't sound too bad? Well it really isn't, although it may take a few tries. Keep in mind enemies will be set on Dante Must Die difficulty here. What you need to do is notice what three enemies there are. A Blood Rage, a Ghost Rage and a Witch. You are going to want to work on the Witch first. This will take her ability to defend the other enemies away from them. Focus on her while constantly on the move to try to evade getting hit by the Rages. You can try to aerial combo the Witch but remember that she is just going to teleport away anyways after a few hits. Once she is taken out focus on the Blood Rage. Use Aquila's attacks to stun the Ghost Rage so you can punish the Blood Rage with Eryx or Arbiter. I recommend Eryx since Arbiter takes time to use and Rages are fast. Once the Blood Rage is vanquished you are free to work on the Ghost Rage. Stun him again and use Osiris' combos to deal more damage to the Rage until he dies. This is the final Secret Mission and it is considered the hardest but isn't really that hard so just try again if you should fail.
