Team Effort = pain in the ass. i was wondering if this could be accomplished with 4 controllers offline? i am only missing a couple maps and happen to have 4 controllers. i am going to start working on this trophy this way. i will post my results unless someone already know and posts it.

4 Controllers means 4 Controllers. Online or offline, it's the same thing.

For the bronze trophy, Defense Is the Best Offense, you are allowed to quit when the game says Build Phase Wave 10, I don't know why the trophy guide is saying not to but I managed to get it by leaving every time. When you view your statistics, so long as it says reached pure strategy wave 10, that's all you need.

As a safety measure, I generally sell a few defenses and start wave 11.

Just did a little experiment with the Defense is the Best Offense trophy. You just have to reach wave 10. You do not have to complete it. It will show up on your stats back at the tavern as reached wave 10.

Anyone have any tips for Assault on Insane? All of the videos I have found online have huntresses using the Blasticus, which doesn't really help because I can't get the Blasticus until I beat Assault on Insane. I'm using a Soul Focuser that does about 24k DPS, but unlike other maps where I can kill people from halfway across the map, I have to be right up on them on this board. needless to say, that isn't going to well. I'm lucky if I have enough lives to make it through Crystal #2. Is there some other weapon or upgrade to a weapon I can use to make this a little more manageable?

Well, you're right, you need to beat Assault to get the Blasticus. For Assault, I'd actually recommend the Crystal Tracker (beat Warping Core on Insane). It has very good splash damage and will probably out-DPS your SoFo. The only weapon better than that (that I know of) is a DLC weapon called the Shai Hulud.
For the most part, crystals 1 and 2 you can reach fairly easily. It's crystal 3 that causes the most problems. Unfortunatley, with a low-level weapon you have, you won't be able to 'brute force' your way in, so you'll have to refer to the more finessed way of doing the sequence of jumps. Did you watch the video in the guide?Last edited by Hitmanchan; 4 Weeks Ago at 09:25 AM.

I watched several guides for both ways and was able to do it on the easier difficulties. But on insane I've been having a hard time even getting to the second crystal on a lot of the attempts. I will try to farm a better crystal tracker and hope I get lucky with it. I've done warping core a few times and have gotten one good one but I can't use it until level 83 (and that's still 9 levels and tens of millions of XP away). The rest haven't had more than about 10 upgrades. Thanks
