[top]Introduction

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is an all new style of Dynasty Warriors. They have left the big 100's of enemies on one and went more into a story mode type of gameplay that is less strategic but more like an RPG where there are some spots with big numbers of enemies but for the most part it is small numbers of stronger warriors who will be attacking you. Strikeforce's new camera angle is great for those who don't like an overhead angled shot but instead is in back of the character allowing you to see further on screen. Strikeforce also introduces a great system of aerial combat making it possible to juggle enemies in the air for a period of time. Depending on your chi skills you can jump 4 times and dash 5 times all in the same aerial combo. Another great feature of the game is the updated musou. You can now fill up your musou meter and go into a musou transformation where your attacks deal more damage and of course you can hit the musou button again to deal out your normal musou attack or "special attack".

[top]Tips and Strategies

  • WHEN YOU FINISH A STORY MODE AS ANY DYNASTY DO NOT START A NEW GAME. What you want to do is go to the shrine once you have completed Chapter 6 and select change forces. Change to whichever ones you are still missing and continue that way you keep everything have done so far including City Upgrades, Skills learned, Weapons, all unlockables, and character level.
  • At the start choose any dynasty you want. I recommend starting out on Shu with either Zhao Yun or Guan Ping due to the fact that they hit harder than most and are quite good characters once level 50 is hit. If you are going for a challenge simply choose Liu Bei. His attacks aren't really strong so this will offer a bigger challenge to those who want it.
  • When starting out I highly recommend staying in Area 1 of "Bandit Trap" and getting as many kills as possible. You should gain around 1000 kills. This will boost you higher in level in the start of the game giving you an early advantage.
  • Save between every few missions, especially when playing online. The game does not auto-save and there are some instances where the game will freeze up during battle letting some players finish while others fall into a glitch that won't allow them to gain the victory or defeat meaning they would have to quit out of the session in order for either player to continue playing.
  • After each battle you will be greeted by either a panda wanting to trade items, a girl who wants to hear a story or give you an item she found, or a traveling character looking to give you a tactic card if he has one. Make sure you talk to each and every tactic card giver even if you think you already have his card just to be sure.
  • Duplicating items online. There are a ton of items you will need to grind out even after all of your quests have been completed, meaning hours of endless searching, but not with this method. Just get with anyone who is playing this game and is willing to dupe with you make sure each of you have all the items in the game that you can between the two of you. To duplicate items simply go to the options to trade any items but make sure you both save before hand. Have whoever is giving the items simply give you the items and in return you give them 00 of any item and you will wind up trading them nothing for the item you need. Than after they have given you whatever items you need have them press start and go to system and than return to the main menu or just XMB quit. This will quit them out of the game without them saving so their profile does not have any memory of it ever saving giving them back the items that they gave to you. Just make sure that the one quitting out is not the host and if they are simply make sure whoever received the items for duping saves but whoever gave you the items shouldn't save. Repeat this as many times as you need until you have all the items you need to make whatever weapons, chi and orbs that you desire.
  • It is completely possible to get the Chi trophy and Orbs trophy and than quit out of the game right after giving you the trophy but never saving your progress thus giving you back all your materials and money (which you will need to farm even after you have completed every mission in the game). But make sure you buy the necessary orbs and chi for the treasure specified for each (more detail under the Treasure Collector trophy). I recommend doing this for an even faster plat. I also recommend doing this but still buying every weapon and keeping every weapon since certain characters can only use certain weapons when they are at certain levels.
  • When in the town you can press start and hit R1 and scroll down to "Vault". The vault will show you what percentage you are complete for the collection trophies. This will also allow you to see what officers, officer cards, legends, movies, officer cards, and tactics you have. this is very important because you can compare everything in your game with the descriptions I will provide to see what items you are missing towards the trophy since everything in my guide will be taken straight from my Vault (which I have every 100%) so it will show everything in order.
  • When going through the story I highly recommend visiting the bulletin board and doing every single "Side Mission" before going to the gatekeeper for the actual story mission for each play-through this way you don't have to chapter hop until you find the one you are missing. If you are playing online (even if it is by yourself) it will show every mission available for all chapters at the bulletin board as opposed to just missions in that chapter. When playing online, whatever missions you do, as long as both people have that mission unlocked you will both get credit for that mission. If someone is on chapter 2 and helping someone with chapter 3 they will not get credit for chapter 3 and will have to do it all over again for themselves.

[top]Trophies

[top]
Dynasty Warrior
Gained all Trophies.

Simple enough just get all of the other trophies and this one will unlock right after whichever trophy you got last.

[top]
Minnow K.O.
Defeated first rank and file soldier.

You will get this on your very first mission called "Bandit Trap". Simply go into the 1st area and start taking out your enemies. Give it about 15 seconds into it or so and you will receive the trophy.

[top]
Weaponry K.O.
Defeated first Weaponry.

For this trophy all you have to do is kill any enemy machine whether it be a ballista, a missile cannon, or a spinning blade. The first area where you run into any of these machines is in the mission "Bandit Trap" in Area 2 or Area 4. It is easier to get the one in area 2 because area 4 has the boss for this quest. To get up to area 2 get enough musou to transform and look at the map with the branching path leading to area 2.Transform into musou form and than double jump up the cliff and go into area 2. The ballista you will want to kill is located inside that little wooden castle they have up on platforms on the left side or the right side (it doesn't matter which one you destroy just destroy either one). There are missions you will have to do later in the game that require you to destroy the machines in order to complete the mission so this trophy is impossible to miss.

[top]
Officer K.O.
Defeated first Officer.

This one is also impossible to miss. You will get this trophy in "Bandit Trap" also. In area 4 of the quest is a guy named "Bandit Chief". You will have to defeat him in order to progress in the game. If you happen to be someone who joined an online game from the start than you may not get this one if someone else defeats the Bandit Chief so anywhere in the game where there is an enemy with a name above his health bar you just have to simply deliver the final blow to him.

[top]
Budding General
Issued first command to Allied Officer.

Once you have beaten the first actual mission in chapter 1, "Yellow Turban Menace" You will unlock three allied officers. For the Shu Dynasty you will unlock Zhuge Liang, Ma Chao, and Huang Zong. You are going to want to go to the shrine (located in the upper right hand corner in chapter 1) and select the option Allied Officers. There are three empty spaces you can fill. Add at least one for this trophy. Go to your next mission and start the mission. Once the mission before you even go into area 1 just get the trophy out of the way so you don't have to think about it. Press L2 and hit any of the buttons shown on the screen to command an officer. They will start talking amongst themselves and as soon as they finish talking you will receive the trophy.

[top]
Budding Strategist
Used first Card Tactic.

As soon as you have any of the required cards from the random officers that appear simply follow the instructions listed under the Grand Strategist trophy for details on how to use a strategy and what cards you will need. Once you are ready simply place the strategy in area 1. Go into that area and start knocking out enemies. After a few seconds there should be a pop up on the screen saying the tactic has been used. Right after that pop up you will get your trophy.
*Note - When playing offline you will need allied officers equivalent to the amount of cards you plan on using.

[top]
Victory Toast
Completed first Quest.

You will get this trophy as soon as you finish your first quest. Simply go up to the bulletin board and select any quest, "Bandit Trap" is the first available mission for you to play. Simply finish the quest online or offline and you will receive this trophy once you get back into the town.

[top]
Blacksmith Patron 1
Made first weapon.

To get this trophy simply go up to the blacksmith and talk to him. After a few missions you should have enough money and materials to at least make one weapon. Simply select make weapon and choose any dark colored weapon type. Than choose any dark name colored weapon and simply purchase it for the trophy.

[top]
Blacksmith Patron 2
Powered up first weapon.

In order to get this trophy you will have to go to the blacksmith once you have a decent amount of materials. This time select Strengthen Weapon. Click on any weapon and choose whichever ability you want to strengthen. Now you must exchange materials for this. Simply hit an item that you have an abundance of and hit R1. This will give him the max amount of that item he will need to upgrade that item. Do that for each category of item he needs. The total amount of value has to match or exceed the amount he needs. Once you have given him enough materials for all the values to have been highlighted simply press start and he will upgrade it for you. Once he upgrades it for you, you will get the trophy.

[top]
Academy Disciple
Acquired first Chi Skill.

For this trophy head over to the Academy and talk to the old man. I recommend going into the "General" section and purchasing the Spring and/or Rush Chi ability. It doesn't matter what ability you make as long as you have the materials to make any ability. Simply purchase any one of these and the trophy will pop up. To equip any of the chi power press start and go to "Equipment" and select "Chi". Choose whatever body part you have equip-able chi for and and select the chi you wish to equip.

[top]
Workshop Patron
Made first Orb.

For this trophy simply head over to the craftswoman and talk to her over at the workshop. Choose any orb that you have enough materials for and purchase it. This will unlock the trophy. To equip an orb press start and go to the "Equipment" option and go down to "Main Weapon". highlight the weapon with the "E" next to it and press square. Simply click orb one and put whichever orb you want in that spot.

[top]
Online Venture
Connected to Online City for the first time.

You don't have to actually play online with anyone to get this trophy. What you are going to want to do is from your city press start, hit R1, and click "Multiplayer". Go down to "Create City" and set "Private" to on so that you can get your Victory Banquet trophy as well. Select confirm and confirm that you are playing online. Make sure you save your progress first because there have been some problems in the past with connecting online where it would say its connecting but really not making it impossible to do anything but XMB quit. Once you get into your online town the trophy will pop up.

[top]
Victory Banquet
Completed first online Quest.

This one can be obtained either by yourself or with anyone else. Once you are in your town either request a mission or join another players mission. you can do any quest in the game and once the quest has finished you will get your trophy. Choosing a quest is exactly the same as if you were offline but you have to wait until everyone is ready to start the quest.

[top]
Mutual Exchange
Traded Officer with another player for the first time.

For this trophy you will actually have to play with someone online. To find someone online press start than hit R1 and click on "Multiplayer" and select quick match. This will bring you to a city with players in it. Simply press start and hit R1 and go to "Trade Officer", when someone agrees to trade with you, Select their name and choose an officer to trade them. Once you have successfully traded one of your officers you will get the trophy.
*NOTE - To get your officer back that you traded for your "Used all character's trophy" simply take the officer that you had traded to you and make him an allied officer at the shrine by going to "Guest officers" and complete any mission with him on your team. Once you have done that go back to the shrine and go down to "Guest Officer List" and hit to recall your officer.

[top]
Heretics Suppressed
Completed Chapter 1 in any Story.

To get this trophy you will need to completely finish Chapter 1 as any dynasty. Chapter 1 is the beginning and as long as you followed my advice about leveling up early, this should be a walk in the park for you. Also remember to stock up on items between quests for when you get into a pinch. Once you have finished all of Chapter 1's story missions the trophy will unlock but I recommend doing all of the side missions before doing the Final Chapter 1 mission. Here is a list of missions for Chapter 1.

Completed Chapter 4 in any Story.

Chapter 4 is where all of the dynasties branch out into different missions. They are for the most part relatively easy if you have been killing lots of enemies and gaining more levels. You are really gonna need to stock items for these missions to make them easier like meatbuns and flutes if they are available yet. Stay persistent and once you clear any dynasty's chapter 4 you will be rewarded with this trophy. Here is a list of all of Chapter 4's missions for each Dynasty.

To get this trophy you must complete Chapter 5 as the Wei dynasty. This chapter isn't the worst set of missions but still can be a pain to complete. I recommend buying supplies after each and every quest and stay fully stocked up, use block as often as you can, don't be afraid to use musou when needed and finally if you see your character isn't fairing well than simply go back to other missions and keep grinding some levels until you are high enough of a level. Tyranny Vanquished
Completed Chapter 6 in any Story.

Chapter 6 is one of the biggest pains to complete depending what level your character is at and what character you are using. Best thing to do is to grind you way to level 50. You should be close to that level as well as your allied officers. If you are having too much trouble with this than simply try them online with other people. It makes it a lot easier. The missions are all the same for all of the dynasties in Chapter 6. Once you complete Chapter 6 you will get the trophy. Here is a list of the missions in Chapter 6.

Invincible General
Completed all Quests.

This will probably be one of your very last trophies. You have to complete each story mission and "request" (Side Mission) from all 3 stories. You will also need to talk to the man at the beginning of Chapter 3 and do his 3 missions, talk to all the Ninja Gaiden characters that show up in chapters 3 and 4 to do all their crossover missions, do all the Gaiden Missions, and do all the Legendary Treasure Missions (Which each unlock by finding all of the legends). Here is a list of all the missions you will need to do except for the story missions (since I have already gone over those).

[top]
Weapon Collector
Collected all Weapons.

For this trophy you will need to get every weapon in the game. You will need to grind out a bunch of levels to have enough materials as well as money to make them all. If you download the PSN quests you will have a bunch of quests to choose from that contain pretty rare items. I recommend leaving this for one of your last trophies anyways. To save time on gathering appropriate materials view the top of the guide for instructions on how to dupe items. I suggest keeping at least three of each item so you can use it to dupe with someone rather than trying to go out and find all of the materials. You will not be able to purchase all of the weapons until you have finished every single Legends Quest and have the blacksmith upgraded at least to level 5. I recommend buy all the Chi Skills and Orbs first and quiting out to minimize the amount of money you will need.

[top]
Chi Collector
Collected all Chi Skills.

For this trophy I recommend leaving for one of the last trophies also so that you have enough materials and money. Once you have enough materials and money simply buy every single Chi power from the Academy. After you get the trophy I recommend quitting out of the game without saving first giving you back all of your items and money but taking away all of the chi skills you bought and going back in and buying the ones you really want and the ones you need for the Chi Skills treasure (for details on which ones you will still need see the treasure Collector Section). You will not be able to purchase all of the Chi Skills until you have the Academy upgraded to level 5.

[top]
Orb Collector
Collected all Orbs.

Much like the Chi Collector Trophy I recommend leaving this trophy for one of the last trophies and again, once you have enough materials and money simply buy every single Orb from the Workshop. After you get the trophy I recommend quitting out of the game without saving first giving you back all of your items and money but taking away all of the orbs you bought and going back in and buying the ones you really want and the ones you need for the Orb Collector treasure (for details on which ones you will still need see the treasure Collector Section). You will not be able to get all the Orbs until you have upgraded the Workshop to level 5.

[top]
Card Collector
Collected all Officer Cards.

A lot of people say this is luck based and it kind of is, but not as luck based as some think. The only thing luck based about it is whether or not the guy giving a card shows up or not. What you are going to want to do for a sure fire way to get all the cards is once you have beaten all 3 story-lines go back to Wu Chapter 1 as a Wu official that you already have a card for. Start a mission and once it has begun press start and select return to city. keep doing this until a man shows up that is supposed to give you a card. If he gives you a card remain on Chapter 1 and repeat this process until someone shows up but doesn't give you a card. Than move on to Chapter 2 and repeat this process until you have not received a card on chapter 6. Now switch to Wei Chapter 1 as a Wu official and do the same until you get to Wei Chapter 6 and didn't receive a card. Than do the same for Shu dynasty Chapters 1-6 as a Wu official until you don't get a card on chapter 6. Now switch your officer to a Wei officer and repeat the entire process going through all 3 dynasties on each chapter. Than move onto a Shu official and than an "Other" official. I guarantee that somewhere along the line you will get your last card. This process does not take nearly as long as you may think. I had no cards and started this process and it took approx. 4 hours to get every single card in the game (I did this theory to collect the remaining ones I was missing and every single card on another account so this method definitely works). Here is a list of every single tactic card in the game.

This is probably going to be one of the last trophies you get. There are Treasures that are given to you when you have preformed Certain tasks. Grand Developer
Upgraded all City Facilities to maximum.

Each time you return from a quest the value of your city goes up a little bit. You are going to want to use tactic cards to make your city grow faster. To use a tactic card on your city simply press start, go down to "City Upgrade",and select "Select Officer Cards".You will have 5 spaces to use Officer Cards in to help your city grow each time you come back from a quest. Use whichever ones you feel fit to help your city grow. The more you city grows the better upgrades you can buy. All facilities start out at level 1. When they fill the meter up under level 1 go talk to that person and they will ask for certain items to upgrade to level 2. Keep doing this for each until you have gotten to level 5. once you have them at level 5 you will have to fill the bar up one last time to make the bar completely disappear. Once every facility has no bar you will get the trophy. Some items, weapons, orbs, and chi will not be available until level 5. By the time you finish all quests you should have this. If not or if for some reason you want them upgraded faster you can simply start a mission and once you start the mission quit out from the camp and your facilities will gain experience.

[top]
Grand Strategist
Used all Card Tactics.

You will need the majority of all the cards listed under the Officer Cards. You can also get these tactics during online play if other people have cards that you are missing. When you start a quest before you go to Begin you will need to go down to the Tactics section. You can place 1 card for you and 1 for each Allied Officer you have with you. If you are playing online each player can put down 1 card each. To make the tactic come up simply put down the cards needed for that tactic in the same area as the other players. You will know you don't have it because under each set of cards placed down it gives the tactic name and what it does. If it shows the tactic name and the description is "???" than you do not have that tactic yet. You can also check what tactics you do or do not have by simply pressing start, pressing R1 and scrolling down to vault. Once in the Vault it will show you the percentage of tactics you already have and than if you click on Tactics it will show this list:

Toggle Spoiler

These are all in order directly from the game. If you have any spaces with "????" simply see which one belongs in that space and make that tactic and repeat until you have them all. If you want the tactics quicker you can place the tactic in the first area and start the match. Run into the first area and wait for the pop up that says the tactic has taken effect. Once that pops up hit start and return to the city. This will keep the tactic you used.

[top]
Grand General
Reached Level 50.

This one will simply come in time. You are going to want to kill as many things as you can throughout the game on your first playthrough as you can. This will make it so you should reach level 50 by approximately Chapter 1 or 2 of your second playthrough. Unless you keep changing characters throughout the story you will definently get this by the time you are done with the quest trophy. If you are worried about this than do some Chapter 6 missions of higher level Gaiden Missions which will net you tons of experience.
