[top]Tips & Strategies

I'd recommend trying the 'fight now' trophies first, this way you can start to get to grips with what style of fighting suits you the most. This will be more helpful for you going for 20 fights undefeated, as the fighting styles you can choose for your fighter are quite narrow, without much overlapping of skills

[top]Roadmap

Step 1 - Fight now trophies. Get these out of the way as it'll help you get used to the game system. The only exceptions will be the likes of defeating fedor on hardest.
Step 2 - Career. You'll need two playthroughs, due to the choices of leagues. Chose the top choice on one playthrough, then the bottom choice on the second one. This means you have two attempts to get the career trophies done
Step 3 - Online. Go through the online trophies with natural progression
Step 4 - Mop up the remaining trophies

Simply acquire every trophy in the game and you will earn the platinum trophy.

Narcissist
Create a fighter using Photo Game Face

You can use this in three different ways, but the option is found when creating a fighter.

A). Use your PS Eye, capture your photo(s)
B). Add your photo(s) to the EA Gameface site, and upload them onto the game
C). Use one of the default faces!

[top]
Weapons of Destruction Champion
Become a Weapons of Destruction Champion in Career Mode

At the start of the career you get two choices of leagues to join, weapons of mass destruction or renegade fighting league. Choose whichever league reflects your fighting style and after 5-6 straight wins you should be in with a chance at fighting for the title

Renegade Fighting League Champion
Become a Renegade Fighting League Champion in Career Mode

At the start of the career you get two choices of leagues to join, weapons of mass destruction or renegade fighting league. Choose whichever league reflects your fighting style and after 5-6 straight wins you should be in with a chance at fighting for the title

[top]
You Are On Your Way Kid
Sign with a middle tier league in Career Mode

After fighting for the title and winning, you'll be gifted the opportunity to move up to a middle league, this will be Liga de Combate, and United Fighters League. Again, choose wisely, as they have different rules which offer advantages to different fighting styles

[top]
Liga de Combate Champion
Become a Liga de Combate Champion in Career Mode

Once again, after 5-6 wins you should be in with a chance of fighting the champion, defeat him for your trophy and championship

[top]
United Fighters League Champion
Become a United Fighters League Champion in Career Mode

Once again, after 5-6 wins you should be in with a chance of fighting the champion, defeat him for your trophy and championship

[top]
Big Timer
Sign with a premiere league in Career Mode

After winning your championship in your chosen middle league you get the opportunity of joining Strikeforce or Mystic. If you're using a heavyweight fighter, I'd recommend going to Mystic (If going for platinum use a lower weightclass for the Strikeforce playthrough) as you'll end up fighting fedor. You don't wanna fight fedor, end of.

[top]
Passport
Travel to every gym in Career Mode

As you progress through the career Bas will tell you how you can travel to different gyms around the world, they unlock in two different stages.
The first stage unlocks:
Xtreme Couture
International Jiu Jitsu
Miletich Fighting Systems
All three allow for greater training in different areas, just go down the list one at a time until you've been to the first three, then keep choosing the most relevant gym
The second stage of gyms are:
Inferno International Gym
Bushido Club
Eight Venoms
Ballistic Boxing
Again just go down the list in order to avoid confusion, then when you're done just focus on gyms that are the most useful to your fighter

[top]
So We Meet Again...
Win a Rematch fight in Career Mode

These come up fairly regularly, especially if you're going through it twice, so don't worry about it. As you have no control other what fights you do, you can't force this trophy

[top]
Bitter Until The End
Win a Rivalry fight in Career Mode

You'll gain rivalry fights after having multiple fights against the same fighter. This happened in the second league for me, but from what I can tell it's completely random as for when you'll have the opportunity to fight the guy again

[top]
I Feel Enlightened!
Earn 5 Special Moves in Career Mode

You can earn special moves by traveling to different gyms around the world. Each time you travel to a gym, train up a new special move when you have the choice of training. You can only train one special move per each pre-fight training, but remember to try and add relevant moves (Training yourself to be able to use more submissions, isn't very helpful for the average boxer). You can really add a lot to your fight by adding moves that fit in well with your own style!

[top]
Ultimate Fight Card
Fight Randy versus Fedor in Fight Now or Online

To earn this trophy, simply set up a fight between Randy Couture and Fedor in an online or Fight Now styled match. Doesn't matter who is who, just make sure both of them are fighting. Difficulty etc is irrelevant to this trophy

[top]
Brotherly Love
Fight Shamrock versus Shamrock in Fight Now or Online

To earn this trophy, simply set up a fight between Ken Shamrock and Frank Shamrock in an online or Fight Now styled match. Doesn't matter who is who, just make sure both of them are fighting. Difficulty etc is irrelevant to this trophy

[top]
Dream Backpack
Fight Aoki versus Hansen in Fight Now or Online

To earn this trophy, simply set up a fight between Aoki and Hansen in an online or Fight Now styled match. Doesn't matter who is who, just make sure both of them are fighting. Difficulty etc is irrelevant to this trophy

[top]
Rock Out With Your Knockout
Win a fight by Knockout in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

This can be fairly easy, or fairly difficult as KO's are more difficult than they may seem (I got lucky and got one of my very few KO's in my first ever fight) The easiest way would be to use Fedor or Overeem VS another heavyweight with both low health and low stand-up (Heavyweights generally throw the biggest punches) Just throw strikes to the head (Punches for Fedor, kicks for Overeem) until your opponents head health is low, then throw heavy hits to the head. If they go to the floor, don't punch them you'll only get a TKO. Of course if you catch them right you can knock someone out with any fighter, generally happens when the screen goes blue, just swing for the fences

[top]
Say Uncle
Win a fight by Leg Submission in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

Ken Shamrock is your best bet for this, fighting against a weak submission opponent of your choice to initiate a leg submission you first want to take him down, and be on top inside your opponents full guard (Their legs will be around your body) start the submission and steadily tap square until your opponents leg is fully red

[top]
Disarmed!
Win a fight by Armbar in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

There are many ways to start an armbar, you can view these in the pause menu. Select your chosen submission specialist against a weak fighter and start your chosen armbar.

[top]
Rocky Choke
Win a fight by Rear-Naked Choke in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

Again, chose your submission specialist of your own choice (I went with Ken Shamrock as always) against your own choice of weak opponent. To get into position for a Rear-Naked choke, for this you'll need to be behind your opponent, in control of his back. Take down your opponent and transition into full mount (The furthest forward position, most dominant out of the lot) and posture up. Now just allow your opponent to make their way out of it, if you've postured up then their only route out is to give up their back, from here press R3 and you'll enter the rear naked choke, now just find that sweet spot and tap him out!

[top]
It's A Knock Out, Technically
Win a fight by T.K.O. in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

Easiest out of the 'Win a fight' trophies. If you use a lot of stand-up in your fighting, you'll often be winning by TKO. Just keep striking, then eventually your opponent will drop to the floor, from here you need to button bash to make the ref stop the fight and award you with a TKO victory

[top]
Beat The Clock
Win a fight with less than 15 seconds remaining on the round clock in single-player Fight Now or Career Mode

First of all, select Fedor in the heavyweight division, a low health, low stand-up opponent and 3 5 Minute rounds. Just keep hitting your opponent with body shots to wear him down, with the occasional head shot. By the time the clock goes down to 30 seconds remaining start aiming for the head, and you should have worn him out enough to be able to knock him down within 15 seconds. If you do it quickly (Say you have him on the floor with 25 seconds left) make sure to take it steady on the floor, then when it hits 15 absolutely hammer him

[top]
Foot Fight
Win a fight using only kicks in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

To obtain this trophy, you must use ONLY kicking attacks in a Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode match. I'd recommend Overeem for this, and just constantly go for head kicks, if you're playing on easy you'll have the fight won in no time at all

[top]
Hands of Stone
Win a fight using only punches in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

To obtain this trophy, you must use ONLY punching attacks in a Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode match. Same as with Foot Fight, 'cept this time use fedor and obviously just keep swinging for your opponents head. A few connected hits with Fedor do a hell of a lot of damage

[top]
I'm Rubber, You're Glue
Parry 10 strikes in a fight in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

To parry the shot, you need to catch it right and press R2 + Square/Triangle. R2 + Square parry's right sided strikes, and vice versa.

[top]
Denied!
Defend against 4 takedown attempts in one fight in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

Easy enough to obtain, all you need to do to defend takedowns is flick the right stick to the left, with the right timing. The hardest part about this is waiting for your opponent to actually try takedowns, whilst defending yourself. Set the rules to long rounds to be on the safe side

[top]
Blood Transfusion
Lose a significant amount of blood in Fight Now, Online, or Career Mode

From what I know this can be done in two player fight now (Two controllers required for this) Use controller two to keep beating on player one, every time player one drops to the floor, let him back up. As player one isn't moving, there will be a very small chance of a KO, so don't hold back on the punches

[top]
The Impossible
Beat Fedor on the hardest difficulty setting level in single-player Fight Now

One of the few trophies that are actually difficult, and not just long winded. Fedor is simply a beast. You wont find a flaw in his game, and he can beat you in any position possible. Thankfully, you can fight fedor vs fedor, but it's still VERY difficult. The best tactic I found was to rush him at the very start, this way you'll either do well straight away, or have the opportunity to retry quickly. Go straight in with just heavy punches, it's easy enough to start getting his head health down, but he's smarter than he looks. He'll be backing away and playing defensively here, so you need to keep hunting him down, until you can knock him down. IF you get to this part and he recovers, I'd recommend letting him take you down and finish you, he seems to be most vulnerable right at the start. IF you knock him down, bash buttons like your life depends on it. You may find it easier to use arules where you can perform head kicks, entirely your choice.

As you can see, you'll need to be spending a LOT of time to get there. But amazingly, this may be only halfway there. As of writing this, only 1/164 users of this game (On this site) have reached Red Belt, meaning it's near impossible for me to find more information to fill you in with. I, personally haven't reached the required rank, I found the online enjoyable yet at times un-bearable due to the lag. This is as far down the online path I can give you tips, if any of you reading this get further than Red Belt, please fill me in with as much information as possible.

Strikeforce is the third league out of the lot, and features the most difficult fighters out of the lot. I managed to get my third league championship fight after going 16/17 - 0. Being undefeated isn't necessary, but it certainly gets you there quicker, but you may think of moving up to a new league as starting a new page

By 13-15 fights you'll be in your third league, meaning you'll have much more difficult opponents. You should be fine up until there, but if necessary you may have to quit the game and restart if you lose a fight. Remember you want to try and limit yourself to two playthroughs to save your time.
