[top]Tips & Strategies

  • All trophies are listed in XMB order
  • For those of you who are new to the Fallout series, let me be the first to welcome you to the Wasteland. Your first thing to know about Fallout games on PS3 are that they are very good games, BUT they will freeze A LOT! So make sure you save often!
  • If you notice the framerate getting very laggy on your game, press the and do a manual save, then exit to your XMB and reload and it should fix itself.
  • This game adds Faction Armor to the gameplay. Be very mindful of your Companions and your Faction Armor if you are wearing any. If you are roaming around with Boone or wearing a piece of NCR Armor and try to go see Caesar, you will get attacked even with the Mark of Caesar!

I have learned that this is quite common around the 15-20 hour mark ( not that you can be sure as start menu still racks up ). One fix is to get on the monorail from Camp McCarran, south from the strip then go through the gates from the other side to unlock them again.

[top] Hoff's Path to Platinum

  1. Start a game on Hardcore, and concentrate your skills on Guns, Lockpicking, and Medicine. Concentrate on getting the 10,000 damage with Guns trophy before getting to the Strip and just use Stimpaks.
  2. After Completing Ring a Ding Ding, make 2-3 saves for future endings.
  3. Finish your game while getting the LockPick, Guns, level 30, Stimpaks, Locations, and Energy Weapons trophies. Also get the Companions Trophies.
  4. Load up one of your saves and turn off Hardcore mode, then complete the next faction ending. Get all side quests you missed and concentrate on Unarmed Weapons and Explosive Weapons, as well as Terminals trophies.
  5. Load up your next save for your next faction ending and concentrate on Melee Weapons and Pickpocketing.
  6. For your final Save, get any trophies you are missing for Mods and such as well as your Casino trophies. Focus your Skills on your Survival to get the food trophy.

This level is much more difficult to obtain than the other trophy levels if you don't pay attention to what mission you are on and if you don't bother with all the side missions. Make sure before you hit the point of no return on one of your playthroughs you finish this trophy off so you don't have to replay the entire game to unlock it. Once you hit level 30 this trophy will unlock.

Recruit any companion

For this trophy you will need to find ONE of the eight available companions in the game.

See The Whole Gang's Here below for more information on how find the companions.

[top]
The Whole Gang's here
Recruit all companions

This trophy is missable!

There are a total of 8 companions in the game. Unlike Fallout 3 most of the companions have a required sidequest to get them to join you, or they have a sidequest attached to them. If you fail there prerequisite sidequest or don't complete it properly they may not join you! Also in Hardcore mode the companions will die and not reappear which will end any chance you have of completing their sidequest. In this game the Companions will also grant you special perks and have abilities to help you out in your journey. You can only have 1 Companion with you at anytime UNLESS one of the companions is a robot and then you can have 2. you do NOT need to complete all their sidequests for the trophy but you must recruit all 8 companions to have followed you at one point in time for the trophy to unlock. Here are the 8 Companions, their requirements to join you and sidequest info:
  • Companion Name: ED-E (robot)
    Location: Primm
    Sidequest: ED-E My Love
How to Partner with: ED-E is located on the counter of the Nash Residence in Primm. After inspecting him speak to Johnson Nash to begin the sidequest mission. You will now need to fix ED-E for him to join you as a follower. In order to fix him you will either need a Repair 65 or a Science 55. With a Repair fix, you fix him right up and he joins you. If you use the Science fix, you will then also need to find 3 pieces of Scrap Metal, 2 Sensor Modules and a piece of Scrap Electronics.
  • Companion Name: Rex (robot)
Location: The Kings School for Impersonation in Freeside
Sidequest: Nothin but a Hound Dog
How to Partner with: You need to complete the G.I. Blues mission to have access to this Companion. After finishing the mission speak to the King and he will tell you about Rex's condition and the sidequest mission will start. Go speak with Julie Farkas at the Old Mormon Fort, then return to see the King and tell him what she said. Offer to help and he will loan you King and you will have gained a follower.
  • Companion Name: Arcade Israel Gannon
Location: Old Mormon Fort in Freeside
    Sidequest: Better Healing
How to Partner with: Arcade is the blonde guy walking around with glasses inside the Old Mormon Fort. when you talk to him you can get him to join you as long as you have a Speech 75.
    Quote Originally Posted by nauGie

  • Companion Name: Craig Boone
Location: NOVAC inside the Dinky Dinosaur at night
Sidequest: One for my Baby and I forget to remember to Forget
How to Partner with: Craig Boone is the sniper that sits in the mouth of Dinky the Dinosaur at night in NOVAC. When you speak to him, you need to to keep talking to him until he asks you for help in getting revenge for what happened to his wife. The mission One for my Baby will now start. You must complete this mission PROPERLY or he won't join you! To complete this mission properly, speak to everyone in NOVAC, then go into the office for the Dinky Dino Motel at night and pick the lock on the floor safe to get the Bill of Sale. Read the Bill of Sale to discover who the person responsible is for his wife's kidnapping and murder. Once you do that, find the person and invite them out in front of the dinosaur, again this must be at night, and put on the red beret Boone gives you. After his revenge, return to Boone and show him the receipt when prompted. If you pick the wrong person, or don't have the receipt when you talk to Boone he will get angry and even though you complete the mission he WILL NOT JOIN YOU....EVER! If this happens you will have to replay the game for this trophy from the beginning. Once you show him the receipt, keep talking to him until he agrees to join you.
  • Companion Name: Cass Cassidy
Location: Mojave Outpost at the bar
    Sidequest: Heartache by the Number
How to Partner with: Cass is located at the Mojave Outpost in the bar drinking whiskey. She will be the only person that is NOT in a NCR uniform so she will be easily spotted. Talk to her and she will tell you she can't leave the area and she will tell you about her Caravan being amubushed. Now if you have already cleared the road for Ranger Jackson you can tell her that you did that and she will tell you about the Crimson Caravan Company and the Gun Runners, if you haven't go see ranger Jackson in the next building and perform his very easy task. Your next step is to see McLafferty at the Crimson Caravan Company. She will tell you she wants to buy out the Cass Caravans. Return to Cass and tell her. Now to complete this you will need any of these Speech 50-75, Barter 75 or Barter 50 plus 750 caps. Once you have bought her out, continue speaking to her until she agrees to join you. If you haven't completed the task for Ranger Jackson she will not join you!
  • Companion Name: Lily
    Location: Jacobstown
Sidequest: Guess who I saw Today
How to Partner with: Lily is located in Jacobstown. When you enter Jacobstown, head to the Lodge and then head to the right downstairs room to find Dr. Henry. He will tell you about the Nightkin and the problems he is having with the Nightstalkers. He will suggest you take Lily with you. Go find her outside the doors to the lodge by the Bighorners and she will join you.
  • Companion Name: Raul Tejada
    Location: Black Mountain
    Sidequest: Old School Ghoul
How to Partner with: To find Raul, you must traverse the windy road up to Black Mountain. Black Mountain is located North of Sloan, where the road branches up to the right and you can see the road traversing back and forth on your map. Getting to the top of the mountain is another fun problem. I recommend waiting until your levels are decently high to attempt this area. You must first get past the Deathclaws ,there are only a couple, on the road from Sloan to get to the turnoff, then on the road up the mountain you will fight a mixture of Nightkin and unfriendly Super Mutants all the way to the top. Once you get to the top, you will face a Nightkin master and a Nightkin Sniper. Raul is located in the Prison building, which id the first building on your left. Once inside you can hack the Terminal to gain access to the room he is in if you have a Science 100 OR if you use the unlocked terminal on the left and go through every entry you will find the password to bypass the hack. Once inside continue talking to him until he joins you.
  • Companion Name: Veronica
    Location: 188 Trading Post
Sidequest: I Could make you Care
How to Partner with: Veronica is located at the 188 Trading Post. She is roaming around in Brown Robes, somewhat resembling a Jedi . As long as you aren't on bad terms with the Brotherhood of Steel she will join you. Just continue speaking to her until she asks.

Crafty
Craft 20 items

Crafting is something that has been in the Fallout series for a while and they made this trophy very easy in this game, unlike in Fallout 3 >:F>:F. For this trophy you must simply Craft twenty of anything. The quickest way to get this is to pick up any Empty Energy Cells you find. Your first Workbench is located at Goodsprings on the side of the General Store. Head over to it and Craft some Ammo, or recycle your Energy Cells and you will get the trophy as soon as you hit 20.

[top]
Mod Machine
Install 20 weapon mods

Weapon Mods are new to the Fallout series and can be attached to almost any Gun or Energy Weapon. They are Weapon specific and can upgrade your weapons power, their magazine size, add a scope for targeting and much more. After you purchase a Weapon Mod from a Dealer, go to your Pip Boy and go to the Weapons Menu. Then press the to go to the Weapon Mods available and attach any modes you have. the Weapon mods will always be in the Misc items when you are at a dealer. You only need to attach 20 total Mods, not attach mods to 20 different guns, so you can attach them all to the same type of gun if you want. The unique weapons such as the Maria and the Thump Thump CANNOT be modded and your Companions cannot use any modded weapons. For a full list of weapons and their mods view the Lead Dealer and Blast Mastery trophies below. Below is also a list of the Vendors with available Gun Modifications.

Walker of the Mojave
Discover 50 locations

This trophy will unlock once you DISCOVER your first 50 locations on the map. When you discover an area you will hear a change in music and you will get an onscreen notification and some EXP. You will also get a marker on your map and will be able to "Fast-Travel" to that location. When someone Marks a new area on your map either for a sidequest or a mission this does NOT count towards this total until you actually visit the location.

See the Master of the Mojave trophy below for strategy.

Master of the Mojave
Discover 125 locations

This trophy will unlock once you DISCOVER your 125 total locations on the map. There are A LOT more than 125 so you don't even have to go anywhere near any Deathclaw areas unless you really want to be a true hunter. Their are two ways to go about this trophy:
  1. The EASIEST way to achieve this trophy is the Explorer Perk. The Explorer Perk will unlock at Level 20 regardless of what any of your STATS are at the time. When you are about to level up to 20 make a second save if you don't want to waste a Perk. When you take the Explorer Perk the game will unlock every location available in the game on your map. YOU WILL STILL NEED TO GO TO 125 OF THESE LOCATIONS FOR THE TROPHY!!
  2. The hard way is to roam around and try to discover 125 locations on your own. Happy Exploring

Globe Trotter
Discover all snow globes

Snow globes have replaced the Bobbleheads as the only collectibles you need to find in this game. There are seven Snow Globes in total and unlike the Bobbleheads they are very easy to find. When you find them, they will be added to your inventory. If you visit the Luck 38 casino and head to the Penthouse floor and speak with Jane, who is the Securitron located directly in front of the elevator and the only Securitron with a girl's face on her screen, she will buy the Snow Globes from you for 2,000 caps a piece. It is not necessary to sell the Snow Globes to Mr. House to achieve the trophy, so even if you have done missions that break your allegiances with the House you can still acquire this if you can roam the Wastelands. Here are the seven globes and their locations:
  • Snow Globe Name: Goodsprings
    Map Location: Goodsprings Cemetery
How to Find: Goodsprings Cemetery is located North of Goodsprings and is up the hill in the back of the town. Once you are there head over to the Water Tower and you will find the Snow Globe right next to the disturbed Gravesite that is located in front of the tower.
  • Snow Globe Name: Mormon Fort
    Map Location: Old Mormon Fort
How to Find: Old Mormon Fort is located near the North entrance to Freeside. You will see an enclosed area right off the main road that leads to the Strip in the first section. Once you enter the Fort head immediately to the right to find a doorway that leads up to one of the Fort Towers which is Julie Farkas' office. This Globe is located upstairs in her office on top of the bookcase.
  • Snow Globe Name: Test Site
Map Location: The Strip Inside the Lucky 38 Casino
How to Find: After you have spoken with Victor and gained entrance to the Lucky 38 Casino on the quest The House Always Wins I, speak with him again at the elevator to head up to the Penthouse and then go speak with Mr. House. After listening to Mr. House head back to the elevators and Victor will inform you that you have been given permission to use the Presidential Suite. Now when you ask to use the elevator you will have new options of floors to go to including Cocktail Lounge. Head to the Lounge and once outside the elevator immediately head to the right and look for the cash register. The Globe is located behind the register.
  • Snow Globe Name: The Strip
Map Location: The Strip Inside Vault 21 Hotel
How to Find: Vault 21 hotel is located in the very last section of the strip on the right hand side. Head inside to the receptionist/owner and ask Sarah for the tour. Sarah will give you a tour on your way to show you your room. Once you arrive at your room she will comment that her room is the door to your right and to stay out of there. Wait for her to leave then pick the lock (if your skill is high enough) and you will find the Globe in between the beds on the nightstand.
  • Snow Globe Name: Mt. Charleston
    Map Location: Jacobstown
How to Find: If you look at your map from your Pip Boy, Jacobstown is located directly left of the Strip in what looks like a crater, which is actually a ring of Mountains. You will see the road enter the crater and stop there which is the entrance. Once you are in Jacobstown, head into the Lodge, which is the large building located there, and the Globe is right in front of you on the receptionists desk.
  • Snow Globe Name: Nellis AFB
Map Location: Nellis Air Force base
How to Find: Nellis is located on the upper right side of the map. If you look at your Pip Boy you will follow the most upper right road to get there. Getting into Nellis is a whole other scenario. For tips on getting into Nellis see the Volare trophy. Once inside Nellis, head to the Hangers then turn left. You will see a bunch of curve shaped buildings to the left of the hangars. The one on the right is Pete's Museum. Head into Pete's and you will find this globe on the right side on the desk underneath the Boomer's story painting.
  • Snow Globe Name: Hoover Dam
    Map Location: Hoover Dam
How to Find: If you look at your Pip Boy, you will see a very large body of water on the right side of the map, this is Lake Mead. Now from here if you follow the map down as Lake Mead ends you will see a land bridge in between the Lake and the River, this is where Hoover Dam is located. Once you are on the Dam, the first building on the right is the Visitors center. Head into the Visitors Center and the Globe is directly in front of you on the information booth.

You Run Barter Town
Sell 10,000 caps worth of goods

This is one of the easier trophies in the game to get and you will easily get this before the end of the game if you pay attention to what you are doing. Whenever you come to any Vendor, it doesn't necessarily have to be a gun salesman, you can sell items. When you are in the purchasing screen, press the to move over to your inventory and you can then sell your items as long as the vendor has enough money to purchase them. You will always get HALF of what the real value is, just like at a car dealership . Now when you are doing this you can also purchase items from the same vendor and the arrow in the middle will show who owes who money. The items you sell in this transaction will still count towards your trophy. Also the better condition the weapons or armor you sell is in, the more caps you will get from the sale. Now the best way to do this is to compile your weapons and repair them and sell them once they are in good condition. Some really good stuff to sell is the Brotherhood Power Armor as its quite valuable, if you happen to acquire some. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Other Challenges and find the associated trophy. As soon as you sell 10,000 caps worth of goods, the trophy is yours.

For this trophy you must get 10,000 points of damage on enemies as a cumulative total of all your energy weapons. This trophy must be achieved on ONE playthrough! To make this easier remember to use your leveling up point totals to increase your Energy Weapons and the weapons will cause more damage. The Laser Rifle and Laser RCW work well and fire quickly but if you want power the Plasma Rifle is your best bet. If you can find the mighty Pulse Gun, it will take down ANY robot in one shot and also works well against anyone wearing power armor. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Lead Dealer
Cause 10,000 damage with Guns

For this trophy you must get 10,000 points of damage on enemies as a cumulative total of all your Guns that fire Normal, Armor Piercing or Hollow Point Bullets. This trophy must be achieved on ONE playthrough! To make this easier remember to use your leveling up point totals to increase your Guns and the weapons will cause more damage. There are several weapons that work really well in the game it all comes down to your preference. Early on try to find a Cowboy Repeater to replace your Varmint Rifle for a nice boost in damage. The Revolvers do good damage but only hold six shots and fire slow. I personally am partial to the SMGs. They fire 3 round bursts and are quite effective at taking anyone out. Try to keep a nice supply of Armor Piercing Bullets on inventory. If you are in a battle and you notice a Red Shield pop up by the enemies health they are protected from your attacks and receive less damage. Go to your Pip Boy and for the selected gun go over to Ammo and you can change your ammo to Armor Piercing to tear through his protection. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . No Tumbler Fumbler
Pick 25 locks

You will find locks you can pick on some door, lockers, ammo boxes, first aid kits and more all across the Wasteland. You will need Bobby Pins to try to pick them so if you see some Bobby Pins in a container be sure to pick them up. The higher your Lockpick skill, the more things you will be able to Lockpick. The breakdown of the difficulty you can try is like this:
  • Very Easy: 10-24
  • Easy: 25-49
  • Average: 50-74
  • Hard: 75-99
  • Very Hard: 100

In addition to your ability to open harder locks, the higher your Lockpicking skill the stronger your Bobby Pin will be, so if you have a Lockpicking skill of 100 your Bobby Pin will have a strength of 200%. Now what you will do to Pick locks is move the Bobby Pin with the left stick and the screwdriver with the right stick. move your Bobby Pin in decent size increments either left or right and gently try the screwdriver to see if you have any play. If the lock turns, you are in the right area. If it doesn't try a new area. Once you have found your area, move the Pin slowly either left or right to find the correct area and voila...an open lock and some Experience points.

Stim-ply Amazing
Heal 10,000 points of damage with Stimpaks

This trophy is much easier than it sounds. There are a lot of different strategies to earn this trophy but they are all basically the same. The main thing you need to remember is buy all the Stimpaks and Super Stimpaks you can find, and raise your Medicine skill to get more health from each one. I actually found this one to be easier with Hardcore mode turned off on one of my post game playthroughs because you actually get a set amount of Health from the Paks instead of a per second amount. What I recommend doing is running around with Light Armor, or even no Armor so that you take more damage when you are doing one of your Faction Ending playtrhoughs. If you are really having trouble taking damage but have a lot of Stimpaks, you can go jump in the Colorado River or lake Mead and drown yourself until your health gets low then quickly go to your Pip Boy and use them and repeat this process until you either run out or get the trophy. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Other Challenges and find the associated trophy.

New Vegas Samurai
Cause 10,000 damage with Melee Weapons

For this trophy you must get 10,000 points of damage on enemies as a cumulative total of all your Melee Weapons. This trophy must be achieved on ONE playthrough! To make this easier remember to use your leveling up point totals to increase your Melee Weapons and the weapons will cause more damage. This one is just what works for you, I personally like the Sledgehammer, Super Sledge and the Rebar Club. You only get one shot in your VATS with the Melee's unless you have added extra Perks to get more AP or use less. That being said, if you get close enough and just start pressing the you can start swinging your weapons and if you have a big one like a Sledge you can hit multiple enemies at once, just watch out for companions on Hardcore mode since they like to get in the way. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Kill Challenges and find the associated trophy. Below is a list of all the Melee Weapons available in the game.

Jury Rigger
Repair 30 items

Repairing your items is a very important part of Fallout games. To repair an item, press the to pull up your Pip Boy, then go to either your Weapons or Apparel, go to the item you would like to repair and as long as you have 2 or more of the same item you can repair it by pressing the . Repairing an item takes parts from one of the items to use on the other item which increases its condition. The lower a weapons condition the less damage it does and the worse it performs. The lower the condition on Armor and the less protection you get so it pays to repair often. Now in this game, unlike Fallout 3, you can repair all the way up to 100% regardless of your Repair skill. Increasing your Repair skill on level ups however, will increase quality of repairs that you do. So if you have a 100 skill the weapon you are using will deteriorate half as fast when you use it compared to repairing with a 50 skill. Also there will be points in the game that having a decent Repair skill will be required to complete missions, I'm looking in Vault 22's direction on this one. I suggest leveling up to around at least a 50 skill level. You can also take the Jury Rigging perk if you get up to Repair 90 and then you will be able to repair from similar items instead of the exact same item, for instance you could repair a Trail Carbine with Marksman Carbine parts. Once you have repaired 30 items the trophy is yours.

Hack the Mojave
Hack 25 terminals

Hacking is is an artful skill you can use to gain information and access to special areas during your travels on the Wasteland. In some buildings you will find Terminals that tell you they are locked and can be hacked, but BEWARE!, if the Terminal begins to make electrical shorting noises get away quickly before the Terminal explodes. You will need to raise your Science skill to get into most of the Terminals. Here is a breakdown of the levels you will need:
  • Very Easy: 0-24
  • Easy: 25-49
  • Average: 50-74
  • Hard: 75-99
  • Very Hard: 100

Also the higher your skill level the fewer choices there will be for passwords on the screen so it will be much easier. Now that you know that lets have a Hacking Tutorial. When you Hack you will only get 4 opportunities to find the right word. The difficulty of the Terminal will decide the size of the words. If you use up 3 of your guesses and aren't absolutely sure on your final guess, press the to exit out and try again with a new list! Here is how hacking works:

You will start with a list of words mixed into some other random letters and symbols so here is our dummy list:

SOFA
SODA
PODS
POOL
DEEM
LOAD

Try to look for a pattern with your words such as an ending with "ING or ED" or a common beginning like "RE". In this case Soda and Sofa are similar so we will pick:

SODA
2 letters correct.

Is what we are told this means we have 2 letters correct in the right place in the word, which will rule out "SOFA" because they have 3 letters in common. Look at your word list and find the word with letters in common. The only one left will be "PODS" so we select that:

PODS
An exact match!

Selecting the brackets does not use any of your attempts at guessing the password. The enclosing brackets must be on the same line.

Here are some examples:
$^[]$#>*#&) ------ Sometimes they appear next to each other.

#<%^>&!^# ------ They can also be farther apart.

[<#>&]#$@ ------ You can have brackets within brackets, both will work.

Nonexamples:
!^!{^{&^]$ ------- Brackets must be of the same type and facing each other

#^$&<!#$ ------- Brackets must be on the same line
#>^&@#!

Typically, the more difficult the terminal, the less brackets. But on easier terminals, after using them all it can be quite easy to guess at random even.
We get some EXP and the Terminal is unlocked! Now this was a very easy list and the words will be more complex and longer on the harder Terminals, but if you follow the example it will become quite easy for you. Once you have Hacked 25 Terminals the trophy will unlock. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Other Challenges and find the associated trophy. In the spoiler below I am compiling a list of all the Terminals I can find and the difficulty, If you find some that aren't on there PM them to me or post them in the discussion with the difficulty level.

Artful Pocketer
Pick 50 pockets

In order to "pick someone's pocket" what you need to do is crouch and approach them. When you get close enough you will get a prompt that reads "Press X to pick (name)'s pocket" it will always be in red because a successful pickpocket attempt will lower your Kharma. Here are my pickpocketing tips:
  • Raise your Sneak! skill. A low Sneak skill will almost always get you caught by the person you are stealing from. I would recommend concentrating on this one of your Faction Ending Playthroughs.
  • Always do your dirty work from behind. No matter how that may sound it is the truth, unless the person you are pickpocketing is asleep they will see you no matter your Sneak skill level. I know kind of a shock huh...
  • Do your pickpocketing at night and with nobody watching you! Again same principle as above.
  • Save your game BEFORE your pickpocketing attempt to make this easier.
  • SAVE YOUR STEALTHBOYS FOR THIS TROPHY! Stealthboys seem very hard to come by in this game, I think I found maybe 5 in my adventures. If you have a Stealthboy you can steal several items from one person and as long as they are quality items, such as guns, ammo or money, you will get credit for each successful pickpocket.
  • I have found that you can only take one or two items from people before getting noticed. Once they notice you, you can't attempt another pickpocket from them, you will gain bad Infamy with that group and they will most likely attack you. You will also not get credit for the pickpocket if they catch you.
  • I recommend NOT doing this on the Caesar playthrough unless you do it BEFORE you make enemies with the NCR and everyone else. It will make this much easier because you will have more place to go to without being attacked.

Once you get 50 Successful Pickpockets the trophy will unlock for you. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Other Challenges and find the associated trophy.

Outstanding Orator
Make 50 Speech challenges

Speech challenges seem to happen A LOT in Fallout New Vegas, so if you spend some time raising your Speech skill when you level up you should reach this in no time. When you are having conversations with people a Speech challenge will either show up as [Speech 60] if you are at or above the required level to Succeed in the challenge, or it will show up as [Speech 50/60] if you aren't at the necessary level and you will Fail the Speech challenge. If you follow the Quests and do quite a few of the Side Quests you will have no problem hitting this amount even if you only level up to 75-80 on your Speech skill. Once you have achieved 50 Speech Challenges the trophy will unlock. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Now press the to go to your Other Challenges and find the associated trophy.

Desert Survivalist
Heal 10,000 points of damage with food

This is one of the more difficult trophies in the game and when I say difficult what I really mean is grinding and time consuming. You can pretty much eat anything on the Wasteland. The meat from mutated animals and insects, old food in boxes and cans, you will get HP from water and even most of the vegetation in Nevada. Below I will go through some tips to help you get this trophy faster.
  • Make sure you raise your Survival skill when you level up. The higher your Survival skill the more HP you will receive from the food you eat.
  • It is much easier to get this trophy playing with hardcore mode turned off, that way you aren't being penalized for all your ammo and will have more available weight for all the food you carry. So I would recommend getting this on one of your Faction Playthroughs after beating the game, or on an entirely New Game. I did this on a New Game and didn't even make it to the Tops to take out Benny before getting the trophy.
  • COOK YOUR FOOD!!!! Cooking your food will make the difference between getting this quickly and grinding this out forever. Most of the regular meat such as Coyote/dog, gecko, brahmin and even Bighorners can be cooked to make steaks out of regular meat. When you cook the meat into steaks it changes the attributes of the food and can take a mediocre Gecko Meat at 1-2 hps for 5 seconds up to a 5-7 hps for 15 seconds. As you progress with your Survival Skill you will also learn more recipes to make more foods. I recommend sticking to the big 4 Coyote/dog, Gecko, and Bighorner. You can find all four of these creatures easily on the Wasteland and build up a nice supply of steaks. If you cant find a campfire simply fast travel back to Goodsprings Water Source and use the campfire there. Below is the stats from the four and where to find them.
    • Name of Meat: Coyote Steaks
      Stats: HP+7 (12 seconds)
      Required Level: Survival 40 and
Where to find: Coyotes are easily found all over the Wasteland, there is a nice grove of them just up the hill to the south of Primm and more in the hills to the north of Nipton
    • Name of Meat: Dog Steak
      Stats: HP+7 (10 seconds)
      Required Level: Survival 40
Where to find: Dogs are a little harder to come by but you can usually find them in Fiend Territory or roaming around with the Legion.
    • Name of Meat: Gecko Steak
      Stats: HP+7 (15 seconds)
      Required Level: Survival 25
Where to find: This will be the first one available to you and Geckos are very easy to find. Not only that the Geckos seem to respawn over time. You can make this from any type of Geckos you kill. Head up the hill from the Goodsprings Campfire to find your first set of Geckos.
    • Name of Meat: Bighorner Steak
      Stats: HP+7 (10 seconds)
      Required Level: Survival 50
Where to find: There are two very large herds of Bighorners. The first is on the road leading to Jacobstown, the second is in the plains to the west of the Coyote Mines south of NOVAC. If you hit both of these herds you can pile up about 70 Bighorner steaks.

This takes 2 Beer, 1 Brahmin meat (Not Steak!), 1 Fresh Potato and 2 J„lapeno Peppers. It gives STR+2 for 2 in-game hours and HP+5 (1m). That's 300 HP. I'm currently level 20 and at 295 HP so one of them heals me completely. I only tend to take them during combat though so I don't waste the 5 HP's. I know I found an egg omelet somewhere before on my other PSN and it gave like HP+3 (1m) aswell. These are the foods you really wanna have. They're not rare either, beer can be found almost anywhere, Brahmins are also scattered everywhere. Potato's I somehow keep finding and the Peppers are plants so they can be picked in alot of areas in game.

  • Find good locations to grind away at your goal! You can just go drown yourself in the Colorado River or Lake Mead and then reheal, but why not grind through this while you are actually working on a mission? Seems to make more sense to me. These are a few locations I recommend to work on this on. I have found that ideal locations are places where there isn't a lot of shooting enemies but more hand to hand combat. It is also better to find places where you get attacked by only one or two enemies at a time to prevent the risk of dieing. Wen you are working on this, remove all of your armor and wait for each enemy to take down your life to a minimal amount before killing them. If they cripple one of your limbs, which seems to happen quite a bit doing this, wait until you are down to the last line or so on the healing and then open up your Pip Boy and use a Stimpak to heal your Limbs. Doing these areas should get you to your goal in no time.
    • REPCONN Missile Site: You can work on this while doing the Come Fly With Me mission. The ghouls usually attack one or two at a time and are very easy to kill. Watch out for the Roamers though they take more damage away with each attack than the normal ghouls.
    • Vault 34: Same reason as above, but in this one keep an eye on your RADS and watch out for the Glowing Ghouls.
    • Charleston Cave: Be careful doing this here as the Nightstalkers are very fast and can take away your damage very fast. This is quite a good place to work on this and you can easily gain 2000-3000 healing points in these caves.
    • Vault 22: This place feels like it was put in the game just for this purpose. The Spore Carriers will usually only attack one at a time and can take down enough energy with each hit that this won't take all day. There is also a nice supply of Large mantises and Spore Plants. You can easily gain 4000-5000 points just in this vault if you move from enemy to enemy healing in between. I used up my final 2000 points for this trophy in this area in about 20-30 minutes.

Old-Tyme Brawler
Cause 10,000 damage with Unarmed weapons

For this trophy you must get 10,000 points of damage on enemies as a cumulative total of all your Unarmed Weapons. This trophy must be achieved on ONE playthrough! To make this easier remember to use your leveling up point totals to increase your Unarmed and the weapons will cause more damage. The Unarmed Weapons are much easier than the Melee. As soon as you get the Power Fist, which you get pretty early, put it on and start beating people down. It takes them down extremely fast, and doesn't lose its condition. When you get the Ballistic Fist change to that but remember it will deteriorate condition wise. With the Unarmed Weapons you will get 2 shots in the VATS, but you can also just press the to swing at enemies and take them out. There are certain individuals you can find in your travels that will also teach you other Unarmed Fighting techniques as well. To view your progress on this trophy, pull up your Pip Boy with the then press the to go to the Data Menu, then go to Notes and press the . Caravan Master
Win 30 games of Caravan

Caravan is a card game that was added to the Fallout series as a supplement to the Strip Casinos. You will find several Caravan gamblers on the Wasteland and if you get good at the game you can earn A LOT of caps if you find the right people to play. Once you WIN 30 games of Caravan you will earn this trophy. Follow my hints below to win at Caravan on a regular basis and get this trophy in no time. Below that will be a list of Caravan players available. Finally underneath all of that is a video to help you if the typed out explanations don't work for you.
  • The first thing you need to do is find cards to play with. You can get a starter deck from Ringo at the Gas Station in Goodsprings! You can get this at the very beginning of the game and IMO you don't really need any other cards than those. Make sure you talk to him about Caravan and not Joe Cobb or you may have to finish his side mission before you can get the cards.
  • Now that you have your starter deck you can start playing people. You need to WIN 30 games and can play A LOT of games with the same player. I have noticed it seems some of the players are much better and luckier than others so try to play as many games as you can against subpar players to make this easier.
  • The game will start with each person making three piles. You want to put the highest cards that you have down first. Now I have noticed that on the initial set down you can discard cards by pressing the when you have the card selected and NOT lose a turn. This only works in the initial pile set up!
  • Now your goal on each pile is to get as close to 26 without going over as you possibly can without going over. From the top card on the pile, you have to put down a card with a smaller number as the next card. so if you have a 10 on top it must be a 9 or smaller. So it's better to move down in increments.
  • You CAN put down the same number or higher than the top card if the card you are putting down is the same suit! So if you have a 6 of Spades showing, you can put down a 7 of Spades. Once you do this, however, the count will start going up instead of down, so your next card must be higher than 7.
  • Aces count as 1.
  • Face Cards: Face Cards do special things when you play, and can be placed on your cards OR your opponents cards!
    • Jacks: These will remove whatever card from the pile you place them on. So if your opponent has 26, place a Jack on one of his high cards to remove it and bring his points down. Also if you place a Jack on a card that has been doubled with a King it will remove the King AND the card it was doubling.
    • Queens: Queens will reverse the order of the count. So if you get to a low number and need to go back up, place a Queen.
    • Kings: Kings will double any card you place them on. They DO NOT double the count for the entire pile, just the card they are on. If your opponent has a 26 place a King on one of his high cards to put them over and they will almost always discard the entire pile and start over.
    • Jokers: Allegedly Jokers will remove all the cards of the same suit from the pile. I'm not sure how they work exactly as they didn't work when I used them so if you know let me know and ill add it.

The Courier Who Broke the Bank
Get banned from all the Strip's casinos

There are three major Casinos on The Strip that you need to get banned from for this trophy, The Luxe, The Tops, and the Gomorrah. The Gomorrah is located across the street from the Lucky 38 in the first section, and the Tops and the Luxe are both in the second section. To earn this trophy you don't need to get banned from the entire casino, just from any gambling. Because of this I'm almost positive this has to be done by gambling and not by shooting up the place. If anyone finds out differently let me know. Now during your gambling run, the Casino keeps a cumulative tally of how much you have one at the casino, so I don't believe you need to do this all at once. I did it all at once but if anyone does it over time and multiple visits let me know. During your winning, as your amounts increase, the floor manager will occasionally come over and give you small presents, or a suite key, or other gifts, I was given a set of Combat Armor at the Gomorrah. Once your winnings are high enough they will come over and tell you that you can't gamble there anymore. You can still roam around in the casinos and cash in your chips so don't worry about that. Now I recommend this approach to make this easier.
First head to the cashier and get some Chips from any of the money you have collected. I recommend starting with 500 chips. From here seek out your preferred game of choice to go play. Save before you start playing and while you are playing every 1000 chips or so you gain exit off the table and save again in case you get on a losing streak. Always use the Max Bet to make this go faster. This will make this go by quite fast. The Higher your Luck skill the easier this trophy will be! There is a small Medical Center to the right of the strip by the Caravan place that can give you an implant for 4000 caps to improve your Luck. Each casino has a different level of winnings you will need to obtain to get banned:
  • Gomorrah: Around 9,000 caps winnings
  • The Tops: Around 10,000 caps winnings
  • The Luxe: Around 15,000 caps winnings

There are three choices for the gambling, 21, Roulette, and slots. I put those in the order that I think this would be the easiest to obtain. Now everyone will have their own strategy for the gambling, I am going to post what I did on 21 for the trophy. Now this may sound funny since I am from Nevada, but I don't know the rules very well for Roulette, so if someone does or has tips to get this on Roulette post them in the discussion, or PM me and if they are good I will add them.

21 Tips and how to play
For anyone who is unfamiliar with 21, the object is to get closer to 21 than the dealer WITHOUT going over. Now naturally the dealer has the advantage in this game but if Rain Man can break the casino and he was a ruhtard so can you. All the cards have their face values on the cards, Jacks, Queens and Kings all count for 10 and Aces can count as either 1 or 11. Now make sure you make the Max Bet which is 200 chips and press the to have the dealer deal to you. If you happen to get a 21 on the initial deal and the dealer doesn't you will get a payout of 300 chips for an instant win. If the dealer gets 21 on the opening deal and you don't he automatically wins. From here assess your cards and the dealers cards. anything below a 16 you should hit on by pressing the . Now for the tricky part. If you have a 16 or 17 you have to make a tough decision to stand with the or hit with the . If the dealer is showing any type of 10 you should hit because they usually have a 10 in the hole, not always but often. anything that is 18 or above you should stay on. I have noticed that if it seems like the dealer is on a lucky streak of 20s, if you exit the table and come back they aren't quite as lucky anymore. The dealer will always stand at 16 or higher! So if you have a 19 and the dealer deals himself up to a 16 he won't keep hitting to try to win. Doubling Down tips When you double down you bet a double bet on the 2 cards you have showing from your initial deal. this can be useful of you have two 10's showing. Now you only get one more card so if you get a high card you can win on both hands, BUT if you get a low card you can't hit again and are at the mercy of that hand. I recommend staying away from the Double Down unless you are quite good at it. Remember to press the to leave the table and save once you get up every 1000 chips or so and if you start losing bad just reload your save to not lose a bunch of chips. Do this properly and you can get banned from all three casinos in about an hour to an hour and a half for the trophy.

Enter one of the casinos and buy 2000 chips. I say 2000 chips so you can create a limit that you will go to till you re-load your save which is explained below.
Approach a roulette table and then create a new save. You will use this save throughout the entire process as you win/lose.
Once you save, enter a game of roulette. The goal here is to bet your max chips (200) on double 0 (00) green. Continue to bet on this until you use up your entire 2000 chips.
If you do not hit a double 0 green in you 2000 chips, simply reload and start over.
Once you hit, you will win around 7000 chips. As as you hit, save over the previous save and continue the process above.
Do not stray away from the goal and continue to bet on double 0 green until you are banned in all 3 casinos.

It took me about 30-35 minutes to get banned from all 3 casinos. I hit a double 00 green twice in a row from the Tops which is around 1400 chips. This is the fastest way I can find for someone with low luck like myself.

Hardcore
Play the game from start to finish in Hardcore Mode

You will get the option to choose Hardcore Mode at the very end of the first mission/tutorial level Ain't That a Kick in the Head. As you are leaving the good doctor's office he will ask you if you want to put on Hardcore Mode. Now you have to make a decision. If you choose Hardcore mode, you can turn it off at any time if the game becomes too difficult for you. That being said, if you choose NO when you are asked, you CANNOT turn it on again later and will have to start over, AND if you select YES then turn it off, you CANNOT turn it back on again. You also CANNOT select hardcore mode from the main menu screen. Hardcore Mode is not nearly as tough as it sounds, below are some tips to help you playthrough the game on Hardcore mode.

Hardcore Mode Tips and Strategy
  • Hardcore mode has nothing to do with the games difficulty level. You can play in any combination of Hardcore mode and difficulty, even Hardcore/Very Easy and still get the trophy.
  • In Hardcore Mode you have to balance out your Sleep, Food and Water levels. The levels will show up in your HUD above your HP. If you can't see anything, then you are fine. When you start to need something it will first show up as a dim warning such as FOD, SLP and H2O and you will get an onscreen notification. If you choose not to do anything about it, the next warning will be brightly lit, followed by one more warning as the color turns red. After this if you still don't do anything it is entirely possible that you will die from either Starvation, Dehydration or Sleep Deprivation.
  • Food: Food is very easy to come by as you can either buy it from vendors, find it in buildings or on abandoned boxes or crates on the Wasteland or acquire it either off the enemies you kill or from killing mutated animals and insects and searching their corpses. Food will most likely be the middle of your worries.
  • Sleep: Sleep is by far the least of your worries. The Sleep meter moves very slowly and I think on my playthrough I only slept about 10 times at the most. You can sleep anywhere you can find a bed, which is pretty much everywhere, as long as their are no enemies around you. Remember if the Bed is Red you will lose Karma for sleeping there.
  • Water: H20 is the only difficult thing about the Hardcore mode, and is only difficult in the beginning of the game. Water depletes fairly quick so you should always try to keep a decent supply of Purified and Dirty Water on you at all times. It will take 1-2 bottles of water to move from the 1st warning back to normal levels. Now that being said remember this, You can drink water from any water source: sinks, toilets, hell even the damn Colorado River and Lake Mead if you need it.. Drink from wherever you need then either take a Rad-Away or see a doctor to remove your radiation. You can even take the Lead Belly perk and really not even worry about where you drink your water. You will get an apartment in NOVAC the farther you get into the game if you help everyone in NOVAC and will have your own sink to drink from whenever you want so after that point it really isn't that big of a deal. Also remember that some foods and both Nuka Cola and Sunset Sarsparilla will make NOT quench your thirst, instead they will do the exact opposite when you drink them.
  • On Hardcore mode, all the Ammo also has weight so you need to be choosy about your ammo and only pick up what you need for the weapons you are carrying. If you notice that you are having trouble staying under the weight limit, check through your ammo and see if there is anything you don't need. Another good option for this is to give items to your companions to carry to lighten the load then get them back later to either sell or store away. The Stronger that you are the more you can carry so if you need to visit the Dr at the New Vegas Medical Center to the right of the strip and have her raise your strength for 4000 caps, or if you are in a pinch eat something that has a bonus of +1 STR to get a temporary boost to carry more.
  • On Hardcore mode, your Companions can DIE! Unlike the regular mode they will NOT come back to life and you will fail their missions. Make sure you pay attention to where you are going and know your companions. If you are going somewhere with a lot of enemies you will notice that the damn AI for the enemies will go for your companion first. If you have a Companion that is a Melee attacker such as Rex or Veronica it is better to tell them to wait and then go clear the enemies out and then go back and get them. Also make sure you don't kill your companion, they like to frequently run into the line of fire. On that note, when you go to see the Boomer's for the first time, tell your companion to wait on the road by the guy who makes the bet with you because odds are they will get blown all to hell. If your companion dies, if you haven't finished their mission you will need to reload a previous save or autosave to bring them back.

Ring-a-Ding-Ding
Completed Ring-a-Ding-Ding

At the conclusion of the Ring a Ding Ding mission it is best to start making your extra save files for your 4 faction endings. I recommend 3 but you can make 4 or more if you feel more comfortable that way. You can can wait and do some side missions first to build up your character, just be careful that you don't accidentally do too many side missions for one faction that may take away the missions from another facton. Come Fly With Me
Completed Come Fly With Me

To start this mission you will need to head to NOVAC. Like all the other missions let me split this into sections, then I will walk through each section to give a brief explanation.
  1. Head to the NOVAC and head into the Dinky Dinosaur to speak to Manny Vargas to start the mission
**NOVAC will be marked as a main story mission and you can find Manny in the mouth of Dinky the Dinosaur during the DAY ONLY!. He will give you this mission for you to finish in exchange for information when you are finished.
  2. Head to the REPCONN Rocket Facility and find Jason Bright
**Once you get inside the facility, you will be instructed to come meet Jason Bright. Work your way through the facility until you find the locked door with an intercom. Speak into the intercom and the door will be unlocked for you. Listen to the Wannabe Ghoul and then find Jason bright and listen to his story and agree to help and he will give you the basement key.
  3. Get the Nightkins to leave the Lower Area of the facility
**When you first get into the basement you will encounter Nightkins. They are very strong, blue versions of Super Mutants that like to use Melee Weapons and Stealth Boys to be sneaky. When you get down there, head down the corridor to your left, and then take your first right to find Davison. Listen to his story and either agree to help him, or kill him along with all the other Nightkin. If you decide to help him you will need to find out what happened to the Stealth Boy shipment. Head back out to the hallway and turn right to come to a locked door and use Davison's key to get in and find Harland. Listen to Harland's story and either agree to help him find his friend, who is in a cell in the very bottom of the Nightkin area, OR decide not to help him. You need to go through the door on the right and up the stairs to the Terminal to find out what happened to the Stealth Boys. IF YOU DON"T HELP HARLAND HE WILL ATTACK YOU WHEN YOU GO UPSTAIRS! If you do help him he will leave the area. Once you have discovered the info on the Stealth Boys return to Davison and the Nightkin will leave. Once they leave return to Jason Bright and let him know the path is clear and he will ask you to meet him in the lower levels.
  4. Help repair the Rockets
**When you reach the lower levels you will learn that the rockets need to be repaired. Chris will tell you what you need to find for him to fix them and he will mark them on your map. you will need two items:
    • Atomic Fuel: Head to Clark Field, which is marked on your map just East of NOVAC and you will see a dead person in a yellow Radiation Suit. Search the body to find the Isotope-239 Igniting Agent, return the fuel to Chris.
    • Control Modules: You can get these from Old Lady Gibson in Gibson's Scrap Yard, but you will have to pay 500 caps for them, unless you have either a Barter 50 or Speech 50 to cut the price in half. If you have the Lady Killer Perk you can even get them for free! Once you have these return them to Chris and he fixes the rockets.

  5. Launch the Rockets
**Once Chris repairs the rockets, speak to him again to start the launch process. Once the process starts, head back down the corridor to the Viewing Platform and decide the Ghouls' fate. After they launch and you watch the scene the mission ends and you get your trophy and can return to Manny for your information.

  1. Head to the ACES Theater and speak with Tommy Torini to start the mission
**When you head into the Tops Casino, head straight up the stairs directly in front of you and upstairs is the Aces Lounge and Theater
  2. Recruit Billy Knight
**Billy Knight is the easiest to find as he is right outside the casino by the entrance to the first section of the Strip. If you have a Barter 25 you can do his challenge which will ultimately get you more caps at the end of the mission
  3. Recruit the Lonesome Drifter
**The Drifter is on the main road by the Sunset Sarsparilla billboard to the right of the Dry Lake. If you have a Barter 50 you can acquire a special Revolver from him. Be careful wandering out onto the Dry Lake, The harmless Ants that are roaming around out there are the more irritating and dangerous Fire Ants and should be dealt with from a distance!
  4. Recruit Isaac
**Isaac is located in the third room, upstairs in the NOVAC Inn.
  5. Recruit Hadrian
**The Ghoul is located in the Atomic Wrangler on stage. You will need to get Hadrian out of his contract with the Garretts which can be difficult depending on your progress to this point. You can either pay, or if you have a Speech 50 or Barter 50 you can do this without paying. Once you are finished return to see Tommy a final time for your total pay and your trophy.

Return to Sender
Completed Return to Sender

To start this mission you will need to Head to Camp Forlorn Hope which is to the right of HELIOS one and NOVAC in the hills. Like all the other missions let me split this into sections, then I will walk through each section to give a brief explanation.
  1. Head to Camp Forlorn Hope and speak with Reyes in the Command Center to start the mission
**Once you get to the Camp head to the Command Tent and on the left side you will find Tech SGT Reyes. She is the girl with the red hair sitting in a chair on the Communications Center.
  2. Upgrade Ranger Station Alpha
**This station is to the upper right of Boulder City.
  3. Upgrade Ranger Station Bravo
**This one is quite tricky to get to, especially if you aren't strong enough. From the upper right of your map you will see a road that travels out to the right above Lake Mead and ends up at Bravo. Now once you are on the road, MAKE SURE YOU SAVE! If you are playing on Hardcore and have Companions you may want to tell them to stay put while doing this on your own so they don't die. Now hug the left side of the road all the way against the Mountain wall and hope that the Deathclaws that inhabit the Mill on the other side of the road don't see you and you only run into a young Deathclaw or two. Once you get to where the rocks change colors you need to watch out for something new. Cazadors, which aren't all that strong unless they are in a swarm. Once you get out to where the area opens up head North to the Station and find the Comm Officer.
  4. Upgrade Ranger Station Charlie
**This Station is south of NOVAC on the train tracks, and depending on what side missions you have done may or may not have inhabitants.
  5. Upgrade Ranger Station Delta
**Delta is north of Camp Forlorn Hope and is right on the road next to an abandoned House.
  6. Upgrade Ranger Station Echo
**From Camp Forlorn Hope head to the south to find Echo in the mountains.
  7. Upgrade Ranger Station Foxtrot
**Foxtrot is another one that is very hard to reach. If you head towards there from the strip, you will eun into a LARGE swarm of Cazadors at . Instead Fast Travel to Jacobstown if you have been there, if not, see the Globe Trotter trophy for info on how to get there, and come into the station from above. You will still encounter a couple of Cazadors, but they will be sporadic and much easier to handle.
  8. Check the reports with the three Ranger Stations for Reyes.
**After you have upgraded all the stations, return to see Reyes and she will ask you to check on some strange reports. This is much easier now that you can fast travel to them all. Talk to the Rangers in charge, then return to see Reyes.
  9. Travel to Camp Golf and speak with Chief Hanlon
**Next up Camp Golf, which is located on the Northern Shore of Lake Mead almost directly South of Delta Station. You will find Hanlon inside the large main building and not in any of the tents. If it is night he will be asleep and won't talk to you. Wait until it's day and he will be on the deck directly above the entrance which you can reach from the inside. Once you confront him he will ask you to follow him to his office to continue the discussion. This one is straight forward and you can choose his fate at the end. I would recommend not attacking him though unless you want to fight your way out of Camp Golf. When you are done return to Reyes for the trophy.

Completed That Lucky Old Sun

To start this mission you will need to Head to HELIOS One Solar Power Plant which is located North up the road from NOVAC. Like all the other missions let me split this into sections, then I will walk through each section to give a brief explanation.
  1. Speak with Lt. Haggerty in front of HELIOS One to start the mission.
**When you arrive in front of HELIOS one you will be confronted by Lt. Haggerty who asks what you are doing there. From here you have some choices, you can use a Stealthboy to Sneak around her and enter the compound, if your Speech or Science is 30 or above you can use these challenges OR if you have a Neutral or higher reputation with the NCR you can tell her you are here to help.
  2. Search out and speak to Fantastic.
**There isn't really anything valuable in the compound to find so just find Fantastic and listen to all the bile coming from his mouth and he will give you the Western Terminal Password. If you have snuck in you can Pickpocket him or kill him for the password.
  3. Speak to Ignacio
**Ignacio is in the next room. If you have a Speech 35 skill speak to him until you receive the Eastern Terminal Password.
  4. Connect the East and the West Reflectors
**After speaking with Ignacio head through the door by him and into the open of the Solar panels. Find the two fenced in areas and watch out for the traps and enter the two passwords to align the reflectors.
  5. Restore power to the Main Frame and Repair the Generator
**Head into the building in the middle of all the reflectors and if you have any Pulse Weapons pull them out. Head into the room on the right and if you have a Science 25 or above you can turn off the Turrets. Fight your way through the robots to the main Control Room. Now once you are in here you need to fix the Generator you can either repair it with a piece of Scrap metal if you have a Repair 35 OR if you have a Science 45 and have found one of the two Poseidon Energy Employee ID cards in the area, climb the stairs to find PYTHON the maintenance drone and activate him and he will fix it for you.
  6. Setup the Main Frame and activate the Reflectors
**Once you have repaired the generator, activate the Terminal and go to Configure the Power Grid and make any selection you want depending on your factions. The only choice for NCR fame is the Las Vegas Strip, all the rest is for the Followers. Now head up the stairs and once you are outside go to the only Panel you can use and as long as its between 9AM and 3PM you can activate the panels and complete your mission for the trophy. If the time is wrong press the and just wait until the time you need.

Volare!
Completed Volare!

To start this mission you will first need to make it to Nellis AFB which is down the Upper most road to the right of the Strip on the map. Like all the other missions let me split this into sections, then I will walk through each section to give a brief explanation.
  1. Head to Nellis AFB and meet with Pearl to start the mission.
**First to get to Nellis head up the upper most road to the right and you will meet a man who will offer you a tip for 300 caps. He says if you make it he will give you double! Take his bet, because he actually pays, and if you have a companion tell them to wait there. Now when you start don't stop until you get to the proper areas! head straight into the first destroyed house on the left and get into the corner of the two walls that are still in one piece and crouch down and wait there for them to stop bombing to reload. As soon as they stop, stand up and run out of the left side and continue to run towards the fence of the Airbase. Your goal is to reach the fence before they start to fire again. You shouldn't have any trouble reaching the fence and once you do they will stop firing. Now head around the fence to the right and when you reach the gate the Boomer's will automatically take you to see pearl.
  2. Increase your reputation with the Boomer's to Idolized by doing some of these sidequests.

  4. See Loyal and he will tell of the Bomber and give you the Ballast and Detonator
  5. Find Jack in the Hanger to get a Rebreather.
**Jack will be in the Hangar and he will ask you to find him the ingredients necessary to make the Rebreather. If you have a Science 45 you can bypass looking for supplies and he will make it for you right away.
  6. Head to Lake Mead and raise the Bomber.
**Head to Calville Bay on the Northernmost Shore of Lake Mead and go to your Apparel on your Pip Boy and equip the Rebreather device so you can breath under water. Make sure you keep an eye out for an angry swarm of young Cazadors that live in the warehouse on the Bay. Once you are ready head into the water and head straight for the Bomber. Once you get to the Bomber, head to the highlighted area under each wing and press the to attach the Ballast when you are prompted. Once the Ballasts are attached you should head south from the tail of the plane to an outcropping of rocks and locate the Lake Mead Cave here to add it to your map so you don't have to come back when you are getting the locations trophy. Now head back to shore and head into your weapons and select the Detonator. When you are at a good distance the Detonator will Beep and press the to detonate the ballasts and raise the Bomber.

To start this mission you will first need to make it to Sunset Sarsparilla Headquarters which is to the left of Camp McCarran on the West side of the Strip. Like all the other missions let me split this into sections, then I will walk through each section to give a brief explanation.
