[top]Tips & Strategies

  • The Trick : To perform the SELECT trick, start a race or challenge and then when the countdown says GO! press SELECT and then to choose any car to complete that Race/Challenge.
  • Doppler Trucks : These are handy for finding Challenges, Vistas and Liveries in a region. Just win a certain race on any difficulty to unlock a Doppler Truck for that region.

[top]Roadmap

Step 1 : Single-Player
This step will take around 40-60 Hours.
This is where the majority of the trophies will be earned in this game. Play through the game naturally collecting Liveries and Vistas as well as completing Challenges and Races, and most of the trophies will pop during this time. It is recommended that you complete each region before moving onto the next as this will make the trophies come quicker and will be less repetitive when hunting for some of the trophies.
Step 2 : Online
This step will take around 2-3 Hours.
This step will require one other player. Refer to the guides below on how to get them as none of them are challenging. This step can be done at anytime.
Step 3 : Clean-Up
This step depends on how many trophies you have remaining.
If you have missed any trophies, now is the time to get them. Refer to the trophies below for how to acquire them. Once all trophies have been earned, the well earned Platinum is yours!

Hello, world!
In free ride, go from Offshore Shack Camp to Tsunami Reef Camp without resorting to the chopper.

There are two ways this trophy can be acquired, the easy way and the hard way, the easy way is to click one of the found vistas or liveries in the surrounding area to the northwest or south. Open up the spoiler below to see a picture of the area around the Offshore Shack Camp and the Tsunami Reef Camp. Then teleport to the Offshore Shack Camp and open up your map with and choose one of the mentioned livery/vista locations before and have a short 5 minute drive to the camp for this Bronze Trophy. The harder way is to drive there properly; this will take around 25-35 minutes depending on the car used. Using The Bullet I was able to do this in 32 minutes.

Born under a lucky star
Win your first Star in career mode.

This trophy can easily be acquired after you first start the game. After the first cutscene, a brief tutorial will happen. After this you will be on the main menu for when you are in a camp. From this menu select Career and chose any of the 3 races available. I personally would recommend 'Lakeside Run' which is a short checkpoint race, in a buggy which are easier to control than bikes. After completing the race in 1st place on any of the difficulties, you will earn this easy bronze trophy.

Open your eyes
Find and contemplate a Vista Point.

Vista Points are landmarks dotted around the world of FUEL, providing the best views the game has to offer. There are 95 of these scattered around the 19 Regions. At first, Vista Points are not shown on your map, you will need to take down the appropriate Doppler Truck to show the Vista Points on the map. For the first region, Offshore Shack, the Vista Point Doppler Truck is unlocked after earning one or more stars in the Circuit Race 'The High Octane Inn' after this find the Green Arrow marking the Doppler Truck on your minimap (check the spoiler below to see what a Doppler Truck looks like) and crash into it on Free Roam. This will unlock all Vista Points in that region. Drive to one of these, which are marked as green circles with a flag in them. After getting to any of the Vista Points marked on your map, the trophy will unlock.

Here comes a new challenger!
Win a challenge.

Challenges are exactly what it says, they are various objectives you have been to set to do. These can be things such as: Time Trials, Following Helicopters and destroying various vehicles and trucks. This trophy requires you to complete 1 of the 190 challenges in FUEL, there are 10 challenges per region and all challenges can be discovered in each by hitting the appropriate Challenges Doppler Truck, which is shown on the map by a red arrow. For the Offshore Shack region this is unlocked by winning 'The Leap of Faith' on any difficulty. To earn the trophy you must complete any of the 190 challenges. I personally would recommend 'Speed Run' as this is the easiest challenge and can be done straight after the first cutscene similar to the Born under a lucky star trophy. After winning your first challenge, the trophy will unlock.

DIY
Create a race using the race editor.

The race editor mode is unlocked from the start of the game and can be accessed in the camp menu. Then press Create New Race and place down any number of points on the map using . After you are happy with the race pressand then Save & Quit to earn this easy Bronze Trophy.
