[top]Tips & Strategies

The Historian is glitched, if this happens to you the only thing you can do is delete your save data and start again .

So, thankfully I didn't have to do the entire game all over again for the 4th time!! If it worked for me and someone else, I'm sure it'll do the trick for a lot of people!!
Expert of War its self is not glitched, but many players stats have been lowered or completely reset. It is not known why this happens, but you can back up your Profile Data. This enables you to get your stats back if you do fall victim to this glitch. You should save your Profile Data on either the Cloud (if you have PS Plus), a Flash Drive or a spear External Hard Drive. Back up your Profile Data regularly and often.

When playing on Guerilla always go for head shots, keep in cover and watch for the grenades. The grenades are not spammed at you like World at War, but it can still annoy you. You may find it easier to play the game on normal before going for the Guerilla playthough.

The MP has lag/freeze issues and I would suggest boosting explosives, drone and vehicle kills. Once you you unlock Grizzled in your Abilities, use it to get to level 50 real fast ! After this remove it and use Abilities which will help to get kills with the weapons you need kills.
All online trophies can be boosted, use the Official Boosting Thread to get them much quicker.

Thanks to gamerfourlife99 and kardsharpGaming of YouTube for the Guerilla walkthough videos.

Pistol Whipped
Kill 25 enemies with a pistol in Chapter 1: Why We Fight.

All you have to do this trophy is kill 25 enemies with the pistol in charter 1 (like it says in the description ). The first gun is a pistol, Hold to aim and press to fire. I would go for this trophy on your first playthrough, even if your playing on Guerilla difficulty, any kills you get with the pistol count even after you've died or replay the chapter.

[top]
Give Him the Stick
Kill 25 enemies with melee attacks in Chapter 1: Why We Fight.

All you have to do this trophy is kill 25 enemies with melee in charter 1 (like it says in the description ). You knife people by pressing . I would go for this trophy after you have done your other playthroughs. Make much easier on your self and play on Easy difficulty. Any kills you got in previous playthroughs count, don't worry about dying as them kills are included in the total. If you could just farm the some enemies over and over.

1-Andrew: Right after you exit the building you will go down the stairs, there will be a man to the left at a table working with some car batteries. Talk to him by pressing .
2-Sally: After talking to him you and Boone will enter a house, when the door opens you will see a woman cooking, talk to her.
3-Janice: After talking to Sally look left and you will see the woman you saved in the previous chapter on a couch with a baby, talk to her.

Good Use of Cover
Destroy the first sentry without taking any damage in Chapter 2: Freedom.

This on is easier than you may think. The sentry is the massive gun with the blue laser scanner. When Boone (the black dude) will go first to the first bit of cover, then you should watch the laser and memorize its scan patten. When you think its clear run to the cover Boone is hiding behind and repeat this process. When you get close enough to it throw a grenade at it and it will blow up. If the sentry hits you, you can reload the checkpoint and try again... or let it kill you. If you have done this chapter already you can go straight to this part of the chapter by going: Single Player > Mission Selection > Freedom > Scout the Sentry.

Complete the street section without Goliath taking any damage in Chapter 4: The Wall.

This one can be hard and annoying, it will take a few tries, its best to do this on Easy difficulty. What you have to do is spot the enemies with the RPGs and you need to kill them before they shot your Goliath. Halfway though the ally there is a checkpoint, this is good because if Goliath gets hit after the checkpoint you can reload it and try again. In the spoiler its a video to show you how to do it. Thanks to jagriff333 of YouTube for the video.

When your fighting the KPA on the Golden Gate Bridge in the a helicopter will shoot you off the road onto the walkway below. Now all you have to do is run or jump of the side into the water. If you have done this chapter already you can go straight to this part of the chapter by going: Single Player > Mission Selection > Golden Gate > Underneath the Deck.

For this easy trophy you need to find one News Pickup. See Historian for more info.

[top]
Stairway to Heaven
From the front door of the church, make it to the crow's nest in 240 seconds in Chapter 5: Heartland.

For this trophy you have to get from the front door to the sniping position at the top of the church. You have 4 minutes to do this and it can easily be done on Normal difficulty. I may take a few ties for you to remember were the enemies are, but you can always put it on Easy so the AI dies quicker. If you have done this chapter already you can go straight to this part of the chapter by going: Single Player > Mission Selection > Heartland > Sunday Mass. First off you need to kill the two dudes out side the door then the two that come from both sides of the church. Then three enemies will exit the church though the front door, kill them. Now enter the front door and run up the stairs on the left, shot the guy with his head sticking out across the walkway and then the enemy that will hid behind the boarded up doorway. Now throw some nades down the floor below and work you way around the walkway shooting any enemies that pop out/shot at you. climb the stair and shot the enemy hiding behind the door way, run to were the arrow tells you and that's it.

Speed Demon
Hijack the tankers in less than 8 minutes in one life in Chapter 6: Overwatch.

This one can be tricky, don't worry about this until you have done you 1st playthough. this way you will know what to do and were the enemies are. Its easy do do it in under 8 minutes, its the one life (meaning you cant die) that's the problem. If your not sure how to do it there is yet another video made by Flowin92 of YouTube in the spoiler.

Destroy all the SAM trucks in the level in Chapter 6: Overwatch.

This trophy is very easy. In Chapter 6 you will be flying a helicopter, targets will come up in red diamonds. Ideally you should blow all the targets, as there can kill you and your team mates. However for this trophy you only need to blow up the SAMs. this video will show you all the SAMs, thanks to samdaman118 of YouTube for making it.

[top]
Weapon Expert
Complete an expert challenge for any weapon in Multiplayer.

This trophy requires you to get 200 kills with any of the 12 primary weapons. I suggest using the M4, due to the fact that it's a default gun and it pretty good. If you solely focus on getting the 200 kills without going for any other challenges, you could get this in 2 hours. If you work on other challenges at the same time, it may take 3 to 5 hours.

[top]
Drone Expert
Complete an expert challenge for any drone in Multiplayer.

This requires you to get 200 kills/marks with any of the 4 drones. I suggest waiting until you unlock the Parrot, this is the drone used for marking. When you use it, enemies will appear in a white diamond. Press and the white diamond will turn to red, which means you have marked that person. This will only take you about half the time to complete compared to the 3 other drones. If you good/lucky, you can get around 50 marks a match.

[top]
Vehicle Expert
Complete an expert challenge for any vehicle in Multiplayer.

This trophy requires you to get 200 kills with any of the 5 vehicles. I find the Scout and Attack Helicopters to be the easiest to get kills with because you get flares and you get an over the top view. With the other vehicles there is a greater chance of being killed. This shouldn't take to long either, especially if you are/have a good pilot. The most kills I ever got in 1 usage of the Scout Heli was 30 kills.

[top]
Expert of War
Complete all challenges for weapons, drones, vehicles and modes in Multiplayer.

For this trophy you need 6000 kills, 200 marks and 300 wins, this will take a very long time. However, this can be boosted and I would do this if you wanted to keep your sanity. On second thoughts you'll probably lose it boosting too. You will still need to play legit to get kills when there is no one to boost with.
This requires you need to complete all gun, drone, vehicle and mode challenges. Here's how it pans out:

Assault Rifles (200 kills each)

M4
M16
T3AK
ACR
Scar-L
XM10

Over the Hill
Reach experience level 50 in Multiplayer.

Reaching level 50 in MP won't take you too long. It will come naturally while going for Expert of War. I suggest playing Battle Commander while going for this because of the extra points you get for killing a threat. You should use the Grizzled perk, which costs 3 Ability Points, as it gives you extra XP. You need 420,000 XP to reach level 50. Here is a full brake down of the ranking system TCE Squad - Homefront Ranks/Upgrades chart

[top]
Squad Commander
Enter a public match as the Party Leader of a 4-Player Minimum Party in Multiplayer.

This is another easy trophy, bearing in mind disconnections and/or getting booted. Just get a couple buddies together and join a game mode of your choice. There you have it, a nice and easy bronze.

[top]
Medal of Honor
Win a public match as the Party Leader of a Party in Multiplayer..

Easy, just find someone here on the forums or one of your friends, invite them, join a match with them and wait to win. It may take a couple matches but you should get this no problem.

[top]
Full Boat
Enter a public match in a Party with 16 players in Multiplayer.

This trophy can be troublesome. The fact that you have to get 16 people together at once is one thing, but then factoring in people's game freezing (possibly), stuck loading, or staying in a lobby long enough for the opposing team to get enough players to start or even getting into a match. This trophy WILL REQUIRE BOOSTING. I doubt that 15 other people on your friends list have the game and are all online at the same time. So go to the Official Boosting Thread and join or create a boosting team. Good luck

[top]
3- Star Threat
Become a 3-Star Threat in a Battle Commander public match.

[top]
5- Star Threat
Become a 5-Star Threat in a Battle Commander public match.

Battle Commander uses the game modes Skirmish, Team Deathmatch and Ground Control. The only thing different is that players get star ranks ratings. The way you gain stars is by killing the enemy team either with your character, a drone or a vehicle. Once you receive a star, you show up on the enemies map, the bigger the threat you are the more of the other team will start coming after you. Even getting the 3 -Star Threat can be tedious. It's difficult to get this trophy by just running out and going Rambo. You will get frustrated with this trophy. I would say the best place to try this is playing Battle Commander Ground Control. There a many different ways to get this trophy but the 3 I highly recommend are:
1. Either trying to get this from a helicopter whether it be yours or one of your team mates.
2. Getting a sniper rifle and sitting back. Climb a building or go prone in the grass, whatever you decide. Just sit back and cover a flag.
3. Get your best Assault Rifle, LMG or SMG and go to a spot that is a fair distance away from a flag but to where you still would have good aim and can kill fairly quickly.
You have to be careful and look out for any enemy drones or vehicle. I would suggest having the EMP Grenade and a RPG as backups in case of emergency. Just remember to think logically and think ahead that way you won't make stupid mistakes.

You can also Boost this trophy. You will need 16 players to make sure no randoms can get in to your match. Very simple to do, just have the players on the KPA side run into the middle of the map constantly and all the players on the US side kill them/tag them until they have 5 stars. Once a player has 5 stars they should stop to allow other team mates to reach 5 stars.

If you not into boosting here a great tip from Blackfox34.

NOTE: it takes 45 marks to get 5 stars.

Add the parrot drone

I did it on farm, but it can be done on any map as long as you can hide well.

At the start of the map I started on the side opposite of the factory, so behind me there is a wooden bridge. I ran all the way to the back of the bridge on and went to the bottom of it and crawled up inside the bridge, very good hiding space to do this.

I used the parrot drone, flew all the way over to the factory side of the map. When fighting over the middle position (what each team starts with) the other team spawns at the factory walls/rocky area. There is a silo with no roof and I hovered over there while tagging enemies while they spawned. Took 2-3 drone before I got it to the 5-star level due to my team pushing the enemy back. But as long as you can hover and tag the people quickly, its hard to get noticed and you can lower yourself down into the silo for cover or fly back through the factory.

As long as you tag enough people you can reach a 5-star wanted level and the trophy will pop.

In short:

Get a drone class
Find a good hiding spot
Unleash the parrot and tag people as quick as possible by finding the enemy spawn

A lot easier than getting it through combat I got to 4 stars every time before I got it. Works really good if there are camping snipers you can repeatedly tag
