Piddlin' in the Porridge
Adventure Mode - Finished a game where one player drank the Sleg
A major component of the story mode in this game revolves around a mysterious liquid known as "Sleg". Major / long drawn out encounters often happen around vats of this liquid and the option to drink it to empower your character comes up with a "O" prompt. In order to get this trophy simply press the "O" prompt to drink the Sleg whenever you have the chance. You will need to do this on a separate playthrough then Above the Influence.
Above the Influence
Adventure Mode - Finished a game where neither player drank Sleg
A major component of the story mode in this game revolves around a mysterious liquid known as "Sleg". Major / long drawn out encounters often happen around vats of this liquid and the option to drink it to empower your character comes up with a "O" prompt. In order to get this trophy DO NOT ever press the "O" prompt to drink the Sleg. If you happen to do this by mistake you will recieve Piddlin' in the Porridge instead and need to do this on another playthrough.
Adventure Mode - Defeat all bosses as E'lara
I recommend that you take each playthrough as a separate character initially, so that you can focus on building up their skills and also to get this trophy and Situation as early as possible. See Hello Nurse, Exterminatrix, Catfight, Banished, Boots and a handbag and Femme fatal for individual strategies for each enemy.
Adventure Mode - Defeat all bosses as Caddoc
I recommend that you take each playthrough as a separate character initially, so that you can focus on building up their skills and also to get this trophy and Sandy V as early as possible. See The Dr. is in, Arachnaphobe, Basic instinct, Exorcist, Grounded and Manslaughter for individual strategies for each enemy.
Alternatively you can simply reload chapters 1-6, 2-6 etc and fight the boss with the opposite character to obtain these trophies. Just make sure to start the next chapter before quitting to ensure your progress is saved.
Adventure Mode - Collect all possible crystals throughout the game
This trophy refers to collecting all the crystals that are scattered throughout the game in sealed containers, it does not refer to pieces of crystal left by enemies. A list of locations for these crystals may be found below:
Equip a Rare, or better, quality weapon in both inventory slots
Similar to All That and a Bag of Chips except you will need to have an Epic weapon equipped in both of your 2 available weapon slots. In order to open up the 2nd weapons lot you will need to access at least 8 secret areas. There are 32 of these in the game and many of them lead to the collectables. A list of secret areas and puzzles can be found under the "Roadmap" section of the wiki.
All That and a Bag of Chips
Obtain an Epic quality weapon
Epic quality weapons are purple and found in mysterious containers you will access by finding hidden rooms or completing puzzles. You should get this trophy before the end of Chapter 1 but if you don't there are multiple opportunities to do so afterwards.
It's All a Top Priority
Adventure Mode - Use the Deathstone to communicate with every spirit in the game
There are 53 bodies scattered throughout the game to interact with. Obtaining this trophy requires you find and interact with them all. A list of these bodies is found below:
Don't Cry Little Dragon
Adventure Mode - Find all Dragon Tears in the game
There are 13 Dragon Tears scattered throughout the game to find, their locations may be found below:
Adventure Mode - Revive your fallen companion 20 times during the game
If you don't play the game on a hard level this can be a little difficult, if you play on a higher difficulty you should get this just by going through the story. If not load up chapter 6 and let your partner die a pile of times and continue to revive them.
Raise the Not Quite Dead
Adventure Mode - Cooperatively kill 50 levitating enemies
Caddoc's "Wind of Wrath" skill will levitate enemies into the air for a brief amount of time. Using the skill (R1 when equipped) and then allowing E'lara to finish off the levitating enemies will add to the total for this trophy. Kill 50 enemies mid-air to complete the requirements.
Adventure Mode - Cooperatively kill 50 frozen enemies
E'lara has a skill called "Arctic Arrow". In order to obtain this trophy simply use this skill to freeze enemies (R1 when equipped) and let Caddoc smash them into pieces. This works best with multiple weak enemies or spiders. Enemies with a shield will take more hits to freeze.
Upgrading this spell will give it an area of effect and allow for easier freezing of multiple enemies. Freeze and smash 50 for this trophy.
You Broke it, They Bought It
Shatter the shields of 50 enemies
E'lara has a battle magic named "Arcane Burst". This arrow strike when used (R1 when equipped) will often shatter enemy shields. It becomes more of a sure thing as you level the ability up and is extremely useful later on in the game. Simply use this ability anytime you see an enemy with a shield and you should get this trophy within your first E'lara playthrough.
Kill at least 3 enemies with one explosion
The easiest and more efficient place to obtain this trophy is on the crane in Chapter 2. You'll want to play as E'lara and when Caddoc begins to lower you down wait for the enemies to amass before shooting the explosive barrels, you should obtain this trophy if you get enough of them at a time. Alternatively if you do not prefer to do this on the elevator there are multiple spots in chapter 6 that offer opportunities to kill enemies en mass with explosive barrels and other points scattered throughout the game in general.
Is Something Burning?
Kill 20 enemies using explosive barrels
Simply kill 20 enemies by shooting or if you're suicidal meleeing an explosive barrel. You should get this without trying but if you come up short reload the elevator in chapter 2 or the end parts of chapter 6 to quickly knock enemies out with barrels.
Joined at the Hip
Adventure Mode - Perform a Spell Link with your companion 20 times during the game
The most difficult part of this trophy is finding out what "Spell Link" entails. All it means if that you have Battle Charged your partner while you yourself are already battle charged. Do this 20 times and the trophy will pop. Similarly if you battle charge your partner and then they return the favour you will also get this trophy. You can tell if you have successfully spell linked as the character will have a floating skull around them afterward which will attack enemies.
Pump YOU Up
Adventure Mode - Battle Charge your companion 50 times during the game
Battle Charge is an ability that can be activated by switching to a battle magic spell and holding down the cast button (R1). This will empower your ally and allow them to do greater amounts of damage for a short duration. Collecting Dragons Tears (see Don't cry little dragon) will allow you to increase the duration and effectiveness of Battle Charge. Simply activate your ally's charge 50 times to get this trophy.
Create your own Crucible level
You can do this anytime after you collect enough gold for the first unlock, which will be the first gold you pickup. Simply go to the crucible option on the menu and create a one room dungeon.
One Man Wolfpack
Unlock 1st piece of Crucible content
You unlock crucible content by collecting gold, you need 100,000 to collect all crucible content. The best way to make gold is to create a crucible level with 9 waves of 100 skeletons and give yourself as many negative effects as possible (No HUD, lower mana regen, etc). You can make ~10,000 per match which takes about an hour.
Alternatively many people swear by fighting waves of tribal soldiers and using explosive arrow to take them down. I also found fighting the 2 scythed powerful tribals that give 150gold each and taking them down by using ice arrow to be effective.
Unlock 50% of Crucible content
See "One Man Wolfpack"
Unlock all Crucible content
See "One Man Wolfpack"
LF1M Dungeon Crawl
Complete a 25 room map in Crucible
You need to complete a crucible level with 25 rooms for this trophy. I would recommend making the 25 room level yourself, you can fill it with skeletons and use the clearing as a method of making gold. You can also make a dungeon with the bare minimum of enemies per room and finish this quickly.
Late to the Party
Adventure Mode - Free all bound prisoners throughout the game
There are a total of 32 bound prisoners scattered through the game, a list of their locations may be found below:
Not on my Watch
Kill a fleeing Wargar in the town of Dyfed
After the first gate in Chapter 1.1 you'll fight 3 wargar in an alley, when you get to the end of this alley (just before prisoner 1) look straight ahead and you will see 2 wargar make a run for it. Shoot at least one of them to get this trophy.
Kill 20 Wargar before the crane platform gets to the bottom in the Dungeons of Dyfed
This occurs in Chapter 2.3 and I would recommend not worrying about the trophy until you come back to this area. You will need to be E'lara to complete the objective but playing online with someone using Caddoc and shooting with their crossbow as well can make it easier. Employ the barrels and line up your shots and its relatively easy to accomplish. I believe the crane takes 30 seconds to lower, so 1 enemy every 1.5 seconds is your goal here.
Escape the Collapsing Aqueduct without taking any damage
In act 4, Llyr, you will come across a section of the map where you go from a burning building to an aqueduct. As you begin to walk along the aquaduct you will be bombarded with burning ballista fire. Hold down "X" to run and escape the incoming fire and you will get this trophy.
Bull in a China Shop
Trick the Minotaur into destroying all the pillars in the Arches of Fire section in Llyr
The "Arches of Fire" section of Llyr is more helpfully known as Chapter 4.3. Also apparently pillars mean wooden beams and not large brick or concrete structures like are littering all the areas of the game. So when you start this chapter, and I would recommend doing this on playthrough one if possible so you don't kill the minotaur to soon, taunt the minotaur into running through all the wooden beams in the area where wargar are fighting it.
If you find it keeps dying before you can finish just load up multiplayer with an idle 2nd character on split screen.
Eye for an Eye
Kill an Eye of Annuvin before it can summon reinforcements on the Road to Kala Moor
Right after you get your first up close view of Kala Moor (the large castle like structure) you will see 3 walking enemies and 2 floating eyes. If you take out your bow and pick an eye off right away you will get this trophy. If you miss, restart the checkpoint.
Kill 15 enemies with the Forest flechette gun on the Road to Kala Moor
In chapter 5.1 there is a flechette gun located on a bridge, enemies will come from the other side. Kill 15 with the gun only to get this trophy.
I'll Huff and I'll Puff...
Trick a blind dragon into shooting down the weak tower in the depths of Kala Moor
At the beginning of chapter 6.4 you will see towers on a circular down grading path. Flying around are dragons, if you stand near enough the tower the dragon will take out the tower instead of you and this trophy will pop.
Amass 100,000 gold
The best way to make gold is to create a crucible level with 9 waves of 100 skeletons and give yourself as many negative effects as possible (No HUD, lower mana regen, etc). You can make ~10,000 per match which takes about an hour. You will also gain gold throughout the game, likely somewhere near 30,000 in the two required plays to get all the other trophies.
If you want a change of pace you can play online with someone else and use their characters and still retain the gold you collect. By far I found the crucible method the easiest yet one of the more boring.
As E'lara, defeat the Infected at the end of Chapter 1
As E'lara in any fight you generally want to use cover and your bow to take down the enemy. The fight against "The Infected" is a perfect example of this. I would recommend staying in the cover you originally end up in and picking off any enemies that hit ground level with your bow while also taking pot shots at "The Infected".
Using the "Arcane Burst" skill also inflicts large amounts of damage on any strong enemy are you progress through the game, use it here. When the enemy starts walking around the courtyard don't be afraid to use the "X" button to tumble out of the way of incoming attacks. Grab the nearest cover and let loose with another volley. Continue this strategy and "Battle Charge" Caddoc when he has melee range to end this battle quickly.
Once you defeat "The Infected" while in control of E'lara the trophy will pop.
The Dr. is In
As Caddoc, defeat the Infected at the end of Chapter 1
Most battles as Caddoc employ a chase and bash strategy. Use your crossbow to take out the enemies lining the walls and when the Infected jumps down simply run up and melee it when you have the chance. Use your shield to avoid blows and the "X" button to tumble out of the way if need be. In dire circumstances hide and let E'lara pound for a bit. Battle charging her can make this quite a bit easier.
As E'lara, squash the spider god while holding Caddocís hand in Chapter 2
This battle begins with you needing to run, hold "X" to run and take off towards the original left of the screen. Rocks will tumble down allowing you access to more tunnel. Enemies will run towards you at this point, ignore them as best you can and continue towards a 2nd rock wall. When this wall comes down you will see 2 ballistas. Jump on one and aim for the spider.
Eventually you will see a pillar above the spider that peaks your attention, at this point focus fire on the pillar instead and eventually it will come down and end the fight. Once you finish the fight the trophy will pop as you switch to chapter 3.
As Caddoc, conquer your fear as well as the spider god in Chapter 2
Identical to the writeup for the E'lara side of this trophy. Run, wait, run, wait, run shoot, kill, trophy.
Kill the assassin at the docks in Chapter 3 as E'lara
The key to this fight is to take out the Assassin's staves whenever she distributes them around the arena quickly or else they will inflict heavy damage. I recommend tubling and running while shooting with your bow until they are disposed of. After this keep moving but use the auto-aim to inflict pain on the Assassin while you do so.
Continue this strategy and "Battle Charge" Caddoc when you get the opportunity and you will end this fight with relative ease. The trophy will pop between chapters.
Kill the assassin at the docks in Chapter 3 as Caddoc
Battle charge E'lara at the beginning of this battle and hopefully she will Spell Link by Battle Charging you back, if not simply employ an evade and strike strategy. Make sure to take out the staves when the Assassin plants them in the ground as quickly as possible and use your Crossbow when she is a good distance away.
As E'lara, send the demon in the library back to hell at the end of Chapter 4
There are two important things to note when taking on the Library Demon at the end of Chapter 4:
1. Make sure you have an upgraded Arcane Burst before coming into this battle, it inflicts massive damage on the demon when it's shields are down.
2. Whenever the demon goes into a red haze with bodies floating around it you must SHOOT THE BODIES FIRST to remove the barrier. If you are using auto-aim it will aim for the demon, ignore this and shoot the bodies.
If you have the above 2 points down this battle is relatively easy. Take down the demon's shield and then pound it with normal arrows or Arcane Burst. Caddoc in "Battle Charge" will also help when the shields are down. The trophy will pop between Chapters.
As Caddoc, send the demon in the library back to hell at the end of Chapter 4
Nothing special about this fight, melee away and throw your shield up whenever the Demon braces for an attack. Make sure to destroy the floating bodies whenever the Demon puts up his red shield aura. Battle charging E'lara when the shield is down can make this much quicker.
Boots and a Handbag
As E'lara, kill the Blind Dragon at the conclusion of Chapter 5
This battle is similar to the Spider Battle at the end of Chapter 2. Begin by going down the stairs in front of you and taking cover from the Dragon's Fire. Take up shot at one of the ballistas on either the right of left and shoot the dragon. Have Caddoc run around Battle Charged and destroy all the skeletons as they will become a pain later on in the fight. Once you take a shot you probably want to escape to cover until the dragon unloads and then head back to the ballista.
Continue this until the dragon rises into the air and then finish him off with a last shot from the ballista. The trophy pops between chapters.
As Caddoc, Put down the Blind Dragon at the conclusion of Chapter 5
See Boots and a Handbag for the description of this fight, nothing changes between characters in terms of strategy.
Defeat Annuvin as E'lara
Defeating Annuvin as E'lara really requires little thought. You need to shoot the demon in the chest and lower it's health to a static point before it begins using the pillars around it for regeneration. Once it does this you need to fire on the skeletons and give Caddoc room to knock the pillars over one at a time. After each pillar falls you can lower Annuvin's health by another quarter until finally the last pillar and the final boss of the game will fall.
In terms of strategy, keep the skeletons off Caddoc and stay back unless you need to advance for health or magic vials. When Annuvin separates his hands, duck in cover to avoid the blast that is coming. In general Caddoc will take his sweet time but when you see him on a pillar go all out to keep him there unhindered. As normal "Battle Charging" your ally is a worth goal in this scenario.
After you kill Annuvin the trophy will pop.
Defeat Annuvin as Caddoc
Since the AI is a little stupid most of the time this battle seems to be more difficult as Caddoc then E'lara. You need to shoot Annuvin in the chest until he relies on his pedestals for power. When you see him connected to one of these pillars with a white light, run to that pillar and hit "O" to initiate a button mash of "X" to knock the pillar over. Continue this until all the pillars are gone and then burn Annuvin down with the crossbow to finish this fight.
