Trophy Guide By:

Piggie_Pie

First of all i would like to thank Sieghardt, Logos, and Ar Tonelico for all of the help on this guide... They have provided a lot of great information that made this trophy guide possible… I would also like to thank skidmargn for buying the game for me... THANKS GUYS!!!

Hyperdimension Neptunia is a Japanese Role Playing Game by NIS America inc. (creators of other fun loving JRPGs such as Atelier Rorona, Cross Edge, Disgaea, and Trinity Univers to name a few)

Mythology:
Long ago, the world was united as one.
Then, four goddesses were bord and a war began over who could best rule the world.
Eventually, under these goddesses, the world split into four different lands, each worshipping one of the goddesses...

Story:
Four goddesses preside over a parallel world called Gamindustri. Aside from the warring goddesses of Celestia, the human world below brims with monsters released by the evil powers of Arfoire. One girl, Neptune, falls to the human world during a scuffle between the goddesses. Once there, Neptune hears a cry from the tome Histoire, who has been sealed and kept away from the goddesses by Arfoire.

(Mythology and Story taken from the game booklet)

[top]Tips and Strategies

1) First tip is... Go to the PSN store and download all of the free DLC... there are some free dungeons and other goodies to grab... there are also some non-free ones... some that allow you to play as Nisa and Gust (extra characters that you meet in the game)... But for sure grab all of the free stuff as they update it with more all the time.

2) When you get to a dungeon for the first time be sure to grab the hidden treasure within that dungeon... Use IF's dungeon skill called "search" using the button... I always grabbed the treasure before i completed any dungeon to be sure i didn't leave anything behind.

3) If you are trying to play through as fast and as easy as possible then go ahead and put the difficulty on EASY as there are NO trophies for difficulty level... Set it to whatever difficulty you like and enjoy! (your secret is safe with me).

4) When you see a purple pulsating spot on the floor use Compa's in-dungeon skill (monster call) to summon a Clione to fight... There are 7 different Cliones that all look the same but are of different level and strength. These little creatures are not as easy as they look so be sure you are ready for a good fight if the dungeon level is close to your actual level... The reason for this tip is that you will need to find ALL 7 of these and defeat them for 100% beastiary.

[top]Roadmap

The first part of Hyperdimension Neptunia is very rewarding... for about the first 2 to 3 hours you will hear the "DING!" of trophies popping left and right... Neptune: Engage! is the first trophy you will get as you finish configuring the settings and start your game...

After a few events/skits you will be taken to the tutorial dungeon where you meet IF (one of your team members)... here you will be able to get the trophies Blind Ambush, Nep-Nep Rocket, Monster Huntress, and Chest Stalker... Then after the tutorial dungeon has been cleared you will get The 8-Bit Experience trophy... now your journey has begun!

The Quest Is Under Way,Virtually Fighting, Item Making, Cracking the Wallet, Actively Literate, Trendy, Overclocked, Teamwork, and Console Battle are all trophies that you can get during or right after your first dungeon or two.

After this you will have a good enough familiarization of the game... Now its time to work on getting the Key Fragments (Lastation Key, Lowee Key, and Leanbox three-six-key) as well as do some dungeon diving to grind and work on knocking out some "S" ranks on some of the side quests... On your way to getting the Key Fragments you will pick up a few story related trophies as well as have the opportunity to knock out a few other random trophies (See Guide).

[top]Trophies

[top]
The Master System
You've been diagnosed with Neptunia.

Self explanatory… obtain all other trophies and this platinum trophy will be yours… ENJOY!

[top]
Neptune: Engage!
Started your journey in Gamindustri.

After you start your first new game you will be taken to the set up menu... after you configure how you want everything to be set up your game will start and this trophy will pop up... Enjoy your first trophy of the game...

[top]
Virtually Fighting
Created an original Combo.

For this trophy all you need to do is reassign the buttons for the combos with the skills that you have to choose from... I reassigned and renamed my combo and this trophy popped for me.

[top]
Item Making
You used your synthesized item during battle.

There isn't really "item synthesis" in this game...

The way you get this trophy is by using an item skill in battle... this being the only way to heal you will be able to get this early on.
Invest your skill points into any item skill that you have (I used Neptune's "Nep bull" and filled it up as high as i could)... you can stream-line this by going to a dungeon with all of your characters set up with Item Skills and just hit the in battle to skip fighting... get hit a bunch and eventually you will use an Item Skill and this trophy will pop...

Taking damage is inevitable so eventually you will get this trophy without having to exploit it and you WILL get this early on.

[top]
Cracking the Wallet
Purchased something at the Shop.

As soon as you finish the tutorial mission at the beginning of the game you will be taken to what I call a world map… you will be given a few options for actions you can take here… at this point choose the shopping cart at the top of the list and simply buy ANYTHING from the shop… DING! This trophy is yours…

[top]
Actively Literate
Used Explore to advance the story.

Story related... you cannot progress the story without doing this.
Simply select "Explore" while on the world map and select an event that will progress the story... you won't know what event actually progresses the story until it actually happens but this trophy will pop within your first few min of the game after the tutorial mission.

[top]
Medieval Fantasy
Arrived at Leanbox.

You will be able to travel to the other 3 land masses (4 land masses total)... when you select the land mass you can choose "wait for land mass to approach" and after you select it you will return to the world map and be able to select the land mass as a dungeon... the dungeon is the path to the next land mass that you have selected

Select "Leanbox" and travel to there... this trophy will pop right after you first arrive.

[top]
Steam Punk

See "Medieval Fantasy"

Select "Lastation" and travel to there... this trophy will pop right after you first arrive.

the first set of accessories that come up in the store are the bows and they cost 5000 credits... save up for a few dungeons and buy one for this trophy to pop up.

[top]
Overclocked
Changed your processor unit.

You will find processor units in the store and throughout dungeons... for Neptune, this is like an accessory... as soon as you have any new processor units just switch it out with an previous one and this trophy will pop.

[top]
Teamwork
Changed your formation.

For this all you need to do is hit the , scroll down to the "formation" tab and hit to select it... Highlight a character and hit again to select that character then scroll over to the character that you want to swap with and hit the button once more... You have just changed your formation and the trophy should pop right after (you may need to exit the menu for the trophy to pop)

[top]
Console Battle
Fought in battle as a CPU.

simple trophy... First make a combo and use your transformation at the end of the combo (mine was where circle was my catalyst for transforming... after the combo is done there will be a prompt with an to verify if you want to transform)...
After you transform all you need to do is fight as your transformed self and this trophy will be yours...

[top]
Modest-Breasted Heroine
Nisa joined the party.

Nisa is a character that you run into a few times... She looks like a mix between a Prinny and Etna (NISA characters)
This will also unlock the "Share Bar" in the menu for you to view how popular you are in that particular land mass.

Same as "Nep-Nep Rocket" and "Monster Huntress" only this time select IF as your roaming party member in a dungeon and hit the button... at this point you will see a yellow stream drawn between you and a hidden treasure chest... Follow the direction of the stream by hitting the throughout the dungeon until you find the end of the stream... once you are close enough hit the button and the hidden treasure chest will show up... Open the treasure chest for your trophy

Congratulations! You have now completed the game... now go finish the side quests, lol...

[top]
Multi-Platform
Been everywhere in Gamindustri.

Work on this while going for the "Histoire Enthusiast" and "Speedy Hunter" trophies...
This trophy requires you to explore every dungeon on every land mass (Lowee, Planeptune, Leanbox, and Lastation)

[top]
Eternal Combo Champion
Reached 100 HIT with your original Combo.

This is a tough one to get...

I was able to obtain this with a single character in a boss fight (Not sure what boss i got this on)... The boss will de-buff you with "Low Tension" granting you weaker hits against the boss but also spending half AP cost to do those hits... the guard break gauge will still drop just as fast so you will be able to put the boss in guard break twice also filling up your AP a little each time you do so... keep linking your combos and eventually you will get 100+ hits (see Chain Combo trophy).

[top]
Nurse
Helped a wounded ally during battle 20 times.

To get the Nurse trophy, you have to revive a fallen party member 20 times in combat. The descriptor of the trophy is a bit vague, since helping them implies that full-party heals should work, but what you really need are revives. Both Compa and IF get the Revive abilities, and [pending confirmation in-game] any combination of the two reviving others should count toward the total.

The easy way to get this is to turn off all party healing skills with Compa and all individual healing skills for both IF and Compa, so that only Neptune can heal herself. That way, when grinding dungeons and either Compa or IF fall in battle, the other can revive them.

(Thank you to Logos and Sieghardt for clearing this up for me)

[top]
Switch
Switched with back-row members in battle 50 times.

This is easier than it sounds and you can get it in about 10 min of gameplay...
This is how i got it...
First go to your menu and make Neptune sit in the back row of IF in your formation...
Second create a combo with two of your characters that are easy to remember and easy to initiate during battle with the last button of the combo as a "switch" action... Mine was Neptune (then prompts you to switch with ) then IF (then prompts you to switch with )... repeat this over and over until you run out of AP... With your third party member (Compa) just hit the to block...
Do this on a low level so that none of your characters take that much damage (I did this at level 30 on a road to another land mass).
You will need to do about 4 or 5 battles to get the full 50 so it might be good to summon the monsters with Compa's dungeon skill to try and get this all in one shot...

[top]
Green Heart
CPU Green Heart joins the party.

To recruit CPU Green Heart you will need to raise the share bar by completing dungeons on Leanbox... after about 30% you will be able to challenge her solo and she will join your party... keep raising the share bar for some other unique events to show up in Leanbox (required for "Histoire Enthusiast and The Real Afoire Stands Up")

[top]
Black Heart
CPU Black Heart joins the party.

To recruit CPU Black Hear you will need to raise the share bar by completing dungeons on Planeptune... after about 30% you will be able to challenge her solo and she will join your party... keep raising the share bar for some other unique events to show up in Planeptune (required for "Histoire Enthusiast and The Real Afoire Stands Up")

[top]
White Heart
CPU White Heart joins the party.

To recruit CPU White Heart you will need to raise the share bar by completing dungeons on Lowee... after about 30% you will be able to challenge her solo and she will join your party... keep raising the share bar for some other unique events to show up in Lowee (required for "Histoire Enthusiast and The Real Afoire Stands Up")

[top]
The Real Arfoire Stands Up
Defeated Arfoire with the power of all CPUs combined.

To obtain this trophy you will need to Recruit all CPU's and then revisit the final battle event... This should be the second time that you fight Arfoire but you will have the power of other three CPUs.

To get these CPUs see Green Heart, Black Heart, and White Heart trophies.

CPU Black Heart - recruited in Lastation
CPU White Heart - recruited in Lowee
CPU Green Heart - recruited in Leanbox

[top]
Speedy Hunter
Obtained S rank in all Time Challenges.

View every event to be sure you unlock all of the quest dungeons... as you progress through the story more quest dungeons will become available...
Time is of the essence in all of the side quests so rush through and try to complete the objective as soon as possible...

This is a game long achievement due some quests not unlocking until around endgame.

[top]
Histoire Enthusiast
Obtained all content.

Complete 100% Bestiary
Complete 100% Events
Complete 100% Dungeons

Your progress is recorded in the menu (see monster list and event list in the road map)

To get 100% Bestiary you will need to fight Arfoire before recruiting all of the CPU's (this means you can still recruit two of the three and then after you beat Arfoire you can recruit the last CPU that you need and fight the real Arfoire for "The Real Arfoire Stands Up" trophy).

Also be aware that if you miss an enemy from a story related dungeon you may need to do a NG+ to go back through and find that enemy again...
