Trophy Guide By:

Ace-murderer234

Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 is a 2011 role-playing video game developed by Compile Heart and Idea Factory, with assistance from Nippon Ichi Software, Gust Corporation, 5pb., and the recently founded company Comcept. This game is the sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia, announced on April 12, 2011, for the PlayStation 3. Dropping the old battle system for a new fresh system with more free movement and a much easier to understand combo system in my opinion to make the experience more real time without really throwing away the charm from the first game. Then this time around we have a new cast of characters the CPU Candidates which are little sisters of the main CPUs. Their job is to save their older sisters from the CFW's and save gamindustri from the evil Arforie.

Nepgear

In contrast to Neptune's hyper active and energetic behavior, Nepgear is a very shy girl who will over-apologize for even the tiniest of things. She's somewhat timid when it comes to things and people but friendly otherwise.

Uni

Uni is Noire's younger sister. Uni seems to be friendlier than Noire is, and befriends Nepgear quickly in the game until learning of her relation to Neptune. However, she is still very much a tsundere.

Ram

Ram is one of Blanc's twins (White Heart). Her name is derived from RAM (Random Access Memory). The more talkative one of the pair.

Rom

Rom is one of Blanc's twins (White Heart). Her name is derived from ROM (Read Only Memory). She tends to be more quiet than Ram, and is often heavily influenced by her.

[top]Tips and Strategies

1. DLC

Get all free dlc. You will start off with 4 Million bucks! Get free items and events. Special Combos for later. As well as grinding maps for power leveling to Level 99. I would suggest you buy the armor and weapons for every character if you have the money but be warned all weapon and armor dlc are game-breaking meaning they are extremely overpowered causing you to instant kill everything and endgame bosses never touch you plus grind less for quicker platinum at the cost of making it a little boring and much more like a chore. It comes down to what you want really.

2. Save!

If you chose to not buy the weapon and armor dlc be prepared at all times. Even though the plat is easy I would like to point out that some of the bosses are extremely difficult if you don't know what to do. Unlike the first game you WILL lose all your data if you did not save at some point there are no retries in battle anymore either and without a difficulty setting you may wanna grind a little if your stuck.

3. Item Synthesis

Do yourself a favor and make the following items: Forbidden Twig for enemy respawns aka make quest grinding quicker items, Hp restore items such as 1000+ and 2000+ healing they help a lot better then healing spells. Cause healing skills waste a lot of AP and SP for only 30% healing all the time. Its much better to heal a group using a +75% heal group item or something it wastes one character's turn rather then everyone trying to heal when they should be attacking. Then lastly Eject buttons so you don't have to waste your time walking all the way back through a dungeon.

4. Battle Formation

Position in this game is important it will decide if one target gets hit or everyone does. Be sure to spread out your characters but not too far apart because if anyone dies it would be really difficult to revive them. As for bosses, I figure the box in tactic works for most cases, get one character to charge the boss character. One stays back to heal the guy taking all the hits while the other two flanks from both sides. When the boss gets really close to the charger. Move either of the flankers behind him and replace the side with the charger person. Now move up the healing person in front of the boss. Hope that's easy to understand. If done correctly the boss will no longer move and will only attack one character at a time unless its got a insane AoE skill. Reviving and healing are kinda tricky. What you wanna do is take baby-steps to your died companion, revive/heal, and run back.

5. Shares and Lily Ranks

Doing all the sidequest is actually bad in this game. Its cause Shares affect your endings as well as how strong your CPU's are. Always check the client and the shares loss every time you do a quest. Redoing quest can fix your shares and coliseum battles affect your shares as well. On the topic of Lily Ranks before you go to new game+ DON'T start over till you have at least watched everyone's Chirper events. Lily Ranks carryover so take advantage of that or else in the end you will be forced to grind lily ranks by battling and they are much slower then the Chirper events.

[top]Roadmap

Step 1: Complete Game and Watch Conquest Ending.

In this playthrough you will be playing through the whole game to unlock the conquest ending. You really need to finish this first as it will be the hardest ending to get and has the most requirements. Refer to The Blood of Many... to see how to get the conquest ending. You should also focus on Lily Ranks in this playthrough and level everyone up to max level "Pink face with the hearts" if possible. After watching the Conquest Ending you will be asked to start over in new game plus select "Yes" and save overwrite. On to round two!

Step 2: Finish the game again in NG+ and get Normal Ending.

This will be your speed run playthrough. Complete the game normally but try not to do quests and miss around with your shares. Do not go for the True Ending yet! You will be locked out of the other endings, if you do you'll be forced to start a new game. After you finish up a little of chapter six you will get a new event at the Gamindustri Graveyard. Save before the final boss battle, you should make two saves in case you might mess up.Beat the final boss and get the normal ending and human ending. Once finished DO NOT OVERWRITE and return to game. At this time use a eject button and focus on getting the Planeptune ending after your done meeting the requirements return to the graveyard and unlock the trophy for the Planeptune Ending by beating the boss again don't overwrite. Repeat for lastation,Leanbox, and Lowee endings.

Step 3: Finish the True Ending.

Before you go fight Arforie again for the last time you will have to carefully maintain your shares and complete the requirements for the true ending refer to Happily Ever After for more details. Once finished, you will be locked in chapter 7 and after a couple more boss fights you will get a new event at the new gamindustri graveyard. Take this time to save because you won't be able to if you enter that event. Now you will take on the true Arforie, defeat her and finish the true ending. Don't overwrite.

Step 4: Clean Up

By now you shouldn't have much left. New Chirper events are active only in the true ending route so you can check those out if you still need to boost Lily Ranks. Now that you've done all the endings feel free to do whatever quest you wish. "Not that you need to but I'm just throwing it out there ". Collect any trophies you may have missed.

Toggle Spoiler

[top]
CFW Brave, Humbled
Defeated CFW Brave.

Story related and cannot be missed.

I suggest making a lot Healing pods and SP chargers 2 for this battle. Once in the fight split all your characters so Brave only hits one of you. Cast Defensive Cheer if you want, Brave deals really heavy damage so do your best to keep everyone alive. Alternate each character will the healing and attacking roles. This fight should be easier because you have more party members this time.

Toggle Spoiler

[top]
CFW Trick, Tricked
Defeated CFW Trick

Story related and cannot be missed.

Get healing pods for this battle. Refer to my tips section of this guide on battle formation and begin surrounding him. Heal when needed and destroy him from all sides. If you need to revive I suggest doing so and running back to the side you were staying.

[top]
CFW Magic, Poofed
Defeated CFW Magic.

Same thing for this fight. Have a lot of healing items on hand. Split up and defeat her from afar. She deals some crazy damage but you can win this time because you can actually land your attacks on her.

Toggle Spoiler

[top]

Regained Planeptune after its capture.

at the end of chapter 5. Once the battle the is over you'll see CFW die. At that point both trophies will unlock.

[top]

[top]
The CPU's Curse
Obtained the cursed sword of legend.

Missable Trophy.

You get this in the LAN Castle Secret Hall. The event will only show up if your on the Conquest ending route. Refer to The Blood Of Many... for more details on how to get the Conquest Ending.

[top]
IF's Rehab Clinic
Performed battle for the first time in years.

Easy Trophy. You get this after you finish your very first battle. Preemptive Strike with the . For general battle tips you want to guard break the enemy with . Then follow up with for power hits for massive damage. Rush is and is best used for combo count and SP grinding.

[top]
Evil Nemesis
Fought 100 battles.

See Battle Master

[top]
Battle Master
Fought 500 battles.

Continue battling regularly through your 2 playthroughs. Your battles carryover and I promise by the time you reach level 99 you'll well have reached over 500 battles. Be sure to enter battle and not instantly kill your enemies with the preemptive strike. These will not count. If you want you can go to the very first dungeon Virtua Forest to grind easy wins but I wouldn't recommend it.

[top]
Combo Champion
Achieved an 80-hit original combo.

You can get this easily by spamming specials on bosses in the Coliseum. Vert, Netgear,Nisa, and Gust are some of the better characters to get this. Equip your characters with weak weapons and set your rush commands to the highest hit count possible. Stock up on SP charger 2's and continue to buff your party till the you get enough SP to unleash all your ultimate skills. Check everyone's turns on the top right hand corner to see when your party can do their skills. I actually got my trophy by using Lindworm Combo-Volkslied+DarkXblade+Mirage Dance against multiple strong enemies you can use that if everything else fails.

[top]
Take Off, Every CPU!
Dealt over 100,000 damage.

Use Neptune and have Nepgear as support use their combo skill, with Nepgear as support the damage limit is broken so you'll rip massive damage. Follow up with IF and Compa's combination skill if you didn't get it with Neptune. At level 99 all combo skills should do well over 100,000.

[top]
Freshly Grinded Girls
Everyone reached level 99.

Power leveling is best done on the free dlc maps you get in the PSN store. I suggest starting on Power level Island with characters at least level 50. Then move on to Panan Jungle with characters at level 60. Then finally go to Way of the Samurai with characters at level 75. The grind was roughly 5 hours long from level 60 so its not that bad. Remember to put all EXP+ support characters in the back row in battle for less of a grind. Level 99 requires 31,732,731 exp.

[top]
Normal Ending
Saw the normal ending.

Missable Trophy.

To earn the normal ending, you cannot meet the requirements for the True Ending and Conquest Ending. You get this after finishing Chapter 6 in the cutscene just before the ending credits. You can skip using , your trophy will pop regardless if you watch it or not.

[top]
Human Ending
Saw the human ending.

Missable Trophy.

To get this ending you need to beat the game with Compa, IF, Nisa, Gust and 5pb at Lily Rank 5 and don't meet the requirements for the True Ending,Conquest Ending, or the City Endings. You obtain the trophy after the ending credits in the secret cut scene, feel free to skip with .

[top]
Planeptune Forever
Saw the Planeptune ending.

Missable Trophy.

To get this ending you need to have Planeptune's Capital shares at 70%+ and Neptune has to be at Lily Rank 5. Don't meet the requirements for the True Ending,Conquest Ending, or the City Endings. You obtain the trophy after the ending credits in the secret cut scene, feel free to skip with .

[top]
Leanbox Lover
Saw the Leanbox ending.

Missable Trophy.

To get this ending you need to have Leanbox's Capital shares at 70%+ and Vert has to be at Lily Rank 5. Don't meet the requirements for the True Ending,Conquest Ending, or the City Endings. You obtain the trophy after the ending credits in the secret cut scene, feel free to skip with .

[top]
Lastation Training
Saw the Lastation ending.

Missable Trophy.

To get this ending you need to have Lastation's Capital shares at 70%+ and Uni and Noire has to be at Lily Rank 5. Don't meet the requirements for the True Ending,Conquest Ending, or the City Endings. You obtain the trophy after the ending credits in the secret cut scene, feel free to skip with .

[top]
Lowee's Readership
Saw the Lowee ending.

Missable Trophy.

To get this ending you need to have Lowee Capital shares at 70%+ and Blanc,Rom,and Ram has to be at Lily Rank 5. Don't meet the requirements for the True Ending,Conquest Ending, or the City Endings. You obtain the trophy after the ending credits in the secret cut scene, feel free to skip with .

[top]
Delphinus Wrecked
Defeated the secret boss, Delphinus.

This will likely be your last trophy so thankfully its really easy. At level 99 this boss is a piece of cake. Start off with Neptune with Nepgear as support just for the damage limit break. Compa and IF is paired up. Blanc and Rom is paired up. Then finally Uni and Noire are paired up. Using SP Chargers 2 you'll get everyone's SP to 150 and perform Combo Skills with everyone. Delphinus will go down faster then you can say platinum trophy. You can always fairly fight Delphinus with usual the surrounding tactic but I highly recommend you do what I did. This can only be done in New Game+ after unlocking the Gamindustri Graveyard.
