[top]Tips & Strategies

  • inFAMOUS data import - You can earn bonuses at the start of the game based on progress you made in the first game, and you can activate them by choosing one of the "Continue your inFAMOUS story" options when beginning a new game.
    * Please note - You must still have the inFAMOUS Game Data on your hard drive, or you will not get the option to import.
  • Never shy away from a fight - There's no real penalty for dying in this game, and all of your XP and stats are preserved even if you are killed.
  • Don't worry about collecting Blast Shards and Dead Drops until you have finished story mode unless you find yourself desperate for XP or energy cells.
  • Defeat any enemies you come across, even if it means taking a few extra minutes to get to your destination. You WILL need the XP later on in the game for Powers and grinding the XP in this game SUCKS!
  • Upon completing the game for the second time the game will actually reward you with 15000 XPs AND give you full access to ALL powers regardless of Karmic State.

How to Plat inFamous 2 in 1 Playthrough

While playing through the game and coming to the end I realized that this game can be done in one playthrough if done correctly. Here is the walkthrough for obtaining plat in 1 playthrough.

DO NOT COMPLETE ANY OF THE "GOOD" OR "BAD" SIDE MISSIONS (NAMELY THE ONES NEEDED FOR THE "FROZEN ASSET" AND "THE CLEANER" TROPHIES) ON THE SECOND ISLAND UNTIL I PROMPT YOU TO. DO NOT LOSE YOUR FULL HERO KARMA UNTIL I PROMPT YOU TO SWITCH SIDES AND GO FOR BAD KARMA.

If you save the game and go into the save option again and hover over your prior save you will see what mission you are on (If you save and it says 13. Torn, then you are on mission 13, only if you activated the mission, or you are before starting that mission. This is vital for knowing when to save the game).

You MUST go for good karma to make this possible. You MUST take advantage of the lack of an autosave and abuse the save system into your favor.

- Start the game on HARD with intentions on going for full Hero karma (good). What you want to do is play the game normally until mission 13, "Torn". BEFORE STARTING MISSION 13 SAVE TWO TIMES.

- Start up mission 13 "Torn" and complete the BOOM! mission by siding with the evil side (Nix). Once you complete the mission and receive the trophy DO NOT SAVE, instead load up to before mission 13 started. Once you have loaded the game you will want to complete the Leading the Charge mission by siding with Kuo this time. Complete the mission and receive the trophy. DO THE EVIL MISSIONS FIRST SO YOU CAN JUST CONTINUE PLAYING ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE GOOD MISSION SO YOU KEEP GOING TOWARDS GOOD KARMA.

- Keep playing as normal until you get to the "Transferring Power" mission. Do the same here again and SAVE TWO TIMES. Start up the Transferring Power mission and when prompted side with Nix and complete the "Fooling the Rebels" mission and receive the trophy. AGAIN DO NOT SAVE. Load up to before the mission and complete Kuo's side "Hearts and Minds Campaign" and receive the trophy. DO THE EVIL MISSIONS FIRST SO YOU CAN JUST CONTINUE PLAYING ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE GOOD MISSION SO YOU KEEP GOING TOWARDS GOOD KARMA.

- Keep playing through as normal as if you were heading towards good karma until you reach the "Storm the Fort" mission. Before reaching this mission SAVE TWO TIMES. Play through the mission and at the end when prompted side with Nix and receive the trophy shortly after. AGAIN DO NOT SAVE/ Load up to before the mission and play it again only this time at the end side with Kuo and receive the opposite karma trophy. DO THE EVIL CHOICE FIRST SO YOU CAN JUST CONTINUE PLAYING ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE GOOD MISSION SO YOU KEEP GOING TOWARDS GOOD KARMA.

- Continue playing the game as normal (you should have each sides story trophies by now as well as be full hero karma or close to it. Play until you reach the "Railyard Intel" mission. Once you reach this mission do not start it yet, instead SAVE TWO TIMES. First complete the "Nix's New Family" mission by siding with Nix. Complete the mission and get the trophy and then DO NOT SAVE. Load up to before the "Railyard Intel" mission and this time choose Kuo's side and complete the "Exposing Bertrand" mission. Receive the trophy and continue on. DO THE EVIL MISSION FIRST SO YOU CAN JUST CONTINUE PLAYING ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE GOOD MISSION SO YOU KEEP GOING TOWARDS GOOD KARMA.

- Continue playing and completing all the side missions EXCEPT THE ONES MENTIONED BEFORE. until you get to the mission "The Final Piece". BEFORE STARTING THAT MISSION UP SAVE TWICE. Head back to Flood Town and complete the three evil side missions needed to receive the The Cleaner trophy. DO NOT SAVE, INSTEAD LOAD UP TO BEFORE YOU STARTED ANY OF THESE THREE MISSIONS SO THE GOOD ONES WILL NO LONGER BE LOCKED OUT. Complete the four "good" missions needed for the Frozen Asset trophy.

- You should only need the Full Evil Karma trophy, the two endings, beating the game on hard, the powers and possibly kill 100 civilians. You should have all the story related trophies except the endings. Keep playing the game cleaning up any blast shards, dead drops, UGCs, or any of the other trophies you may need EXCEPT THOSE FEW BEFORE trying for an ending.

- ONCE AND ONLY ONCE you have received the With Great Power Comes Greater Power trophy Complete the "Final Piece" mission and then save 4 times (the game autosaves after the final boss but only over the most recently used saved data).

- Once you have the good ending load up the prior save from before he final decision. You will need to swap your karma AT LEAST to thug. Once you are at least Thug, complete the game using the Evil Ending by siding with Kuo and receive the trophy after the credits. Once you complete the mission you will be set into "Mission 40. Aftermath".

- Now for the final step, keep destroying shit left and right until you have reached FULL Negative Karma. One you have done that you should have plat.

The reason I say to stick with good the whole playthrough is because when you are trying to swap karmas, if you already control both islands there will be barely any enemies and the good side actions become scarce so it is much easier to turn sides and head to bad karma then it is to be bad and try to raise your karma to good.

Evil Playthrough Glitch for Infinite XP
This will help out those who haven't started their evil playthrough yet.

For this glitch to work you must be on your evil playthrough, well it doesn't really matter but it will make you evil so I recommend doing it on your evil run.

I noticed this today while playing, sadly I had already grinded for the powers trophy on my good run so this glitch does me no good but maybe it will help others.

What to do:

While playing the game you have to have LaRoche's men available to you.

Basically what you want to do is simply start a mission with LaRoche's army helping you and basically ignore the enemies and attack LaRoches men.

The best place to do this is the Storming the Fort mission. Take out the few guys inside the doorway and take out the guy on the turret. You will then be told to go in and clear the place out...Instead simply stay outside and shoot one of LaRoche's men until they fly onto the ground. From there target them and don't let up...keep smaching the button to keep shooting at them. Depending on the size of your energy meter you should be able to rack up quite a few hits on him. The enemy will NEVER die BUT you still keep getting the "Bystander" stunt over and over again.

I did this for just a short while and when i completed the mission I had 4475 bystander stunts. This was enough to take me from midway Outlaw rank to almost fully InFamous rank and it didn't even take that long. This is by far the best grinding method I have EVER seen. It's too bad it does me no good but like I said, hopefully it will help someone else.

I know this will work during any mission with LaRoche's men however the Storm the Fort mission is easiest to do it because if you take out them first few enemies you won't have to worry about any enemies shooting at you while you devastate one of LaRoche's men....if you can manage to get two people knocked down together you can easily get twice the points I did.

Here is a video showing you how and where to accomplish this glitch, thanks to PowerPyx:

[top]Roadmap

Complete the game on Hard difficulty:
  • Start a new game but make sure to switch to hard difficulty before taking your first look around when the game tries to teach you how.
  • Select your preference in Karma as soon as you begin the game so you can work towards all the powers and maxing the karma out. Collect as many blast shards as you can but don't stress going out of your way to collect them unless you have a need to extend your energy meter. Also collect any Dead Drops you come across but like the blast shards don't go out of your way unless you need the experience.
  • Do as many side missions as you please while playing through but DO NOT PLAY THEM ALL!
  • Buy as many upgrades as you can as soon as you make them available to you to help you get through the game.
  • Complete as many side actions as you can while playing to go for the Hero to the People trophy.

Mission 40: "Aftermath" - Complete any missing trophies you may need (except for story based trophies based on the other Karma):
  • Collect any Dead Drops and Blast Shards you may have left to collect using the Blast Shard Sense Upgrade and Dead Drops map.
  • Run around New Marais in the areas that you have not yet taken control of to find and defeat enemies to gain experience. If you have already taken over every area look for stuff to destroy for the "Big Destruction" stunt but be careful not to lose too much karma, you can also find a few straggling enemies in the Gas Works and Flood Town areas as well as a very limited amount of karma side actions left.
  • Once you have enough, or close to enough XP for the With Great Power Comes Greater Power trophy start completing the side missions (So you have an idea of how much XP you get per side mission depends on the side mission but you should earn at least around 200 XP per mission on average).

Complete the game on easy difficulty selecting the opposite karma
  • Press start from Mission 40: "Aftermath" and select "Saved Data" and choose "New Game" to start a new game.
  • Complete the game using the opposite karma and receiving the opposite karma side missions trophy and story trophies.

This should be everything you need to complete for the Platinum.

Pain Builds Character
Finish the game on hard difficulty.

For this trophy you must play and beat the entire game on hard difficulty without switching the difficulty down at all.

Tips for completing the game on Hard:
  • Rain death from above - Almost everything in this game is easier to tackle from the rooftops, and there are even several places during story missions where you can skip enemies altogether and just go to your next objective by going over their heads. It's also much easier to make a quick escape to recharge - if you get stuck on the ground and get in trouble, it's virtually impossible to get away before you get killed.
  • Keep your distance - Again, the worst thing you can do is to get yourself caught in the middle of a throng of enemies, and the best way to avoid that is to stay as far back as possible. It will take a little longer to get the job done, but will ultimately prove to be easier.
  • Don't be afraid to use your powers - It can be tempting just to spam your normal bolts all day long, because they don't drain your electricity, but if you're facing a large enemy or a large group of enemies (especially if they're clumped together), grenades and rockets will be the way to go. As long as you're staying back, you should be able to fire off several of them and then find a place to recharge before shooting off some more. Some of the bigger enemies will laugh at your bolts, but will be downed by just a few hits from your more powerful weapons.
  • Use the environment - Obviously, water is the big key here, especially in Flood Town. A few well placed shots into the water can take down a whole group of enemies that would otherwise have overwhelmed you, so abuse it whenever you have the opportunity - just make sure you don't fall in after them. In addition to water, keep your eyes open for gas tanks or anything else that will explode and deal large amounts of damage, especially when taking on large enemies or groups.

* Please Note - You MUST pause the game the VERY FIRST time you take control of Cole (Before you even even look with the Right Stick). Go to Options, and change the difficulty to Hard. Otherwise you will not receive this trophy upon completion of the game.

Tip from HibariLelouch37 -
You don't actually need to change the difficulty the first time you move with Cole because I changed it after the first fight with The Beast and I still got the trophy, I think the deadline is when you actually get to New Marais.
So apparently so long as you switch difficulties BEFORE you use your Ionic Storm power on the beast for a second time it will give you the trophy.

Just One More
Pick up all the blast shards scattered around New Marais.

Yes, blast shards are back. At any time during your wandering of New Marais, you can press or to see the location of any blast shards that are close enough to be seen on your mini-map. As you pick them up, you'll earn more energy cores, increasing amount of electricity Cole can use with his special powers before having to recharge.

There is also an unlockable power called "Blast Shard Sense," that will enable you to see the location of the nearest blast shard even if it is not close enough to be on your mini-map. You can purchase this power for 2500 XP after completing 60 side missions, and it should make cleaning up those last few shards much less painful than it was in the original inFAMOUS.

There are 305 shards in total, and you'll have to collect them all to earn this trophy.

Check the spoilers below for maps showing the location of all blast shards on both islands.

With Great Power Comes Greater Power
Unlock and purchase all powers.

* Please Note - You might have to spend some time in Aftermath wandering around and earning XP to purchase the last few powers. I recommend going into the Gas Works district if you don't feel like playing any more UGCs and run around killing any straggling enemies (yes there will be a select few even if you control both islands) and complete any karma side actions you can. As you run around, blow up the giant gas tanks standing up (the ones with 3 long vertical launch poles on them) to earn some extra XPs. Also if you have already beaten the game and are playing on Hard, switch the difficulty to easy so you get more bonus points for your stunts.

* Please Note - Upon completing the game for a second time you will be rewarded with 15000 XP AND you will have access to every power regardless of Karmic State. You can choose to get this trophy after your second playthrough to reduce any need of grinding. Simply collect every power that is a neutral power and every power aligning with your karmic state.

There is an infinite XP method I found for an evil playthrough for anyone who hasn't gotten to the Storm the Fort missions. Here is the link to the thread explaining the glitch: Here

This trophy is a little bit misleading. You don't have to actually purchase each and every one of these powers to be awarded the trophy. Only powers that are relevant to your playthrough are necessary. For example if you are doing a good playthrough you wouldn't be required to purchase the Scythe Bolt Power since you wouldn't be able to unlock the power at all.

I will color coordinate each power so you know which ones are required for you depending on which playthrough you are on. Neutral Powers must be bought either way so they can remain in a normal black text.

Fight the Good Fight
Unlock the good ending.

This is the story based trophy for the "Good" side. To get this trophy you will have to start up the mission "Final Decision". You will view a cutscene and have to make a final choice. You can either side with Nix or you can side with Kuo. You are going to want to use to side with Nix (shocking isn't it). Once you have chosen to side with Nix you will be follow the "good ending" path. Simply complete the mission and you will receive the trophy.

The final battle for the good side is:

First you must get to the boats and wait until you get to the station where you will have to try to power up the RFI. Your plans will be foiled by the beast and you will have to use your Tether to climb back to the New Marais using the boats to get from point to point.

Once you reach the island you will be required to go with Nix to one of the last remaining generators. At this generator you will have to actually fight the beast again. He has the same two moves that he had in the beginning of the game, shoot fireballs and try to suck you into his hand. After you damage him enough Kuo will appear to help the beast. Defeat Kuo and continue working on the beast. Kuo isn't very strong and is pretty easy to defeat.

Keep working at the beast and after you damage him enough for Kuo to show up a second time. Do the same as the first time and defeat Kuo and work on the Beast until his health is completely gone. Once it is gone you will watch a heroic cutscene. Then you will have to run to the top of the cathedral and use the very last generator on the island to power up the RFI. Run straight there and don't stop. Once you get there you will see another cutscene powering up the RFI. Once the RFI is charged and you get control of Cole again you will have to take out the Beast for good. Use your ultimate deadly attacks to bring the Beast down quickly.

From then on relax, enjoy the final cutscene and the credits and you will be rewarded with the trophy.

[top]
Forging Your Own Path
Unlock the evil ending.

And, of course, this is the final story-related trophy for the "Evil" side of the campaign. To activate the mission, you're going to press to "fulfill your karmic destiny" by siding with Kuo and The Beast. From there on out, it's just a matter of completing the mission to end the game and earn yourself this trophy.

As you start off, press to jump up and take a little ride with The Beast. You can fire at enemies if you want, but there's really no need. After a while, you'll run into an old friend. Nix isn't very happy with the choice you've made and has decided to take it out on you by blasting you with the RFI. Hit her as soon as you can with long range bolts and/or your Precision power, and follow her from one perch to another.

Once you've taken care of her (for now), you'll rejoin The Beast for some more rampaging, and this time you'll be able to do a little more work. As long as you're tethered to The Beast, your electricity will slowly recharge, so blast away at the enemies on the ground and in the boats with your missiles until you run into Nix again. Get rid of her and then - you guessed it - you'll rejoin The Beast.

After this ride, you'll face Nix for the final time on top of the cathedral. She's tough and has good long range attacks to keep you at bay, but there is plenty of electricity up there to recharge you, and if you get in trouble you can hide behind the buildings on either side of the roof while draining the lights or even drop down off of the roof to get yourself well again before heading back up. If you manage to get yourself in close, use your amp to deal some major damage.

Once Nix is down for good, you'll have to follow the on screen prompts to finish the game, at which point you'll be left to enjoy the final cutscene and ponder your choice while the credits roll. After they're finished, this trophy will pop.

Land Lord
Take over the first island in New Marais.

Every time you complete a side mission (marked on the map by a yellow circle with an exclamation point, filled in with different colors depending on whether they are good, evil or neutral), you'll get a notice that you have taken over a part of the city and enemy activity is reduced. You'll also notice that the area you have taken over is lighter in color and surrounded by a border that is white on the side you own and red on the side still held by the enemy.

To earn this trophy, you'll need to complete all of the side missions on the first island (Main New Marais (the first section of the island where you begin the game) and Ascension Perish), so that you have taken over all of the land area it includes.

There are over 30 side missions on the first island that you must complete in order to unlock this trophy.

More side missions become available as you progress through the story mode. The final mission you need to complete to have access to every side mission in New Marais is the "Storm the Fort" mission.

* Please Note - Not all side missions are shown on the map right away. There are hidden package missions and convoy missions you can only activate after killing enemies. So if you are at the point where each mission should be obtainable and there are still parts of New Marais not under your control and you can't see any yellow dots, head to the area not under control and look around for some baddies to devastate. Once the right enemy is defeated his body will glow yellow and you can activate the mission. In some cases, this enemy may already be downed, lying in a group of citizens that need healed (marked by a blue circle with a white cross on the map).

There are a total of 1 Hidden Packages in the Main Section of the island, and 1 Hidden Package and 2 Radio Convoys in the Ascension Perish area.

The Hidden Package in the main part of the island can be found near the Cathedral.

The Hidden Package in Ascension Perish can be found inside he Graveyard. The convoys in Ascension Perish can be found inside of Leo Park and to the left of the Fort.

As you may or may have not noticed from the "Lost and Found" mission in the beginning of the game, dead drops are no longer satellite dish's but are instead birds. Use he following maps to get their general fly zone (which is almost always a large circle). Head to the big red dots and look on your map in the lower right hand corner. You will notice that there is a bird shaped light blue thing moving around. That is your dead drop. To collect the dead drop you must use a blast move (+) to knock the bird out of the sky, or just shoot it down. Arch Villain
Earn full negative Karma.

You are frequently presented with choices during your time in New Marais, and choosing the "evil" options will give you negative karma. To unlock this trophy, you'll need to max out your evil karma, meaning that all three sections of the lower portion of your karma meter must be completely full.

Another thing that will lower your karma is completing the "evil" side missions. Side missions filled in with a red dot are the evil side missions.

In addition to choosing the negative options when given a choice during missions, there are several things you can do while making your way around the city that will change your karma for the worse:
  • Bio-leeching downed civilians or enemies (Press while standing over them and then tap )
  • Killing civilians
  • Completing "Police Submission" (marked on your map by a red shield icon) or "Street Performer Silenced" (marked by a musical note inside a red circle) tasks
  • Killing the hostages that are being taken during the "Abduction" tasks
  • Silencing Protesters (shown as a red circle with a slash through it on your map)
  • Getting near a blast shard bomb (blue circles with bombs in it) and letting it detonate, hurting the civilian, BUT, you must hit the enemy with your lightning to make them arc with the bomb when it blows up.

Incorruptible
Earn full positive Karma.

You are frequently presented with choices during your time in New Marais, and choosing the "good" options will give you positive karma. To unlock this trophy, you'll need to max out your positive karma, meaning that all three sections of the upper portion of your karma meter must be completely full.

Another thing that will raise your karma is completing the "good" side missions. Side missions filled in with a blue dot are the good side missions.

In addition to choosing the positive options when given a choice during missions, there are several things you can do while making your way around the city that will change your karma for the better:
  • Stop mugging's in progress
  • Stop Abductions
  • Stop blast shard bombs from going off
  • Healing downed civilians (Press while standing over them and then tap )
  • Arc Welding enemies (Press while standing over them and then tap )

Collect 50% of the available Dead Drops.

See Well inFORMED.

This trophy will pop once you have collected your 14th Dead Drop.

Closed Casket Affair
Give Bertrand what he wants.

For this trophy you will have to complete the "Demons" mission in the story line.

The mission is fairly straight forward and not too difficult. You start by running to Zeke's truck. From there you have to stop Bertrand from destroying the truck by shooting his mouth when he charges you or simply using your blast attacks to stop his slime balls from hitting you and he car when prompted by Zeke.

Once you stop moving you will have to fight Bertrand. Simply ignore the enemies around you because Nix and Kuo will be there helping out. Once the beast exposes the pinks in his arms shoot them. Keep dong this until it is time to run again.

This time you are going to be on a helicopter. Simply blast his spit back like before and when prompted use your bolts to blow up the missiles.

Once you stop moving again you will have to fight him to the death.blow up either one of his arms first. Then you are going to have to aim in his chest. Then the other arm, and then his chest again. I suggest using the Bolt Stream for this to make it faster.

Once you finish him off you will watch a short little cutscene and the mission will end and you will get your trophy.

[top]
A Streetcar Named 'Boom!'
Complete BOOM!

This is the first of several missions where you have to choose your path: good vs. evil.

In this particular scenario, this mission is the evil side. You'll watch a debate between Zeke and Nix about how best to attack a plantation, and then you'll access this mission by heading to the red mission circle on your map.

When you get there, you'll find that Nix has loaded a street car with enough explosives to blow up half of the city, and you'll have to zap the engine on the roof of the trolley and then ride it to its destination, eliminating any enemies along the way and zapping it again as needed to keep it moving. After a few blocks, you'll jump off of the trolley as it goes through the gates, and then you'll just have to kill off most of the enemies and disable some mortar turrets to prompt a cutscene.

After the cutscene, finish off the rest of the enemies outside the plantation and get Kuo to Zeke in the getaway car to finish off the mission.

[top]
Quid Pro Kuo
Complete Leading the Charge.

Accepting and completing this mission will lock the BOOM! Evil mission.

This is the Good path of the story and it is mission 13. You will be given a choice whether to play this mission or BOOM!, obviously you are going to pick this one if you are playing your good playthrough.

The mission starts out where you have to free a bunch of police taken prisoner. Wait on the roof until the helicopter patrolling with the militia is in range. Take out the helicopter before doing anything else. Once the Chopper is down, go to the middle truck (the one with all the police locked up. Turn to the car in front of you and take out the three men on top. next take care of the three men on top of the truck behind you. Once those six are gone jump off and throw a few bombs in the trucks to take out the rest of the militia. Once you are prompted to free the fellow officers do so.

Next you are going to have to head back to the mansion area and take out some baddies and get to the shed. Once you are at the shed you will be knocked out of the sheds way by a mortar and you will be prompted to run around the building taking out all of the mortars and enemies. Once you clean up all the enemies from around the building head back to the shed and head in. Once you are in you will view a cutscene and return with Kuo back to the courtyard of the mansion. There will be a bunch of militia and some new enemies to play with. Simply knock some skulls around as the tortoise (Kuo) slowly makes her way to the getaway car. Once she is near it head to the car with her and you will view another cutscene. Once that cutscene is over you will be rewarded for completing the mission and you will receive the trophy.

Playing Both Sides
Complete Fooling the Rebels.

At the end of the story mission "Transferring Power," you will be left with two different options for getting the rebels on your side to help assault the fort. To earn this trophy, you'll need to head to the red mission marker and start the mission "Fooling the Rebels," which is the evil side to this mission, so obviously you'll want to do it on your evil playthrough.

At the beginning of the mission, you'll have to get into the fort to disable some communications relays - note that you do not need to kill the enemies in the fort at this point, so if you can find a route over the rooftops to get from one relay to the next, you'll want to do it, especially if you're doing this one on your hard playthrough. From there, you'll briefly play as Nix and blast the rebels as they come into the area with a gun located in the fort. After you have finished with that part, you'll resume as Cole and will need to take out the gun from the ground to get the rebels on your side.

Once you have destroyed the gun and finished off the rest of the enemies in the area, the mission will end and this trophy will pop.

[top]
Ambulance Chaser
Complete Hearts and Minds Campaign.

For this trophy you must start the mission "Transferring Power" which is a story based mission. Once the mission starts you will see a cutscene and be forced which path of the story you wish to take. This is the "good side" part of that mission which is called "Hearts and Minds Campaign". Go to the blue marker to help Kuo out.

Once the mission starts you will have to protect an ambulance as you make your way to LaRoche's place with some meds for his people to bribe him into having his army of followers help Cole and Kuo. Once you safely help transport the ambulance to LaRoche's place you will get swarmed by a LOT of enemies from all different directions. Take out all the enemies in any way you feel necessary. Once he enemies have been dispatched the mission will end and you will receive this trophy.

[top]
Status Kuo
Choose Kuo in Storm the Fort.

After completing the Transferring Power mission you will have to play the Storm the Fort story mission. You will be tasked to take out several turrets, then resupply power to the area. Next you are going to have to take out two different mortars. Once you have completed those tasks you will see a cutscene and at the end of it you must make a choice. Either you can choose to side with Nix by pressing or you can side with Kuo using .

To receive this trophy you will obviously have to follow along the "good" path and side with Kuo. After the following cutscene you will receive new powers and this trophy.

[top]
Get Nix'ed
Choose Nix in Storm the Fort.

To receive this trophy you will obviously have to follow along the "evil" path and side with Nix. After the following cutscene you will receive new powers and this trophy.

[top]
Am I The Daddy?
Complete Nix's New Family.

You'll have the option to choose this mission after viewing the cutscene during the "Railyard Intel" mission, and since this is the evil option, you'll want to once again head toward the red mission circle.

The mission begins simply enough - follow Nix on the rooftops until you come to an area with a bunch of Militia, and then take them all out. From there, you'll need to fire a tesla missile from the nearby transformer to another (just like in the "Powering up" missions), and then from that second transformer you'll fire missiles to dispatch some Militia on a few towers in the area.

With that done, your next step is to guard Nix as she works with the monsters in the boxcar, and this is also done by firing tesla missiles from your transformer to kill the Ice Soldiers as they surround her. You can take out several enemies with one missile, as long as you take care not to run it into a solid object. Your final shot will be at a nearby transformer, which you'll then need to head over and activate, releasing Nix's new pets. Follow them to the group of Ice Soldiers in the neighborhood and help to finish them off, ending the mission and earning you this trophy.

[top]
Exposure
Complete Exposing Bertrand.

This is a "Good" mission branching from the "Railyard Intel" mission. You will have to choose a side, in the case of this trophy you will head towards the blue mission point to join up with Kuo and start the mission "Exposing Bertrand".

This mission will require you to head into the blackout zone to make your way around to the Rail Yard from the north side. Be careful in the blackout zone because you won't be able to run from the enemies without them catching up. Make your way to the island in back of the Rail Yard and head inside the rail yard.

Once inside you will have to take pictures of the prisoners in front of you. After this you will have to go around the Rail Yard taking pictures of three more sets of prisoners being held by Bertrand. Make sure you stay up in the air because if you get caught by any of the enemies you will die and have to try again (Don't worry about dying because it will count each set of prisoners you already took pictures of but you will have to start out again from the first set of prisoners). You can shoot enemies as long as it is a 1 hit precision head shot kill and there isn't any enemies around them.

Once you have your three pictures taken head to the warehouse still staying above ground level and get on top. You will notice that there is a set of windows open up top. Position yourself just right looking through the open windows to see Bertrand standing near another man inside of a cargo train box. You will have to take a picture of Bertrand and the man this time. A cutscene will follow the picture and you will have to take another picture of Bertrand.

Once you get the second picture of Bertrand you will have to watch another cutscene and afterwards start freeing the captives. Once you get the first two done you will have to watch another cutscene and then fight a Devourer. Once you take out the Devourer you will be done with this mission and you will receive the trophy.

[top]
The Cleaner
Complete the assassination side missions.

To receive this trophy you must complete several "Evil" side missions, which are marked on your map by a red circle with an exclamation point inside. These missions include:

- Taking Out the Trash
- The Hunt
- Assassin's Greed

The first two missions are located on the first island of new Marais and the latter mission is found in Flood Town. Once you complete all three of these missions you will be rewarded with XP for each mission along with some more Negative Karma and lets not forget this well earned trophy.

* Please note - Be sure to do only these evil missions during your evil playthrough and only the good missions while being a hero, because if you do a good mission while going for this trophy it will lock out its evil counterpart and you will have to start a new game to get it.

[top]
Frozen Asset
Complete the ice Conduit side missions.

To receive this trophy you must complete several "Good" side missions, which are marked on your map by a blue circle with an exclamation point inside. These missions include:

- Unlikely Allies
- Stay Frosty
- The Big Chill
- Mercy Kill

The first two missions are located in Flood Town and the latter two missions are found in the Gas Works. Once you complete all four of these missions you will be rewarded with with XP for each mission along with some more Positive Karma and lets not forget this well earned trophy.

* Please note - Be sure to do only these good missions during your good playthrough and only the evil missions while being inFAMOUS, because if you do an evil mission while going for this trophy it will lock out its good counterpart and you will have to start a new game to get it.

[top]
Dazed and Defused
Take down the Blast Shard Bomber.

For this trophy you must start up he "The Gauntlet" side mission in the Gas Works area once you have restored power to that section. You will have to follow a man nicknamed "The Blast Shard Bomber" who will be trying to stop you by blowing shit up all around you. Once you catch up to him you will see that he has a shard strapped to his chest and be surrounded by civilians tied up. This is where you have to make a karma choice.

Good Karma: Diffuse the bomb that is on his chest, take him down and arc restrain him.
-or-
Evil Karma: Just destroy the bastard.

Either way you will complete the side mission and receive the trophy.

[top]
Back to the Bayou
Return to the swamp blockade.

* Please Note - You NEED the upgraded Thrusters to obtain this trophy. The upgraded thrusters are given to you in the story mission "Good Gets Better".

What you are going to want to do for this trophy is simply head back to the spot where you first landed on New Marais. It is on the first island and it's the topmost dock with a building on it on the left hand side of the water's edge (It basically juts out of the white ring representing your control on the island). First climb onto the cabin of Zeke's boat and fly towards the nearest electrical pole sticking out of the water. Climb that all the way to the top and take that grind rail all the way.

Once you reach the platform, head to the backside of it, up the stairs and onto the yellow piping coming off the platform. Keep following those yellow pipes until you land on the second platform. Look to your right and jump onto the electrical pole sticking out of the water there and get on the grind rail.

You will land on the third island. Immediately look to your right and head down towards the end of the platform. Get on the grind rail to bring you to the fourth island. Look out into the water where you first learned to climb on things. Climb your way along the wooden walls until you get to the broken dock. Thrust your way over to the standing dock and cross the water using he wooden platform and signs. As soon as you jump off those platforms you will be at the island where your first giant shoot out occurred in the beginning of the game. Just stand there for a few seconds and let the trophy pop.

* Please Note - While you are back on this island, follow it farther up towards where the game started and you first had the option whether or not to heal the downed civilians and grab the dead drop on this island so you don't have to waste any more time going back there.

[top]
Mountaineer
Climb to the top of the 3 tallest buildings in New Marais.

The three tallest buildings in the game are The Cathedral, The Clock Tower, and the Ice Tower.

The Cathedral is located on the main island on the Western Side inside the big opening you see on the map.

The Clocktower is located directly north of the cathedral in the northwest area of the Main Island in the opening southeast of the northern bridge to the second island.

The Ice Tower is located on the second island in the Gas Works area. This is in the Mid Eastern side of the second islands in the lower of the two open circles on the map.

For the trophy to count you must ascend ALL the way up these three monstrous buildings to their highest point. Here are the highest points of the three buildings:

Cathedral - Cole must be standing on the peaks of either one of the belfrys.

Clocktower - You must ascend all the way to the top and stand on the very tip of the spike that is at the top of the tower.

Ice Tower - You must climb all the way up the tower and use the vertical launch poles to climb all the way til you are standing on top of the antenna. While you are all the way up here though you might as well go for the Thunder Flop trophy to save you the hassle of climbing this building all over again.

Here is a visual demonstartion of how to obtain the trophy:

Extreme Makeover
Destroy 30 verandas or other large objects.

All around New Marais, there are balconies and other objects that you can obliterate with your arsenal of powers, and taking down 30 such large objects will earn you this trophy. Typically, this involves hitting the supports holding them up with grenades or your blast powers, and the entire structure must fall down for it to count.

The best way to go about this trophy is to run around the first island of New Marais looking for the balconies with the lights wrapping around the banisters and poles. When you come across these simply throw up some sticky bombs to the second story's platform blowing out the floor and supports. Let the balcony come crashing all the way down and keep going from one to the next until the trophy pops.

If you have moved on to other areas and haven't gotten this one out of the way yet, the large towers that enemies use to snipe you from and the large fuel tanks you come across in the rail yards on the second island also go toward this total.

You'll know that your work is counting toward this trophy when you see the Big Destruction (5 XP) bonus pop up on your screen. (simula67).

[top]
Watch That First Step
Defeat an enemy by destroying the object they stand on.

There are plenty of opportunities to earn this trophy, and your first one comes right as you enter New Marais for the first time. As you're following Kuo to the first blast core, there are several enemies shooting at you from balconies and towers. Use your Alpha Blast ( + ) or grenades ( + ) to take out the supports holding one of them up, and this trophy will be yours, although it may take a few tries, either because you kill the enemies before knocking the platform out from under them or because they don't die when they hit the ground.

Finish What You Started
Perform 100 finishers or ultra melee combos.

Finisher and Ultra Melee combos are easy. What you want to do is hit your opponents using the button until you see the meter on the left present a icon. use the button on an enemy and it will "finish" him in one shot (except the bigger monsters). You will have to do this to 100 enemies or civilians so if you are on your Bad playthrough then it shouldn't take much (if any) effort. If you are on your good playthrough however I recommend doing these kinds of attacks on small groups of enemies to prevent yourself from dying.

* Please Note - You must unlock and purchase either the Finisher or Ultra powers in the melee section before you can start racking up the kills.

[top]
Knockout in the Blackout
Defeat 50 enemies in powered down areas while no missions are active.

You must be free roaming for any kills to count towards this trophy. There are certain missions you have to enter the blackout zone but those kills won't count towards this trophy at all.

This is no easy task, because enemies in blacked out areas are heavily armed, and you have no easy way to recharge yourself if you take damage or use anything other than your standard bolts. Blacked out areas are clearly marked on your map, and you'll get a warning message on the bottom of the screen any time you go into one.

Your best bet is to head into one of these areas on the rooftops, and take out the enemies guarding the streets down below - you'll need to sneak around them to hit the guys behind the large guns from the side or behind - taking them head on is a suicide mission. Take out as many as you can before you start getting hit, and then head back to the powered area to juice yourself up before heading in for more.

If you get far enough away from a spot where enemies are patrolling and come back a little later you will notice that enemies respawn, take advantage of this to stay close to a powered area.

If you run into a helicopter, be sure to lure it back out into a powered area before trying to take it on.

I HIGHLY recommend you get this done in the first blackout zone because the enemies in the second one are much bigger, hit harder, and do more damage. Make things easy on yourself and get this out of the way ASAP.

* Please Note - Once you are nearing the end of the game there may not be many more blackout areas (if any) in which you can obtain this trophy. I recommend doing it on the main island basically as soon as you can before restoring power to the other side of the island.

* Please Note - If you have already restored power to the Gas Works district then you have already locked out your last chance to obtain this trophy.

[top]
Go Long!
Hurl 50 objects using the Kinetic Pulse ability.

You'll learn the Kinetic Pulse when you use the first blast core at the beginning of the game, and once you get it, you'll have no problem using it enough to earn this trophy. Simply walk up to a car, hold down , aim and press to throw it. Rinse and repeat 50 times, and the trophy will pop.

If you want to make things a little more interesting, try standing on top of the car as you pick it up.

[top]
Cole' Blooded
Defeat 100 civilians.

Obviously, this is one you'll want to focus on during your Evil Karma playthrough, and it's as simple as it sounds. There are plenty of civilians roaming the streets of New Marais, so just keep killing them until you get this trophy to come up, at which point you can stop... or not.

Please Note - You must KILL the civilians and not just hurt them. Make sure they are completely finished off before heading to your next victim. You can tell if they are dead by standing near them. If the prompt pops up to either heal them or bio-leech them then they are not dead. Either Bio-Leech or melee them to finish them off.

[top]
Army Of Me
Defeat 300 enemies.

This will come through natural progression of the game, there are tons of enemies scattered around, simple keep on killing and you will get this trophy without much effort.

If you are really concerned about this trophy then just run around in territories that you haven't taken control of yet and kill enemies.

[top]
Hero to the People
Stop 80 crimes in progress.

This trophy is a "good" playthrough trophy. You can either get this on your hero run or after you have gotten the All Powers trophy on your evil playthrough but either way you must complete 80 good side actions. Be sure that you see a large blue banner at the top of your screen indicating that you have finished the task, or it will not count.

The good Crimes in Progress are marked by blue markers while the evil Crimes are marked in red.

Good playthrough Crimes in Progress:

- Stop mugging in progress - The stop mugging in progress is marked by a gun in a blue dot. In these Crimes you will have to stop the two men who are trying to mug a woman. Simply beat the snot out of them without killing the woman and you will be rewarded with some good karma and another credit towards this trophy.

- Deactivate Bomb - The deactivate bomb Crimes are marked with a bomb in a blue dot. In these missions you must find the bomb and diffuse it quick by absorbing the electricity out of it before it explodes and kills surrounding citizens. Once the bomb is diffused you must pick up the blast shard (Note - these count towards "finding blast shards" to increase your abilities but do not count towards the shard collection trophies). Once the shard is picked up you will be credited with the blast shard as well as some good karma, xp, and another credit towards the trophy.

- Stop Abduction - The stop abduction crimes are marked by a person holding their head in a blue dot. For these missions you simply have to find where the citizens are being abducted. Once you find them being transported with militia standing around them simply open fire onto one of them. Let the civilians hit the floor so you don't kill them. Defeat the militia guards transporting their prisoners and you will get some good karma, xp, and another credit towards the trophy.

- Heal Civilians - The Heal Civilians crimes are marked on the map by a cross n a blue dot. For these missions all you have to do is find the group of downed civilians and one by one (or all at once if you have the upgrade) heal them. To heal a downed civilian simply stand over them and lock on with and hold . Once all the downed civilians have been healed you will get more good karma, xp, and a credit for the trophy.

Nothing Can Bring Me Down
Stay off the ground for 130 meters.

This trophy is easiest done along with Thunder Flop. You are going to need the Improved Static Thrusters upgrade (Given to you for completing the Good Gets Better mission).

If you have this upgrade then simply climb up to the top of either the Cathedral, Clock Tower, or Ice Tower.

If you are using the Cathedral simply face towards the Clock Tower (located to the north) and use your thrusters to stay airborne until you finally come back down to earth.

If you are using the Clock Tower then just do the opposite (Face the Cathedral) and do the same.

If you are using the Ice Tower simply jump off and activate your improved thrusters and keep going til you receive this trophy (I also recommend going for Thunder Flop if you already haven't obtained it if you are using the Ice Tower).

Any one of these will net you the trophy so long as you don't land too early on a building or anything else high up.

Return to Sender
Send a Helicopter's rockets back at it using any Blast ability.

Helicopters are typically found patrolling in blacked out areas of the map. Go into one and run around a bit, and then as soon as the helicopter comes after you, high tail it back to the powered area.

Once you're there, pay attention to the helicopter's pattern, and when you see it target you with a laser beam, you'll know it's about to shoot its rockets. Keep aiming at it () and after the rockets are fired, press to use your blast ability and send them back where they came from.

Another opportunity to obtain this trophy if you are having a hard time getting a helicopter to chase you out of the blackout zone or having a hard time destroying the helicopter IN the blackout zone, simply aim to receive this trophy in Story Mission "Bertrand Takes The Stage". At the end of that mission you are pitted up against a helicopter who will shoot at you with it's machine guns. Simply dodge these and use the items around you to heal you if needed. It will eventually show it's ugly lasers and try to hit you with its rockets. Simply keep aiming at the helicopter with and let the rockets start flying towards you, After about a second or two of firing the rockets start hitting the button with your Alpha Blast equipped to send the rockets soaring right back to where they came from.

Once again, the Kinetic Pulse will be your power of choice for this task. Any time you are fighting a group of enemies, find a car and pick it up by holding , aim your reticule at the enemies and press to hurl it at them. Once you kill 25 enemies that way, you'll unlock this trophy.

Take Them For A Spin
Hit at least 6 cars in a single Ionic Vortex.

This one may be a bit tougher to achieve on your Good playthrough but will easily be a breeze on your Bad playthrough.

What you want to do is once you learn the ionic blast, simply kill some enemies until you receive an Ionic Charge. Once you have collected i you are ready to set off an Ionic Vortex. If you are on your bad playthrough just find any 6 cars and set off your ionic blast facing towards the six cars. If you are on your good playthrough however you are going to want to find a big parking lot surrounded by buildings and set off your Ionic Vortex to clean them up.

The vortex must hit AND blow up at least 6 cars for the trophy to unlock, if a car flies out of the vortex without fully blowing up it will not count. Don't be deceived by not receive a CARnage bonus because it will not always give you one due to the time frame.

Shock and Awe
Thunder drop into a group of 5 or more enemies.

The best chance to get this trophy early in the game is during the side mission Masquerade. You'll be taking on a horde of militia disguised as statue street performers, and in the middle of the plaza is a small pillar.

During the fight, the enemies will swarm you, so if you climb up on that pillar they will all surround it, and you can perform a thunder drop into the middle of the group to grab this trophy.

There will be more opportunities to grab this trophy along the way. Just keep an eye out for enemies flocking towards you (while you are up on a building) and make sure there are at least 5 of them. Once you are sure there are at least five perform a Thunder Drop (jump and hold )

If you find a nice group with real potential during a mission and you mess up or miss one of the people and don't get the trophy simply let the opponents kill you and try it again.

Thunder Flop
Thunder drop from the highest place in New Marais.

You receive this trophy for doing a Thunder Drop off of the Ice Tower. To complete a Thunder Drop simply jump off the very top of the Ice Tower (The Antenna) and when you are sure you are clear of the building simply press . This will bring Cole rocketing back down to earth to net you this trophy. You may want to wait until you've finished powering up the area, because it's much easier to get to the top of the tower with the help of the vertical launch poles.

* Please Note - This trophy will not unlock if you thunder drop and hit the building on the way down or if you land in any of the mounds of ice located all around the tower's base. I advise that you look out and choose a landing spot and aim for that spot. Also make sure you get as close to the very edge of any of he antenna's before you jump to give you that much extra distance on the jump. That being said, you do not have to Thunder Drop all the way down from the top, so feel free to use your Static Thrusters right after you jump to give yourself a little extra clearance before pressing .

Head Hunter
Use the Precision ability to rack up three head shots in rapid succession.

The Precision ability allows you to zoom in and aim your electricity in slow motion. It's unlocked fairly early in the game, but you may want to wait until later to try for this one, because using precision drains your electricity, and there is another upgrade you get later that slows down that drain, giving you more time to shoot.

Once you're comfortable with your electrical capacity, you just need to find at least three enemies close together and get three headshots within a few seconds to earn this trophy. To use the precision ability you must be aiming at the enemies using up direction on the D-Pad and shoot with .

You will need to get the three headshots while the old bonus' are still present on the screen, meaning you must get it to say "Precision Headshot (x3)" for this trophy to unlock. You can easily get this from a distance on enemies on balconies that don't have much room for running or on either the "good side action" where you have to rescue the abducted prisoners (since they wait for you to fire first and by the time they react and look at you, you can get them without much difficulty) or the "evil side action" where you have to take out the group of 3 police officers.

You may also attempt this on regular civilians with the cost of losing Karma on a good playthrough.

* Please Note - You do not have to get three headshots in a row, as long as the three you get are bunched closely enough together. (simula67)

There are many different types of performers, most of them playing some type of instrument, but the ones you're looking for to unlock this trophy will be completely white and usually standing on a pedestal.

I'm As Shocked As You Are
Defeat an enemy or civilian by stepping in water.

This one is a fairly easy trophy to accomplish. You can either do this to an enemy or a civilian but it is much easier with a civilian since they are easier to come by.

Simply go to the streets anywhere that is bordered by water and use your Kinetic Pulse Ability (+) to send your enemy (or civilian) flying into the waters. Once they are in the water splashing around like a bumbling idiot, simply hop into the water and the game will automatically send out shocking waves of electricity into the water surrounding Cole. It shouldn't take more then a second or two to completely fry the target so make sure you hop out fast because if you stay in the water too long it's another death for you.

Another way to get this that requires less effort is o wait until you get to Flood Town. Flood Town is almost fully submerged under water so there are tons of enemies and civilians wading through the water. Fry one of them, get your trophy, and get the hell out of he water and try to never go back in.

Don't Fence Me In
Climb a chain link fence and rejoice.

It doesn't get much easier than this: find a chain link fence, climb to the top of it and jump off, and you can add this trophy to your collection.

Express Elevator
Ascend 50 vertical launch poles.

You can get this trophy basically as soon as you arrive in San Marias. You have to find yourself at least one Vertical Launch Pole. Once you find yourself one launch pole simply use the pole as many times as you need to get this trophy.

A vertical launch pole is usually yellow and they can be found in various parts of the city. One of the most notable places is on the Cathedral which you start near in the first mission once you arrive to the city. Simply climb up the cathedral in the middle of one of the faces and you will get to one of these vertical poles. You will know it's a launch pole because as soon as you touch the pole Cole will grab it and it will send you flying upwards using electricity. You can simply use one pole over and over until the trophy pops or you can keep using them throughout the game.

If you are nearing the end of the game and still don't have this trophy I recommend using one pole until you receive the trophy.

Heavy Hitter
Use your Ionic Powers 30 times.

You'll unlock several ionic powers as you progress through the story, starting with the Ionic Vortex. To use them, you must collect Ionic Charges from defeated enemies. You can only hold one, two or three charges at a time (depending on how far you've progressed), so you'll want to use them early and often until you get this trophy out of the way.

Your ionic attacks do NOT have to hit any enemy for them to count, so if you are on your good playthrough and don't want to worry about harming civilians send some blasts out to stranded islands around New Marais.

Matching Set
Unlock and purchase a power of each type by performing stunts.

This trophy will be obtained while going for With Great Power Comes More Power.

What you have to do for this is purchase at least one of each type of power (Bolts, Blasts, Grenades, Rockets, Misc. Power, Ionic Power, Amp Upgrades, and Upgrades) that requires you to perform stunts to unlock the power.

You cannot obtain this trophy until you get to Flood Town and gain the ability to use rockets. Once you have access to the rockets and have enough XP to purchase your upgrades do so. Once you buy the last upgrade per power type (that requires a stunt to unlock the power) you will receive this trophy.

See With Great Power Comes More Power for a list of all powers and how to unlock them. Also refer to the stunts section to see how to acquire each stunt bonus if you get stuck.

Level Up
Create a new mission using the UGC level editor.

The easiest way to earn this trophy is to press start and select "User Generated Content". Then hit "Create Mission From Template" and choose any of the templates shown. Instantly press start and select "Exit Mission Designer". It will ask you if you want to save the mission, simply select yes and you will receive the trophy.

If you illegitimately want to earn this trophy the proper way, enter the User Generated Content section and create a whole new mission for everyone around the world to enjoy. Once you exit the creation and save it you will receive the trophy.

Another way to earn this trophy is to use the "Remix" option on an existing UGC level. Once you have unlocked UGC, walk up to one of the green markers and press to remix the level. Make any change to one of the components of the level (it can even be as simple as renaming something), press , exit the level creator and choose to save your creation. (GolfingDevil05)

You can play these missions by walking up to the green marker and pressing , and to earn this trophy you just need to play and complete 10 such levels at any point during your game. The Sucker Punch UGCs count towards this total also.

[top]
UGC Veteran
Play 25 user-generated missions.

Obviously, this is the same as UGC Curious above, with the only difference being that you have to play 15 more levels (for a total of 25) to unlock this one.

[top]
Trail Blazer
Play 5 user-generated missions under the Newest filter.

To access the UGC filters, press > User-Generated Content > Mission Filters. Once you're there, change the "Show" field to Newest, and then back out into your game.
