[top]Tips & Strategies

You get 1 free mulligan at the beginning of each match. Use this to your advantage if you have a sub-par beginning hand. Feel free to restart the match while in campaign if you get a poor starting hand as this will cut down on wasted time towards unlocking all the cards.

You unlock cards by beating ANY opponent, except for Challenges. So, you can unlock cards by repeatedly playing against Chandra Nalaar at the very beginning of the campaign, even though the AI will constantly adjust to your play styles and get increasingly difficult. If you choose to do this, the deck you will fight against is always the same so there's no need to be cautious of cards that would be unlocked in later duels.

Always try to act LAST in each altercation. The chance to go last means that your spell/ability will resolve before the spells/abilities that are already being played. This is known as FILO (First in, Last Out) and using this to your advantage will make many of the more difficult tasks easier.

If you're interested in unlocking the cards as quickly as possible, you can find a friend and take turns in Player Matches to unlock cards. You can 'Concede Game' to give your opponent a quick win, but you'll have to remake the lobby again for another game.

[top]Cheats, Glitches, & Exploits

It can be quite difficult to get Last One Standing, since many people have complained of freezing/crashing while loading a 3 or 4 player game.

First, you're going to want to get the single player campaign out of the way, so you can unlock new decks as well as unlock Everything at Stake.

I found using the mono-white Wings of Light deck worked really well against the first 3 campaign duels, then I switched to Eyes of Shadow for the first Sorin Markov duel, then switched back to Wings of Light for the last few leading up to the final battle with Sorin Markov where I used Eyes of Shadow again.

After finishing the solo-campaign, start the Challenges. Luckily, you don't have to complete them in order, so you can skip straight to Challenge 5 and use the strategy explained below to unlock Overflowing Harvest.

Next, simply win a 3 or 4 player match online to unlock Last One Standing and you'll have 100% for the DLC expansion.

It is not required to complete the co-op campaign, the additional challenges, nor unlock the extra cards in order to get all the trophies, but it will increase your card pool, and I just think the game is fun.

Last One Standing
Win a 3- or 4-player match on PlayStation Network

This is fairly self-explanatory - win a 3 or 4 player match. This CANNOT be a Two-Headed Dragon match, it must be 4 (or 3) individual players in a free-for-all battle. If you can arrange a silent truce with another player in the match, this can make the trophy easier to obtain. As always, feel free to check the boosting thread for people interested in hassle-free trophies.

Several people have complained about the online crashing during a 3 or 4 player match. I have personally experienced this, so the difficulty for this is compounded by the inability to initialize a match.

It is not glitched, just buggy and frustrating.

Overflowing Harvest
Put 8 lands onto the battlefield in one turn

This can seem tricky, but the Heart of Worlds Landfall deck has many useful ways to do this. Khalni Heart Expedition and Harrow will be key for pulling this off. Although it is possible to do this in regular gameplay, every card you need is available in Challenge 5 versus Sarkhan Vol. (images in spoiler)

Play Summoner's Pact and snag an Eternal Witness from your library, then play both Harrow in your hand. Make sure you get all the Forests from your library first, and always sacrifice a TAPPED land instead of an untapped one.

After playing each Harrow, your Khalni Heart Expedition enchantment will have 4 counters on it. Next, use Elvish Piper's ability to place Eternal Witness onto the battlefield, which will allow you to reclaim one of your Harrow in the graveyard. Play Harrow and then sacrifice Khalni Heart Expedition - this will place the 7th and 8th lands in play needed to unlock the trophy.

Everything at Stake
Defeat Sorin Markov in the single-player campaign (Expansion 2)

To obtain this trophy, you must fight your way through the campaign in the 2nd Expansion and defeat Sorin Markov.

Sorin Markov uses a very fast Vampire deck that has multiple small creatures with Lifelink. He also enjoys destroying your creatures, so using the Eyes of Shadow deck from the core game should prove quite helpful against him. I personally failed with multiple other decks (that were fully unlocked) and the first time I tried the Black deck, he went down like a little baby. Just try to keep your life total above 10, since many of his creatures get stat bonuses when you drop to 10 or less life.

His creature destruction spells can also cause major problems:
