Major League Baseball 2K9 Trophy Guide

This baseball game is the easiest out of the 2 games (Other is MLB The Show). These are some pretty easy trophies to get, but you are going to have to work hard for them: hitting home runs, RBIs, strikeouts, etc. If you can't hit home runs, get stikeouts, etc. You can adjust the players rating so he can be the best home run hitter ever, or have the best pitcher to strikeout those batters. Also, you can pause while in a game and mess with the whole team in general stats. You can also get all these trophies online with a friend if it's in a RANKED match. Just remember, when you mess with the stats while playing in a game, you won't be able to unlock player's cards. Here is a guide to help you out on all the trophies and a difficulty level. For these trophies, like I said in my opening, you can adjust all the players stats in the game. This means that you can make the teams hitting stats all the way up if you want. You can do this by pausing the game and adjust the whole teams stats, or you can do it in your roster before you play the game. You can just play an exhibition games with the team you changed till you hit all the 100 if you want to. You can also play online with a psn friend in a RANKED match. You do this by both trying to find a quick ranked game and it take more than 2 tries each. Sometimes it will take a few more tries, but it won't be long. And just hit inside the park home runs and you will still get it. You can also get this when you do the player cards because the batter cards have guys who need homeruns to unlock their cards.

If you are having trouble getting 12 or 15 strikeouts in a game, what you can do is push pause and make the other teams batter's hitting stats all the way to nothing and you should be able to get it no problem. Just remember to change your pitches up. Don't keep throwing the same pitches all the time, switch them up. If you are still having trouble with this, you can go online in a ranked game and get them that way. You should be able to get them on your own and get the no hitter the same way.

This one can be a pain. All I can say is follow my advice for the 15 stikeouts trophy. You will play a few times before it will happen. So just keep playing and you will get it. We all know it is very hard to hit a homerun with a pitcher. So just go to your roster in the main menu area and raise Lincecum's hitting stats all the way up. I got lucky and hit a dinger over the center field wall. You should be just fine. Don't forget, the game is made after him so it shouldn't be to hard.

This is really easy to get. Just get a good home run player and win the Home Run Derby. If you have problems winning, adjust the batter's stats you want to use in the derby and you should have no trouble winning.

Win the World Series in Franchise mode (play at least 20 games)

DIFFICULTY: **
Before you start a season make your team's player's stats all to the max so that your team can get all these season trophies. For all the season trophies, you don't have to play the whole season. I've also heard you can play 3 inning games for your 20 games and still get trophies, but you have to change it back to 9 innings so the players can get their home runs, strikeouts, saves, etc. Just play the first 20 games if you want and make a couple saves just incase, also take off the Autosave so it doesn't save if you didn't get them all and simulate to the end of the season until you get all the other season trophies. Just keep simulating over and over until you get them all. It is possible to get them all at the end of the season.

After you get all the trophies, save it once again and simulate through the post season till you are in the World Series and you have 3 wins so you can win the last 4th game to win the World Series. You have to win 4 games out of the 7 in the World Series. And if you messed some trophies from the season and you know that you got all the trophies for sure, the rest will pop up after you win.

This one can be kinda hard to get since there isn't that many people who have it right now. It will get easier when a lot more get it. Just keep playing online in a ranked game until you find someone and try to beat them. Or ask a friend who has it to win real quick in a ranked game. If you don't have a friend who has it, just ask around is all I can say. If you get into a game online and the player has it. Just ask him and he might let you win it. Also there might be a thread on this in the future.

This is going to come naturally as long as you're playing with maxed stats against teams with lowered stats. The commentators will say something if a player needs a certain event to complete the cycle. Next time they're up, try to get what's required.
