Welcome (back) to Omega. Cerberus has moved in and taken over since your last visit, and your favorite blue gangster needs your help in reclaiming her queendom. Aria contacts you with a plan to retake Omega from its would-be conquerors, and your dutifully answer the call. Do you have what it takes to liberate Omega from the claws of tyranny and terror so that it can return to... well, tyranny and terror? There's only one way to find out.

[top]Tips & Strategies

Omega can be a little trickier than the previous two DLCs, especially on the higher difficulties, but nothing ridiculous. Thankfully, as in Mass Effect 2, the assigned squadmates are well-equipped to deal with the enemy types you encounter and so you needn't worry about taking the right powers with you. Focus instead on leveling your temporary squadmates in ways that complement Shepard. Here are some other general tips:

  • Your primary enemies will be Cerberus troops. This includes standard enemy types like Assault Troops, Engineers, Atlases and so on, with the addition of two new enemy types: Rampart mechs and Adjutants. Rampartmechs look like bulkier Loki mechs, and they have armored health so be prepared with fire-based tech attacks. Also try to avoid walking over their bodies if you can help it; otherwise you may suffer a shock. Adjutants use a combo of armor and barrier-based health bars, so again, fire-based tech attacks and warp/warp ammo is the way to go there. These enemies are a little tougher than their compatriots, but they're far from impossible.
  • Level Aria and Nyreen as you see fit, but I'd recommend investing well in Aria's Flare. It is an incredibly powerful attack and useful attack, so don't ignore it. Spec it for damage and recharge rate, but don't worry about its radius - it already has quite a large AoE.
  • Keep your eyes peeled for some new weapon mods and upgrades in the missions and Harrot's Shop, as well as the N7 Valkyrie rifle (early on) and the Chakram launcher (in the mine section, on one of the upper levels). While not necessarily essential to completing the pack due to its brevity, they're all excellent tools to have for the main game, especially on Insanity runs.

[top]Roadmap

Omega is a fairly linear DLC and as such there's not a lot of missable items or branching pathways to look out for. However, just so there's no confusion, here's what a run-through will look like:
  • Meet Aria on the Citadel after receiving her message.
  • Before you rendezvous with her fleet, look at the trophy guide for Meticulous and keep the fetch items in mind. Speak to the Mechanic and the Hacker when you arrive in Aria's bunker.
  • Complete the first mission, activating the terminals and collecting the power inverters as you do so. You will earn the Talon trophy along the way.
  • Speak to Harrot when you return to the bunker again.
  • Continue through the mission path until you enter the water reservoir. Find Aria's couch and unlock the Meticulous trophy.
  • Finish up the missions and unlock the Savior trophy after the final fight in Afterlife.
And that's all there is to it. Players who take their time and explore the new areas may take longer, but all in all expect around four hours to 100%.

There are a handful of side missions/fetch assignments that are tied to Aria's command bunker that serves as your mission hub during the DLC. Complete all of them to unlock this trophy. They are as follows:
  • Omega: Assist the Mechanic
    1. To get this assignment, find the Batarian mechanic working away at a damaged section of Aria's control room within the bunker. He'll mention that the bunker is suffering from power issues and he can't fix it without new components. He then asks you to hunt down some Kehri power inverters for him so he can swap them for the old ones.
    2. After speaking to the leader of the Talons in the Talon Outpost and before going off to fight Cerberus again, sniff around the stack of crates to your left. Immediately to your left will be a Turian Talon giving medical supplies to a Salarian civilian; the inverters will be stashed between the crates and the wall on the inside edge of the stack. Talk to the mechanic when you return to the bunker to complete the assignment.
  • Omega: Assist the Hacker
    1. A hacker will be working at a terminal behind Aria trying to gather intelligence of the current state of the station, but she's having trouble getting past Cerberus firewalls and systems. She asks you to hack any Cerberus terminals you come across on-site, as she's struggling to do it remotely. There are then three terminals you need to activate for this assignment.
    2. The first is right at the start of the first mission. Once you climb the ladder and reach the airlock controls, turn around and you'll see it off to the side next to the elevator controls.
    3. The second is further along in the mission. You'll find yourself passing through a door, down a flight of stairs, and into a room packed with monitors, computers, and Cerberus troops. Dispense with the enemies, and then look for this terminal in the right-hand corner in a lowered area of consoles.
    4. The final one is immediately after that. You'll fight some more Cerberus troops inside a room with a door at the end that requires a bypass. Immediately to the right of that door will be an opening; inside you'll find an injured Talon and the final terminal.
  • Omega: Assist Harrot
    1. Upon returning to the bunker from your first mission, you'll see an Elcor walk past during your conversation with Aria. Find him within the command room for a little reunion with Harrot, the shopkeeper from Mass Effect 2. He'll ask for your help in gaining some favor with Aria by tracking down her couch from Afterlife that General Petrovsky had thrown out.
    2. After the reactor section when you exit the mines, clear out the Cerberus troops in the water treatment facility. Use the dam as a makeshift bridge after the catwalk is destroyed, and cross the channel. Once you reach the other side, you'll see a ladder on your right that drops into the now-drained portion of the channel. Climb down and look beneath the destroyed bridge for what's left of Aria's couch. Tag it and the assignment will be complete. The trophy should now unlock.
