[top]Tips & Strategies

Here are some tips to win some of the tougher battles.

  • At the beginning of every game/turn or whenever you call reinforcements, look to use the button and remove a unit in order to make a formation or wall. This creates a unit or wall while not using any turns. If done in a combo it actually gains you turns.
  • I can't stress defense enough against the tougher opponents. Whenever possible, look to make walls. If an enemy unit is about to attack and you can't make a wall, at least try to make an attack formation in front of their attack formation. While it will most likely be destroyed, a formation takes more damage than an idle unit.
  • Try to make Elite and Champion units as soon as possible. This is one of those tips that might not work for some people and may backfire at times but it worked well for me.
  • Utilize fusions and links as much as possible. Remember that a fused unit uses the lowest attack number of the whole formation so it is a great way to make units attack faster and harder.
  • It's not always best to have one of every base unit. Work with them and see which ones work for you. On every campaign there was at least one base unit I didn't use.
  • While playing as Godric, use the artifact that allows you to call in reinforcements without using a turn. For me it was essentially a cheat button.
  • Make use of your hero move as often as you can as long as it makes sense at the time.

[top]Cheats, Glitches, & Exploits

Boosting is one thing but I don't use or like glitches or exploits so I didn't look for any in this game, nor will I add any to the guide if you find them and would like to share.

[top]Roadmap

Step One: Campaign- 25-30 hours (could be more depending on skill)

Just play through the entire game while doing as many side quests as possible. Just make sure to go back to the campaigns that you have not finished the side quests for (shown in the map screen when loading) and finish them before defeating the final boss. After you have beaten the five campaigns, go back and choose your favorite or your closest to level 10 and walk around getting ambushed until you reach level 10 with your character and level 5 with all of your units. I found the fifth campaign to be the easiest.

Step Two: Misc Trophies- 5-15 minutes

Go to quick game and complete Sir-Links-a-Lot and Fusion Fanatic in the manner shown under their trophy descriptions.

Step Three: Online- 2-3 hours

Follow the boosting steps listed in the trophy guide for the online trophies. To find a boosting partner go to the boosting thread for this game that can be found here. Official Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Boosting Thread

Hero of Might and Magic
Complete all main quest and side quest objectives in all Campaigns

Side quests include any hidden battles (often hinted to by other characters you can interact with or started by interacting with a character with silver swords over their head) and any quests given to you by the bounty hunter in each campaign. You can collect all of the bounty hunter missions at the same time from the bounty hunter by continuing to talk to him after he gives you the first. If any of these battles are against enemies that are too high of a level or who have units that are too high of a level, simply keep playing main quest battles to level up.

You can also walk around a lot and wait for ambushes in order to gain experience but most ambushes are by enemies that are low levels and do not give much experience to you or your units.

Also, the puzzle battles count towards this trophy.

Some people have noted that this might be glitched if you do not complete all side quests before beating the last boss. I played it safe and completed them all before the last boss so I can't confirm or deny this personally.

Unstoppable Army
Reach a Hero level of 10 and max out all units to level 5 in any Campaign

You will not be able to get this trophy just by playing the story quests in any campaign. After or during the campaign of your choosing you will need to walk around between spaces and wait to get ambushed. When one unit gets to level 5 make sure to switch it out for one that has not because only units that are in the actual battle will level up.

Legend of Battles
Reach Level 10 in online multiplayer mode

While this trophy does not require boosting, it will go MUCH faster if you do boost because not only will the games be quicker but you can gain extra XP if you win matches in a row. The loser will also gain XP as well.

Find a friend in the boosting thread for this game (Found Here) and go for it. Just invite each other and while the winner sets up attack units, the other player should just clear their field with and then just skip turns. After one of you reaches level 10, just switch places.

As I said before, winning battles in a row gives you an XP boost so don't switch the winner back and forth. Wait till one reaches 10 before switching.

Complete all Battle Puzzles in each Campaign

These battle puzzles can be very tricky. The characters who give you them have a blue puzzle symbol over their head. Below are videos to help you solve them if you are stuck. I would give them a try yourself first though.

Bounty Hunter
Complete all bounty side quests

You will find the bounty hunter in 4 of the 5 campaigns. He will be a cloaked figure with a side quest icon above him. When you speak to him about all of the bounties (you can collect them all at the same time by continuing to talk to him) they will show up as money bag icons. Here is a guide to all of them. I have listed their levels and unit types but to find their location simply look at your map. IF they are in a different area they will show up down that path.

Treasure Hunter
Collect all artifacts of each campaign

Artifacts are found by either completing puzzle, bounty, and other side quests or grabbing them out of chests. If you are going for 100%, you will get all of the artifacts when you complete all of the side missions as long as you explore the whole map to get the ones that are in chests as well. Artifacts can be used to boost the abilities of your character or your units.

If there are any that require anything beyond side quests please PM me and I will promptly fix this.

Collect 'em all!
Unlock all special units

Special units can either be Champion or Elite units. In order to unlock them you must defeat a difficult enemy that is guarding a cave or other area that only has one entrance. Below is a guide of where to find them

Sylvan campaign:
Unicorn - Near the Druid Tree, there is a side path being guarded by an elf. When you defeat him, you can enter the cave the and Unicorn can be found inside.

Haven campaign:
Sword Master - In the area eastward the coliseum, with the Angel dwelling, you will see a blue swordmen in front a fountain. When you kill him, you the fountain will lift to reveal a cave with Sword Master units inside.

Necropolis campaign:
Wraith - After you go through the skeleton of a dragon, you will find an enemy at the bottom right corner of the next area, protecting the entrance of a cave. Beat him to gain access to the Wraith units in the cave.

Inferno campaign:
Sorcerer - When you get to Mount Nebyrzias above the Screaming Hag Inn, you should find an enemy guarding a cave in the top right corner. Beat him to gain access of the cave and the Sorcerer units inside.

Academy campaign:
Phoenix - When you go up the linear path, you will come to a guy behind bars with an enemy standing in front of him. Engage and defeat that guy to free the man behind bars who will give you the Phoenix. This guy guarding him is a very strong mage so be prepared.

Win a battle in 2 vs. 2 online COOP mode
