[top]Tips & Strategies

This game is a lot different than most FPS games. So I listed a few major differences below-
  • Health- This game is very strange in it's health system. If you are shot and take damage, then you cannot regain the lost health until you respawn. There are no healthpacks, and no red screens. So it's imperative to buy Armor in the class menu.

  • Weapons- Before you spawn, you get a certain amount of money to spend on guns and equipment. Now, the base amount is $2400. But, if you get on a kill streak, you can get more money to spend the next time you spawn.

How To Get XP Fighting Bots- To do this, you must first search for a game type under "Play Online". Make it obscure, and if you find that no matches exist, create one. Then set up a game type under "Play Online". It should have a 30,000 score limit, a 30:00 time clock, it should be either a game of Domination, or Team Deathmatch. Now it should set up a game with those setting and bot opponents. You can earn XP off of them, but they are still easier to fight. Take note that if another player searches for the same settings, they will join your match. Shouldn't be too big a problem, you can get a lot of XP doing this.

Ultimate Sniping Spot-

I made this just for you guys. Rate it and favorite it.

1- Play online for a bit, to get your bearings and also unlock new weapons. Try to reach Level 10.

2- Now begin working toward the skill and kill trophies, either online or offline. Now, offline is easier, but getting XP Online is more beneficial later.

3- Now, once those have been cleared up, work your way to Supreme Commander . If you've been playing online up to this point, then you should be close. If you've been playing offline, then you have a long road ahead of you.

Reach Level 7.

This will come with time. Now, level 7 is pretty easy to reach. If you need more help, refer to Supreme Commander .

Seargent Major of the Army
Reach Level 40.

This will come with time. Now, level 40 is pretty tough to reach. If you need more help, refer to Supreme Commander .

Master Of Mass Destruction
Win one match in each game type in every map.

Remember that "Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic" trophy in Grand Theft Auto 4? Well this is it's devilish little brother But fear not, it's do able and doesn't require boosting. Now, there are 5 maps with 4 game modes a piece, so that's only 20 matches. So it goes something like this-

  • Map Specific: Boom And Bust
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Deathmatch
  • Domination

  • Map Specific: Escorting
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Deathmatch
  • Domination

  • Map Specific: Extraction
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Deathmatch
  • Domination

  • Map Specific: Boom And Bust
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Deathmatch
  • Domination

  • Map Specific: Escorting
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Deathmatch
  • Domination

Now if I'm right, that's only 20 games. These can be done online and off, and it's really not too hard, especially if there are good players on your team. I have heard rumors of this trophy being glitched, though.

Raining Shrapnel
Kill 4 enemies with a frag grenade shot with the grenade launcher.

This requires a lot of work. First, you need to unlock the Grenade Launcher. It unlocks at Level 23, and can be equipped to the M106 and the AK-47. It costs $3000 and you'll need another $300 for each grenade, and I recommend you have 2. So, the total cost is $6600. Did someone say boost? Yeah, that's the way to go. Just get in a match with 4-5 friends, kill them until you get $6600+ (that's about 7 kills) then, get them in a group, and fire the grenade on them.

If you want to do this without teamwork, then start a match of Domination. Then destroy the AI until you reach the magic number of dollars, and camp at a territory. They tend to run in packs, so wait for 4 or more of them to capture one area. Then hit them with the good stuff

Billy The Kid
Make 100 head shots (any game types).

There really is no clear strategy for this, but it's as simple as can be. Just get 100 headshots. You could try this while going for the sniper rifle trophy, since headshots and sniper rifles go hand in hand

Also, at the end of a match, there is a section in the stat breakdown that shows you your headshots.

Alexander The Great
Capture a total of 100 areas in Domination.

This trophy could happen naturally, but it's much easier to do it in a private party. The strategy here is to have either a 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2 match, in which everyone splits into pairs, one member from the Special Forces and one member of the Mercenaries. Now, just find a territory, and take turns capturing it. I estimate this will happen after an hour of this.

If not, just begin a Domination match offline. I got about 10 captures every 10 minutes.

Welcome To The Family
Win a match (any game types).

By far the easiest trophy in the game! I did this in my first match, and it's bound to happen along the course of the game. Unless you just completly suck, you'll get it in the first 5 matches.

The Ghost Avenger
Take over a CPU and kill your assassin 10 times (Offline Only) .

This can be done on any match in which you can't respawn, and only on an offline game. When you get killed (It happens to the best of us!) just hit and you take over the CPU you are spectating with. Now, you actually have to kill the enemy that killed your character. So, follow your teammates as they tend to run in packs. Stay in front of the others and you'll get shot first. Then quickly take over a teammate near you and get some payback!

Insane Sharpshooter
Eliminate 300 enemies only with sniper rifles (any game types).

Unlock- Now this sounds quick and simple, no? Well it's not! It's very time consuming and complicated. Now, the immediate issue is that before you can get kills with a Sniper Rifle, you have to have one. Duh. So, you have to get to at least level 2 in Online Play to unlock the Scout Tactical sniper rifle.

Purchase- Want another big problem? Well neither do I , but here it is- The Scout Tactical starts at a price of $4200. You start the match with $2400. Now, assuming you play on a respawn game type (which, quite frankly, is the best way to do this) you will need to rack up a 5 kill streak to afford this gun. But, you should aim for a 7 streak, so you can get armor and other equipment.

Use- The good thing about the Scout Tactical is that it's virtually perfect. It kills enemies in 2 shots (1 for a headshot or if they have no armor) and it has no recoil and it doesn't shake in your hands. Your aim is always steady. Now, you have to find a good sniping spot. I have a video for the ultimate sniping spot, so I'll post it here once it is hosted.

Heavy Counter
Perform a multi-kill with a grenade 3 times (any game types).

For this I believe you have to kill 3 enemies at once with a grenade. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's 3. Now there is the obvious method of a 4 player deathmatch, just line up your buddies in a circle and pull the pin. Unfortunately, you can only have 2 grenades at a time. But it is also quite possible to get this in a big team game of Domination, when there are multiple enemies on a territory.

Legendary Gunslinger
Perform at least one killing spree on all maps.

In order to get a killing spree, you must get 5 kills in a row, with no deaths. This is tricky because you don't regain health while not fighting. This trophy is best done on Team Deathmatch. But none the less it's easy against AI opponents, and much easier if you stay in a highly trafficked area. Also, take note that for the fifth kill and beyond, you earn an additional $300 as well as bonus XP.

Team Savior
As the Team Leader, escape 10 times.

There are 2 maps in which you can do this. The first map is Souks, and you must play as the Mercenaries. The second is on Headquarters, but you have to play as the Special Forces. I prefer Headquarters.

Now, it's completely up to chance on weather or not you are the leader in an online match, so I recommend doing this offline, as if you are on the correct team, you are always the leader. Also, it's very hard to get killed as you automatically have 200 Health and 200 Armor. Sweet. So you should stick with a few members of the team, they run in packs. The enemy AI is gunning for you, so it's nice to have some back up (or give them another target to shoot at ) Just follow them to the exit, or wait for them to get killed and run for it.

Ultimate Team Player
Get 500 kill assists (any game types) .

For the most part, the health system is a royal ass itch. But it comes in handy here! Even if you do only a little damage to an enemy, they never shake it off. So you can damage an enemy, then 2 minutes later a message will move across the screen saying you got a kill assist. Now getting 500 of these is pretty tough, but you can get it with a little persistence, and a lot of bullets.

One method is to just shoot an enemy once or twice, then run away and wait for a teammate to finish him. This seems pretty effective, as long as you don't mind your Kill Death Ratio going down the crapper.

Stop Poking Me!
Successfully knife 50 enemies (any game types).

Now, this isn't too hard, as I'm sure everyone has knifed an enemy at some point in an FPS. To start with, equip all the armor you can, and stick with just a pistol. Then run like hell, and flank your enemies. If your up against AI, then just run behind them as they cannot sprint. If your against other people, then try and knife snipers and enemies that you bump into inside buildings and rounding corners.

I'm not the best player, and I got about 15 melee kills in a 15 minute offline Team Deathmatch. I would say this is easier in a Deathmatch.

War Veteran
Eliminate 100 enemies (any game types) .

Well this is pretty easy. Just simply kill 100 people. It's best done in a respawning game, of course. Most of this is up to personal preference. As a bench mark, I usually get about 20-25 kills in a 15:00 match. But then again, I'm not really that good

Death Bringer
Eliminate 1000 enemies (any game types) .

Well this is a bit tougher than War Veteran . Just kill 1000 people. It's best done in a respawning game, of course. Most of this is up to personal preference. As a bench mark, I usually get about 20-25 kills in a 15:00 match. But then again, I'm not really that good

Also, check out the video in the Tips section for more help.

Capture a total of 150 territories in Domination .

Same exact plan as Alexander The Great . I estimate this will happen after an hour and a half of boosting this.

Headshot an objective carrier 10 times.

An Objective Carrier appears only on 2 game types. Boom And Bust, and Extracting. Now, this is easier to do on Boom And Bust. The trick here is to cover the area in which the bomb is to be planted, and wait for someone to begin planting it. Now, the real convenient thing about this is that while the Carrier is planting the bomb, he's totally helpless and are still considered an Objective Carrier. So just walk up to them and perform a perfect headshot, and soon you'll have this trophy.

Hope Buster
Defuse a bomb or deactivate a missile 10 times.

This can be done only on Boom And Bust. Now, you should focus on covering the bomb site. When you see someone planting the bomb, wait for them to finish doing so and immediately kill them. Then defuse the bomb/deactivate the missile. This is much easier in a private match.

Take note that respawning is disabled on this mode, so if you're playing offline, you have the option of taking over a teammate and still deactivating the bomb. I don't know if this counts or not, but if someone knows, please PM me and I'll add it to the guide.

Supreme Commander
Reach level 72.

Now, the journey toward this trophy begins with a question. Do you want to spend this much time on a silver trophy? If you do, then I'll tell you how to do it. If you don't, I don't blame you.

Alright, straight up this is going to take a lot of work. A lot. Level 72 is the top level, I think. I'm going to tell you my favorite match-

Type: Domination
Map: Headquarters
Time Limit: 30:00
Score Limit: 45,000
Team: Special Forces
Size: 8 vs. 8

My best score on this setting was 75 kills and 16 deaths. (Yeah, I'm good).

If you play on a respawn game mode, then you will probably get more kills and a smaller bonus. But, on a non-respawn game, you will get less kills and a bonus at the end of each round, if your team wins the round. The choice is yours. Below I have posted point totals for each score you can get for kills and assists-
  • Kill (500)
  • Double Kill (100)
  • Multi-Kill (100)
  • Melle Kill (250)
  • Headshot (200)
  • Killing Spree (300)
  • Kill Assist (100)
  • Good Kill Assist (200)
  • Great Kill Assist (300)
  • Critical Kill Assist (400)
