[top]Tips & Strategies

Notes :
Numblast is an arcade type game, much like Tetris or Bejeweled, except instead of matching shapes or colors, you have to match numbers.

This is a pretty difficult game to get 100% on, all though 85% or 13(12x, 1x) of the 15 of the trophies are very easy and can be obtained in about 2-3 hours.

The puzzles are fun and challenging and i sincerely suggest you struggle with them a bit before just getting the answers from the videos I added. With a bit of practice and patience you should be able to do them all in about an hour or two.

Ultimately if you enjoy puzzles and numbers this is definitely worth a try.

As a lot of the trophies are obtained using the same principle I am going to lay out a couple of tips here :
  • Numblast consists of 5 kind of blocks : Green 1, Yellow 2, Purple 3, Blue 4 and the white star block. You have to match squares of 2x2, 2x3, 3x2, 3x3, etc. When a square is matched it changes color to red and increases in number (1 turns into 2, 2 turns into 3, 3 turns into 4 and 4 turns into 1 again).
  • When you are building a combo and have a choice between a colored block and one that has already turned black, try to use tha black one first. This will keep you going longer.
  • The easiest way to obtain score or higher levels is to build big chain combos by lining up numbers and getting numblasts. A numblast is when you clear out the entire board in one combo.
  • The white star square is like a joker and can be used with any number block to clear all the blocks with the corresponding number off the board. It really comes in handy when you are running out of colored blocks on the board. It can be used with more than 1 number as long as the group is in direct contact with the start square.
  • Remember, practice makes perfect. If you don't get the hang of this immediately, keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Mr Caterpillar
1 or more Numblasts in Time Trial

This can be a frustrating trophy to get, as it is based on skill, speed and luck. Make sure you have got the right blocks to obtain a numblast in one go. If you don't, just make a small combo to replace a couple of blocks on the board and try again. You'll eventually get it.
