[top]Introduction

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is a puzzle based game similar to the mix-and-match styles of Bejeweled and other Puzzle Quest games. In this game, the player takes control of a pilot just out of training working their way up to take down a corrupted galactic corporation. There are two different tile types in the game: the standard colored tiles (relating to the player's color specific ship gauges) and the attack tiles (you match them up to add to the attack damage dealt). The trophies for Puzzle Quest: Galactrix are fairly straightforward, but that doesn't mean they're a walk in the park.

[top]Trophies

[top]
Soul Gatherer
You have captured a Soulless and discovered their true nature.

You can not miss this trophy as it is story related. You will first get this quest at Elea VII. Go through the quest line until you are brought back to Elysia Port. Head for New Ethiopia in the Polaris system you'll fight a mysterious vessel. You will gather the soulless after beating this monster.

Illumination
You have defeated the Luminary Archive.

You can not miss this trophy as it is story related. This quest begins on Icarus Alpha. As you scan the planet you will face the Luminary Archive boss. Defeat it and you earn this trophy.

Gamma's Downfall
You have defeated the Gamma Sphere.

You can not miss this trophy as it is story related, and the final boss. There are several tactics to beating him. This video should provide a useful means in preparing for your final encounter:

[top]
Ace Pilot
You have reached level 50.

You will need 13,230 Intel to achieve this tough trophy. You level up with every battle you take on as well as every sub-quest you do. It is possible to be at level 50 by the end of game, but you must really put forth the effort into leveling yourself instead of just taking on the main quest.

[top]
Eight Of The Lost
You have unlocked all Psi Powers.

To do this you will need to unlock the 'Hackerz' side-quest at Ceti VI. Follow through the quest as it leads you across the map in this order: Atila Sigma, Pleione Rho, Perseus Sigma, Leo Epsilon, Lacerta Omega, Procyon Epsilon, Musca Epsilon, and finally Typhon Rho. You will get this trophy (as well as many useful abilities) at the end of the final encounter on Typhon Rho.

FTL Travel
You have hacked a LeapGate.

This will most likely be the very first trophy you get. Follow the on screen instructions on hacking LeapGates and you will get this after your very first hack puzzle.
Here is an example of hacking:

[top]
Master Hacker
You have hacked 30 LeapGates.

Going after the Eight Of The Lost trophy will greatly aid you in completing thirty hack puzzles. Otherwise just try and do as many possible quests and hack every LeapGate you come across. It's not hard to obtain this before the end of the game.

[top]
Rock Star
You have successfully mined 10 asteroids.

Complete ten mining mini-games by fully mining each of the 3 resources on any of the asteroids without getting a Black Hole ending. Do as many as you can near the start of the game to make earning this trophy much easier. Remember you can mine a single asteroid whenever you wish so long as you have attempted at least three others before trying it again.
Here is an example video on mining:

Smooth Talker
You have completed the Haggling minigame with 6 Gems or less on the board.

Once you get Pezts you can access the haggling mini game whenever you are in a shop. To get this trophy you must end a minigame with no more the six gems still left on the board. This may take a few tries but with a little practice should not be all that difficult. Try to group gems in fours and fives as best you can.
Here is an example of haggling:

Data Acquisition
You have unlocked a rumor.

You will be able to get this sometime after Soul Gatherer. When you take the Soulless to the priests, they'll give you the "Rites of Passage" quest. It will take you to the planet New Aztekia and as soon as you arrive you will start a 'rumor' minigame. Complete it for this fairly easy trophy.
Here is an example of how to play the rumor minigame:

Fighter Pilot
You have won 5 ranked PlayStationŽNetwork matches.

See Space-Time Anomaly.

[top]
Space-Time Anomaly
You have won 50 ranked PlayStationŽNetwork matches.

With a boosting partner this is a fairly if not ridiculously easy trophy to obtain, as apparently having your opponent just quit the game counts as a victory. Just as the description says you must connect online and find players to beat online. Win fifty of them for this trophy as well as the Fighter Pilot trophy. Boosting is recommended if only for the lack of users online to pulverize!
