[top]Tips & Strategies

Introduction:

Set in an array of galaxies, Puzzlegeddon™ features a clever mix of puzzle, action and strategy in a game that is fast-paced and addictive. Compete for the top spot on the planet by creating multiple combos for the quickest way to gather enough resources to blast your enemies out of this world! You can battle up to five players in a variety of galaxies in this stylish and quirky puzzle brawler.

Tips:

  1. Before I get into any of the individual trophy stateliness I am going to list a couple tips that will help you quite a bit with the actual gameplay itself.
  2. Always, and I mean always, try and get your defense or the green bar full first because reflect (level 3 defense) will save you especially when trying to get your 50 hard bot kills. I can't remember how many times it has saved me.
  3. Before you launch any attack at the beginning of a match make sure all your powers are atleast level 2 or 3, except defense which you want at level 3.
  4. This game will seem real weird at first so I recommend doing both the tutorials to gather an understanding of how the gameplay works. It will help you greatly when trying to learn how to play the game.

**Please note that all trophies except Puritan, Meet Your Maker, and Too Cool For School can be easily boosted. Since there is absolutely no one playing online, if you create a ranked game and your friend goes to search ranked custom matches then your game should be the only one there.**

Hard To Crack
Finish first in a round of Battle Royale with the shield still intact

Okay, so this trophy is not hard at all. Basically it requires you to finish 1 round of a battle royal in first place with your shield still up. If you played the tutorials the bot Ralph would have explained the different game modes and the rules of each. So the easiest way to get this is to set a battle royal with the following settings:

Bots: 1(easy)
Rounds: doesn't matter because you can quit after trophy
Resources: more
Critical Attacks: more frequent
Combos: normal
Attacks: regular attacks do more damage
Health: regular
Handicap: No

These settings are not necessary but they will make the trophy a lot quicker. However, if you are boosting then I recommend you do this and Brawny at the same time to save yourself some time. If you are facing an easy bot then just play defensive but don't be afraid to fire attacks and this trophy will be a breeze.

[top]
Too Cool For School
Give Ralph a big owie

You will get this after you finish the second tutorial. It is the easiest trophy in the game. Ralph is easier to defeat than any easy bot so you shouldn't have any trouble at all defeating him as long as you know what your doing. If you beat the first tutorial then you will have absolutely no problems beating the second tutorial.

[top]
King Of Comedy
Respawn into a missile and die

This trophy can be a real pain when playing against bots and theirs really no tips except play hard bots because they will fire quite a bit of attacks at you, most of which being monster attacks. But however, if going to boost it then here's what you do. First create the game and make sure you have the following settings:

Deathmatch
Time: doesn't matter but i would recommend 10 or 15 minutes
Players: 2 (you and a friend)
Resources: more
Critical Attacks: more frequent
Combos: normal
Attacks: Critical attacks clear a whole health bar (very important don't forget it)
Health: decreases over time
Handicap: No

Okay, so you will have to do this twice to ensure both you and a partner have it so immediately after you get it leave and create a new game. A mic is not required but it will help quite a bit. Okay, so have your partner select the tree island, your island doesn't matter but make sure his is the tree. When the match starts build a monster attack (level 3 red) and wait until your health has decreased to the lowest point that it can. Your friend should have a monster attack, reflect defense (level 3 green), and missile boost (level 2 blue). Once you both have done that then have your friend fire the monster attack and use missile boost slightly increase the damage. Right before his missile hits you fire at him and then you will die. When you die make sure you finish the dead puzzler challenge ASAP to respawn. Once your missile that you fired at your friend reaches him have him deflect it and since hes the tree it will turn into a critical. If you finished the dead puzzler challenge fast enough you should respawn before the deflected missile hits you. Now that its a critical and critical attacks drain a full bar you will die as soon as it hits you and, bling, trophy unlocked. Switch roles and repeat and there you both have it.

[top]
Brawny
Finish first in a complete Multiplayer match of at least 3 rounds of Battle

Royale.

I would recommend you boost this and Hard To Crack with a buddy at the same time because there is no one playing the online at all. Just create a match of Battle royal with 3 rounds, the rest of the settings don't matter, and win for all 3 rounds. Repeat having your buddy win the next game and there you both have it.

Geddowned!
Use a Wormhole Disrupt to block a foe’s Monster Attack within a second of it launching at you

This trophy can be a real pain without boosting. If your not going to boost then I recommend you try doing it while going for Meet Your Maker because hard bots fire a lot more monster attacks than any other bot.

If your going to boost then here is what you do. Before you even attempt to boost this you need a mic, I'm not even sure it is possible without a mic. I would recommend the following settings:

Battle Royal
Rounds: Doesn't matter
Players: 2 (you and a friend)
Resources: more
Critical Attacks: normal
Combos: normal
Attacks: normal
Health: increases over time (in case you get hit your health will replenish)
Handicap: No

Basically you want to get the wormhole (level 3 yellow) while your friend gets his monster attack. When you both have it the person with the wormhole counts down from 3 on the mic and the the wormhole and missile should be activated at the same time. This may take a couple tries due to mic lag but it will work eventually. Once you have it then switch roles and both of you can get it in the same game.

[top]
Wait For It
Use a Missile Boost on an attack less than one second before it’s hit by an Anti-Missile

I would recommend you do this against Ralph in the second tutorial while going for Too Cool For School to save more time. It can be boosted but you can save more time against Ralph since he uses a few anti-missiles. All your going to do is build your missile boost (level 2 blue) and afterward just focus on getting normal attacks (level 1 red). Ralph will eventually launch an anti-missile but make sure you are aware because you don't have much time to activate the missile boost. Just make sure that the anti-missile is relatively close to your missile before you boost and you will get it. It can also be done the same way with an easy bot or boosting with a buddy, just make sure your buddy has an anti-missile (level 1 green) before you fire.

[top]
Try Anything Twice
Reflect the same missile twice

This one is not as hard as you would think. It can be boosted or done with a bot. Just make a game with the following settings:

Battle Royal (unlimited time)
Rounds: 2
Players: 2 (you and a friend if boosting)
or
Bots: 1 hard (if using bots)
Resources: more (important, very hard without more resources)
Critical Attacks: less frequent
Combos: normal
Attacks: less damage
Health: increases over time (in case you get hit your health will replenish giving you unlimited time)
Handicap: No

So all you have to do is get a reflect (level 3 green) and make sure that after you do it there are quite a bit of green squares ready to be harvested before you use reflect. If using a hard bot just wait for him to fire an attack at you then reflect it and immediately after build up your green bar like no tomorrow. 90% of the time the hard bot will reflect it right back at you and if you are quick enough you should have the green at level 3 before it hits you. If you are boosting use the same method and if your lucky both of you can get it off the same missile.

Duelist
Defeat a total of 100 foes in Multiplayer

One thing to keep in mind before you start any of the following kill count trophies is that YOU MUST FINISH THE GAME FOR KILLS TO COUNT AND MULTIPLAYER MUST BE RANKED MATCHES.

All I can say is if your not going to boost you wont get this because absolutely no one plays online in this game. I would recommend you do this and Even-Steven at the same time and save them as your last trophies. This is because you would have rounded up between 10-20 multiplayer kills by the time you finish boosting all the others. What your going to do here is create games with the following settings:

Deathmatch
Time: i would recommend 10 or 15 minutes (reason is in case you disconnect you don't lose 60 minutes of work, only 10 or 15 max)
Players: 2 (you and a friend)
Resources: more
Critical Attacks: more frequent
Combos: normal
Attacks: normal attacks do more damage
Health: decreases over time
Handicap: No

So what you are going to do is have you and your partner both build up monster attacks and wait until both of your health bars are relatively low. Once you have done that then one of you is going to launch a missile and shortly after the other fires his/her missile so that he gets a multiplayer kill and a kill after death. Rinse and repeat until the game is over then switch positions (1st game you get kills after death, 2nd your partner does and so forth).

**Note make sure neither of you use the robot factory because they gain health after they get a kill.**

[top]
Meet Your Maker
Defeat a total of 50 Hard Bots when playing as the Robot Factory

Hard bots are... well, hard. Remember you must use the Robot Factory or else the kills won't count for the trophy. Settings don't really matter its what ever you prefer for this trophy. I would recommend you put more than 1 hard bot in the game though so they are not always focused on you. Really there isn't much else to say, you just have to get used to the gameplay and get faster at building your powers.

**Note you must finish the match for the kills to count like mentioned above**

[top]
Even-Steven
Defeat a total of 50 opponents after you have been killed

Refer to Duelist

[top]
Rest In Pieces
Accumulate 150 Dead Puzzler’s points ten times, in Multiplayer Battle Royales

This is another trophy that is impossible without boosting. If your going to boost then here's what you have to do. First off make a game with the following settings:

Battle Royal
Rounds: 2
Players: 3 (you and 2 friends are required for this one)
Resources: more
Critical Attacks: more frequent
Combos: normal
Attacks: normal attacks do more damage
Health: decreases over time
Handicap: No

So after the game has been made have your friends join. After the game starts who ever is going for the 150 points has to die first. Once that person is dead he has unlimited time to do as many dead puzzler challenges and get those 150 points as long as the other 2 just sit there and do nothing until he has it. Once he has it have one of the other 2 people kill the other to end the round. ALL ROUNDS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR THE POINTS TO COUNT. So for the remaining round(s) have someone in the group get the 2 kills doesn't matter who. Keep repeating this until all of you have the trophy which will take 30 games, yes it is a grind and in fact its the trophy that will take the longest.

[top]
Puritan
Clear the final level of Poison Peril

This trophy is hard. It requires you to beat all 80 levels of Poison Peril which will not only take you 1 and a half to 2 hours but as you get to the higher levels like around 40 the challenges begin to get hard. The levels aren't long since you only have to beat 1 dead puzzler challenge to move up a level but here's the catch; there are poison squares that, if they are included in your combo, decrease your total amount of potential combos per level. You start off with 10 combos per level and depending on how many poisons squares you get it decreases by 1 every poison square. YOU NEED AT LEAST 8 OR MORE COMBOS PER LEVEL OR YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE THE LATER LEVELS. So if your say at level 40 and have 6 combos per level i would recommend you restart because it will be even more frustrating spending another 30 minutes to an hour to get to around 70 - 80 and die. The good thing is that you have quite a bit of time per level so use it wisely and what ever you DO NOT RUSH. Take your time and you will get through it.
