[top]Tips and Strategies

Duplication
Thanks to a glitch in the online match-making system, it's entirely possible to clone another player's inventory. For the purpose of example, the player receiving the items will be referred to as Player 1; the player who's inventory is being duplicated will be referred to as Player 2.

Preparation:
If you've never played the game before, start by having Player 2 create an online game on Amateur, starting at Chapter 1-1, and then invite Player 1. Complete the chapter and unlock Chapter 1-2. Both players then exit and save progress.

Player 1 must have a second controller.

Method:
  1. Player 2 clears out their inventory, then fills all 9 slots with the items to be duplicated (can be Weapons, Armor, Health items, Ammo, Eggs), while Player 1 simply empties their inventory.
  2. Player 1 hosts a game on Amateur, Chapter 1-2, and invites Player 2.
  3. When the game begins, and each player's system finishes saving, Player 1 must pause their game, scroll down to, and select, End Co-op Play, and confirm.
  4. As soon as Player 2 has been kicked, Player 1 must press on their second controller. This will change the game to split-screen co-op, and take you to the Item Management screen. Choose Ready for both players.
  5. After a short loading screen, the Item Management screen will pop up a second time. Choose Organize. The Second Controller will now have all of the same weapons that Player 2 entered the game with.
  6. Using the Second Controller, go through the inventory and choose to Remove all 9 weapons, thus placing them in Player 1's Weapon Bank.
  7. Once the Second Controller's inventory has been emptied, leave the Organize screen and select Ready.
  8. When you're back in the game, pause and choose to quit, making sure to save your inventory (you will be asked to do this).
  9. Repeat the process until every weapon has been duplicated (see Stockpile for a complete list of all required weapons).

Note: The Gatling Gun and the Longbow are only able to be used by Chris and Sheva, respectively. If you're playing as Sheva, for example, you cannot even hold the Gatling Gun in your inventory. To duplicate these two weapons, you will need Player 2 to use both characters.

If you're having trouble following these steps, refer to the following video:

S-Ranks
Your completion rank is based on 4 factors: Kills, Deaths, Accuracy, and Time. When you complete a chapter, you will be graded in each of these categories (C, B, A, and S). These 4 grades will then be averaged to give you an overall rank. To unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher, as well as one of the Figurines, you'll need to achieve an S-rank in every single Chapter.

Getting an S-Rank on certain chapters may prove problematic, so here are some tips:

Chapter 2-3:
Do this one solo. The first part is fairly easy, but the boss fight at the end with the giant (Ndesu) is a pain in the ass with 2 players, because you both have to hit button prompts with lightning speed, and unless you both have amazing reflexes and god-tier internet connections, you will more often than not fail to hit them on time. Playing solo will eliminate this problem entirely.

Chapter 6-2:
This is the shortest chapter in the game, so you won't have any trouble with getting a good time, and as long as you don't mess up the QTE section, you probably won't have any deaths. The part that will get you, however, will be your kills, especially if you're running through using the Infinite Rocket Launcher. A normal run will net you something like 5 kills in total, when you need at least 20 for an S-rank. The trick is to farm the boss at the end. When you're fighting it, the main boss squirts out a whole bunch of these black blob things. Blowing them up counts as kills, so allow a bunch to spawn before you finish off the main boss.

[top]Roadmap

There are two paths to platinum, though which you can take depends on the resources available to you.

Solo-method
Step 1 - Veteran Playthrough:
Beat the game on Veteran difficulty; learn the levels; familiarize yourself with the controls; and collect as many resources (weapons, ammo, treasures) as you can find (use the collectible guides if need be). Completing this playthrough will unlock Professional difficulty.

Step 2 - Amateur Speed-run:
Now that you have weapons (possibly some upgraded), and hopefully a stash of ammo and health items, start your Amateur speed-run. Your aim here is to complete the playthrough in under 5 hours in order to unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher. Don't worry about collecting anything, or trying to kill every enemy - just race through levels and only kill what you have to. To make your life easier, bring along at least 1 weapon with infinite ammo - my preference is for the S&W M29 (aka The Broken Butterfly). For reference, I'll provide my completion times for each chapter to give you something to compare your own times to, so you'll know which chapters you can improve in.

Note: times achieved using the Infinite Rocket Launcher.

Chapter 1-1: 9 min, 57 seconds Chapter 1-2: 7 min, 54 seconds Chapter 2-1: 12 min, 14 seconds Chapter 2-2: 11 min, 55 seconds
Chapter 2-3: 6 min, 20 seconds Chapter 3-1: 10 min, 45 seconds Chapter 3-2: 13 min, 59 seconds Chapter 3-3: 6 min, 53 seconds
Chapter 4-1: 13 min, 46 seconds Chapter 4-2: 10 min, 24 seconds Chapter 5-1: 4 min, 40 seconds Chapter 5-2: 12 min, 19 seconds
Chapter 5-3: 15 min, 26 seconds Chapter 6-1: 11 min, 5 seconds Chapter 6-2: 3 min, 13 seconds Chapter 6-3: 10 min

Total Time: 2 hours, 40 minutes, 58 seconds

Step 3 - Professional Playthrough
With the Infinite Rocket Launcher unlocked, it's time to blast your way through the hardest difficulty. You can also use it to achieve some other missable trophies, such as Bad Blood .

Step 4 - Clean-up
With your three main playthroughs done, all that should remain are a handful of miscellaneous trophies, and probably your weapon upgrades. You'll need to farm a lot of money, so expect to be doing this for a few hours.

Alternate Method
If you want to simply smash out the platinum as quickly as possible, this is the method for you. In addition to a second controller, it requires another player who has the following:
  • All weapons, fully upgraded
  • Infinite Rocket Launcher/Other weapons (based on preference)
  • A completed Professional playthrough
  • A stash of ammo

Step 1 - Duplication
The first thing to focus on is getting every weapon with upgrades. To do this, you're going to abuse a glitch in the online match-making system. See the Tips & Strategies section for more info on duplicating.

With all the weapons in your inventory, neither Stockpile or Take It to the Max will unlock. To fix this, sell the upgraded M92F pistol, then re-purchase it from the store and upgrade it. The game will then recognize that you have a maxed-out inventory, and both trophies should unlock. If they don't, repeat the process with a different weapon.

Step 2 - Speed-run and Collectibles
With all weapons and items duplicated, have Player 2 run Player 1 through the game in under 5 hours on Professional difficulty (or Veteran, if you're not feeling confident). This will unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher for Player 1, as well as all story and difficulty-related trophies. If you want to save time, you can also look for all collectibles. Have Player 1 focus on treasures, and Player 2 focus on BSAA Symbols (that way, each player is referring to only 1 guide). With this step completed, Player 2 is no longer required.

Step 3 - Clean-up
All that should remain are a Kill-related trophies, and some miscellaneous ones. Clean those up to earn yourself a shiny new platinum.

Egg Hunt
Find all 4 types of eggs.

There are four types of eggs: White, Brown, Gold, and Rotten.
To earn this trophy, you must have all four types in your inventory at the same time.

To farm eggs, load up Chapter 3-1, then drive your boat over to Chicken Island (highlighted on the map below) - located in the center of the Marshlands (it's the island without any slate pieces). There you'll find dozens of chickens running around. Stand on the jetty, then put down your controller and go do something else for 15 minutes. When you get back, the chickens will have laid a few eggs which you can collect. Repeat as necessary.

All Dressed Up
Purchase all available alternative costumes in Bonus Features.

To earn this trophy, you must both unlock and buy all 4 character costumes.

Chris' Safari and Sheva's Clubbin' costumes are unlocked after completing the game on any difficulty; Chris' S.T.A.R.S. costume is unlocked after collecting 25/30 BSAA Emblems; and Sheva's Tribal costume is unlocked after collecting 30/30 BSAA Emblems.

Once a costume has been unlocked, go to the Bonus Features section of the Main Menu. The 4 costumes are located at the top of the list, and will cost you nothing.

Note: if you own the Gold Edition or purchased the Costume Pack DLC, there are two additional costumes (Chris' Warrior costume, and Sheva's Fairytale costume) to collect (by completing the game), though neither count towards this trophy.

[top]
Stockpile
Obtain all available weapons.

To earn this trophy you must have at least one of each weapon in your inventory at the same time.

Duplication Method:
Thanks to a glitch in the online match-making system, it's possible to clone another player's inventory. For more information how to duplicate items, see the Tips & Strategies section of this guide.

The quickest way to earn this trophy is to find another player with a fully-stocked inventory and clone it. With all the weapons in your inventory, Stockpile may still not unlock. To fix this, sell the M92F pistol, then replay Chapter 1-1 and collect it. Once you finish the chapter, and return to Item Management menu, the game should then recognize that you have a fully-stocked inventory, and the trophy should unlock. If it doesn't, repeat the process with a different weapon.

[top]
Take It to the Max
Completely upgrade all weapons.

To earn this trophy you must fully upgrade all weapons. This includes all Handguns, Shotguns, Machine guns, Rifles, and Magnums.

Normal Method:
Playing through normally will not earn you enough money to purchase every upgrade, so you will need to farm. Everyone has a different suggestion for which area will net you the most profit for the least amount of time and effort, but as long as you're replaying later stages, you can't really go wrong. My preference is for Chapter 5-1, which can be completed in roughly 5 minutes with an Infinite Rocket Launcher, and will earn you ~$25,000 per run, provided you pick up all treasures/ammo/health items/weapons. Chapter 4-1 is also a good location.

Duplication Method:
Thanks to a glitch in the online match-making system, it's possible to clone another player's inventory. For more information how to duplicate items, see the Tips & Strategies section of this guide.

The quickest way to earn this trophy is to find another player with a fully-upgraded inventory and clone it. With all the weapons in your inventory, Take It to the Max will still not unlock. To fix this, sell the upgraded M92F pistol, then re-purchase it from the store and upgrade it. The game will then recognize that you have a maxed-out inventory, and the trophy should unlock. If it doesn't, repeat the process with a different weapon.

They Belong in a Museum
Obtain all treasures in the game.

To unlock this trophy, you must collect at least one copy of each of the 50 unique treasures found throughout the game.

[top]
Badge of Honor
Find all the BSAA emblems.

To unlock this trophy, you must collect all 30 BSAA Emblems hidden throughout the game.

Video Guide:

[top]
They're ACTION Figures!
Collect all the figurines.

To unlock this trophy, you must purchase all 46 figurines from the Bonus Features menu, using Exchange Points, which are earned by completing chapters (the higher your completion rank, the more points you receive), playing Mercenaries (unlocked after completing the game once), and by playing Versus (the online competitive mode available as part of the Gold Edition, or bought separately as DLC).

2 figurines are available from the start; 11 are tied to chapter completion; 31 require you to collect BSAA Emblems; 1 (Jill) requires you to obtain an "A" rank on all chapters; and 1 (Wesker) requires you to obtain an "S" rank on all chapters.

Therefore, to unlock all figurines, you must complete the game, S-rank every chapter, and collect all 30 BSAA Emblems.

Note: there are an additional 10 figurines to collect if you own the Gold Edition. These do not count towards this trophy.

[top]
A Friend in Need
Save partner 10 times when HELP is displayed.

Whenever your partner (whether another player or AI-controlled) gets grabbed by a Majini, or attacked by a Giant Spider ("Bui Kichwa"), a "HELP" notification will appear in the middle of their health gauge to indicate that they require your assistance. To help, run over to your partner and press . Do this 10 times to unlock this trophy.

[top]
Lifeguard
Save partner 10 times when DYING is displayed.

Whenever your partner (whether another player or AI-controlled) loses all of their health and begins to bleed out, a "DYING" notification will appear in the middle of their health gauge to indicate that they require your assistance. To help, run over to your partner and press (if you have a health item in your inventory, you'll heal them - otherwise you'll simply revive them at critical health). Do this 10 times to unlock this trophy.

Note: every time your partners loses their health, the amount of time they have before bleeding out is reduced. If you farm this too much, your partner may instantly die.

[top]
Exploding Heads
Pull off 20 headshots.

To earn this trophy, you must kill 20 enemies with a critical headshot (it will cause their head to explode). You will earn this through natural play.

[top]
A Cut Above
Defeat 5 enemies with the Knife.

To earn this trophy, you must kill 5 enemies using your knife ( to equip, to slash). If you don't earn this through natural play (which is probably the case if you're speed-running), load up Chapter 1-1 and use your knife to fight the horde that you encounter shortly after getting your weapons (make sure to remove all weapons from your partners, as well).

[top]
Cattle Prod
Defeat 30 enemies with the Stun rod.

To earn this trophy, you must kill 30 enemies using the Stun Rod. Load up Chapter 1-1 and use the Stun Rod to fight the horde that you encounter shortly after getting your weapons (make sure to remove all weapons from your partners, as well). If you don't get enough kills once all Majini are dead, quit, save, and repeat.

[top]
Crowd Control
Defeat 30 enemies with the Gatling gun.

The Gatling Gun can only be used by Chris.

To get the Gatling Gun, you must first fully upgrade the VZ61 (MG), then purchase it for $50,000. Equip it, then load up Chapter 1-1. Run through the level until you reach the horde, then funnel them into the alley and mow them down (make sure to remove all weapons from your partners, as well). If the trophy doesn't unlock, quit, save, and repeat.

[top]
Bull's-eye
Defeat 30 enemies with the Longbow.

The Longbow can only be used by Sheva (unlocked after completing the game once).

To get the Longbow, you must first fully upgrade the S75 (SR), then purchase it for $50,000. Equip it, then load up Chapter 1-1. Run through the level until you reach the horde, then funnel them into the alley and mow them down (make sure to remove all weapons from your partners, as well). If the trophy doesn't unlock, quit, save, and repeat.

Note: the Longbow doesn't have a laser-sight, so you'll need to pay a bit more attention when firing it.

[top]
Get Physical
Defeat 20 enemies with physical attacks.

When an enemy is stunned or staggered, you can perform a special melee attack by running up to them and pressing when prompted. To earn this trophy, you must kill 20 enemies using these special melee attacks.

To stun or stagger an enemy, you can do one of the following them:
  • Shoot them in the head
  • Shoot them in the leg
  • Throw a Flashbang

Note: melee attacks performed when assisting a grabbed player (indicated by the "HELP" notification and the prompt) will also count towards this.

[top]
The Works
Chain the maximum number of combos together in one go.

When an enemy is stunned or staggered, you can perform a special melee attack by running up to them and pressing when prompted. While such an attack is enough to kill most regular Majini, some larger enemies are not so easily defeated, taking up to 3 hits special melee attacks before going down. To earn this trophy, you and your partner (player or AI-controlled) must successfully string together 3 special melee attacks against a single enemy.

Load up Chapter 2-1 (if you have an AI partner, remove all their weapons). Run through the maze of freight containers until you reach the end. Here you'll encounter a few infected dogs, a molotov-throwing Majini, and a Big Man Majini. This last enemy is the one you're going to perform your combo on (he's a big, fat, bald, black guy with no shirt - kind of hard to miss). Kill all the other enemies in the area, taking care not to damage the big fella.

When the area is clear, stun the Big Man by shooting him in the leg, or by throwing a Flashbang at him. Before he can recover, run over to him and hit (try and hit him towards your partner). Your partner will (hopefully) run over and hit him as well, and then you can finish him off with a third and final hit.

Note: both players must land a hit. If you hit an enemy once, the prompt to hit them again will not appear until your partner has also contributed a hit. Therefore, it must always be as follows: Player 1, Player 2, Player 1; or Player 2, Player 1, Player 2.

[top]
Lead Aspirin
Defeat a Majini with a headshot while it's jumping.

This trophy might sound difficult, but it's actually quite easy.

Load up Chapter 3-2, equip a shotgun (my preference is the Hydra), and remove all weapons from your AI partner. At the start of the level there will be a gap that you need to jump over. Kite all enemies over towards it, then jump over. Wait until they follow you, then hop back to the side you started on. Turn around and take out your shotgun. Aim it towards the enemies across the gap, but a little above them. As soon as one jumps over towards you, fire. If you managed a headshot, this trophy will unlock.

[top]
Fireworks
Shoot an enemy Molotov cocktail, dynamite stick, or hand grenade.

Throughout the game, you'll encounter a number of enemies holding explosive/incendiary devices to throw at you. To earn this trophy, you must shoot one of these devices while they're still being held. You will probably earn this through natural play. You'll know when you've successfully hit such a device when it detonates in the holder's hand.

An easy place to do this is in Chapter 2-1. Make your way through the freight container maze to the area with the Big Man Majini. Kill the infected dogs and the Big Man without stepping out into the main area. When you're sure no one is running at you, equip a scoped rifle and peek around the corner. In the middle of the area, standing on top of some more containers, will be a Majini with a Molotov Cocktail. Shoot the Molotov to kill him and unlock this trophy.

[top]
Be the Knife
Deflect a bow gun arrow with your knife.

It's unlikely that you'll earn this through regular play, but that's alright, because it's very easy to get.

Equip the Bulletproof Vest (for some added protection), fill your partner's inventory with health items, then load up Chapter 2-1 on Amateur. In the maze of freight containers you'll find a number of enemies equipped with crossbows. Deal with all the other enemies in the area, but leave the archers alone. When you're no longer being hassled by infected dogs and such, turn and face one of the crossbowmen, taking care to leave some distance between you and him. Equip your knife (hold ), then wait for him to fire (roughly 4.5 seconds after he aims at you). Right as the bolt is about to hit you, slash at it with your knife (). If you managed to hit the bolt with your knife, this trophy will unlock. If not, just let him keep firing at you until you get it.

[top]
Meat Shower
Defeat 3 Majini with one grenade or proximity bomb.

Very simple. Use a Hand Grenade or Proximity Bomb to kill at least 3 enemies.

Load up Chapter 1-1 and run through the level until you reach the horde, then funnel them into the alley. When enough of them have followed, turn around and throw a regular Hand Grenade among them. If you kill at least 3, this trophy will unlock.

[top]
Go into the Light
Defeat 2 enemies with one flash grenade.

Exposed Plagas are vulnerable to Flashbangs, and will die instantly if exposed to one. To earn this trophy, you must kill 2 plagas with a single Flash Grenade (hand-thrown or fired from a Grenade Launcher).

The easiest place to earn this is in Chapter 4-1. At the beginning of the area, a bunch of Giant Spiders will spawn. Simply throw a Flash Grenade in their general vicinity to kill them, and unlock this trophy.

[top]
Ride the Lightning
Defeat a Majini using the electric current from a transformer.

There are a few opportunities to get this throughout the game, but your best chance is in Chapter 1-1, when you reach the final area, and are waiting for helicopter support. There are 2 generators in this area, situated at the top of two power poles (if you're having trouble spotting them, look up - they're bright blue boxes that look a bit like old-school air-con units, crackling with electricity). To earn this trophy, you need to kill a Majini by electrocuting them, using a generator. Try and lead a group of them near a generator, then shoot the generator with a pistol to knock it down. If that doesn't kill the Majini, wait a few seconds, then shoot the generator again to deliver another shock. Keep doing this until the trophy unlocks.

[top]
Stop, Drop, & Roll
Defeat 3 Majini at once by setting oil canisters on fire.

Very simple. Set 3 Majini on fire by shooting a stack of Oil Canisters. This is easiest to do in Chapter 1-1 while you're waiting for the helicopter to come and blow open the gate. Once you've dealt with the Executioner (the big guy with the axe) and can access the rest of the area, run around and collect a group of Majini. There is a stack of Oil Canisters right near the gate that the Executioner busted through, so lead the group near it, then fire a single shot at it to ignite the oil and any enemies standing near it. Provided you lit up at least 3 Majini, this trophy will unlock.

[top]
Baptism by Fire
Defeat 3 Majini at once with a drum or gas tank explosion.

Very simple. Shoot an explosive barrel to kill 3 Majini at once. There are a number of opportunities to earn this, but if you don't manage to by the end of your playthrough, go back to Chapter 2-1. Play through until you get to the bridge where the truck drives at you. Take out the truck, then walk across the bridge until a bunch of Majini run at you. Wait until you see a group of them, then shoot the barrel closest to them. As long as at least 3 are killed in the explosion, this trophy will unlock.

[top]
Masters of Removing
Work together to save someone special.

This trophy can only be unlocked in Chapter 5-3.

During the fight with Jill, your goal is to remove the device on her chest. To unlock this trophy, both Chris and Sheva must assist in the removal of the device, with one character restraining Jill, while the other rips out the device. If you successfully remove the device while Jill is lying on the ground, you will not get this trophy.

If you don't get this through natural play, load up Chapter 5-3 on Amateur, and equip your AI partner with a Magnum with infinite ammo. When it comes to fight Jill, make sure that you are always restraining her (approach from behind and press ), while your partner shoots the device to weaken it. The reason I suggest this is because your AI partner will never miss, whereas if you attempt it and don't hit the device, you will kill Jill.

After 5-8 shots (depending on the Magnum, and how much it has been upgraded), you will be able to remove the device. Wait for your partner to restrain Jill, then press to start tearing the device out, by mashing the button on screen. If you're unsuccessful, shoot the device a few more times before attempting to remove it again.

For a video walkthrough, watch the video in Bad Blood , and skip to 2:20.

[top]
Bad Blood
During the first fight with Wesker, damage him a set number of times.

This trophy can only be unlocked in Chapter 5-3.

For this trophy, you will need either a powerful magnum, or the Infinite Rocket Launcher (preferred). I recommend playing on Amateur difficulty.

Towards the end of the chapter, you're forced to fight Wesker and Jill. Wesker tells you at the beginning of the fight that he will stick around for 7 minutes, so that's how long you have to damage him.

As soon as you can move, run to the far right of arena (on the ground floor - don't go up the stairs), and investigate the door. This will trigger Wesker to run over to you and kick you through it. Once you're on the other side of the door, run up the stairs, down the long corridor, then turn around. Now watch your mini-map, and wait for Wesker to reach the top of the stairs you just climbed.

Before I go on, it's important to note that you can only damage Wesker when he is unaware of you. If he sees you, and starts walking or charging towards you, he will dodge all of your shots, and you will be unable to damage him. If you manage to give him the slip, he will slowly walk around searching for you - it is only when he is like this that you can damage him.

Infinite Rocket Launcher Method:
When Wesker reaches the top of the stairs, fire your Rocket Launcher at him. If he is in the right mode, he will catch the rocket and hold it for a few seconds, so fire a second Rocket at the first to deal massive damage, ending the fight and unlocking this trophy; if he's in the wrong mode, he'll dodge your Rocket and chase after you, forcing you to retreat and attempt to surprise him again.

Magnum Method:
Use the level to lose Wesker, then attack him from behind or from the side using your Magnum. You'll need to land a number of shots (it depends on which Magnum you use, and how much you've upgraded it) to deal enough damage, so after you take 1-2 shots, reposition as quickly as you can.

Regardless of the method, once enough damage has been done, Wesker will fall to his knees, then stand back up and start sprinting around like The Flash. The trophy should unlock shortly after.

Drive By
Stop an armored truck by taking out the driver.

This trophy can only be unlocked in Chapter 2-3.

Load up the chapter on Amateur, and choose to play as Chris. During the chapter, a number of armored trucks carrying Majini will appear. To earn this trophy, you need to shoot out the armor panel on the driver cabin window, then shoot and kill the driver of the truck.

Egg on Your Face
Defeat a Majini with a rotten egg.

To earn this trophy, you need to kill a Majini by hitting them in the face with a Rotten Egg.

Rotten Eggs are quite rare, but you should find at least one at some point during your playthroughs. If you still can't find one, you can always duplicate some (see the Official Boosting Thread for partners).

My preferred method for this is to load up Chapter 1-1 on Amateur, then play until you encounter the first Majini. After it attacks Chris, kill it, then jump out the window to trigger a horde of Majinis. Run down the alley, then turn around and face them. Equip a Rotten Egg (it's thrown like a grenade), then aim at the group at approximately head-height, and throw it. If you score a headshot, the trophy will unlock. If it doesn't, exit the game, making sure to NOT save your inventory, then repeat.

Heart Stopper
Defeat a certain enemy by stabbing it in the heart.

The enemy referred to in the description is a Licker - a staple of the Resident Evil franchise.

Chapter 5-1 is where you will first encounter these guys (though they're also found in 5-2 and 5-3), so load it up on Veteran difficulty (so the Lickers can take more damage before dying), and make sure to bring a shotgun (preferably a weaker one). When you find a Licker, shoot it with your shotgun to knock it on its back, then run up and press to stab it in the heart.

Who Do You Trust?
Build up a certain level of trust with your partner.

This trophy can only be unlocked with an AI-controlled partner.

From the Main Menu, go to Item Management and choose Organize. Empty the inventories of both characters, then fill them with First-Aid Sprays (if you don't have enough, that's O.K. - but you will need at least 10).

Load up Chapter 1-2 on Veteran difficulty. On the ground, immediately in front of you, should be a generator. Stand next to it, then take out your knife, and start stabbing it. Do this until you're nearly dead, at which point your AI companion will come and heal you. As soon as they do, press to "thank" them for the assistance. Repeat this until the trophy unlocks.
