[top]Tips & Strategies
Focus - This game is all about focus! There's a ton of stuff to be paying attention to, and you're not going to get very far if you're not completely focused on the game. I play it with my computer on sleep, and my phone on silent, because a split second of distraction can screw up your perfect combo, especially when going for those Astro Admiral rankings.
Watch the Note Path - I find it easier to just pay attention mostly to the note path (the right side/the oncoming bullets you must absorb) and let my peripheral vision take care of the obstacles I need to dodge coming from behind.
Use a controller - While the guitar is a novel way to play, I find it very hard to use accurately, especially on harder difficulties. If you find it easier though, by all means, go for it. No trophy requires you to use one over the other.
Use the Practice Mode - The only way you are going to take down some of the higher difficulties is by getting to know each track inside and out. Use the Practice mode to your advantage, and memorize each track as best you can.

Step 1 - Campaign Complete
To get accustomed to the game, I would run through the game on X-TREME, just focusing on making it through the levels. The difficulty will force you to get your skills up to par pretty fast, and you can get a feel for all of the individual levels.
This will get you:
Beginner Campaign Complete
Casual Campaign Complete
Mediumcore Campaign Complete
Pro Campaign Complete
Tough Campaign Complete
X-TREME Campaign Complete
Step 2 - Astro Admiral Rankings
You must now go through the entire game on EACH difficulty, and get an Astro Admiral Ranking on EVERY level. That's right, while the campaign difficulty trophies stack, these don't. The ranking trophies will stack on each difficulty though. That means that if you get all Astro Admiral rankings on Mediumcore difficulty, you will get both
Mediumcore Continuum Captain and
Mediumcore Astro Admiral. You won't, however, get any trophies for Beginner or Casual. The Astro Admiral ranking requires you to get 100.0% completion on the level, without using Retro/Fuel. This means you need to have a flawless run. I would start on Beginner difficulty and work your way up though every level, only advancing to the next level when you get the Astro Admiral rank. Then move up the difficulties until you have mastered them all! Much easier said then done.
This step will get you:
Beginner Continuum Captain
Casual Continuum Captain
Mediumcore Continuum Captain
Pro Continuum Captain
ToughContinuum Captain
X-TREME Continuum Captain
Beginner Astro Admiral
Casual Astro Admiral
Mediumcore Astro Admiral
Pro Astro Admiral
Tough Astro Admiral
X-TREME Astro Admiral
Step 3 - Challenge Mode
Challenge mode has a ton of challenges that are just a spin on the 10 levels in the game, at various difficulties. Complete every challenge here at your own pace, and you will end up with the last 3 bronze trophies you need for 100%.
This step will get you:
Challenge Mode Complete
50 Challenges Completed

X-TREME Campaign Complete
Beat the game on the X-TREME difficulty

Beat the game on the X-TREME difficulty
The "Campaign Complete" trophies stack on the difficulty. Because of this, I recommend that you start out on X-TREME difficulty, if you can handle it. This will make it so that completing the final level will unlock all 6 difficulty trophies.
The main campaign consists of 10 levels, but in this game everything is backwards. You play as Rick Rocket, who just saved the galaxy, but accidentally messed up the space time continuum! You must now undo all of his actions, by going through his battles and un-firing all of his bullets, while dodging the enemy lasers coming from behind back into their owners ships. The "final boss" is the tutorial level, and then you must travel back from Level 10 to Level 1.
To beat the campaign on X-TREME difficulty, you will need to stay alert and watch your Retro/Fuel. Retro/Fuel allows you to go back (actually forward) in time to undo any mistakes you make. Any mistake you make will damage Space/Time, and enough mistakes will make you fail the level. However, if you have Retro/Fuel left, you can still rewind out of the game over screen, so the level only really ends when you run out of Retro/Fuel AND deplete the Space/Time bar. While things can get a little hectic in some of the later levels, playing through a few times and learning the level should prove to be enough to pass through the level.
For this trophy, you only need to finish every level, so don't worry about how bad you do on a level as long as you make it to the end. After completing level 1, you should earn the trophy for the difficulty you are on, and every difficulty below that one.

Just reach the end of the Challenge Mode map. To give you an idea of how far you are, the last level is X-3. When you are faced with a branch in the path, try to take the one that has less levels in it, so you can advance quicker. Also make use of the black holes by getting an 'S' rank on the challenges that lead to the black hole, otherwise it won't unlock. The trophy will pop after watching the credits at the end of challenge mode.

Does this sound a little to good to be true? Good, because it is. There are well over 100 events to complete, and the closer you get to the end, the more ridiculous they become. The good news is, there are no required rankings you must earn, you just have to complete all the challenges. This trophy alone might take you tens of hours to get, but at least a majority of the challenges feel fresh, and you can easily get lost in time as you go through them.
