[top]Tips & Secrets

Unlockable Characters

Tsuruhime - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Ieyasu Tokugawa
Yoshitsugu Otani - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Mitsunari Ishida
Keiji Maeda - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Masamune Date
Motochika Chosokabe - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Magoichi Saica
Motonari Mori - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Tsuruhime and Chosokabe
Yoshihiro Shimazu - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Kanbe Kuroda
Kotaro Fuma - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Yukimura Sanada
Oichi - Unlocked by completing Heroes' Story with Keiji Maeda and Kotaro Fuma

Nobunaga Oda - Begin by completing Oichi's Heroes' Story. Then replay it with Oichi again, choosing the green path playthrough. When you get to the level with Hideaki and Tenkai, follow Tenkai down the leftward hidden path and defeat him. Continue onward and you will get to the battle, Incident at Honnoji. Here you will battle Nobunaga Oda. Be careful to stop the camps from turning into the Mortal Coils as this will make him respawn and get stronger each time.

After you complete the level with Oichi, replay Heroes' Story with another character. Near the end of your path, you will see a little grey route leading to the Incident at Honnoji. Complete this playthrough and defeat Nobunaga, the same way as with Oichi(stopping the coils, etc).

Nobunaga Oda should be unlocked to play now. He begins with three different paths to choose. Red, blue, & Green if I'm not mistaken.

Character Weapons
Each character has 12 different weapons, divided up into 6 tiers. The first five weapons, each have a sub weapon with a different attribute, but generally the same thing. They will all have different stats and different accessory slots.

You will be able to get different weapons based on the difficulty and accessories you have equipped. The first two tier of weapons can be acquired on Easy, the third and fourth playing on Normal, and the fifth tier weapons only on Hard.

The last two weapons for each character are for completing the Heroes' Story three times with each. Difficulty does NOT matter.

[top]Roadmap

Step One: Begin by simply completing the Heroes' Story playthroughs with every character and then with any characters that unlock. Next, you will want to play each characters' different paths that unlock from playing through the game and take any extra routes for unlocking allies and items. You will need to complete Heroes' Story four times with each character to unlock their special sets of accessories.

Step Two: Make sure to play at least once on Normal and Hard difficulties as you replay each characters' path while trying to complete them a third and fourth time for the weapons & items that unlock. You can use Free Mode to choose any random battle to clear out fugitives & play on Hard for the characters' fifth weapons.

Step Three: From here, just play any battles you want, to clear up any remaining trophies, hunting fugitives, unlocking allies you missed, complete a Heroes' story or two, and just doing whatever you can to unlock accessories/materials and max level each character.

NOTE: You will have to use the same character for the fugitives, as spreading them out does not count.

[top]
Smooth Operator
Complete Heroes' Story while taking no damage in at least one battle

To obtain this trophy, you must complete at least one battle while taking NO damage at all. If you do, you'll have to retry from the beginning of another battle or choose to restart the level. Recommend definitely trying this on a level with very few to no archers and riflemen as they will make going for this trophy hell. Also, have difficulty set on Easy and try to go directly after the enemy commander with a high level and huge damage dealing character to shorten time of the battle. Longer you stay in combat, the greater chance you will possibly hit. Try and complete this on a battle where you battle someone that won't use alot of long range OR quick hits as that could cause some problems in the long run.

Playing on two player may possibly work and be a solution for this trophy if having many difficulties. Simply have one player take out all the soldiers around the beginning of the level and then work thorugh killing everyone of the opposing force. Now use your player that you want to take no damage and use him to deal the final blows to the battle commander boss so that it seems like you used him in the battle. This method is unconfirmed, so try only if can't manage it alone.

[top]
Man of Morals
Complete Heroes' Story while defeating less than 100 enemies

To obtain this trophy, you will need to complete a Heroes' Story while killing no more than 100 enemies. This includes every battle of the story so try and follow the shortest routes possible when going for this trophy. When battle opens, run straight for the enemy commander the best you can and kill no one unnecessarily if possible. If you get one of the defend battles to complete, simply start over(or complete and go for some other trophy/accessory) as it will mess your KO count up for the entire thing.

[top]
Army Annihilator
Complete Heroes' Story while defeating more than 5000 enemies

To obtain this story, you must kill more than 5,000 enemies over the course of every battle during Heroes' Story. You don't have to do this on one battle as some other trophies work, only that you achieve this amount over every battle.

[top]
Frenzied Fighter
Complete Heroes' Story while performing a combo of 500 hits or higher

To obtain this trophy, complete the final battle of Heroes' Story while performing a 500 hit combo. You will know when the last battle is coming up due to the cutscene with the sky darkening and the most likely one of the battles of Sekigehara. You will most likely face either Ieyasu or Mitsunari so just manage it out that you achieve your combo while dealing the final blow. Easiest to have 2 players possibly for extra hits, activate your Hero Time ability, and near end of it, use your BASARA attack to chain the moves together seemlessly.

TIP: Been told that this trophy is actually for achieving a 500 hit combo in every level of a Heroes' Story playthrough rather than the way I explained, but is unconfirmed. Also I got it when the general died after the 500+ combo, but unsure if I had achieved a 500 hit combo in every other level.
*TIP COURTESY OF CHOASZAGE*

[top]
Better than the Best
Complete Heroes' Story on Hard while not equipping accessories on your default weapon

For this trophy, simply complete a Heroes' Story on the Hard difficulty setting while not equipping any accessories on the default weapon. Best to use a higher leveled character that you are good and possibly use two players. Not sure if both players would need to use the default weapons OR if only player one needs to, but assuming both will have to follow this requirement. Same as recommened for Man of Morals trophy, play the shortest routes possible and head for the main commander ASAP to avoid prolonged fighting.

[top]
One Trick Samurai
Complete Heroes' Story while using only Normal Art combos in at least one battle

For this trophy, use only attacks to complete at least one battle. You can not parry, use BASARA attacks, Hero Time, or your moves. Only combos of . It will make the battle rather tedious and slow, but just make it through on a level during Heroes' Story and be done with it.

[top]
One Trick Shogun
Complete Heroes' Story while using only BASARA/Ultimate BASARA Arts in at least one battle

For this trophy, you must complete one level during Heroes' Story without using any attacks other than your BASARA special move. You can taunt enemies to fill it up, allow the enemies to hit you over and over, or allow enemies to bring your health into the red and it will slowly refill. Try this on a level where you can run straight through to the enemy commander and you should have no problems.

[top]
Basara Freak
Complete Heroes' Story while finishing every battle with BASARA/ Ultimate Arts.

For this trophy, simply complete every battle of a Heroes' Story using a BASARA or Ultimate BASARA attack. Wear down the enemy commander each time while saving your attack and then when you only have a few more hits until the commander is dead, use it. Do this for every battle that you have for a Heroes' Story and trophy will pop once it is completed.

[top]
Singing Samurai
Have either "Lute" or "Koto" equipped for a whole battle

For this trophy, simply play a battle with either of these accessories equipped. These items will have to be created, but when equipped play the opening and credit music during battle.

[top]
BASARA Fan
Finish in a battle with BASARA/Ultimate BASARA Art

For this trophy, you will need to perform your special BASARA attack on the main enemy commander and kill him using it. Just wear down enemy commander while saving the move until he is near dead, then use it to kill him.

[top]
Comeback Kid
Finish a battle with an Ultimate BASARA Art while your health is low (5,00 health points or less)

For this trophy, you need to perform your Ultimate BASARA special attack to kill the main enemy commander. Just like BASARA Fan, except you must use the ultimate version, which is when you are near dead and you must have Hero Time active, to kill him.

[top]
Hawk Eye
Finish a battle with a parry

For this trophy, you will have to kill the main enemy commander during any battle, with a parry attack. This is when you guard, L2 button, right as the enemy attacks and your character counterstrikes them. Simply take down the enemy until they have just a sliver of health left and parry attack them until they die. Be careful not to do too much damage and kill them when their health gets low without doing the parry. During all the battles you have to play, you may happen across this by accident as I did so don't struggle too much to get it done early.

[top]
Frenzy N00b
Perform a 500 hit combo for the first time

For this trophy, you simply have to rack up a 500 hit combo. Easiest way I'd suggest is to go into the enemy main camp and just kill soldiers here without killing any of the guard captains. Sitting by a gate and waiting could possibly work as well if they come out fast enough and you get a rhythm down for it.

For more help with trophy, see "Hit Counts Hero".

[top]
Combo Master
Perform a 2,000 hit combo for the first time

For this trophy, same thing as Frenzy n00b, you'll have to find a place where enemy troops just keep pouring out at you and attack until you get the combo you want or it goes away one.

For more help with trophy, see "Hit Counts Hero".

[top]
Hit Counts Hero
Perform a 10,000 hit combo for the first time

Similar to Frenzy n00b & Combo Master trophies, only you must score a 10,000 hit combo. Begin by at least playing on Normal Difficulty with a weaker weapon that you can combo well enough. Best to play on harder difficulty if you can so that enemies will have more health and defense agasint your attacks, but is unnecessary if you feel you can achieve this on Easy or whatever difficulty. Choose a battle with LOTS of enemies and try to get them crowded up near you. Now attack and use your Basara and True basara moves to rack in the hits. Try to go frenzy mode so that if you get hit, your combo won't be broken and be careful of this as you're fighting. Any of the final Sekigahara levels from Heroes' Story I would recommend as you will have tougher enemies to begin with AND tons of them to fight at once.

[top]
Beloved General
Have "Support Beam" equipped for a whole battle

For this trophy, simply complete a level with the accessory, Support Beam, equipped. This item will have to be created.

[top]
Sideline General
Have "Hairs of Encouragement" equipped for a whole battle

For this trophy, simply complete a level with the accessory, Hairs of Encouragement, equipped. This item you will have to create, but boosts the morale of your ally forces to help make the battles easier.

[top]
Slots Samurai
Have "Big Bucks Wallet" equiped for a whole battle

For this trophy, simply complete a level with the accessory, Big Bucks Wallet, equipped. This item you will have to create, but gives you more money through each battle.

[top]
Peaceful Soul
Have "sunglasses" equipped for a whole battle

For this trophy, simply complete a level with the accessory, Sunglasses, equipped. This item you will have to create, but gives you more experience earned in battle at the cost of not being able to see your health bar.

[top]
Horseman
Finish a battle on horseback

To obtain this trophy, you will need to simply kill the main enemy commander while you are riding a horse. Find a level where you can get a horse easily and make sure when the commander is low on health that you get on the horse and perform the killing strike.

[top]
Gourmet Shogun
Finish a battle after eating 25 rice balls

For this trophy, simply do not finish a level until you have found and consumed at least 25 rice balls. These sometimes drop from enemy soldiers, but most often found lying around levels in boxes or urns. When you consume 25 or more and finish the level, the trophy will pop.

[top]
Steell Liver Samurai
Finish a battle after drinking 15 drinks

This trophy is similar to Gourmet Shogun, except you are looking for drink drops instead of rice balls and you only need 15 of them. These will also be found in boxes and dropped from enemies that are carrying supplies.

[top]
Treasure Hunter
Acquire a combination of 24 or more hatena boxes and weapons from one battle

For this trophy, you must complete a level while acquiring at least 24 more hatena boxes and weapons from a single battle. Simply pick a big level with lots of enemy generals and kill them all picking up anything they drop. Also, try and smash open the boxes located around the level to get even more weapons and the hatena boxes.

[top]
Considerate Commander
Finish a battle without breaking a single basket

For this trophy, you will need to complete one level without breaking a single basket. Best to rush straight for the main enemy commander and stay away from any boxes & baskets to avoid hitting any soldiers into them or accidentally breaking them in your strikes. One more thing is to set the game on Easy difficulty so the enemies will attack you less and insure that you can kill the commander as quickly as possible. Just watch and use appropriate attacks and don't just blindly swing all over and this trophy will no problem.

[top]
Good Parent
Level up every hero to their maximum level

To obtain this trophy, you will need to level up each character in the game, to the max level. Easiest to play co-op with a friend and let them play as one character while you play as a different one and they should both receive the experience for it. Also, using the items, like Sunglasses, that give you more EXP will help speed this process up. Make at least 2 of these items so that both players, if playing co-op can equip them.

[top]

Bounty Hunter
KO Every Fugitive with a Single Hero

For this trophy, you will need to play each battle with one character, defeating every fugitive that appears. There is one fugitive per level and 38 levels. They appear after you complete specific goals or simply after an amount of time passes. Just pay attention to the history and notes that pop up from time to time and hunt each one down using a solitary warrior. Each fugitive will grant your warrior a specific bonus to one of their stats.

You are able to complete this trophy on either Free mode or through Heroes' Story. If you hunt down a fugitive in the story mode, you will receive double EXP than through free mode so keep in mind if want to utilize this for leveling up your characters. 10,000 Exp and other stat bonuses for killing fugitive and 20,000 if completed in Heroes' Story.

NOTE: Unlocking the ally Hanzo will help when searching for the fugitives as when they appear, you will get a marker on your map to help find their exact location. Every aspect of the battle will affect these materials you acquire when you complete them. Difficulty will also play a part in what items you will receive so play all 38 battles on hard difficulty to unlock some of the final mats you need.

[top]
Fashionista
Acquire Every Accessory.

Simply collect at least one of every accessory, either by finding in a battle or crafting it with materials, and you will obtain this trophy. To unlock all accessories, you will at least have to play through Heroes' Story four times with every character in the game. You must play through four times in story mode as each one is unlocked every time that character is used to complete Heroes' Story.

Also, you will need several of every material found in the game through battles to craft every accessory in the game and nearly all 1,000,000 zenny as well.
