To get through most of the game, just remember to stay in cover at all times, and to use the Attack Command as much as possible. Doing those 2 things will get you through most the game with ease.

[top]Roadmap

Playing Spec Ops, you will need to make decisions to get through some chapters. Each decision has 2 options and will require you to play the game twice. You need to play the game on the 2 hardest difficulties anyway, so you can get all decisions done in both playthroughs. You will however need to play the last chapter over, after your two playthroughs to get the last Decision trophy. It does not matter what decisions you make except for Chapter 15's decision, as this decision has the option for you to either unlock the Epilogue or not. Unlocking the epilogue gives you 2 more decisions you need to make, so you will need to play chapter 15 a total of 3 times. It is up to you on what decisions you want to make, but here is a guide to make the decisions you should make that will make your playthroughs much easier for you.

Step 1. Play campaign on 'Suicide Mission' difficulty: Collect all Intel and make these decisions in the following chapters-

  • See Intel Operative so you can get all Intel through chapters 1 to 15.
  • Chapter 7 Choose the decision A Man of Action
  • Chapter 9 Choose the decision Damned if you Don't
  • Chapter 11 Choose the decision Friendly Fire
  • Chapter 13 Choose decision either decision, it does not matter.
  • Chapter 15 Choose the decision Too Late the Hero
  • Epilogue Choose either The Road Back or The Road to Glory

Selecting these decisions and getting all Intel will make your "Fubar" difficulty run through that much easier.

Step 2. Replay chapter 15 on any difficulty: Make the opposite Epilogue decision that you made in Step 1-

  • Chapter 15 Choose Too Late the Hero
  • Epilogue Choose the opposite decision that you chose in your Suicide mission paythrough. Either The Road Back or The Road to Glory

You can replay the chapter over for either of the decisions you need, or you can do this, Thanks to Explicit_Hate for the tip:
for "The road back" and "the road to glory" trophies.
when you are playing the epilogue do not shoot any one and let them take your gun from u .
trophy should pop , then pause the game , choose restart checkpoint , then kill as many as you want then die.
the other trophie will pop ,and there you go , 2 silver trophies , no need to replay the last mission

Step 3. Play campaign on 'FUBAR' difficulty: Make these decisions in the following chapters-

  • Chapter 7 Choose A Man of Patience
  • Chapter 9 Choose Damned if you Do
  • Chapter 11 Choose Unfriendly Fire
  • Chapter 13 Choose either decision, it does not matter.
  • Chapter 15 Choose the decision A Farewell to Arms

Step 4. Replay any chapter you need to get all miscellaneous trophies that you do not have.

To make this decision, you must attempt to save the Hostages instead of Gould. Lugo will want you to save Gould, while Adams suggest that you go save the hostages. Listen to Adams and follow him in a crouched position, as you will need to be stealthy this entire time. Continue to follow Adams as he kills a guard. Take the weapon the guard dropped if you do not have the M4A1 equipped already. Use its secondary ability, which is a silencer, by pressing . After you have done so follow Adams until he accidentally alerts a guard. Kill this guard before he spots Adams by shooting him in the head. Then proceed on till you spot 2 more guards. Take your time to take aim at one of the guards' heads and fire. Adams will kill the other guard regardless of the one you chose. You will then free the hostages, then have to regroup with Lugo near Goulds body. Continue on and this trophy will pop shortly after.

You will make it to a point where a cut-scene will trigger, and find 2 men hanging by their hands. Konrad will then contact you by radio. In order to make this decision, you must NOT listen to Konrad, and NOT kill either of the 2 men hanging. You can either proceed forward, or shoot one of the snipers. Doing so will cause the 4 snipers on the side to attack you. Take cover behind the car to your right and kill all 4 snipers. The 2 men will then die no matter what, so do not worry if you think them dying was the wrong way to make this decision. Proceed on and this trophy will unlock.

[top]
MFWIC
Complete game on "FUBAR" difficulty.

"FUBAR'' difficulty is the highest difficulty in the game, and only becomes unlocked after you have beaten the game on "Suicide Mission" difficulty. This difficulty does not have too much of a jump in difficulty than Suicide mission, but still can be troublesome. It is very similar to Uncharted 2's Crushing difficulty, so if you have been able to get through that, than you should be able to get through this no problem. The hardest part about this game however, is your teammates getting downed. If an ally goes down, you need to get to them before the bar above them fills in red. You can have the other teammate go and save him, but if he goes down, you must go save them both. Just remember to stay in cover at all times during fire fights, and to pick up all enemy ammo before proceeding on to the next area. Use the Command System with wisely, as it can cause your allies to move out of cover and cause them to get downed.
Here are some tips you need to remember:
  • Use cover, ALWAYS.
  • Refill on ammo before leaving an area. Ammunition is scarce in this game.
  • Use the Command System by holding down to select an enemy you want an ally to attack, when you're in trouble, you need a distraction, or at all times to save ammo and as a big time saver.(be careful on the enemy you select; making an ally go after a distant enemy may make them get out of cover and cause them to be downed.)
  • Do not be trigger happy, and do not stick to one weapon. Enemies change weapon frequently so you should too.
  • Be patient, taking your time will give you the best results.
  • Make executions. Once an enemy has been downed, they may not be dead all the way. Go up to them and press to execute them. This will give extra ammo.
  • Be wary of grenades. When an enemy throws a grenade at you, you will see it in a bright red color. This means get away as fast as possible. Once you see the grenade turn white/gray, you are clear of the blast.
  • Aim for the head as much as possible. This will save you ammo and can get conflicts done much quicker.

Remember all these tips and you should have no problem getting through this difficulty.

There will be a little bar showing up ever so often to show you the progress of this trophy. [top]
Applied Force
Hit 10 enemies with your melee attack. (campaign only)

In order to melee in the game, you must run up to an enemy and press to hit them. By doing this 10 times this trophy will be yours. It may be difficult to run up to an enemy on a harder difficulty, so if you do not have this once you complete the first 2 playthroughs, pick the easiest difficulty on any mission and get this trophy then.

[top]
In Your Face
Kick an enemy by vaulting over a cover. (campaign only)

For this trophy you need to approach an enemy behind cover and vault over the cover causing your guy to kick him. You want to approach the enemy by going from cover to cover to get on the other side of the cover he is on. Then you will line up your guy with him and vault over by pushing , kicking him automatically. He does not need to die, but it will help if you kill him before he gets up to kill you. It may be hard to do this on a harder difficulty, so you can do it later on an easier difficulty if needed. If you cannot get close to an enemy, wait behind cover long enough and they may come to you, giving you an opportunity then.

Situational Awareness
Stun an enemy by dumping sand on their head. (campaign only)

Over the course of the game you will come across areas where you can shoot glass that will break and dump sand on enemies. Just be aware of areas that look like they can break and be sure enemies are under neath them. Once you have stunned an enemy by dumping sand on them this trophy should pop. A good place to try and achieve this trophy is in chapter 10. Once you're in a darkened room where enemies will start flooding in from behind, there will be a glass ceiling. Wait for some enemies to get in the middle of the room, and once they're in the middle, shoot the ceiling, and if you have judged right on where the sand will land, you should have stunned them.

[top]

[top]
Battle Management

For this trophy you need any type of shotgun in the game. It is suggested to try for this trophy on an easier difficulty, as you may need to stay out of cover for the best results. 10 seconds is actually a fair amount of time, and a shotgun is very effective in the game, even from a little distance. Just be sure to be in an area of 4 or more guys and let it rip on a shotgun killing spree. Once you get 4 or more kills in under 10 seconds, this trophy will pop.

Wait till he gets considerably close to where you know blind fire will kill him. Once you have killed him and he is laying on the ground next to you, this trophy should pop.

You should be able to complete the first 3 missions in under 30 minutes with ease. If you do die you must start over. Just remember stay in cover as much as possible and use the Attack Command with . Once you have finished the 3 missions without dying, this trophy is yours.

All You can Be
Complete any chapter with 60%+ accuracy without dying or reloading a checkpoint.

In order to get this trophy you must complete any chapter without dying or reloading with an accuracy for your shooting at 60% or higher. There is no way to tell what your accuracy is in game or after the mission, so it will all come down to hoping you got it by seeing the trophy pop at the end of the chapter. The easiest way to get this trophy is by selecting the first or second chapters on the easiest difficulties and constantly use Attack Command by pressing so you do not need to shoot much. Use burst fire when you shoot to be more accurate by tapping , and shoot only when an enemy is out of cover and is close to you. NEVER use blind fire here. This will mostly come down to skill, but should not be to much trouble. Good Luck.

Deer Hunter
Kill an oryx. (campaign only)

For this trophy you will have to kill an Oryx. The first time you see one will be right at the beginning of the game. You will get on a bridge, then have to jump over some sand bags. You will then approach the edge where you're gonna have to rappel down, but before you go down look over to your right, and you will see 4 Oryx. Shoot and kill one while the others will run away. Once you have done so the trophy will pop shortly after, then you may proceed to rappel down.
