[top]Roadmap

1. Drive every road, find every wreck, take every photo, and complete all missions in Ibiza: This unlocks everything in Ibiza thus letting you have access to anything you need in order to complete the championships, although I recommend not spending money on tuner parts unless you REALLY need to.

2. Earn all licenses in Ibiza: Very easy, although some individual tests can be troublesome. There are only 3 so once they are done you'll be good to go.

3. Complete all events in Ibiza: This means all championships, duels, and the cup. It may take a few restarts but you'll win the races easily enough.

4. Drive every road, find every wreck, take every photo, and complete all missions in Hawaii: Well technically it's Oahu but for your sake it's Hawaii. Hawaii is twice the size of Ibiza so it will take twice as long, you get the same benefits as in Ibiza.

5. Earn all licenses in Hawaii Harder, and longer, than Ibiza but not much harder. There are 5 licenses here, C3, B3, A5-A4, A3-A2, and A1 with more tests per license than Ibiza. Don't worry though, once it's done you don't have to do it again.

6. Complete all events in Hawaii: Even more events here and even harder, but still not that hard. Once done you will complete the Test Drive Unlimited 2 career, finally!

7. Earn all online trophies: Ok honestly this can be done at any point. There are 13 online trophies which thank goodness are not substantially hard to earn but still a bit difficult.

8. Clean up: This involves any non-career trophy and Level 60 that you didn't earn while completing the rest of the game. Fortunately they aren't hard trophies to earn.

[top]Tips and Strategies

1. Spend your money wisely: Don't just buy a car and then realize it's not right for you once you do a race and then trade it in for a better car, you lose money that way. Also only buy tuner upgrades if you really need it, avoid tuning super expensive cars as their upgrades cost a ton of cash. Also don't waste money tuning the Bonus Cars, you won't be able to use them in races because they are either too slow or are too high of a grade to compete also only buy cheap clothing, and just enough, to contribute to the "Clothes" section of the Collection Skill, same goes for surgeries, haircuts, and stickers.

2. Focus on buying houses first: When you have all the houses you can fill them all with cars easily, Sadly it DOES take a lot of cash to buy cars and houses. Just don't buy that million dollar mansion when you need a million dollar car to win the next championship or cup. If you have to trade in your lower class cars to buy a new higher class car for the next championship then do so, you don't need those lower class cars to complete the events.

3. Buy cars from the Used Car Dealership: While he doesn't sell all of the cars here he does sell quite a bit of them and they are a bit cheaper than a new car, that is unless they are a level 3 or 4 car then in that case it's worth it as the car has free upgrades. Speaking of upgrades most of the used cars have tuner parts already installed, a nice bonus.

4. Unlock the Deluxe F.R.I.M.: This is unlocked at Competition level 12 and grants you double the amount of cash payout from banked cash via F.R.I.M.

[top]Trophies

[top]
100% Cleared
This is the platinum trophy and is unlocked automatically when all the trophies have been unlocked

Platinum, you earn this once every other trophy is unlocked.

[top]
Level 60
Reach level 60

This requires you to do everything. Drive every road in Ibiza and Hawaii, own all 6 Bonus Cars, have 5 PSN friends who have played Test Drive Unlimited 2 online, etc. you can see all objectives you have to do in the "Progress and Objectives" tab in the pause menu. It will take lots of time and money to reach level 60 but it is doable.

[top]
Aloha!
Make it to Hawaii

You need to be level 10 in order to fly to Hawaii. Once you are level 10 you'll get a call from Tess, press to mark the airport on your GPS and head there, or just warp there if you explored all of the roads in Ibiza. Do note that you need at least $2000 in order to fly there, don't worry it's just a one time fee.

[top]
Learning
Obtain The C4 license

This is the very first thing you will do after you arrive at your house, follow the mark on your GPS to the Classic Racing School to earn this license. There are 6 tests in all, the last two with the Mustang are the hardest. The tests have arrows on the track to help you determine how when and how much you should slow down. One mistake and you have to start the test all over again. Once all 6 tests are complete you will receive your license.

[top]
Racing School Master
Obtain all licenses

There are 8 licenses all together, A7-A6, A5-A4, A3-A2, A1, C4, C3, B4, B3. A7-A6, B4, and C4 are on Ibiza while the rest are on Hawaii. The amount of tests depends on the license, B and C have 6 and A has 7. Once you complete the A1 license, mmm steak sauce, you will be done!

[top]
The Beginner
Win a championship

Championships are the heart of Test Drive Unlimited 2. These are where you progress your career and earn some serious cash. The first, and only, championship available is the C4 Championship. The Lancia Delta is a smart choice for this championship, sorry the Mustang loses control easily. After you place first in every race you'll unlock this trophy. Don't worry the races are fairly easy, if you need more umf then tune the car.

[top]
King of Ibiza
Win Ibiza Cup, area 1

This race is unlocked after completing all of the Ibiza Championships. This race puts all of what you've learned while on Ibiza to the limits. The races are a mixture of every race type: Race, Time Trial, Speed, Speedtrap, and Eliminator. You will need an A7, A6, B4, and C4 car. The vehicles I used were the Lancia Delta (C4), Land Rover Range Rover Sport (B4), either Alfa Romeo (A7), and the Nissan 370Z (A6) all at level 3, or 4 if you have all done all of the discoverables in Ibiza. The first 7 races go as normal but the last race is an endurance Time Trial. You have to drive 74 miles, roughly 40-50 minutes, Around the whole island. It is an A6 event so you'll use the Nissan 370Z, that is if you are using it. Unless you drive as bad as I do you Will win this with at least 5-8 minutes left, I had 5 minutes left. Once done you will be awarded $1,000,000 which unlocks Get rich or try driving. You also get a special Lotus Evora "Solar Crown" after winning.

[top]
Coronation
Win all championships & cups

There are 22 championships (2 for each license) and 4 cups (1 in Ibiza and 3 in Hawaii). The races are not that hard, this is a fairly easy racing game. The problem is the cars are very hard to handle so find what you can handle best, test drive the cars from the dealerships so you don't waste money. Each championship and cup pays out more than the previous but they get more difficult as you go but not too bad, like I said it's fairly easy.

[top]
Multi-Challenger
Win 5 challenges in each multiplayer mode (Race, Speed, Speedtrap)

That means a total of 15 events. From the map, while online, look for any Race, Speed, and Speedtrap. Setup custom matches for players at your skill level so you'll have an easier time.

NOTE: Due to the friends list not being populated I can not test to see if setting up private matches works. once the game has been patched I will attempt this trophy with a friend and see if it unlocks.

[top]
Instant challenge, instant cash!
Earn $10,000 in instant challenges

A very easy trophy, best done offline. from the pause menu got to "Options" and then "Game Settings" set the "Wager" to $2,000. Find an AI racer and challenge him/her to a instant challenge by flashing your headlights, . If you want it done right away then set your wager amount to $10,000 and challenge a racer while online. Be warned, online racers are real people so they will be harder to win against. (or easier if they are new)

[top]
Cockpit Addict
Drive 500 km (311 miles) using the cockpit view (any game mode)

Do this while discovering all of the roads in Ibiza. Just press once and you'll be in cockpit view. Simply drive until the platinum appears, races also count towards the mileage. You'll get it before you are halfway done with Ibiza.

[top]
Fast and Luxurious
Drive at 400 km/h (249 mph) for 5 sec. (any game mode)

Head to the European Cars (south) dealership, located in the southern most part of Ibiza, and test drive the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition. As soon as the test drive begins perform a U-Turn and head down the straight road till you reach a roundabout, a roundabout is a circular road. After the roundabout will be a nice straight road that is long enough to reach the speed needed for the length of time. Avoid any and all cars and the shoulders of the road, you have till the overpass to unlock the trophy. If you fail just keep test driving the same car until you get it. Another method is once the test drive starts is to drive forward until you reach a slight curve in the road and then U-Turn, you could reach the speed needed in the amount of time this way but it's a bit tougher as the road between the dealership and roundabout is shorter than the road between the roundabout and overpass.

[top]
Say “Cheese!”
Get clocked by the radar 100 times (Speedtrap game mode)

Speedtraps are online challenges so you have to be online to do these. There is a town just south of where you get your first house, the Caravan, a speedtrap event is there. Speedtraps are the emblems that show a camera with a flash. All you have to do is test run the challenge, once it starts head to the nearest speedtrap and slowly pass through it. Quickly reverse through it and then drive through it slowly again. Repeat until the time stops and you should have driven through the speedtrap 35-40 times. Repeat this 2 more times for the trophy.

[top]
Tuning Addict
Tune a car to the max level

You will find tuner shops after you've driven every road, granted you followed the above tip.The max level to tune a car is 4, however you can't do this right away. You have to have a high discovery mode, more research to be done for the exact level, in order to have all of the tuning parts. You can check the Tuner Shops to see the maximum upgrade level, this is from the map before entering. The type of car determines the price of the tuner parts, a Lancia Delta's parts are cheaper than a Golf GTI's parts.

[top]
My Beautiful Caravan
Own 1 house (caravan)

You earn this during the setup process, before you head out to do the C4 License.

[top]
Subprime crisis?
Own one house from each level

Each house have a star ranking below their name when you go to purchase them. The rankings are 0 stars all the way to 5 stars. You start off with a 0 star house, the Caravan, this leaves you with 5 more to buy. Unfortunately houses are VERY expensive, the house next up from the Caravan costs $95,000. Fortunately there are plenty of opportunities to earn money. Unfortunately most of these don't pay out that much cash. A good way to earn some quick cash are offline Instant Challenges, unfortunately you have to limit yourself to $2,000 per challenge, thankfully they go buy quick and you can press after the challenge to instantly start a new one. Also you can redo races, find one that has a good balance of short length and good payout. Unfortunately you can not redo championships for prize money.

[top]
Fashion Victim
Change your clothes or hairstyle 40 times

From your house head to your closet and change any item of clothing or a combination of clothing or your hairstyle 40 times or you can change your clothing 20 times and your hairstyle 20 times or you can change your hairstyle 40...well I think you get the picture.

[top]
Mummy
Complete 20 multiplayer challenges with bandages

Bandages are placed on your face after you receive facial surgery at a clinic. Just participate in any of the multiplayer challenges around the islands to unlock this trophy. Community Challenges do not count towards this trophy.

God of Cars
Own all purchasable cars

There are 99 cars total in the game, no idea why they couldn't do 100. This includes all 6 bonus cars, all pink slip cars, all club cars, and every car you can purchase. Fortunately there are lots of ways to earn money, Clubs, the Casino which costs 9.99 USD, Multiplayer and Co-op challenges, and single player missions, photo spots, and races. Unfortunately right now the Clubs and Co-op challenges are disabled and you can only earn the prize money from completing a championship once, Ibiza Cup pays out 1 million after completion but can only be earned once. Luckily each individual race still pays out so find a really short race, Hawaii's B3 Low Championship has two races that are 1.7 miles long. It will take a while to grind the money you need, especially since the Yachts cost 5 and 6 million. You do not have to upgrade the cars to level 4, save your money by not upgrading the vehicles because you don't really need to tune your cars. If you absolutely need to tune your car then start off with level one and work your way up until you are fast enough.

[top]
Car-tist
Decorate 5 different cars

Well obviously you'll first need 5 cars but when you do all you have to do is place 1 sticker on each car or repaint them at a Sticker Shop.

[top]
Big Spender
Spend 1 million dollars

This is a cumulative total, just keep spending your money when you get the chance or you can wait till you have 1 million for Get Rich or Try Driving. Which afterward you can spend it all at once on a car or house that costs over 1 million.

[top]
Get rich or try driving
Possess 1 million dollars

This is very, VERY easy. All you have to do is complete the Ibiza Cup, the ending purse is exactly 1 million. This saves you the frustration of trying to save up enough while having to buy faster cars.

[top]
Reckless Driver
Drive around and hit 100 AI controlled cars and destructible objects

Too easy, just keep hitting every car and road sign in sight until the trophy pops up. Just be careful not to hit cop cars or other emergency vehicles, that is if you don't want a police chase.

[top]
Easy Money
Earn $100,000 with F.R.I.M.

Head to the C4 License School and drive onto the test track behind the school. Keep driving in an oval and drift around the turns, play offline so you don't hit other racers or they hit you. The best way to do this is to reach F.R.I.M level 10, which banks $4000. By doing it this way you only need to do it 25 times but it takes a while to reach level 10 but you avoid collisions as the test track is wide open, unless you somehow manage to hit one of the trees. I used the Lancia Delta at level 3 but you can choose which ever car suits you. If you have the Deluxe F.R.I.M. this will only take you 12.5 times, half the amount if you do it with the normal F.R.I.M.

[top]
Hard earned money
Bank the maximum level of F.R.I.M. (10)

Use the same method as Easy Money. It takes a while but this is the easiest way to reach level 10. Once you reach level 10, $4000, bank it for the trophy. I used the same car as Easy Money but again you can choose which is best for you.

[top]
Kangaroo
Make a 100 m (109 yd) jump (any game mode)

Best done on an asphalt road with a really fast car. There are plenty of jumps around but not all get you 100 m of distance. I did this on a race in the A6 High championship in Ibiza. There is a jump that gets you enough distance, if you jump from the left side, to get you 100 m of distance.

[top]

[top]
The Explorer
Drive 5000 km (3107 miles)

You will obtain this trophy while mapping all of the roads in Ibiza and Hawaii, which you have to do anyways to reach level 60. It will take a long time before you reach 5000 km (3107 miles) but just hang in there. Remember, all online challenges and career races count towards to mileage count.

Helping hand
Succeed in 10 missions

See Events Accomplished

[top]
Events Accomplished
Achieve all missions

Missions appear at certain times of the day, and for a limited amount of time. They aren't very hard but the most difficult and annoying of these are the Speed Limit missions which require you to be at a certain speed, more info below. There are 100 missions in total, 40 in Ibiza and 60 in Hawaii. Here are all of the mission types and what you have to do to beat them:

Adrenaline: An adrenaline junkie wants you to drive like a stuntman. Jump, drift, dodge traffic, and speed to fill up the Adrenaline Gauge within a certain time limit. Very easy mission type.

Jolt: Some chick who has stomach issues wants you to drive her to a destination without making her sick. The Jolt Gauge fills up when you drive off-road, accelerate and decelerate to quickly, turn too sharp, jump, and crash. If your Jolt Gauge fills up too high stop and wait for it to empty. I recommend driving at a slow pace so you don't crash, thus causing you to fail the mission.

Driving: Similar to Jolt but instead of making sure the passenger doesn't get sick you must get them there without emptying the Driving Gauge. Unfortunately it doesn't fill back up so BE CAREFUL. The Driving Gauge follows the same rules as the Jolt Gauge but empties instead of filling. Some of these have a time limit, which they should have just made them a Time Attack mission, so you'll have to drive fast and carefully.

Time Trial: Some annoying business man needs to go to a meeting in a hurry. Not only are you timed but you also have a Driving Gauge so you have to be careful as well. Don't worry though, you will have plenty of time to make it if you aren't driving like my grandma. Some of these missions don't have a Driving Gauge which means you don't have to be as careful.

Tail:A guy suspects his girlfriend is cheating on him. You must follow her till she reaches her destination, no clear indication on that. BE CAREFUL!!! Do not get too close or too far or you will fail the mission. It will indicate when you get too close or too far. If too close then back up till the icon above her car is green, if you are losing her then punch it. If you can't catch up then you'll need a faster car.

Driving Convoy: This requires you to drive someone stranger's car without causing too much damage. Try to make it without damaging it at all to receive a maximum payout, worth it. Drive slowly, not too slow, so you can manage the car. Crashing and driving off-road reduce the Driving Gauge which now has a money counter. The more damage the less cash. These missions pay out the most.

Speed Limit: Some moron who sound's like he's been spending too much time at the bar want's you to drive at a certain speed for about 2 minutes. This can be tricky as you will have to dodge traffic and there may be turns in the road. It seems that these are the hardest and most abundant. Choose a car that has quick acceleration so you don't fail the mission if you have to slow down to make a turn or crash, the quick acceleration will get you up to the speed limit quickly.

Reporter
Find all viewpoints (photographer)

There is a photo studio located in southern Ibiza, it's marked as a camera on your map. If you discovered every road then you can simply warp there, if not you'll have to warp to the closest location and drive there via GPS. There are 20 viewpoints in Ibiza and 20 in Hawaii. The studios each have an album you can look at to get a general idea on the location of the viewpoint but it's not completely helpful as most parts of the island look the same. Each photo earns you $5,000, no you can not retake pictures, while finishing all 20 on each island earns you a nice hefty cash amount. Some viewpoints require certain weather conditions, and time frame, car, or a combination of weather, time, and car. Fortunately for you there are videos provided on the EXACT location of each viewpoint.

That is a total of 60 wreaks to find, 20 in Ibiza and 40 in Hawaii. The best way to do this is to have the Metal Detector, mention above. Generally the wrecks are just off road, the metal detector activates when nearby a wreck. Just drive up to the wreck to collect it. The bonus cars can not be sold so you don't have to worry about accidentally selling them. Below are 6 videos, one for each wreck location if you need further help.

Me against all of you
Play 40 challenges in the Community Racing Center

Community Racing Centers are the same icon as the trophy image when viewing the map. A community challenge is just you alone beating the top score posted in either a Speed, Speedtrap, or Time Trial event, but you don't have to win. Look for an event that is super short, Speed or Speedtrap that lasts at least 20 seconds. Once you find one do it till the time runs out and then hit retry once the challenge ends. Do this 39 more times and the trophy will unlock.

[top]
Social Butterfly
Join and invite friends 100 times (any game mode)

NOTE: This trophy is unobtainable until Atari releases the patch that fixes the friends list, the friends list can not populate currently!

Best done if you have at least 10 friends, just invite or join all of them 10 times to earn it. To join just accept an invite they send to you. The benefit is all 10 friends will earn it as well.

[top]
Better than a GPS
Invite 10 players to drive with you in your car.

While driving around online flash your headlights at players, , and select "Co-op Driving". Unfortunately they need to accept the invite in order for it to count which almost everyone online declines them. Best done with a friend, just invite a friend to where you are driving and start Co-op Driving.

Remember, the friends list won't populate so you'll have to wait for a patch.

[top]
Co-op Challenger
Drive 150 km (93 miles) in "Keep Your Distance" and "Follow the Leader" modes

You must be in a Club to participate in Co-op challenges.

Co-op Challenges are the green icons on your map, press to page over to Multiplayer Challenges. Just play either or both modes until the trophy unlocks.

[top]
Keep your distance
Drive for 15 sec. above 100 km/h (62 mph) with 8 players in "Keep Your Distance" mode

You must be in a Club to participate in Co-op challenges.

In Keep Your Distance you and your Club members must drive a certain distance from the car in front of you. The creator of a Co-op challenge, you can only create them unless you were invited to join one, is always the lead car so drive over 100km/h (62 mph). Keep this pace up for 15 sec. and viola you did it!

[top]

Exclusive CarS
Drive all Club cars

Your Club must be Level 3 in order to access all Club Cars

There are 4 Club cars but your Club must be Level 3 in order to have the garage capacity for all 4. To upgrade your Club you must be the President of the Club, creator, and you have to have a certain amount of cash and XP. All members can donate cash towards an upgrade but the Club must race against other Clubs to gain XP. Level 2 lets you have 2 Club Cars, you can get Exclusive Car at this time, and Level 3 is all 4. Plus at Level 3 you can have 32 Club members max, this also counts towards reaching Global Level 60. Remember only the President can upgrade Clubs so contact him/her if the Club is ready for an upgrade. Do note that you can just borrow the cars and drive them but you still need to purchase them to unlock God of Cars.

[top]
My Club and Me
Drive 150 km (93 miles) in intra-Club challenges

intra-Club challenges are accessed from the "Bar" in your Club. These pit you against other Club members. All you have to do is drive till it unlocks. Note that you can get this trophy and Co-op Challenger at the same time if you choose Co-op Challenges from the Club.

[top]
Club Basher
Win 30 Club vs Club challenges

Club vs. Club challenges are accessed from the Bar in your Club. CvC challenges pit your Club against another, make sure your club members can drive really well because if you fall behind they can win the event. You could boost this if you organize your Club and a friend's Club to race each other, you only need 2 drivers per club to continue. If you don't boost then you'll need a Bugatti, since almost everyone uses it.

[top]
Marshall
Arrest 30 outlaws in Online Chase Mode

If someone nearby has received too many infractions, A.K.A. filled their "Traffic Violation" gauge, then you'll receive a call from the police asking if you want to chase. When you chase you are given a car that can suitably catch the Outlaw. You are equipped with an EMP that shuts the Outlaw's engine off, letting you move in for the bust. To use it you must hold till it reaches the end of the gauge and then release. Busting is easier than running, way to make it feel like real life Eden Games, sadly the opportunity for chases is rare but you can do this with a friend. Have your friend cause enough trouble to have him be chased, then you bust him. Just repeat until you reach 30 arrests (wins). Take note that you don't have to bust the Outlaw because any teammate that makes the bust will count towards everyone, smart move Eden Games.

[top]
Fugitive Wanted
Outrun the police 30 times in Online Chase Mode

Harder than Marshall but easier to activate. Chase Mode (Outlaw) is activated when your "Traffic Violation" meter is full. To fill it you have to hit objects and AI cars when a cop is nearby, a cop is marked as a red and blue blinking dot on the mini map. The fastest way to fill it is to hit a cop car and keep pushing it. The amount of cops chasing you determines the amount of players following you, a maximum of 7, and how many of them actually decide to chase you. Try to do this with only a small amount of players nearby, 3 is perfect. Now you just have to survive for 2 minutes and 30 seconds and you'll get it. Remember you have to do it while online and since they are real players instead of AI they can and will mess up giving you the chance to run. If you are stopped you have 5 seconds to get away, unfortunately there is a glitch where the timer still counts down even if you are pulling away but this doesn't happen all of the time. Don't worry about reaching the max Outlaw rank, it doesn't count towards anything except unlocking stickers.
