Become a Legend
Complete Become a Legend Mode
This is easier explained than done, and is some what of a long and drawn out process. Once you make your player and start this mode, you will progress through a "career" and play certain teams and have to meet certain goals. For example, you may need to make a legendary catch with your player or hit so many homeruns as a team. As long as you keep it on easy you shouldn't have any troubles at all, and you may only need to replay a few games. Just keep in mind that it's all about the turbo and Big Blast, so use them wisely and use them often.
After you complete your "career" and retire, you will begin the real challenge of "Become A Legend" and this is where the real fun starts. You will have to take on 5 legends and their respective teams before facing Babe Ruth and his team. This is where you will max out all of your stats and become legendary on everything, and this is where you will get the 5 "steal players" bronze trophies. You only have to play one game each before moving on to Babe Ruth, and once you beat his challenges you will complete this mode and unlock the trophy.
*Make sure to strike out Babe Ruth for the trophy because if you don't, and complete this mode, you will miss it and have to play it over.*
Complete the Mexico portion of Become a Legend Mode
There is nothing special to say or do about this one. You will get this trophy by natural progression of "Become A Legend" mode. Keep in mind that you will visit this area twice and will not get the trophy until after completing all games in this area the second time around.
Complete the Japan portion of Become a Legend Mode
There is nothing special to say or do about this one. you will get this trophy by natural progression of "Become A Legend" mode. Keep in mind that you will visit this area twice and will not get the trophy until after completing all games in this area the second time around.

You can play for this online but it's way easier to just do it local with a buddy. The best place to go is Las Vegas because it has the most targets and has the blimp, which is worth 100,000 points every time it's hit. The key is to get as many multipliers as you can as quickly as you can. You want to get as many points as possible while the pitcher is throwing easy pitches. There are certain targets you have to hit a certain amount of times to trigger a bonus target. Refer to "Vegas Master" trophy for target locations.

You are the Champions
Win the World Series and get a Season Score of 1,000,000 or more at the end of a Season
This is a very easy gold. You WILL get this trophy during "Season" mode. It's just part of the progression of the game. If you want it right away, you can go into a "Season" and pick either the Red Sox or the Yankees and sim all the games up until the playoffs (you can even sim those too). It's your choice. But make sure you play about three or four games first. That's all it takes to get the points as long as you do good in the games. After you have the points then sim away and take home another gold.
10 Times the Fun
Win 10 ranked online matches
At the time of the writing of this guide, the online servers are still really bad and it's almost impossible to get into a game. Once you are able to you can boost with a buddy. One person goes into "quick match" under the online options and selects "ranked" and "exhibition". Then select to create a room by pressing
. After that have your boosting buddy go into "quick match" under the online option and chose "ranked" > "exhibition game" and do a search by pressing
With the help of JuliusPleezer i was able to get this trophy thus getting my
. The key to being able to connect and boost online is to connect your ps3 directly to your modem or router with and ethernet cable. For whatever reason it's near impossible to connect otherwise. Once the game starts, the person not needing the wins for the trophy needs to quit the game after 1 out has been achieved. Rinse and repeat for a total of 10 wins and the trophy.
*Note - Homerun Pinball will not work for this trophy. It has to be a exhibition game.
Power Derby Winner
Come out on top in the BIGS 2 Power Derby in Season mode
You can start a "Season" and sim up to this point - the day before the all-star game. It's similar to homerun pinball except for a few things. (1) You are actually in a ballpark for this one. (2) You and the player you are up against are batting at the same time. (3) You are in a race to hit a certain target first. Upon starting this game you will see targets in the stands. Some look like bulls-eyes, which you will want to hit because they give you points. Others look like atomic atom symbols; you will want to hit these as soon as they pop up because they cause the pitcher to throw a turbo pitch to the other player. The objective here is to get 100,000 points first and activate your Big Blast and hit the target at the top of the stands. To do so, after you activate the Big Blast, just aim straight up with
and hit the ball with
. It is in tournament format so you will have to win all three matches and then you will have this trophy. Some tips to keep in mind is, of course, you use
to aim your shots and hit all balls with
. If you hit 3 balls in a row and they hit a target for points, you will get a bonus ball that you need to hit with
and aim straight up to hit a target worth 20,000. Doing this and repeating it is key to winning the power derby.

Win a game on Super Hard in any single player game mode
There is no inning requirement for this one so, of course, you are going to want to make it a 3-inning game. Pick one of the all-star teams for yourself and pick the worst team you can, probably the Pirates, to go up against. This is going to be all about perfect pitches and timing. The best way is to pitch outside of the batters wheelhouse, and try to make every pitch perfect. Build up points for a Big Blast and activate it and hit a homerun as soon as you can and just hold on for the win. There is no tricks or glitches to get this trophy; you just have to have some level of skill to be able to throw the perfect pitches.
Taste of Power
Perform your first Legendary Catch in any single player game mode
The best thing to do is pick one of the all-star teams for yourself and pick the other all star team to go up against, but still put it on easy. There are a few different mini-games that will pop up that you will need to know how to do. Most of them are about hitting buttons you see on the screen, or holding a button you see on the screen at just the right time. These happen at random and you will get this trophy as a natural progression through "Become A Legend" mode if you can wait for it. Here is a video from Youtube member 2k9games to better show you how. Look around 1:25 of the video.
Fill your Powerup Meter and successfully complete a Big Slam in any single player game mode
This is another really easy trophy. You will earn points by getting hits, strikeouts, and great plays in the field. The first time your meter fills up and Big Blast is ready to be used, all you have to do is press
to activate it and you'll get the trophy.
The Slam Dance
Strike Out the potential Home Run Hit on a Big Slam in any single player game mode
This one can be tricky, but you can set it up and make it happen. What you need to do is earn points and build up Big Heat. The trick here is using it while the computer has Big Slam activated. The good news here is that if you activate your Big Heat, then they will activate their Big Slam. All you do is wait until they have enough points to have one (it will say "Big Slam" underneath the teams name if they have it to use) and then pick your best pitch (should be a legendary pitch of some kind) and try your best to throw the first one perfectly. After you pitch the first one, the computer will take over until the Big Slam is done. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. You will have the best results by picking one of the all-star teams and picking the worst team to go against. Don't forget to put it on easy.
Two for the Price of One
Perform a Successful Double Steal in any single player game mode
This one is very easy. You can set up a game or just do it in a "Become A Legend" mode or "Season" mode game. Just have a man on 1st and a man on 2nd steal at the same time by pushing
to make them lead off, and pushing
to make them both steal. Push the turbo button before the pitcher throws the ball and you'll get this one easily.
Best Season Ever
Match all of the Legendary Milestones during a season in Season Mode
This will probably be the last trophy you get before
because it takes so damn long to get everything. To speed it up, here are some tips and what i did. Start this mode and pick either the Red Sox or Yankees, as they have the best lineups in the game. In order to keep from playing every single game, pick one pitcher from the starting rotation to play his games only and simulate the rest, which means you'll be playing every third game. By picking one pitcher you will build his wins and strikeouts while building the other hitting milestones. You are going to have to be able to throw perfect pitches; I can't stress that enough. Without them you won't get a lot of strikeouts and won't be able to build up your turbo to use while batting.
Here is a list of the milestones that have to all be done in the same season, and some tips on how to obtain each one. You will have to play 9-inning games to be able to build the stats up, so put it on easy and beat the other team down. I had several games that i scored well over 60 runs. It gets old after a while, and that's why this takes so long.
- 73 homeruns for the season (needs to be done by one player)
Pick one batter out of your line up to always use Big Blast with, or whom has the power up "No Doubter Homeruns", which allows them to always hit a home run when you time it perfect and use to hit. I picked David Ortiz from the Red Sox as my go-to guy.
- 4 homeruns in a game with one player
Same strategy as above.
- 130 stolen bases for the season (needs to be done by one player)
Pick one guy to always steal a base with. I picked J. Ellsbury because he has legendary speed and was the lead-off man for my team. If i got a base hit with him, I kept him on first and stole 2nd and 3rd every time. You can use turbo before the pitch is thrown to make him go even faster. You will always get the stolen base by using turbo with a guy with legendary speed.
- 7 stolen bases in a game (needs to be done by one player)
Same as above; just get 7 in one game with the same person.
- 262 hits for the season (needs to be done by one player)
This one sucks, and will take the longest. You just have to pick one guy out of your lineup to always use turbo with and get that base hit. This will be the last milestone you probably get. You can try simming, but it usually stops at 227 hits. Just use the rest of the tips I've given you and you will get it sooner or later.
- 9 hits in a game with one player
Using turbo and building up Big Slams is the key here, as they will keep you at bat and move you through the lineup giving you more chances to get hits with your team.
- 191 RBI's for the season (needs to be done by one player)
More than likely the person you have chosen to be the homerun man will be the one who gets the RBI's for you. David Ortiz was my go-to man on this one.
- 12 RBI's in a game with one player
This one is very easy. 3 grand slams is all you need and, trust me, if you put it on 9-inning games and on easy, you will get at least 4 Big Slams to use. Just try to use them on pitchers who are worn down and lost a pitch or two, instead of using it on a fresh new pitcher.
- 41 wins for the season (needs to be done by one player)
Just pick one pitcher to always play their games and win with. Once you get your other milestones, if you don't have this one, you will be close enough to sim through and have the computer finish for you.
- 383 strikeouts for the season (needs to be done by one player)
You'll get this with your one pitcher that you always use. Once you get your timing down and throw perfect pitches, you'll start getting 27 strikeouts a game like I did. That's the most you can get in a 9-inning game.
- 20 strikes out in a game (needs to be done by one player)
See above. Just use Big Heat as much as you can and use your turbo to throw better pitches. If someone does get a hit, just let them on base and not catch the ball or throw them out so you can pitch to another guy and strike him out.
Steal 3 bases in one game in any single player game mode
This is for the whole team and not just one player. To get it right away, go into "Play Now" and pick the Red Sox for yourself and the worst team for you to go against. Make sure to put it on easy too, because that always helps. J. Ellsbury is quick as hell in this game, and you can get 3 stolen bases easily. Just get a base hit with him and stop him on first base by holding
; after he reaches 1st base, push
twice (once for a lead off, and once for the actual steal) on the first pitch of the next batter to steal 2nd base. Repeat for 3rd base and you have two right there. You can use turbo by pressing
first before pressing
twice to start the steal. Don't forget to press
to slide in to safety.

Get 5 Home Runs in a single game in any single player game mode
This is for the whole team and not just one player. To get it right away, go into "Play Now" and pick one of the all-star teams for yourself and someone like the Pirates for you to go against (don't forget to put it on easy). You'll build points with base hits, great plays, and strikeouts. If you put it to a 9-inning game you will have more than enough time to fill your Big Blast meter 5 times and use it. This is a very simple trophy and you should get it on your first try.
Party Like it's 1881!
Get a Grand Slam without using the Big Slam powerup in any single player game mode
This will happen many times over throughout your "Become a Legend" and "Season" gameplay. To speed up the process, go to "Play Now" and pick one of the all-star teams and pick who ever you want for the team you go up against. You can use turbo and even Big Blast to obtain this. I had bases loaded and activated the Big Blast and hit a grand slam and it gave me the trophy, so this will take a couple of innings to set up. Get enough points to have a Big Blast available and get enough turbo built up to assist in getting base hits. Get three singles in a row and take control of the base runner if need be, to control him and keep him from running for more than just a single. There will be a button icon to push that will allow you to take control of the base runner and then you can use
to control what direction they go in.
Keep in mind that
advances all runners and
returns all runners to the base they were previously on. To make it simple, after you hit the ball, keep pushing
to make the base runners not go any further once they pass the next base on the path. Again, load the bases and activate Big Blast (not Big Slam because that won't work) to hit a grand slam and enjoy another trophy.

Take that Blimp Down
Hit the Blimp with a Big Blast in the Las Vegas Home Run Pinball Venue
This one is not as hard as I first thought. Once I knew how to do it, I was able to do it all the time. Play until you have a Big Blast available to use. As soon as you see the blimp fly over the pyramid with the light coming out of it at the top right of the screen, activate your big blast. Hit the ball by pressing only
and no direction and you'll hit the blimp. Here's a video from Youtube member SpamShock to better show you:
Slay the Giant Brute
Hit the Giant Brute with a Big Blast in the Shibuya Home Run Pinball Venue
There are four billboards in the middle over towards the right a little: a pink one, a blue one with a bird on it, a purple one, and a green and black one. You have to hit these once each in order to make them fall showing the brute behind. To hit them you press
and between up and right with
. Once the brute is exposed you need to activate a big blast and aim in the same direction (between up and right) and hit the ball with
. Here's a video from Youtube member Thebiz1990 to better show you:
Break the globe in the Times Square Home Run Pinball venue
This trophy is not talking about the New Year's Ball that is straight ahead.
To get this trophy you have to hit the world globe four times in Times Square (not the retro one). It has the letters BCG on it and is up and to the left of the screen ever so slightly. To hit it, aim up and slightly left with
and hit the ball with
. It's a very easy trophy and here is a video from Youtube member Thebiz1990 to better show you how:
Happy New Years
Hit the New Year's Ball with a Big Blast in the Retro Times Square Home Run Pinball Venue
The retro Times Square location will be unlocked late in the "Become A Legend" mode. This is a very easy trophy to obtain. Hit balls and get points until you have a Big Blast ready. Activate it and hit the ball with
while aiming straight up with
to hit the New Year's ball straight in front of you.
Can't Intimidate Me!
Get a Wheelhouse Turbo x3 strike vs Legendary Batting Attributes in any single player game mode
In order to obtain this you have to throw 3 straight strikes with no contact being made from the batter (no foul balls can be hit or it won't count) with the last one being in the batters wheelhouse. Again, it has to be 3 straight strikes with the last one being in the batters wheelhouse, and the batter has to have either legendary contact or power for it to work as well. Perfect pitches are a must here. You should get this through the course of "Become A Legend" but to speed the process up, I'll explain how to get it right away.
Go into "Play Now" and select the American League all-stars as your team, and the Boston Red Sox as the team you will face. Select easy difficulty and C. Lee as your pitcher, because he has 3 Legendary pitches. Then move to the Red Sox batting order and move David Ortiz to number 1 and start the game. Throw two strikes outside of the batters wheelhouse and make the final strike in the wheelhouse. Here is a video from Youtube member SpamShock to better show you. At the end of the video it says you have to have all three strikes in the wheelhouse, but that is incorrect. I got the trophy again on my gameshare account to double check, and it just has to be three straight strikes with the last one in the batters wheelhouse.
Get a shutout in a 5 inning game minimum in any single player game mode
See "Textbook Perfection" trophy.
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting an official hit
See "Textbook Perfection" trophy.
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting on base at all
All "textbook" trophies can, and should, be obtained in one 5-inning game. It needs to be said that being able to throw a "perfect" pitch is required. It's all about timing, but you have to hold the pitch button and release it as the meter fills and reaches the top. It will take some practice but you can do it.
First go into settings and make sure it's on easy; that will help. Next, when picking teams, pick a team with a great starting pitcher. I picked the San Francisco Giants to be able to pitch with T. Lincecum, as he has two legendary pitches and that helps a lot. Pick the team San Guerrero Pollos (it's a fake team and the worst on the game) to go up against. As I stated before, being able to throw perfect pitches and get turbo is very important. Just try to pitch away from each batters wheelhouse and make sure to get as much turbo to use while on defense in case they do hit it. You can use it to get to a ball very quickly, or to throw a runner out quickly. Make sure to save your special and use it as the pitcher for Big Heat, and not as the batter using Big Blast. If you get a strike-out with Big Heat, it will almost give you enough points to have another one, so it's important to use a mixture of Big Heat and turbo strikeouts.
Hit for the Cycle
Hit for the cycle in any single player game mode
In order to get this trophy you have to hit a single, double, triple, and a homerun with the same player in the same game. To make sure you give yourself enough time, you will want to go to "Play Now" and make it a 9-inning game. The best thing to do is pick one of the all-star teams for your self and pick the worst team to go against (that would be the San Guerrero Pollos). You will need to use turbo to not only help you hit the ball, but more so on the base path as you're running bases.
The single and double are very easy and can be obtained with a solid base hit by hitting the ball with
and aiming left or right, but keep in mind that the better the timing you have on the swing, the better the hit will be. The homerun is the easiest, as all you would need to do is activate a Big Blast with the player and knock it out of the park. That leads us to the hard part - the triple. Here's the best way I found to make it every time:
Try to have a man on first and at least three blocks of turbo built up. Activate one block of turbo as the batter by pressing
to help get a better hit. After you hit the ball, if it goes into the outfield and is not going to be caught in the air, hold the turbo button (
) to make the runners move faster and then hold
to keep them running forward. Don't stop. Even if the first runner gets thrown out a home, as long as it's not the third out and your hitter makes it to third base, then you have your triple.
Strike out Babe Ruth
This trophy can be missed!
At the very end of "Become A Legend" mode you will have to go up against Babe Ruth and his team of all-time greats in 4 different challenges. If you do not strike him out at least once in one of these 4 challenges and you finish "Become A Legend" mode, you will have to play it over. Trust me, that will suck big time. The best way to do this is obtain the ability to use Big Heat and save it for when you face Babe Ruth. Activate it when he steps to the plate and try your best to make every pitch a perfect pitch and you should have no troubles. Also, aim for the corners of the strike zone. DO NOT pitch it down the middle or he will crush the ball.
Against the Odds
Get a base hit off of a legendary pitch in any single player game mode
There's not much to say about this one, as the description says it all. You will get this through the course of "Become A Legend" and/or "Season" mode. If you want speed it up, go into "Play Now" and pick one of the all-star teams for your team and pick a team with a pitcher that has one legendary pitch as your opponent. Simply get a base hit and that's it.
