Art Camp Crazy

For a Gold trophy, this is quite simple. From the Home Screen, go to Art Camp. There will be 6 different activities that you must "explore" to earn this trophy. They are:
  1. Coloring Book
  2. Number Paint
  3. Dot Drawing
  4. Alien Splat
  5. Tilt Maze
  6. Tilt Coloring

You do not have to complete the activity for this trophy; you must simply enter it and you can immediately exit and move on to the next. Once you have explored all the Art Camp Activities, the trophy will pop up.

Anti-Alien
Completed Level 1 in the Alien Splat Game

From the Home Screen, click on Art Camp, then the Alien Splat Game.

The in-game instructions are as follows:

Level 1 is extremely easy as you don't have any offensive Aliens yet. Simply splat the Aliens and UFOs that show up on screen. Once you have splattered 100, the Boss will show up. This boss erratically moves around the screen and stops every few seconds to shoot in all directions. All you have to do is stay above or below the boss... once it stops, move yourself a little right or left so you are not directly above/below it. You should easily avoid the shot. Now before it recovers, you must click on the Boss to Splat it. Repeat this until the Boss's health is gone and you will progress to the next wave. The trophy will pop upon completion of the 1st level.

Sizzling Splatter
Completed Level 10 in the Alien Splat Game

From the Home Screen, click on Art Camp, then the Alien Splat Game.

The in-game instructions are as follows:

You will need to progress through all 10 levels of the Alien Splat Game for this trophy. Each level consists of splatting the Aliens and UFOs that show up on screen. Once you have splattered 100, a Boss will show up. Repeat this until the Boss's health is gone and you will progress to the next Level.

As you progress through the levels, offensive Aliens start showing up that will stop and shoot a 4-way shot. You can easily dodge these but, it can get tricky if several of them do this at the same time. Progressing even further brings another offensive Aliens that will stop and shoot a "homing" shot at you every couple seconds. You will want to prioritize these Green Aliens (homing shot) as they are the most dangerous. Then focus on the Blue (4-way shot), then the others. You will get seemingly unlimited continues so it will just be a matter of time, even if you suck at this portion of the game.

The trophy will pop upon completion of the 10th and final level.

Bring it on!
Obtained 6 lives in the Alien Splat Game

From the Home Screen, click on Art Camp, then the Alien Splat Game.

For this trophy, you must simply accumulate 6 lives (the maximum you can carry). While playing through the levels, you will see mini Remmy heads come flying across the screen. If you can splat it, you will get a Life. You can see how many you have in the top right corner of the screen. You will see small Remmy head circles. Do this every time you see the Remmy head and don't lose any lives (by being hit) and you will get the trophy once you reach 6.

[top]
Splat Maniac!
Completed 2 Levels in a row without losing a Life in the Alien Splat Game

From the Home Screen, click on Art Camp, then the Alien Splat Game.

For this trophy, you must make it through 2 levels without getting hit at all. If you get hit, you will lose a life. Obviously, levels 1 and 2 are the easiest and should offer you the least challenge to get this trophy. You will have to take down 2 Bosses but, this should be easy if you follow the information in Anti-Alien. Complete 2 levels, in a row, without losing a life and the trophy is yours.

Apparently there may be issues with this trophy not popping up. Here's a comment that may help:

Tilting Hero
Completed a Tilt Maze in 60 seconds

See Maze Master for complete details on the Tilt Mazes. For this trophy, you need to complete a Tilt Maze in under 60 seconds. You will get this one via normal gameplay as you get better at navigating with the tilt feature.

[top]
Maze Master
Completed all 40 Tilt Mazes with a total time of less than 40 minutes

From the Home Screen, go to Art Camp. Then click on Tilt Maze. This will load up the Maze selection screen showing you all 40 mazes that are available to play. You must complete Maze 1 to unlock Maze 2 and so on.

The object is simple; you must guide the ball from the Start area (Green Paint) to the Finish area (Checkered Flag) in the shortest time possible and without running out of paint. There will be color pick-ups to guide you along your way and to replenish your paint.

The 40 mazes consist of only 10 maze layouts with 4 variations each:
  • Mazes 1-10 are the base maze layout and all you have to do is ram through the maze as quickly as possible.
  • Mazes 11-20 are the base maze layout with a few holes placed loosely that you must avoid.
  • Mazes 21-30 are the base maze layout with several holes placed that you must avoid; the number of color pickups is also reduced.
  • Mazes 31-40 are also the base maze layout but, now there are a ton of holes to avoid and the number of color pickups is at a minimum.

This is definitely the longest trophy but, IMO was not all that difficult. There are walls to guide you around the holes and little cubby holes to slam into that help to avoid the holes as well. With the color pickups to guide you, you really don't have to worry about the actual solving of the mazes. Many of the mazes (even with holes) can be completed in less than 30 seconds leaving you tons of time to on the later levels to avoid the plethora of holes. Maze #40 was the most difficult, of course. However, with having gone through it 3 times already, you know that basic route to take and now just need to do so without falling into the holes. It took me several attempts to even make it through some of the maze levels but, the bonus to that is you get better at it and do it quicker.

You can always take your time and get each maze done on the 1st try. However, you will then have to go back and get better times to bring your total down under 40 minutes for all mazes. Personally, I'd rather try (and retry) the mazes as I went through them the 1st time so that I wouldn't have to start over and do them all again for better times. This trophy came naturally for me and I didn't have to replay any levels utilizing the try (retry) method.

Once you have completed all 40 mazes (and your total time is under 40 minutes) the trophy will pop up.

Here's my final time for Maze 40 and my total time:

Completed Level 3 in the Tilt Painting Challenge Game

See Challenge Champ for full details regarding the Tilt Painting Challenges. For this trophy, you must simply complete the 3rd one. This isn't too bad yet but, can provide a little frustration.

[top]
Challenge Champ
Completed Level 5 in the Tilt Painting Challenge Game

From the Home Screen, go to Art Camp. Then click on Tilt Painting and choose Challenge.

There are 5 levels in this mode that you must complete. The way it works is pretty self-explanatory but, I'll explain it anyway, haha. You are automatically assigned a color to start. You will have control of the ball and must tilt the uDraw tablet to move the ball around collecting the color dots that appear. Every 4th color dot you pick up will add "holes" to the canvas that you must, from there on, avoid or it's game over. The fist 3-4 levels are pretty easy but, once you reach level 5 you must collect 100 color dots to win. That means there will be 24 holes that you must avoid for the last 4 color dots

Take your time and utilize the outside edges when possible. You don't really have to worry about running out of paint on your ball unless you just can't seem to control the direction of the ball and wander all over the place. Also, remember that you are controlling a ball that has forward momentum and spin... it's not going to turn on a time. You will need to keep in mind that you will be making semi-long arching turns. You can "cheat" this a little by going slow and when you want to make a sharp turn, tilt the uDraw tablet in the opposite direction of your current path to "stop" and then tilt in the direction you want to go. This was the hardest trophy in the game IMO; and it wasn't that difficult.

Complete all 5 levels and the trophy is yours.

Color Conundrum
Used all the colors in the Palette Wheel in Tilt Painting Freeplay Mode

From the Home Screen, go to Art Camp. Then click on Tilt Painting and choose Free Play.

This will place you on a blank Whiteboard canvas with a colored ball. You can tilt your uDraw tablet to make the ball roll around painting the selected color from the Color Wheel (located in the top right corner of the screen). You can select different colors by pressing and on the d-pad. Simply keep rolling the ball around and tapping until you earn the trophy. The color select is pretty sensitive and may skip a color from time to time so you may have to keep going (possibly more than once around the Color Wheel) if you accidentally skipped a color.

The trophy will pop up once you have used all the colors.

Watched a Slideshow of your Gallery Paintings

From the Home Screen, click on the Gallery Icon. Here you may select any of the Gallery types you want to view your saved pictures in. By the time your 1st picture is loaded and playing through, the trophy will pop up.

Canvas Country
Saved a Painting on each of the 11 Different Canvas Types

This trophy, while easy, seems to have a strict requirement. The canvases must be used and saved while in the Art Play section of the game. From the Home Screen, it's the top middle icon named Art Play.

There are 11 different Canvases and they are:
  1. Whiteboard
  2. Canvas
  3. Cardboard
  4. Chalkboard
  5. Concrete
  6. Construction Paper
  7. Drawing Paper
  8. Newsprint
  9. Notebook Paper
  10. Watercolor Paper
  11. Wood

I tried combining this trophy with the Art Lessons and a few others but, they did not count as using the backgrounds. You must do this from Art Play and by selecting the background in that menu list. Simply go through each one and save the picture to your Gallery. See Personal Masterpiece for details on saving a picture to your Gallery.

It's Customary
Drag and Drop a Custom Color into the Palette Wheel

While in any Art Project, you will have a toolbar on the right side of the screen. At the bottom of this toolbar is your Current Color, Previous Color and the active Color Wheel. Hover over your Current Color (above and left of the Color Wheel) and you will notice a "+" pop out; click on it. This will bring up a more advanced color selection tool. Choose a color to your liking and you will notice the "Suggested" colors icons to the right . Drag one of these down to the color wheel to add it and the trophy will pop up within a few seconds.

[top]
Stroke of Luck
Selected a Different Stroke Mode in the Brushstroke Menu

While in any Art Project, you will have a Tools Toolbar on the right side of the screen. This toolbar contains your Current Tool, recently used tools, and your Color Wheel. The top left of this toolbar is where you will find your Currently selected tool. Move your stylus over it and a "+" will pop out. Now click on the "+" and a new Brush Type window will pop up. Select any of these choices and use it on the canvas. The trophy should pop up within a few seconds.
